Edit: Never mind. I thought when it said "Uplay account has been renamed" I thought it refers to my username being changed. Just a misunderstanding. I got quite worked up about it when I got this message; thinking I was hacked. A friend, whom I shared this to as well, pointed out the misunderstanding. From: news@news.ubisoft.com Subject Title: Uplay Account becomes Ubisoft account I am not sure why and how I got this message, but now I'm paranoid. Not sure if I was hacked or this just a mistake to inform people about the free giveaway of Blood Dragon or something about Uplay accounts turning into Ubisoft accounts. Also, I already added up some security into my account, such as having the "2-Step Verification" enabled, since my Origin account got hacked sometime ago, which I was able to successfully recover without Origin Support. As for looking into my account's details, nothing seems to be altered.

TLDR; Finished GRW on laptop over summer. Now trying to play on Desktop PC and am forced to start a new game because I can't sync cloud saves. Hopefully someone has had the same troubles as me and can help. Over the summer, I was playing Ghost Recon Wildlands (henceforth known as GRW) on my laptop in our camper (it has AC so I can stay frosty lol). I finally 100% the campaign. Even had played a bit of the DLC. Enter Fall. Back in the house with my wonderful desktop. Go to play GRW. New game. No option to continue. Try to sync cloud saves and it didn't work. Tried turning off cloud save, exiting Uplay, opening Uplay and re-enabling cloud save to no avail. Messaged Ubisoft support and they said that when starting from a new device, you have to start a new game. It's the only option. Someone please tell me this isn't true so I don't have to do all those missions over again please. TIA

When it comes to open world games such as Assassin's Creed: Origins, some players would actually take their time to explore their surroundings. But what's the point of doing so when you got to watch your own back, as enemies are all over the place. Enter Discovery Tour mode for Assassin's Creed: Origins. This is where Ubisoft turns the game, into a actual museum like experience, where the player can explore and learn about their surroundings, in a educational type of way, and get to read facts, done by actual historians and Egyptologists. The mode offers a combat free environment, where players can take their time, and gain as much knowledge as much possible, by going back in time, through the world of gaming. Discovery Tour mode will be a free DLC next year, for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, following the launch of the game this October. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/09/discovery-tour-lets-you-explore-assassins-creed-origins-combat-free/

so my friend has been playing The Crew for a while and he has a long progress in the game compared to me. he has completed the story and he has also completed most challenges and is at level 59. recently i started playing the game and i am in level 14 now. i think i have finished the story by 25% and done some challenges as well. so today both of us tried to play together today for the very first time. he is in my friend list in Uplay and when i tried to invite him to my crew in the game he is unable to get in.when he accepts the invitation it gives the error "unable to join the crew".he sees a red cross in my profile picture as well. same thing happens when he invites me. and i can see him in the map sometimes but when i go to his position his car is not visible to me. when i go towards other online players they appear nicely. is this some problem from the ubisoft side or is it some problem like he is in a higher level than i am in so i cant join him. but he tried to go and put a public event invitation to see if can play together like that, however i did not get the invite but some other random players were able to see it and they joined after a couple of minutes and out of those players one guy was level 5 so i think player level doesnt matter for inviting to a crew. what is going on? is there any fix to this problem?

So I bought far cry 4 gold edition a little more than 2 years ago, but have never been able to play it past the prologue. I go through the support multiple times with the same result... them being completely useless and thinking my computer is 100% at fault. The problem I run into is that the game will allow me to play through the prologue but as the screen fades black to transition to the next level it just stay on the black screen, even when left for hours it doesnt change. Now Ubisoft support seems to think that my PC is at fault. When ive tried on over 5 different PCs, each meeting the requirements. When going through all my windows error files none are related to far cry 4 when they insist that a driver incident that I had 3 days ago is the problem with the game when I installed it today. They also like to blame that I run with Integrated and Dedicated GPU at the same time, (I-GPU are for secondary monitors while dedicated is for my main monitor and the one i game on). Any ideas? What do you think of the new AC Origins? Me personally i don't like the last 2 games, i don't know about Origins though. I might give it a shot. But here are the things that could potentially break the game, at least for a long time lover like me: 1. Enemies level Its an Assassins's game, enemies that have level makes no sense. Like someone will be able to take a knife to throat but doesn't die or assassinated from above but did not die instantly. 2. Weapon level Someone proudly said that we weren't be able to assassin someone with a low level hidden blade in 1 hit, which again makes no sense 3. Skill Tree From what I'm getting, we will have to focus on one skill to improve. So for example if your stealth skill isn't good enough you weren't be able to perform a perfect stealth (?) Which makes absolute no sense at all. And again, we won't be able to kill enemies stealthily if the hidden blade isn't good enough in the first place. I know this is nitpicking, but AC used to be a realistic stealth/adventure open world game. Now it's nowhere even near "Realistic" with those stupid levelling system, it seems like they're changing the game mechanic just for the sake of change instead of originality. The thing that makes people love AC is almost gone now.... Its just some of my thoughts..... what do you guys think? Let me know down below

so i want to play the crew and the only monitor i have supports only 1024x1280 at 75Hz max. when i open the crew i hear all the background sounds but i dont get any video. i get a error message from monitor saying the game require 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz . is there any way to force open the game in the resolution of my monitor? i have even played newer games like watchdogs 2 and assassins creed syndicate where both games loaded nicely to the main menu with video where i could adjust the settings but the crew loads up with no video

initially reported by NeoGAF and later confirmed by GameSpot this goes against what UbiSoft said previously about the game, even the STEAM page changed: http://store.steampowered.com/app/304390/ original -> keep doing retarded shit Ubi, Vivendi can't wait to conquer your arses --- For Honor is an upcoming online action hack and slash video game in development by Ubisoft Montreal and set to be published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was announced at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game features a hand-to-hand combat system described as "The Art of Battle" by the developers and allows players to play the roles of historical soldiers such as medieval knights, samurai, and vikings within a Medieval fantasy setting. - Wiki

The thing that confuse me is, i typed down the code perfectly with no flaws, set my date of birth, press that im not a robot thing, but this is what happened as you can see on the picture. i tried to do this many times but resulted the same damn thing. If you know what or how to solve this, please answer. i appreciated any answer. Thank you Have a nice day

Hello and have a nice day everyone ! I have been wondering about 1 question these days for playing Far Cry 5 in Coop mode. The question is that is it possible to play in Coop mode when i purchase the game from Ubi-store, have the game installed on my own PC, then using the same Uplay account to log in, download and install the game on another PC (my brother computer as in my case). After that, use a different Uplay account that has not purchased the game yet to log in and play in Coop mode ? If not, are there any other ways ? I tend to do that for me and my brother to play at home. Thanks in advance !

I have a serious issue with The Division 2 and I'm helpless. I've been playing for a few hours past two days with no issues at all on my high refresh rate monitor. I didn't do anything, didn't even restart the PC and suddenly the next launch of the game is locked at 60fps no matter what I do. Turning on and then off again of v-sync, frame limiter, refresh rate itself etc. didn't work. The only thing that works is playing in windowed mode. My specs are 8700k with 1080ti and 16GB of 3200MHz RAM. My monitor is 1440p 165Hz. It's driving me insane and makes the game borderline unplayable for me (first world problems I know). I even tried the ingame benchmark and when fullscreen it's locked to 60 with GPU utilization around 60%, when I press alt+enter to exit fullscreen to windowed it suddenly spikes up to like 100 fps and usage to full load. I am completely clueless how to make the god damned game run at my native refresh rate.

I just upgraded to a quad core I5 no HT CPU just to play R6 since they cut support on dual core CPUs. Now I still get freeze and crash to desktop right on round start when map/characters are loaded. I started big topics on Ubisoft forums and Steam forums and had this everywhere on media since I was on dual core. They didn't give any info or detail about what happened or what did they broke it's a crazy CPU support list related issue and no one on the big gaming news sites wrote a review about this: 20% of players can't access R6 anymore after Burnt horizon patch. They just told us to upgrade from 2 cores to 2 cores with HT or 4 cores as their system requirements but now I still have this problem unsolved and I'm above the system requirements. Help

So I noticed that my Uplay download speeds were consistently at 10mbps. They never go above or below that speed, never. This leads me to believe the my internet of 150mbps can support more download speed, but it simply won't. I've run a few test with downloading from different services and they all report the same exact download speeds. The only app that isn't affected is the Microsoft store. That being said, I'm lead to believe this has to do with permissions. I tried running as an admin, but it didn't work. Help pls! I just want to download siege quickly!

recently i have noticed that games are not being optimized properly and devs are not putting an effort to do so, its like they just dont care, they want to sell and get money and maybe concentrate on consoles only. i have i7 4790, Vega 64, 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz and 2560x1080 monitor 21:9 @80hz. I run graphically amazing and intensive games no issues at screen refresh rate with some normal FPS dips at max settings, like shadow of the tomb raider, shadow of war, the witcher 3, Wolfenstein, BO4, BF1, the division... on the other hand you find games with the same graphics as above games and sometimes even less amazing but runs bad with many frame spikes, like far cry 5, assassin's Creed Odyessey, watch dogs 2, sudden strike 4, blitzkrieg 3, total war Warhammer 2, BF5, wildlands amd many other games, where CPU and GPU are sitting almost @50% -70% usage. i mean why are devs killing PC gaming? why cant a powerful PC run a game smoothly but a 300-500 dollars consoles can with decent graphics and smooth gaming? why DX12 and vulkan still not widely supported? although they game good boost when gaming. Recently PC gaming are being published but not polished, look at just cause 4, fallout 76, BF5...etc , they just dont care about PC community anymore, i know games are being pirated but dont blame the remaining majority. devs are just producing games to maximize their proft, ubisoft 2 AC games in 2 years! black ops 4 is a remaster from previous games, just cause 4 is bad.... many of pc gaming community are thinking of buying PS5 when available and abandon PC. atleast i dont have to worry about my 2000K rig running the game...

UPDATE: They now included a build recommendation as part of a news article/post still related to this post but it isn't found in the same ribbon tab. Illustration below. So it seems like Ubisofts own game launcher now has a "How to build a PC" ribbon tab and it's been there since the 3rd of November 2018... Source: UPLAY itself I for one did not notice it, maybe because I rarely use UPLAY to launch my games. So yay! Ubisoft. The video itself wasn't made by Ubisoft (thank God), it was uploaded by a channel on Youtube called NGON. I think the aim of this was to educate dudes new to PC building or want to try it out (duh). Better yet I think it aims to educate people about buying pre-built and/or trash PCs that are total rip-offs - basically, so people can avoid this - I'm not sure if the "How to build a PC" in the ribbon deserves to be there though... I'm just saying no one would really come back to check it out. Maybe it should be within the 'Games' section like a green button there or something. Comments: Good - It was pretty nice. The dude tried to explain carefully each essential component in a PC and what you need to consider. Slightly meh - He didn't take into account one of the most important things like "set a budget first" - this is gonna bite your ass if you neglect it totally. Technically speaking price doesn't really come into "how to build" but the video itself explains how to pick parts sooo... Low-key stuff - If you watch the video closely, the guy chose a Ryzen CPU and some Sapphire Nitro GPU. Hmm... Too bad there isn't a ribbon tab on the launcher called "How to fix buggy/broken games" EDIT: I don't know why Ubisoft didn't link to their own forums though - https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1444233-Building-a-gaming-PC-–-Part-1-Getting-Started EDIT 2: You can watch the video here - UPDATE CONTINUED: Below are UBISOFT's and NGON's PC build recommendation split into categories - ENTRY, MID-RANGE, ULTRA, and ENTHUSIAST - Needless to say there is obviously a huge pricing difference between AMD and intel CPUs as both of intel's motherboard and processors are very expensive compared to AMD's own offerings. Other nitpicks - SSDs are still expensive and only offers performance boost to loading times. Generally, I'd say just put all essential programs in the SSD (500GB is more than enough) and other games in an HDD (2TB is pretty standard) to save up money and space. The 2280 form factor for M.2 drives listed here still depends on the motherboard, no point getting one if your motherboard doesn't even have the slot. Motherboard form factors (in this case mATX & ATX) are generally irrelevant to the performance and sometimes even pricing. Just say the chipset. RAM speed should be like 2800MHz and up or something. What if the guy found a cheaper 3866MHz+ kit. For "Enthusiast" I would still consider the GTX 1070 as a good base for 1440p... to some degree an RX 580 8GB would still do an adequate job. Mid-Range - there's nothing wrong with an RX 570 for 1080p gaming, so perhaps put RX 570 or GTX 1060 3/5/6GB instead? Also maybe put some pricing range, like you would get the "Entry" level system for say $400.
