Hi I want to upgrade my pc, in term of speed and that's it really. I also bought some part already and I was wondering if this suffice or maybe I need more. (P.s I bought this part couple of months back because I thought these part is good enough and also my budget was very tight back then). -H61+/B75 motherboard -Intel i3 2100 3.1 GHz -(2×8) GB RAM DDR3 1333 MHZ -SSD M2 NVME 128 GB And (I think) this is my current setup -Intel i5 650 socket 1156 -Motherboard Chipset Intel h55 -8GB (4×2) RAM DDR3 -500GB HDD -GTX 950 -Casing Varro/power up standard My current budget right now is around 60 dollar (I live in the third world country so most computer part is probably affordable I think....) so I was hoping I can get a good recommendations and hopefully I can run some cpu dependant game or just be able to play Witcher 3 smoothly lol. I want to upgrade my Cpu in my laptop and i was wondering if the i7-4910MQ is possible to install into the laptop. many sites have said no and yes so, I am confused on whether or not it would work before I buy one. my second option is the i7-4712MQ if it would work also. i currently have a i5-4310M Cpu and my bios is A24. my ac adapter is 65 watts, and my ram is 16Gb DDR3 1600Mhz. i am mostly wondering what the best Cpu i could install in my laptop. it also runs windows 10 pro if that matters.

Hello y'all, I need to hear other peoples opinion. I mostly play video games and have an interest in learning UE5 and modding maps (on Ark Ascended). Im currently running a Ryzen 3600 and will be upgrading on Black Friday. A 5900x is 10 bucks cheaper than 5800x3D. I know about 3D v cache is good for gaming and all but having more cores is also nice as well. Can y'all give me y'alls opinion on which CPU you would choose and why? Thank you!

Hi all I hope you had a nice day today, I wanted to ask your opinion on an upgrade that I was considering recently. As for a little background, I had this build (link) for over a year and it's been a pretty decent experience with it. As you might recall, however, by the time I built this PC, the GPU prices were EXTREMELY high and therefore I went with a 3060, which costed me about 380-400€. But, since the new RTX40 series made their place in the market, I am wondering how effective it'd be for me to upgrade my RTX3060 which honestly is not used that much anyway... I'm definitely going to sell my GPU if I decide to upgrade, which I'm thinking I can sell it for about 250-300€ range, so that gives me an additional boost to afford maybe something like the RTX4060? And lastly, I'd be doing this change most likely after Christmas, but before that I wanted to hear your ideas about the upgrade, as this is my first ever build. Thank you very much!

Hi So I have an old laptop that I still like to use, Its a Clevo W230SD (i7 4gen haswell,960m 2gb) and the max cpu that was sold was the i7 4910MQ 47W and I want to upgrade it to i7 4940MX 57W Do you think that the laptop heatsink will cool that ? (If not I want to try DYI moddified the heatsink so i dont think it will be problem in the future but I am still asking) ps: Any idea on DYI heatsing upgrads ? I want to get a 5 5600 to replace my 3 3300x . But i will need to update my bios from P3.90 to P5.30 for the 5600 to work with my motherboard. Do I need to go from 3.90 to 4.20, to 4.30, and so on until I reach 5.30? I know this is a dumb question but I am asking this because some BIOS updates in the description say "*Caution!!! Please do NOT update this BIOS if 3300X CPU is being used on your system. *ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system. *Before updating this BIOS, please also read the description in previous BIOS version." It says this in the 4.90 and 5.00 description. Also a few add on questions, what is the "CPU Rev." column that the 5600 has nothing in?, and if i'm updating my bios should I just update it to the newest version, or is that not recommended? I wrote this badly but the main thing I was trying to ask is, will it be fine updating my bios from 3.90 directly to 5.30 with the 3 3300x in it before I replace it with my 5 5600 that I will get? also i know this isn't the right topic forum thingy, but might as well kill two two birds with one stone. i'm planning to upgrade my gpu to the RX 6700 xt as well. with the R5 5600 bottleneck it or vice versa?

Other details Upgrading from my 7 year old pc, currently have a 1060 6GB, i5-7500 3.40GHz, 16GB 2133MHz of ram. Struggling a lot with the newer games, especially on the CPU end of things, it always seems to max out on pretty much whatever I play. Ram has also been a slight issue lately, playing lots of Arma 3 hosting servers which eats it all up (constantly sitting at 16/16GB ram). I am in no need for any peripherals or storage, upgraded my pc a few years back with a 2TB SSD which I plan on switching over to my new pc. I'm always using two monitors, my main one being 144hz 2560x1440, and my other one being 60hz 1920x1080. I'm pretty lost already when it comes to picking out what I want, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I've always preferred Nvidia GPU's, but when it comes to the CPU I don't really have a preference. I'm extremely thankful if anyone has any suggestions!

Hello, Recently I bought HP Prodesk 400 G1 SFF, I'm trying to figure out motherboards power consumption cuz I wanna do few upgrades. Idk if I don't know how to use google or what, but I can't seem to find any info on the motherboard (model no.: 718414-001). Currently it has 2x4GB ddr3, i3-4160, 120gb SSD and 80+ bronze 240 W active PFC PSU, basically everything is stock. I'm planning to add 3x 1tb wd blacks because I have them just laying around, nvidia quadro p400 2gb gddr5. I ordered pcie controller for two more SATA ports. So motherboards power consumption is my main concern, because I calculated power consumption of this system excluding motherboard, stock PSU should be enough, but it may depend of MB consumption, how much it may differ from regular low power 24pin motherboard. Oh and btw, I'm going to use this pc for plex (doing up to 1x 4k stream and up to 2x 1080p transcoded streams simultaneously) and running one vallheim or mc server at a time. I have an Alienware Aurora R9 and wanted to upgrade it with a Corsair 4000D Airflow. Should I keep the same motherboard and HDD? Or should I buy a new MOBO, HDD, SSD? I am still booting off and HDD so I buying these parts but don't want to spend over 200 or around that price range. Can someone help me?

I was originally wanted to go for R5 3600XT for the balanced workload of gaming and workstation setup (+ MORE CORES for basically the same price when I bought this CPU) but now I dun kno if it was necessary at all. Other program was running completely fine. If anything, I want at least have a bit more headroom for video editing programs coz they eat so much cpu utilization. I had other peripheral and important component, so those thing isn't my priority. Just the mobo and cpu from AMD.

I just had some questions before upgrading my build. I'm planning on switching from an intel 7600k to a ryzen 5800x, and I wanna make sure I don't mess anything up. Questions I have: Will I have problems switching from intel to amd? Will I have to buy another windows license? Or will my old one still be good? I have a 250gb wd ssd, which is my bootup drive, in my current pc. If I need another windows license, do I still need the 250gb ssd? Or could I just use a different ssd? Thanks in advance!

I bought it from a gentleman ,who used his console more and rarely every played on the gaming rig, for a trade of 330 cash and an old 720p polaroid hd tv i had at the time. I was around 16 or 17 when I got it. It retailed for about 1000 to 1100 in that range and has done me good for a while. Got me through a lot of CS:GO which has been my main played game ever since starting in 2015. Im having issues where i'm just not having enough power anymore when it comes to new games. Cant play warzone bc its too intense. Modded Dayz is slow for me and drops frames bc it needs a lot of ram. CSGO i only get 150 frames on average. The new halo I don't even meet system requirements, even though I was still able to play it after a couple games it would crash all together. Rust I bought but cant even run and it takes ages to get into a server with all the preloads you do when connecting. My parts are for the most part outdated and I plan to upgrade. I have buddies I can have help me build a new pc or upgrade using my existing case. I'm also 20 now and i'm sure its not rocket science so. Would it be plausible to save money to build a complete new rig and attempt to sell my old one( might be difficult given the parts are pretty dated.)What are the best bang for your buck parts that will get me through the next 3 to 5 years of gaming without too much drag. I would really appreciate the help. If using a monthly payment option on a website is feasible I could also look into that route. Also since doing research I found that in cpu Z. My uncored ram is at 3000 mhz but my dram is at 1199.8 mhz which is 2400mhz almost exactly. Do I have anything to worry about and is mixing and matching fine doing a 16+8 setup in a single to double channel. Hi folks, Looking at upgrading my CPU (Ryzen 7 1700x) and RAM (16G G.Skill SK Hynix) but wanted some clarification before I went ahead with it. Based on my MOBO manufacturers website (MSI x370 SLI PLUS - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X370-SLI-PLUS/support#support-cpu), there are RAM compatibility requirements based on the CPU not just the MOBO. I'm planning on getting a 3000 series Ryzen and confident that will be compatible MOBO (after a BIOs update) but will I also have to get RAM that is specifically on the manufacturers website? Cheers!
