A share button could be especially useful in certain areas of the site. I know in a lot of places you can just copy the link to the thread, but it could be especially useful mainly in status updates where you can't always get a specific link to the status update.

Do people really like extra rounded corners? In UI as well as physicall design. It's like a strat of new mainstream aesthetic, copying iphones (eww). Atleast give users option to customize what they want, isn't it enough companies controlling some of our actions? Whyyyy, I personally hate rounded corners so much it makes me bang my head in a wall, even win 11 started it but those are nice. I mean rounded corners are super good but why everywhere, use them where they are suited or atleast give freedom. About physical design, there are no phones which have less rounded corners except Samsung note ultras and me smol budget brokey Peak of mobile physical designs (imo) : galaxy note 9, xperia xa1 Tldr : rage about rounded corners I would love to hear yalls thoughts

I think you are aware that YouTube is coming up with a new UI. The bad news is, this is coming to everybody and not everybody is liking the new UI including me. There are many things missing including the "Similar Videos" section. So, I made an extension that returns the old YouTube layout, which is only 9kb and within 35 lines of code. The extension only does this one thing and it does this well. The extension is open sourced and you can contribute there and submit your feedback too. I am willing to listen to your feedback and make changes based on your needs. As I am an Indie developer, I only made this for Chrome/MS Edge/any browser that is based on Chromium users. I am willing to make a Firefox version too if you want. CodeBase: GitHub Chrome Store: Return Standalone Youtube Video Page - Chrome Web Store Last but not least, I think that if you need 1000+ extensions to make a website usable, there will be a time when we have to look for alternatives.

Hey there, I just wanted to give a shout-out to the awesome dev team behind the LTTStore. You guys did an amazing job making the site look super slick and professional! As a frontend developer myself, I couldn't help but notice that there was a lot of unused white space on bigger screens. So, I decided to tweak some of the CSS code to make better use of that space. Before: after: Would like to get your feedback and maybe the team will notice this post and implement these changes Would love to see this implmented Here are the changes:

Hello, I've owned the XPS 15 9500 for about a year and a half at this point. Mine is equipped with the i7-10750h, dedicated 1650Ti and the 4k screen. This laptop is amazing, the battery life isn't bad, the keyboard and the trackpad are amazing, the speakers are very good, and the 4k screen is the best screen I have ever looked at. I decided to update to Windows 11 once I got the notification the update was available, and I have not seen many issues, apart from one that keeps bugging me: The 4k UI performance is absolutely horrible. I saw a similar thing with Windows 10 and HDR enabled: the Windows UI would seem sluggish, running at what I'm guessing is 30-45 FPS. Video playback wasn't better either, 1080p video would sustain 60 FPS, but with evident drops from time to time. 4k video, while seemingly supporting 60FPS, would not run at 60FPS (more like 40). I assumed this was an issue caused by Windows' handling HDR, so I just kept HDR off (it kills the battery anyway). Updating to Windows 11, the UI seems as if I had HDR enabled on Windows 10, except I don't even have HDR enabled. The "beautiful" new animations seem sluggish and delayed. Video playback is fine but watching Netflix with Dolby Vision clearly shows FPS drops during certain moments. Enabling HDR in Windows settings makes the problem worse. Disabling the transparency effects definitely helps, but even this feels slow compared to Windows 10 and my brother's Asus Zenbook 13 (2019). This issue has bugged me since the day I bought the laptop. I have tried everything that came to my mind: Windows settings, graphics driver settings, DFU reinstallation of graphics drivers, general driver updates (my system is up to date). I went as far as to undervolt the laptop to see if that would help. It did not (but it definitely helped the overall performance and battery life). I have posted this question on reddit and other forums (this is where I got the recommendation of DFU). Now I come here for advice. Is this how the laptop is supposed to perform? That is, is my integrated GPU not powerful enough to drive Windows UI elements at 3840x2400? I am a computer engineering student living in a dorm. This laptop is my main (and only) computer, and I have spent hours over the course of a year and a half trying to fix the outlined issue. Here is what I have discovered: (Most of these were stated above, but I'll repeat for clarity) 1. DFU helped, a lot. Then I got a Windows update notification for Intel - Display, and it made it worse again, so I DFUd again. This time, the windows update did not make it worse, but something keeps telling me that the first time I did it was better than what I have now (mind you, I did not spend a lot of time before doing the windows update). 2. Undervolting might have done *something*, but it might just be the system being snappier overall that makes me say that. 3. The Intel graphics command center (the new control panel they have) is the smoothest experience I have had on this device. Scrolling this forum does not feel as responsive as that application. The fact that driver updates make the issue better or worse makes me think that this is a driver issue. Has anyone else with the same laptop either experienced the same issue, or is aware of a fix? Thank you - an aspiring computer engineer

So, I'm trying to figure out how to FULLY disable ANY controls at the bottom of my brand new and shiny new old stock Galaxy Note 9. I disabled the navigation bar so the symbols are all gone just poking around in navigation but I've got this tiny little grey bar just jutting out a little bit into the bottom of the screen right in the center portion. It just so happens to cover the area where if I were to swipe up it would trigger the home button and divide the other two controls. How do I disable this visual que? Thanks for any help you choose to give, I know this is silly ;).

What is that called again? The technique to make the UI as bad as possible to discourage user to do something, like hiding a link between layers of link, I remember watching a youtube video about it years ago, but I can't seems to find it.

My OS updated last night and found some of my sound settings have changed, one thing I've immediately noticed is that when I'm adjusting my sound volume via my keyboard roller the UI no longer appears. Version 1909 Build 18363.836 anyone else has experienced this error and managed to solve it?

news link another source I know most of you guys outside Asia don't have a lot of Xiaomi or Realme products but even low end Samsung phones have ads in their ui. Still these are huge companies selling a lot of phones and what worries me is that they could so easily harvest the data to serve users personalized ads! I don't know if they already do it but just imagine instead of your online activities being tracked now manufacturers track our daily usage to serve us ads. How long until that happens? Realme (spawn of oppo-bbk electronics so vivo, one plus sister company) has now started the ads in ui thing but at least from news sources it seems you can disable them. samsung had also followed xiaomis model of showing ads in the ui. This is a really irritating direction these companies are headed in. At least in India many people dislike Xiaomi for their ads and they still sell a lot of phones! If this continues soon consumers wont have a choice of having ad free phones in the low end market. Now, realme also has offerings which compete in the value flagship category along with one plus and xiaomi which aren't exactly cheap so just how much must they earn through ads if they're ready to take all the damage to their brand and reputation from showing ads to consumers? Realme has already called shots on xiaomi for serving ads and now theyre going back on their words. Another aspect to consider is that a person has already paid for the hardware and software that was installed. Can companies now generate revenue after they have sold you the product through software updates like this? It is similar to what linus was talking about in a wan show about tesla cars increasing their speed through a paid software update but at least that has an additional benefit on top of what you have already paid for. I know it allows them to produce phones with extremely thin margins and compete but at what privacy cost to the consumer?

So, my PC is acting reeeeal strange lately. The latter half of words on everything is missing, for some reason. It does this in applications as well, such as steam, and I have no f*ckin' clue wth is going on here. Never experienced anything like it before. It's like shit is missing from my UI? If anyone got an Idea what my problem could be, then any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for an C# Ui that works on linux where you can drag and drop Ui elements like on Windows Forms

I recently bought a new keyboard which has media keys+volume dial. The volume dial works fine and so do the media keys when watching videos on Youtube. However the overlay is distracting as it's a big block with the picture preview and name/title. I'm just wondering if its possible to hide that part and only show the volume ui/overlay?I know you can disable Hardware Media Key Handling but I still want to use it, just hiding the text part.

Hi! I am almost done with building my tesla coil, the only thing that is left is a UI, but while coding i ran into a problem. I can't figure out how to identify songs and play them. I am using Arduino Mega 2560 with an LCD and an SD card module.Main code:int forward = 22;int back = 23;int Stop = 24;const int rs = 12, en = 11, d4 = 5, d5 = 4, d6 = 3, d7 = 2;#include <LiquidCrystal.h>#include "SD.h"#define SD_ChipSelectPin 53#include "TMRpcm.h"#include "SPI.h" // LCD RS pin to digital pin 12 // LCD Enable pin to digital pin 11 // LCD D4 pin to digital pin 5 // LCD D5 pin to digital pin 4 // LCD D6 pin to digital pin 3 // LCD D7 pin to digital pin 2 // LCD R/W pin to ground // LCD VSS pin to ground // LCD VCC pin to 5V // 10K resistor: // ends to +5V and ground // wiper to LCD VO pin (pin 3)//CS ---------------------->> 53//SCK ---------------------->> 13//MOSI -------------------->> 51//MISO--------------------->> 50//VCC --------------------->> +5v//GND--------------------->> Arduino's GroundLiquidCrystal lcd(rs, en, d4, d5, d6, d7);TMRpcm tmrpcm;void setup(){pinMode(forward, INPUT);pinMode(back, INPUT);pinMode(Stop, INPUT); lcd.begin(16, 2);tmrpcm.speakerPin=9;Serial.begin(9600);if(!SD.begin(SD_ChipSelectPin)){ Serial.println("SD fail"); return;}tmrpcm.setVolume(6);}void loop() { lcd.setCursor(0, 1); lcd.print("Now Playing:");}Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it.

youtube app Guys how can I fix this YouTube UI
Wing_Assault posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Guys lately after a YouTube update my playback UI changed. The new UI sucks I need the old one back. I can't find any options or settings to change it back. It's been very stressful to use the app right now. I did a couple more updates and still it doesnt change. So guys what should I do. I'll attack the UI image down below. Please give me a fix for this issue. -
The ui is total garbage on its own. Absolutely the most ugly OS I've ever seen, but the few solutions I have found try to break the OS alongside it. Why is it so hard to change this to this? I've tried ultraUX themepatcher, but every single fucking theme is the same ugly style for these buttons. The few themes that look even a little OK have to be payed for and don't look good.

I'm a old school C++/Python/Asm programer (started coding back in 86), and I want to write a custom web ui frontend for a python command line backend which handles a renderfarm VM management system. For all the web programmers out there, I have 2 questions: 1. what would you recommend as "best" to write responsive web UIs with dinamic stuff, like Trello/Weekan style drag-and-drop and popups, for example? For "best", I mean the "best visuals" VS "simple and fast to do"! The learning curve and visuals, I think, is the most important for me since right now since I need something that would give me a professional look, and doesn't take days to learn! (I have a lot of stuff to do already... lol...) I'm very used to the way PyQT works for UI's, so if there's a similar framework out there, or even simpler, that would be the best! 2. do you guys known of a simple and fast to write API/Framework for user authenticated (OAUTH) database setup? Basically, I would love to have something that could be easily tied to the UI so it would store the UI Data created by the user automatically. 8P I really hate to deal with SQL/Database queries, so ideally something that would show an OAUTH authentication dialog, and then would store whatever is done in the UI, so the next time the user logins in, the UI is retrieved on the same state, with the same data. Then for the backend, I just need to be able to use Python to easily retrieve the user list and the UI data from each user! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ That's it! Since I'm an old school guy (aka "old man" as my boy calls me! LOL), I'm not very used to the new generation frameworks and languages, so some context from you "kids" out there would be amazing!!! 8P I can reciprocate the help with any C++/Python/Asm/Qt/RSL/OSL/Maya C++ API/Linux/FUSE API/OpenGL-OpenGL ES API/Arnold,Vray,Renderman and other VFX API's/etc; questions you guys have!! LOL!! cheers... -H PS: I work with R&D for rendering in Visual Effects, by the way...

Hello, A few months ago, I came around a really cool looking and nicely designed gaming website. It was red colored (not IGN) and has a side menu, with big images for the articles headers. It must've launched recently as I searched for the top gaming websites and I didn't see it among them. I'd like to have another look at it, any help appreciated. Thanks and have a good day.

Now we're in 2018 and uxstyle doesn't even work anymore. I want the old windows 7 buttons for default things like the explorer. I don't really need anything else. This Not this!! It's probably impossible. I mean, screw people that want to change the UI of things.

So back when I was planning my first PC, I was actually originally considering a Gigabyte Aorus board for my build, but eventually went with an Asus Z370 board for the Asus brand loyalty, Asus logo boot screen, and obviously, the BIOS familiarity. Is there any particular motherboard brand that does BIOS UIs better than the others such as easier navigation?

I do use a plethora of applications on my desktop and mobile, particularly i do spend quite some time on forums and chat apps on my desktop. Of course as the name suggests, i use a dark theme everywhere on my desktop. My mobile is still spared as it is used in bright daylight, but once it gets dark it hurts my eyes to use a light theme in the dark. Am I the only one addicted to dark themes or is this basically everyone else?

What I'm looking for is a Monitor under $1000 AUD, with good colour for Photoshop and 3D modeling (Revit) for productive, occasionally gaming at 144hz and to match my existing monitor aesthetics. Cheers.
