Specs are Intel i7-3820, 16gigs DDR3, a GTX 660, and lastly an Intel SATA SSD Right now it runs BeamNG at about 30fps on lowest. I'm not expecting a miracle to happen like 4k at 300fps, but a more realistic 1080p at 60fps (120 would be nice). Later I am looking forward to upgrading my GPU to something like a 4070. So what CPU would you suggest buying right now? (not too expensive) Ryzen 5 3600 Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus Corsair RM850 As far as I know my mainboard shouldn't be a problem right? A BIOS Update should make it possible to pair it with newer ryzen CPUs (AM4)? Thanks!

So I have a 1070 now I want to upgrade for a decent 1440P GPU 4070 Super or one of the AMD Cards? Trying to keep it between 500-700 USD Range but anything less with decent performance is a plus give me decent reasons as to what card you suggest I see these 12GB cards preforming well but some games use more VRAM so I just worry and have always been a green card owner but would be willing to move to an AMD platform if the price and performance warrants it.

I'm hoping to keep the ram, psu, gpu maybe, and storage, I have a MSI MPG Series GUNGNIR 110R case already. I just need to know whats good, used or new. I may wait to buy the parts for like 2-3 months if that makes a difference. Noise is no issue, i do not care how loud it is, i just want it to be fast. It will be on the carpet however as the listing for the desk i bought had wrong measurements. With the previously said driver version thing, the reason it has to be that is because while in vr, any other driver version will cause videos inside vr to become green and all messed up and causes crashing. Hello, I just "upgraded" my PC to I think better specs but I'm not sure that's why I want to ask here (I generally don't know too much about building a Computer). I had previously built 2 x 8GB (3200 MHz) in my PC. But now I took "old" parts from my other PC and now I've installed additionally 1 x 16 (3000 MHz) and 1 x 8 (1200 MHz). The question now is, is it optimal? I now have 40 GB of RAM but I'm unsure how many MHz they are running. The task manager tells me it is 2133 MHz but I don't know if that's true or if that is even good. Thanks for the help already!

I have a small 500gb SSD as my main storage for my operating system and programs but it's starting to get full with programs and updates. I would like to get a larger storage device and maybe go to a m.2 drive and transfer my OS to it. Anyone ever done this and do they know how to as it would be good to be able to upgrade space and still use my SSD as a game storage device.

So I will be upgrading my pc within the next 5 ish weeks and I've decided to change my 6500xt out for a 6800, my current CPU is an i5-11400f and I wanted to know how much better an i7-11700 is and of its worth it or if there are better options for upgrading my CPU. I mostly play Rainbow 6 Siege, Asseto Corsa Competizion, Fortnite, and Minecraft, and yes I know that Fortnite and Minecraft don't need much to run them but I play both in a competitive scene so things do get laggy when alot is going on. So basically I'm just wondering if the i7-11700 is that much better that I should upgrade or if there is another CPU that is worth it.

So I've basically already decided on the 6800 but I wanted to hear what some of you guys think and if maybe I should go for the 6800xt instead and or if the 6700XT and 6800 are so comparable it that I should go with the cheaper one. As far as I know the 6800 is better than the 6700XT by quite a bit.

Hi, New user and wanted to ask about something that has been on my mind. Sorry if posted in a wrong way. is there anyway for me to keep my asus tuf gryphon z97 armor edition up to date with some of the new features that are on the market? Would be nice to not have to buy a whole new system, especially when i don't really need anything better at the moment. I don't game that much anymore and my computer is running just fine for how i'm using it. It would be nice to be able to keep it in as good of a state as i can. Might sound dumb and i know a lot of you might scream "pci-e cards!" , But I still want to ask and see what you fine people would recommend. If you feel there is something i should add or do to keep it as update as possible please tell me.

What are your thoughts on this matter, I haven't heard much about it but I know Solidworks has a certified GPU list and the 40 series isn't on that list. Current Problem: PC doesn't POST with new CPU in but everything works perfectly fine with the old CPU. This is despite having updated the BIOS, and having cleared the CMOS(Multiple times). Summary: The PC works completely 100% fine when the old CPU is in, but the moment I put a new compatible CPU in (did 2 so far) it refuses to POST. I did everything in: https://linustechtips.com/topic/42440-readme-how-to-respond-to-a-no-post-or-no-power-up-situation/ and still the issue persist. It can't POSSIBLY be 2 brand new CPUs being DEAD on arrival could it?! Details: I flashed version 5.2 of the BIOS to the motherboard, booted with my old pc, verified that it is indeed the version, then shut everything down and put the new CPU, the Ryzen 9 5900X, which should work fine on it. However when I turn the PC on it doesn't post it just stays on with fans and leds going forever with no display. I tried different RAM sets, both of which work with the old CPU but neither work with the new. Had 1 stick of ram on each slot, I did that with each RAM in both slots. Disconnected everything, only had the 1 HDMI plugged to the GFX card to a screen and no signal. I know very little about BIOS settings but I don't think those would matter since I cleared the CMOS and we're talking about a brand new CPU.The motherboard & original CPU is from an old Origin PC that a friend of mine gave me when they were upgrading their PC. I don't know if that matters but at this point I am grasping at straws. I would absolutely appreciate any help, thank you.
