Greetings, I recently have purchased a Steelseries stratos+ controler due to it having USB c for charging. I wanted to use it with my PC by utilizing a Bluetooth dongle. However while waiting for the delivery I found out that it doesn't support Wireless connection with Windows. Is there any walk-around to be able to use it wirelessly with Windows?

So I have been having this issue for the past few months. It's a new system not even a year. The problem: My system randomly shutdown either while playing games, doing some editing work or just sitting idle watching YouTube. It's not only random shutdown, sometimes it's just random reboot. Initially it happened (random reboot or shutdown) only if I did any work which required my GPU like gaming or editing but then it suddenly started working absolutely fine without fixing anything for a week or so. Then the problem surfaced again without wany warning. Things I have done to fix this issue: 1) I have already replaced the motherboard once as the whole system is still under warranty. 2) I have already replaced the CPU. 3) I bought UPS as the place I'm living in witnesses extremely amount of power cuts. I have also noticed whenever there's a random shut down or reboot the Ez Debug DRAM LED on my motherboard stays on. This happens in certain occasions only. On the other hand this LED staying on doesn't happen everytime just sometimes. Also when my system shuts down my keyboard lights are still on indicating keyboard is getting detected but my mouse is not. The whole system is running, the fans are working fine but the display goes. Even my problem is inconsistent. Sometimes it's just a shut down, sometimes it's a reboot, sometimes the display goes away but the system is running, sometimes the DRAM LED is on and sometimes it's not (indicating there's nothing wrong with the RAM). Please I really need some help. I know I might have to replace certain parts but whici one ti be exact. The PSU, RAM or the GPU. For the past 2-3 months I've had an issue where my CPU will randomly drop to 0.4 GHz even though it's nowhere near overheating and is on full battery. I've tried and tried again to fix the issue but cannot find any solutions. Laptop Specs: Model Name: Lenovo Ideapd Gaming 3 15ACH6 - Type 82K2 AMD Ryzen 5600H 16 GB RAM @ 3200Mhz Nvidia Geforce 1650 Max Q Normally: In Games: The max CPU temp that Lenovo has set is 80 degrees. The issue only seems to happening in games, I have no idea why. I've seen intel users have the exact same problems and solutions for those included ThrottleStop which isn't available for AMD CPUs. I've tried resetting Windows, installing Windows from a fresh ISO, updating my BIOS, reinstalling my graphics drivers and nothing has worked.

My PC is running a GTX660, PCIe2.0 X16, and 8 GB of RAM. I also don't know what CPU it is running, but I can probably check somehow. Does anyone know what I can run or if it bottlenecks?

Brand new PC is having black screen crashes in Destiny 2. Long story short, I just built a brand new computer last week (specs below). On first boot, I wanted to test my most-played game, Destiny 2, and was super happy to see it maxing out with 144fps and FreeSync-type smoothness. However, over the past week, Destiny has been crashing randomly, sometimes even as I first load into an area. I have done just about every Reddit/YouTube troubleshoot in the book, still to no avail. My PC seems to run fine in everything else, it's just Destiny that has constant issues. I'll summarize the list of issues below, including specs, and the common error code when my system crashes. Issue: Destiny 2 black screen after playing for anywhere between 1-20 minutes, booted back to windows home screen, presented with error code "Broccoli" (GPU issue in-game), restart required to open Destiny again. In game before crashes is very stuttery, lots of screen tearing. PC is still running after crash, no MB debug lights come on, and I'm able to use most desktop apps post-crash as well. Things I've noticed: No GPU or CPU temperature peaking during crashes, super high scores with no crashing 3DMark or Heaven, no issues in other games, VRAM MHz sits around 1000 even when idle, game sits around 75-85% GPU utilization in intensive areas. Tweaks to my system I've made: XMP enabled on RAM, CPU undervolted to max 85W, tested GPU clock speed to max at 3000MHz, undervolted to 1050mV, power limit increase to 15% (all stable but not in Destiny). Fixes I've tried that haven't worked: 1. Resolution tweaks with CRU to reduce idle VRAM MHz. 2. Disable and fully delete Xbox game bar. 3. Reset GPU overclock to out-of-box tuning. 4. DDU graphics drivers. 5. Went back to old drivers that were "more stable" for the 7x00 series of AMD cards. 6. Windows memory test (just to make sure it wasn't the RAM). 7. Set power plan to high performance, also giving Destiny 2 high priority graphics settings. 8. Updated chipsets and BIOS. 9. Verified game files via Steam. 10. Disabled full screen optimization (this has helped with overall smoothness). Error Code: Display driver amduw23g stopped responding and has successfully recovered. This is the error code I have been receiving every crash. I'm not 100% sure this is the culprit, but there are no other warning codes around the crashing times. People on reddit whop receive this code seem to have similar issues to my own. I have linked a pic of this error code below. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit Log: Few hours after posting this, I'm having worse stutters in game. I ran a strike with no crashes, and I had GPU-Z handy on my second monitor. GPU-Z shows that when these stutters happen, the following drop to zero or near zero: GPU clock, GPU load, Board Power Draw, and GPU voltage. These stutters are like skipping frames, imagine freezing for half a second before the game goes right back to normal. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 7700x GPU: AMD Radeon 7800xt RAM: G.skill 6000Mhz CL32 MB: MSI B650-p Wifi PSU: Thermaltake GF1 850W (2024) Case: Corsair 3000D Monitor: Dell S2716DG (GSync, no FreeSync) Thank you to everyone who responds with help. I'm hoping I'm able to figure this out soon.

My pc has been crashing while gaming and i havent found anything after many stress tests and driver reinstalls that points to a common issue except for this event viewer error -------------------------------------- A fatal hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 5 --------------------------------------- I have no idea what this means or what to do. The Processor APIC ID isnt always 5, sometimes its 0 or 6 but all the rest of the error is consistent. the more demanding the game, the more likely this will occur. NO BSOD, just maybe a few seconds of a green frozen screen or just black screen then instant restart. the audio also glitches while the crash is happening sometimes. WHat does this mean? How can I resolve this? What should I try first? Specs: Radeon RX 5700, Ryzen 7 5800x, 16gb ram ddr4 3600mhz, rog strix x-570-e gaming motherboard, EVGA supernova 650w G3. What ive tried: DDU the video driver countless times and using old and latest amd drivers, testing all components under max load in stress tests, clearing shader cache and cpu cache, memtests and disk checks multiple times, reseating gpu and switching ram dimm slots. None of these have stopped the crashes from happening.

Hello, so i have a sapphire pulse rx580 8gb for a few years now and ever since i got it ive been noticing this weird "moving pixels" and very horrible aa in every single game. Its not game braking and i usually dont notice it much but ive been wondering if anyone else has seen this before and knows how to fix it. Ive literally tried everything, different settings on the amd software, ive reinstalled windows multiple times since ive got it, upgraded my bios and so on. The one thing that seems to be making a difference is if i use virtual super resolution but that isnt really a choice since my pc isnt that good. Here is a video in gw2 to demonstrate what i mean by "moving pixels" but keep in mind in other games this effect is much much more amplified. Notice where my mouse is pointing. Also the game graphics settings are at max with the highest aa setting for gw2 being SMAA high. My specs: Ryzen 5 5500 (had the same problem with ryzen 3 2200g) AMD sapphire pulse rx580 8gb asrock 350ab pro4 with bios 7.0 so that it can support Cezanne (had the same problem before upgrading the cpu) dual channel 16gb ram with xmp at 3200mhz Any ideas or advice are welcome, thanks in advance. EDIT: I have also uninstalled/reinstalled/updated my drivers many times and are currrently on version 24.1.1 . Guild Wars 2_clip_1_clip_1.mp4

Hi all, I recently switched from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. It may be important to note that I initially upgraded from a 3600 & RTX 3070 to a 5800X3D and 7900 XT, and was running a stress test with Prime95 & Furmark at once on a 750W PSU. The computer immediately shut down, so I upgraded to a 1000W PSU and don't have this issue anymore. They both run fine at the same time (could this have damaged by CPU/motherboard causing this issue?). I was idling fine on the 3600 around 35 C, but this 5800 idles around 65-70 C. I've asked around on Reddit and other forums and everyone seems to agree that these temps are way too high. From what other people post, I should be seeing around 30 to 40 C idling (when I say "idle", I mean with Discord, Steam, and HWiNFO open at once). I've tried the following: Disabled A-XMP in my BIOS (made no difference, so I turned it back on) Updated my BIOS Reset CMOS Swapped out the kryosheet I re-used from my 3600 for a new one Changing the cooler from a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 to a DeepCool Assassin IV Changing from a kryosheet to thermal paste Nothing I've done has changed the temps and I'm completely lost at this point. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 32 GB (4x8 GB) DDR4 3200 RAM (3200 w/ A-XMP on) (if the brand matters it's TEAM Group TFORCE) MSI B450 Tomahawk (latest BIOS revision as of this post, not Tomahawk MAX) AMD 7900 XT Corsair RM1000E 1000W PSU I'm using HWiNFO to read my temps, and reading the Tctl/Tdie temp. Screenshot If anyone can point me in the right direction here as to what I'm doing wrong, I would GREATLY appreciate it. The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Windows, but I'm not sure how/why that would help.

Hello, throwing a Hail Mary to see if anyone has more troubleshooting advice for a specific problem with my system. I've been having issues with what i think is driver related, but i'm super unsure. I've got a Samsung G9 OLED(FreeSync model) that i get somewhat frequent blackscreens with. The application that causes it varies, but it happens primarily while gaming. The screen will go totally black with the system still running & most of the times i have to do a hard reset on my PC with the powerbutton, go into device manager, disable/enable the driver from my graphics card a few times, then it sometimes will bring back the display. I've seen around other forums with people who have the same issue, but never a full resolution or one that has worked with me so far. _______________________________ System :: Ryzen AM5 7950x MSI X670E Carbon Wi-Fi w/ Trident Z Neo 64Gb DDR5 6000Mhz (4x16) PowerColor 7900XTX Red Devil Limited Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED 49" (G95SC) ________________________________ I've tried to Driver uninstall with DDU Update drivers via Andrenalin Graphic driver reload with Win-CTRL-B Disabling the generic windows driver so that it doesn't override the graphics card(solution found on other forums) Full OS reinstall (only worked for certain amount of time) Currently i uninstalled the graphics card drivers to reinstall through AMD Software, but now it has a popup with , "Windows update may have automatically replaced your AMD graphic driver. Hence the version of AMD software you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver" So the troubleshooting is basically compounding at this point because the version i re-installed is the same version i originally had & was "working". Ironically when i try to force the driver issue today, it's perfectly fine when i'm trying to dig through Event Viewer Logs. Any ideas is appreciated. I just want to make sure it's a graphics card issue or a motherboard issue before i start any RMA process. -Hawk

troubleshooting Cpu Temps lower with lower AIO Pump %
GreenTheTurtle posted a topic in Troubleshooting
I switched to a new case, and my 7800X3D temps would spike like 12 degrees C just by scrolling on the youtube home page. I have an EK AIO Cr-360 D Lux RGB. I unscrewed the pump and screwed it back in just incase it wasn't making full contact. When I held the pump it was warm, and I thought that was weird so I went into my bios and changed the Pump speed to 80% instead of constant 100%. The temps stopped spiking and went back to normal. Does anyone know what causes this? My AIO pump was running at 100% constantly in my old case and I never had any issues. -
I've been using my pc for 6 years now and haven't upgraded much. I would have random hard freezes when gaming and I would have to shut my pc down only by using the power button. hello, i am trying to flash my motherboard with the latest bios version using gigabyte q-flash. i installed every component of the pc, but the dram debug light was on. i tried every solution to that and found that a possible solution was to flash the bios. so i try to flash the bios, after clearing cmos using the jumpers and removing the battery. i also removed all components and re plugged motherboard and cpu power. after pressing the q-flash button, the cpu debug light turns on for around 1 second and then turns off. the motherboard manual says that a light will flash and should take around 6 minutes to flash. please help, thank you

A couple of days ago my Steam Deck and an Anker battery just broke. For the Steam Deck there was no warning and no action which took place beforehand that could be an obvious cause of the issue. I just one day unplugged the device from the official Steam Deck charger and it did not turn on. The charging indicator light does not do anything either. When I say the Deck broke it BROKE. Just to clarify, there were no signs of life from the console. A little after I noticed a similar story for the Anker battery. I tried to charge my phone with it but it just would not charge. Then, I noticed the batteries indicator lights would not do anything. Just like the Steam Deck, the battery also showed absolutely zero signs of life. So I began considering what may have caused the issue. Currently I have no solid conclusion, but it is possible that the Steam Deck Charger could be the cause as that is the primary charger I use for both devices. Except possibly not, as I use the same charger for my phone and my phone functions (for the most part). So I am at a loss here, my Steam Deck ran out of warranty so warranty is not an option. As for the Anker battery I have yet to see.

Budget (including currency): I'll save up until I can buy the recommendation. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly competitive games, and working on React Other details My current computer specs: My computer cannot hit 180fps consistently on both Valorant (average 160fps on any settings) and CS2 (average 102fps on Medium and High, 1280x1024). Also, Euro Truck Simulator 2 gets 100fps on High settings. Should I try doing a fresh install to remove unnecessary apps? I upgraded my HDD to an M.2 SSD and I cloned the drive.

I have very little experience in building PC’s. I installed a Gigabyte 4080 Super I got from Newegg today, with the help of a LTT Youtube Short and 2 friends via facetime. Upon powering up my PC, the GPU wasn’t detected in the System Information, Device Manager, or BIOS. I downloaded the latest Nvidia Driver with support for the 4080 Super, and when I ran the Installation I was met with an error that said I can’t install this driver because there is no nvidia hardware detected. I read a bunch of reddit threads and discovered DDU so I downloaded it and ran it according to the instructions (disconnecting GPU, running it while connected to motherboard, select GPU and NVIDIA, after shut down I connected the GPU but it still didn’t solve the problem. I read another thread here about Gigabyte specifically having an issue with their NVIDIA 12VHPWR adapter, and to try it with 1/3 of the cables disconnected, but to no avail as well. If anyone can help, I would be personally and eternally indebted lol If any other info is needed, please let me know. After reading the post instructions, I’m flashing my BIOS to the latest version now but I don’t know if that could be the cause of all this. UPDATE: I followed the recommendations and tried re-seating it without the Network Adaptor and it worked. Although I should mention I think it was not properly seated the first time. I’m going to re-install the Network Adaptor later tonight after work and see if it works still. Thanks for the help guys!

Hello users of the LTT forum, after a lot of reseating and troubleshooting I finally decided to try another PSU since my vega wasn't giving me a display signal. I replaced my immaculate Straight Power 10 600 Watt Gold Efficiency PSU, which has been powering a much more power hungry GPU for about a year now, with a 450W System power 7. And this hail mary worked for some reason. I'm sort of confused and also pissed since I wasted so much time on troubleshooting and cannot fathom why the vega only accepts my crappy 10 year old PSU. I'm also not entirely sure whether I can now be certain that the GPU is fine since I've been planning to sell it if I got it to work. Any input is appreciated, the card has been running Doom Eternal/Forza Horizon in 4k without issues for multiple hours now. Pictured below: the GPU in question and the AMD Software while Doom is running. Greetings from Germany, Kevin

My grandfathers PC has been working just fine with this monitor for months. One day it flickers, and finally goes to simply stating “no hdmi input”. Monitor works just fine with other computers, even with the same cable. The computer works brilliantly with other monitors, including my personal Dell. For some reason his computer and his monitor simply refused to talk to each other. So finally we decide screw it, let’s buy him a new one. A Dell S2721HN. Same problem. Scans for signal, then says no hdmi signal from device. I’ve done driver updates and reset the PC’s Bios, all the windows updates, swapped cables, ports, the whole 9 yards. Still no dice. Short of buying him a new computer, what might I be able to do to get this thing working?

Hello, I face a problem when i use my atx corsair psu in oem dell optiplex 390 motherboard, i plugged the 24 atx connector and the 4 pin for cpu ( actually i have 8 pins but i split it in two) the light orange show up but when i turn on pc, there's no signs of anything, cpu fans doesn't turn at all, i tried many times but no result, however when i use an old matx hp psu 300w it work fine, pc turns on, so you will said that the problem is from psu but it isn't, i try this corsair with other pc and it works fine, so that's true there are psu which are no compatible with some motherboard?!

Hi, Sorry if my topic was a duplicate topic or in incorrect topic but right now I'm clueless what should I do without spending money for no reason. My problem is that in my previous PC (Which was a 9900K 32GB 3200MTs z390 with an RTX3080) had no problem playing games except the cpu started to show its age. I upgraded my pc to 14900KF, 32GB 7600MTs Z790 build but with the same RTX3080 10GB GPU because I thought it will be still great. Now the problems have been skyrocketed. I'm getting "Out of video memory" error like there's no tomorrow, even from some games like Hogwarts Legacy which had absolutely no problem running. Now I can't even start the game without having the error message. What the hell? Is 10GB that seriously not enough? Does my OS SSD affect something like it's not PCI-E Gen4 but Gen3? Where would my bottleneck laying down? I'm not planning to upgrade my GPU but I'm getting seriously desperate because it will also affect my capability of streaming or just simply having fun playing games in my new expensive config. Thank you very much in advance!

So I did a modest upgrade to my rig, going from a R5 3600 to a 5800X3D. And a few other things: Aside from the CPU change: 1. replaced the built in wireless of the motherboard to BE200 2. replaced 2 secondary SSDs (not OS drives, and cloned with clonzilla. After cloning the two drives, I verified the drives using WinMerge on a laptop. 3 the motherboard (with only the CPU and SSDs installed) and many of the components (GPU),went on a plane ride also getting a new case. So after everything I aseemebed the PC, expecting have to reset fTPM and maybe even Bios settings butnot much... But oh nos, Windows refused to boot (system posted after a second to try, I reseated the ram before noticing I didn't plug the monitor all the way in. *(I shut down the PC the first time using the power button, just one press, matter if fact I haven't hold the power button on have the need to) Windows 11 loads to have that week but it spins and gets stuck oh so often then poof, system reset (fans ramps up like may motherboards when turning on a PC) after a few failed tries, the system seems tried "Automatic repair" but I hat goes no where, a ring often gets stuck then reset. Interestingly, I do have a Windows 11 installation drive, but that behaved the same as the system... (Have the windows logo come up, a few spins and get stuck, rotated a bit more before reset. I also tried to clear CMOS (twice) Use default settings. Etc etc... Bios is latest for my motherboard (X570 Aorus Elite Wifi). One of the first things I have done. ... But I was able to boot into Ubuntu, all drives discovered...(a flashdrive, not installed version) So what shall I do now? I very much don't want to just wipe the drive with Ubentu and try a fresh install (didn't back up my chrome tabs... I would have if I know I need to fresh install...)

I tried to turn on Alan Wake 2 but it tried to eat more vram (checked in the event viewer) than I have and because of that I recieved this message. I tried to run it the second time and after this one half of my screen went black. I restarted my pe and it seems to be working normally. I even played the above mentioned AW2 for 2+ hours, cyberpunk for 1hr and CS2 for some time and there was no glitches or anything. My question is: is this normal for such a glitch to happen when exceeding gpus vram or is it an early sign of it going bad? I have 4060ti with 8gb memory. Newest drivers, no oc, everything is set to efault. Btw. The start menu showed up on the black side of the screen.

Hi everyone! I'm having issues with my motherboard and I think I'm at my limit as to what to do next so I thought I'd try seeing if anyone with more expertise than me could help. I decided to build a PC for my girlfriend during Christmas which lead me to buying an already pre-built one second-hand from a guy that refurbishes PC's. I was trying to upgrade to a Ryzen platform from my FX-8350 and the guy was offering a Ryzen 3 1300X slotted into a A320M PRO-VD/S motherboard. Since he was offering the build for pretty cheap I impulse bought it since the components overall were better than what I currently had. I tested the rig for a couple of days and it seemed to have no issues. I swapped my graphics card and power supply from my old rig alongside my SSD that had my Windows partition installed. I booted up to an error message that said that it couldn't find a boot drive (I later realized that somehow during the swap my SSD just kinda died). This lead me to do a pretty stupid thing and I restored my BIOS to it's defaults in the BIOS settings. Here's the main issue. After restoring the BIOS to the default settings the computer wouldn't post. The 1300X needs a BIOS update in order for the motherboard to be recognized. I assume that this is where the problem lies but I can't access the BIOS settings to update it so I'm just looking for potential solutions or just confirmation that the motherboard is bricked. I've been trying to diagnose the problem on my own through just googling it but I think I hit a brick(ed) wall in terms of solutions. The state of the computer now is that the fans turn on but there's no post. The CPU light on the EZ-Diag is blinking (but since the manual for the board just says that that indicates that there's "an issue with the CPU or it's not recognized" it doesn't really help). I bought an Athlon X4 970 after I've read on the manufacturer site that it supports the earliest motherboard version but after popping it in the CPU light on the EZ-Diag is constantly lit as opposed to blinking with the 1300X and it still doesn't post. I've tried taking the CMOS battery out for the night and retrying the two CPU's but it didn't change anything. I've tried jumping the JBAT\_1 pins since the manual said it would restore it to it's default state but that didn't change anything either. Beneath the JBAT\_1 pins is what I assume a BIOS version number - MS-7A36 Ver. 1.1 but looking at the manufacturer's site, every the last version number that is supported by some CPU's is 7A36v20 (which is why I tried buying the Athlon in the first place and that didn't work). I can't figure out which CPU I'd need to get in order to post with the default settings if that's the problem in the first place. The specs for the build are CPU: Ryzen 3 1300X (+stock AMD wraith cooler) GPU: RX 570 4GB PSU: EVOLVEO FX 550W RAM: 2x4GB Patriot Viper Elite DDR4 Motherboard: A320M PRO-VD/S with BIOS version 7A36 Thanks to everyone for the feedback.
