Hi, Today i have ordered a new ssd today as I didn't have one before and it was at a very good deal. So now I am thinking deeply. I am without a doubt certain on installing a new copy of windows and formatting the drive. My 'problem' is that I'm really not sure about if I should uninstall my windows on my hdd, and also my apps on my old windows, can I still put them on my home screen with my new ssd copy such as Google and ccleaner. Or would I have to reinstall then on my new ssd. Many thanks, Fire!

So I have two linux distros along with windows 11. Windows 10 was present first and then ELEMENTARY OS and KALI LINUX were installed. About a year later, since my pc was low on RAM and not doing good with windows 11, I started using elementary which I found to have some problems with and I also didnt want kali linux just existing doing nothing. Now I wish to remove both these distros while keeping windows 11 and then installing another linux distro later. Should I just use the windows UEFI method from settings to boot into windows directly, Or will that cause problems when the new Grub arrives with my new distro. How do I even delete the EFIs of both distros? Please offer a solution.

So, I've been having this problem for a while... I have a Ryzen 5 3400G, a ECS A320AM4-M3D motherboard, bios "American Megatrends 5.14", smbios 3.2, 8 gigs of ram and Windows 10 Home (10.0.19044 comp. 19044) as my OS, I'm not sure about my power but it looks like a generic 500w. What happends is that randomly in games or even youtube my pc will either freeze or black screen and atop responding, the keyboard, clicks and mouse movement will make a beep noise but if in Voive Call, it keeps running perfectly... After restating (or sometimes turning off and on the pc without having this problem) both radeon software and my drivers will dissappear. I have tried changing versions, to the newest abalible, or older... But it won't solve change things. There was a previos topic identical to my problem, but it didn't help since it didn't get anywhere

GamePass on PC is Permanently Deleting Storage on My SSD
steeze206 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
https://www.resetera.com/threads/gamepass-pc-is-a-ticking-time-bomb-that-results-in-permanently-lost-hdd-ssd-space-unless-you-nuke-windows.340696/ Look at this BS. I uninstalled Forza Horizon 5 and the Master Chief Collection because I had games I'd rather play. After uninstalling (through the app) I noticed disk space wasn't cleared up. So I searched for where the default installation is. Was hit with an error message saying I'm not able to access this folder? On MY PC? Get outta here. 20 minutes later and a few elevated commands via command prompt later I had access to the WindowsApps folder. Found where the games are supposed to be installed and boom...... nothing there. An hour of scouring the internet later and I've found zero solutions, yet countless claims of people suffering from the same thing with no solution in sight. So now I've ordered another $100 1TB NVME SSD because of a backwards software design philosophy that's basically Apple's anti Right to Repair frenzy but with a software spin. Let the user decide what is best. Even EA Play can manage this. The perennially worst voted company in the US. You click uninstall on Madden and like magic.... IT ACTUALLY WORKS. I will gladly pay full price for Uncharted, Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War and more to Sony to not put up with this bullshit. Microsoft is just Apple with half the brand recognition and an ever fading illusion of moral high ground. GamePass is such a great deal and I generally like Microsoft but this is unacceptable. I made an account hoping one of you guys might be able to find a solution as I'd assume we're all quite tech savvy on this corner of the internet. -
Recently my laptop is being really slow inspite of having a SSD....and windows is occupying around 150gb for some reason....and i do get BSODs often....i am getting update errors....ran sfc/scannow and it told everything is fine....i have a intel 660p as my ssd(only have bluestacks in C drive and only CODM in bluestacks)....so I decided to use the reset option in the settings....so will doing that reset uninstall my drivers? also i dont have much time for reinstalling each driver one by one....so if the drivers gets uninstalled can i rely on "driver booster" for installing and updating the drivers?? i have forza horizon 4 installed in my d drive and not my OS drive...so will i get any issues while trying to run forza horizon 4 after resetting the pc? or should i reinstall forza horizon 4 too? also another help with my antivirus...i have norton antivirus and have subscribed for a pack which allows 1 pc to be using the antivirus...so if i reset my pc and reinstall norton and log in with the id it gave...will i get any issues where i cannot activate it here?

Hello, last year I got a prebuilt (don’t scream at me lmao) and it came with a wifi adapter installed. I have an ethernet cable plugged in so there isn’t really a use for it. However I have no idea how to uninstall it. Thank you! (Don’t mind the dust)

Platform: windows 10 One of my harddrives broke this week. This was the harddrive most of the software I use was installed on. I now have a new drive and I want to install some of the programs again. I first tried installing paint.net but it got an installation error because my pc apparently thinks it's still installed. OK fine, I can remove it through the control panel, right? Nope! The control panel can't uninstall the software as it's missing an uninstaller. Now I can neither install or uninstall the programs I want. Does someone know how I can solve this issue?

For macOS, there's a great app called AppCleaner that also removes all the associated files for an app when you move the main software file to the trash. I'm new to Windows, and I guess that Windows doesn't automatically delete all traces of an app when you click "Uninstall" from the Windows Start Menu. How do I easily and completely remove a program from Windows?

Hi everyone! Been setting up a modded Minecraft server with some friends today. Everyone's installs went smoothly, except one. He downloaded java to run the Forge .jar file, and the file appears to be associated with Java based on the thumbnail image. However the .jar file refused to open, it would just run a cmd window for a split second, then close. The default programs menu doesn't even seem to know Java exists, so I think it's an issue with his install of Java, but uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't do anything. I thought our best bet would be this registry cleanup thing: https://java.com/en/download/help/manual_regedit.xml#java7 The Microsoft tool they link goes to a 404, so I had to try the manual option. But alas, he installed (then uninstalled, multiple times) Java version 8, and this only gives instructions for versions 7.0 and older. When I tried searching in the specified folder for 8.0 using the same format, it didn't come up with anything. We just need to run a damn .jar file! What can be done?? Thanks!

I've found that the ActivTrak monitoring software has been installed onto my computer. The program runs via an agent which goes undetected on my system, and I have no way of removing it from my PC. Is there any way I can rid myself of this nefarious software? I'm given no clues as to how it runs as none of my tasks give any hint of it running out in the open, and I was only able to find this out via trying to install it for myself, where I was promptly greeted with the response that it had already been installed by another user.

Need Help Uninstalling SolidWorks
i_know_but_need_help posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
So basically I was being stupid and decided to just try to move solidworks program files from c drive to d drive. I somehow moved, them but obviously it didint work. Then i panicked and just started deleteing all soldiworks files, from program files, users, everywhere. However, in control panel, solidworks still shows up, but when, it tries to uninstall from there, it doesn't work, and continuously fails. I had tried reinstlaling soldiworks only to go in this cycle again, and I am here, with no solidworks instqaller files or anything, but solidworks still shows up still in contorl panel, and doesnt uninstall. I even deleted all solidworks registry files.- 2 replies

Okay, where to begin. Bought a logitech mouse a long time back, no problems, worked great, didn't mind the extra buttons being generic. Recently, bought a headset with "built in surround sound" but it only activates with G-hub. I've had nothing but issues with G-hub since day one, it took me uninstalling both it and my headset's drivers 3 times total before it even registered they existed, then unplugging and replugging another 5-6 before it said they connected. Every update this cycle recommences, until last night. No clue if there was an update or something, but G-hub stopped working entirely, saying it was no longer found at the given path. I try to uninstall it for a fresh go, and even windows can't uninstall it for the same reason. I try to go to file location, nothing. I look to the internet, no one else is seemingly having this problem. I just redownload the installer and try that, says it's already installed. I delete every single logitech file I can find of any sort on my pc, excluding the installer, and it still says it's installed. I decide "I'll just delete the registry key, that'll fix it" and sure enough the installer stopped saying it was installed, but now shows the download page for maybe 1/5 of a second before saying it's done downloading, and then installs nothing. Hlep.

Hi all you smart people. I am not someone who is very tech smart when it comes to computers and I tried looking up multiple YouTube videos and articles to solve my problem but have no found a solution. So back in the day I installed Titanfall onto my computer and I haven't played it in over four years. I would like to uninstall the program from my computer; however, the software doesn't want to uninstall. I can click uninstall multiple times and it is still there. I have looked up YouTube videos and they all require you to install and uninstall ironically. Would anyone have a solution for me that is not throwing water onto my computer or throwing my computer in the trash like most people like to post on these forms in good humor. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, I have Windows 8 on my computer so I don't know if that makes a difference. Thank you in advance.

When I start up a game like ark I want to join a server. I am joining a server and at one moment I don't here sound anymore, I wait for about 30 seconds and there appeared a crash report in my screen. I closed ark, and looked into my geforce experience. At that moment I saw my drivers are not installed anymore. So i need to install geforce drivers again. And this problem repeats itself.

Hey guys, I'd like to uninstall Windows 10 from my SSD. Because I cannot boot my operating system from it. Is it enough to just right click and format it or how should I do it? (I want to install Wibdows again from start but on another system that doesn't allow me to install Wibdows from a USB Stick.) thank you in advance
