Hey everyone! I ran into a problem when connecting my two monitors over different GPUs in my build. I need to do this because my USB booted linux based system does not work/recognize my dedicated GPU. So I need to switch the DVI cable everytime I want to start my normal windows based machine or switch to the linux one. Setup: I have two samsung monitors with DVI, HDMI and Displayports. I have one monitor connected with the hdmi and one with DVI for windows mode. I switch the dvi from the dedicated one to the integrated one when I want to use linux and leave the other monitor black. I also have to switch every time in the BIOS from use of IGP to DGP manually after switching the cables. It supports multimonitor setup with the use of the integrated GPU. Dedicated: GTX 1060 Motherboard: MSI Gaming 3 CPU: i5 4690 (i think) The goal is now to have a hardware or software setup that allows me to have minimal effort when switching to the linux system. Thank you for the help. I didnt find anything usefull because noone needs two monitor from different gpus if the one good one already does it. I just need it for the resolution of my linux. Which is Tails and Ubuntu btw. so a solution within linux doesnt help me.

Hi, I am in the market for buying some monitors for a triple monitor setup. Ideally, I would like 144hz monitors at 1080p all around, and I found 2 good panels on massdrop, it's just that one is curved and the other is flat. Therefore, should I go with 3 flat panels or 3 curved panels? I have desk space, so it's fine. Monitors in question: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/zowie-27-144hz-xl2720-recertified-monitor https://www.massdrop.com/buy/msi-27-144hz-curved-gaming-monitor Thanks, jtpjr

So,here's my configuration: I have a GTX 1080 that outputs to 4 monitors, 3 1080P 60Hz IPS monitors, in Surround config, that uses the DVI and 2 DP to HDMI. It also drives a fourth monitor, which is a TN 1080P monitor that does 144Hz. I also hooked up my 1080P TV to the PC, but due to connectivity issues Im using the integrated graphics on my i7-6700k. My problem is: When I connect the TV to the integrated graphics and turn it on, the 144Hz monitor goes to 60Hz mode, and as soon as I set it back up to 144Hz in nVidia control panel, it disconnects my TV. is there a way to have both on at max refresh rate?

So I am thinking of doing a triple monitor setup with this monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Curved-27-Inch-Monitor-C27F591/dp/B01CX26VNC I already have one from Christmas but I have yet to build my PC. I was wondering if a single 1080 could handle three of these or would I have to go with 2 of them? I will link my build below https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BsK6KZ

Ok--so I downloaded Battlefield 1 on Friday, and to play it I had to download nVidia's latest driver. Now BF1 works perfectly--but my older games that use to run flawlessly are launching with frame rates of 11 or 12. What's even weirder is how I've been fixing it--I have to go into the graphics settings and flip back and forth some indefinite number of times between 5760x1080 and 1920x1080 resolutions. Sometimes I also have to toggle between windowed, borderless, and fullscreen. But so far--that has worked on every one of the old games that are struggling. How many toggles of the settings it takes to make it do it has been inconsistent, but I'd say probably no more than 2 or 3 times on each setting so far. After that--the game jumps right back up to 60fps (all I need with 60 hz monitors) and doesn't have any further problems at all. That is, until I close it and launch it again. Then the whole process starts over. Does anybody know what could be causing this? I've got an i7 6700k, gtx1070, 32 GB of ram, plenty of hard drive space, and am using three 60hz dell s2415h monitors.

Hello all, I just recently purchased a third monitor to replace my older (not really that old) benq monitor but decided to give three monitors a try and see if I liked it. I just finished setting everything up and when I turned on my pc only one (the center monitor) actually had a signal and can be used, the other two on the sides (both benq) have no signal on the monitor when I turned them on. The weird thing is that in windows settings it shows all three monitors when I checked. The monitors are hooked up to my gtx 1070 so that shouldn't 't be the problem. Please help guys! Thanks, Andrew

I'm currently using an AOC i2369VM IPS monitor, a (600 Ringgit, I'm from Malaysia) budget IPS panel. I plan to upgrade to triple monitor soon and here's my problem. With 800+ ringgit I can get a Dell Ultra Sharp 1080p IPS, which would cost 2.4k++ for triple, or stick with my AOC and get triple for 1.8k++. I am willing to spend more upfront for this triple setup so I won't be regretting bcos a triple is gonna stay the same configuration for a long time, my income isn't stable (student). Question time: Is the Dell Ultra Sharp going to be a significant upgrade to the AOC? p.s. my current AOC has almost no IPS defects, how do Dell's display score in the defects rate, or its a completely random figure? Thanks LTT community

I have a TV connected to my PC. The TV is not always turned on when I use the computer, and i have two other monitors connected. When i turn the TV on, the other monitors blink as if i plugged a new monitor in, and all open windows move one screen to the right. I don't mind the blinking, but I have a few hardware monitoring programs and such open on one of the screens, and having to move all of them back every time is frustrating. Is there anyway to stop the windows from moving screens when i turn on the TV? I use a Windows 7 with a GTX 1080.

Hey guys, so I'm having issues with my three monitor setup right now. I have an AMD R9 270 MSI edition. I have two main monitors which I use all the time, Both are ASUS 21.5 inch monitors. One of them (my main one) is connected through HDMI. The other is connected through VGA with a vga to dvi adapter connected on the gfx card. I want to use my tv as a third monitor to duplicate my first when I feel like sitting down and playing something on the big screen. That is currently connected through a DVI to HDMI cord which has a DVI to display port adapter connected to the gfx card (This means it's using the dsp port from the gfx card to dvi, then theres a dvi to hdmi cable which connects to the TV). Recap: Monitor 1 (HDMI cable) Monitor 2 (VGA cable: VGA to DVI adapter) TV (HDMI-DVI cable: DVI to Display port adapter) I've read around and heard that I need an active adapter to use all 3 displays. I have no clue whether or not this dsp to dvi is active or not but I believe its the one that came with my gfx card this is it http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/122001300709?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true (It's very possible that this didn't come with my gfx card} Here are screenshots of what I'm seeing. Display 1 is the TV And that's what I want to happen but... \ This pops up :'( Any help is greatly appreciated

So I am thinking of getting a triple monitor setup at some point however I don't have the budget to afford a triple 4K Setup (although this isn't something I would be interested in if I had the budget) I can afford a setup that involves a single 4k monitor and two 1080P (The 4K being in the middle of this setup) I was wondering if it is possible to configure them to work in a way that if I wanted to do something like play a game across all of them and not have it zoom letterbox etc. I am currently using a ghetto triple screen setup involving all sorts of issues and different sized screens etc. (Side note I will be buying monitors of the same physical size) any insight is appreciated thanks in advance

20 Days ago I bought myself a brand new "awesome" Gtx 1070 EVGA FTW, I have a triple monitor setup, I only use one for gaming, as one is Full HD and the other two are just HD. All drivers are up to date, Geforce Experience, chipset, bios etc... I am experiencing a weird and disturbing bug, glitch error or crash... I don't even know how to describe it as I've never seen this thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fez2h1lOKsY (this happens once every 10 mins) And then there is this and ONLY happens with that background, whenever I close or open something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9Rp935OfZ4 Now I only run the main display and one 720p display for data monitoring. The main 1080p display is now connected via VGA through the HDMI output (using one adapter), the other 720p display is connected via VGA through one DP (another adapter here!) Also I have noticed high temps on the CPU, idles at around 35 to 40C and with "minimal usage" goes up to 50C (youtube, browsing etc..) the temperatures ramps up really fast, and then back to "normal" also when gaming it doesn't seem to throttle or to go much higher than 68 C with Prime 95. Those temps might not sound too terrible but it is not its normal behavior as far as I'm concerned, I have NO OC, turbo boost is ON. Virus... I really don't think so, I use Anti-Malwarebytes among others, Adwcleaner and I use Avast daily. Is my GPU causing the things? The CPU migth be doiing it all? I just don't know and it's driving me nuts! Intel I7-4790 3.96Ghz, Asus Z-97A, 16Gb RAM 2400mhz 4x4Gb, Kraken X41, Corsair, RM750i 750W, Samsung Evo 850 256Gb, NZXT H440, GTX 1070 EVGA FTW.

Hey Fam, I recently decided to splash out for a second EVGA 1080 FTW card to run some nice SLI configuration for my 2560x1440p 144hz screen (with side screens being 2x1080p 60hz) but as the gains aren't as high as I would hope (usually topping 100-110 FPS for dota2 but hanging around 70FPS or lower at times. I currently have all 3 screens plugged into one card (only way maximize 3D performance would enable in the configurator) and it seems the second card is being used as PhysX only. I have been trying to search for a in-depth youtube vid, or a guide on a website to connect up SLI but unfortunately everything is single monitor centric or not in enough detail. Hopefully someone out this way has seen a tutorial for my situation? Thanks in advance lads

Hi, So my mother bought me £270 of monitors. monitor stand and cables. After plugging it all in (One in Mini Display Port - VGA, one in HDMI - VGA and one in DVI - VGA) it didn't work. So I ordered an *ACTIVE* DVI-VGA and it still doesnt work? My card is an MSI Radeon R9 280x, 2x MiniDisplayPorts, 1x DVI, 1X HDMI. What possibly more do I need to get this working! https://gyazo.com/217ad24e2e2799ef169c8cb50730640d

Hello community, I recently got a third monitor (tv) for my PC .I do video editing often and find that the preview window in DaVinci resolve rather small and if I enlarge it I have less editing space, as in timeline, is it possible to project a fullscreen preview of the video I'm editing to a third monitor while dual monitor is enabled, I've searched the settings, preferences and workspace settings in DaVinci resolve but still can't find a resolution, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello, First time in this forum. I am an Art Director in the gaming industry. I built my computer a couple of years ago. Needless to say... it's time to upgrade most of the components. I am hoping to provide some details about my work and gaming life and see if you guys can point me in the right direction. Firstly, I am setting up with 3 new monitors. I have decided on the Dell UP2516D. I do a lot of work at home. Rendering, modeling, texturing. I use programs like Maya, Photoshop and Zbrush. (This is the primary reason I have selected color accurate monitors and not gaming monitors.) However, I also game. I wouldn't call myself a hardcore gamer.. but I would like to be able to play anything I want with no frame rate issues. Possible even games with triple monitor support. I was thinking of getting the 1080 gtx g1 card. Then I noticed the new Titan x just came out with new pascal design. In order to run 3 monitors with multiple programs open or a game would I need something that powerful? If so, would sli 1080s be better for what I am doing? Or would that only help with game performance. I am basically looking to maximize game and work performance for a 3 monitor setup. I wouldn't want to spend more that $2500 (roughly the price of 2 Titan s cards) if possible. Any advice? Thanks! ps I did not provide current system specs... I will update the mb if needed but the one I have does support sli.

Hello there,I actually have one monitor which is 27" and another 19", I'm willing to buy another second hand 19" monitor only 720p does the job for me. The same 19" have can be found for around 25 bucks so I think it is worth.I was thinking about using a stand for all those 3 monitors, but I really find myself lost... I would like to keep the price down but I know this thing doesn't come cheap! What do I have to look for when choosing? Will any stand fit in any monitor? Is my idea just fool and I would do better buying 1 stand for each monitor?Just help me find a way to knowledge! Thanks! EDIT: My table is very thick so "clamp"are out of the game here i would like something like a stand or even to put it into the wall.

I am trying to mount my predator x34 and two 27 BenQ monitors to 1 mount and I can't find 1 that will support my x34 (a 34" ultrawide monitor). I have looked at all of ergotech's options and they didn't have anything, does anybody know how I could mount these?

I've never built a pc before and have always gamed on consoles, but I'm looking to make the switch. After seeing the Phanteks case on Awesomesauce's White Build, I knew I wanted to build a PC in that case. As it turned out--I ended up picking a few of the same parts to maintain the color scheme. I'd really like to not go over about $2200. I'm currently finishing law school and could benefit HUGELY from having multiple monitors for productivity now and after school. Plus...it just does something to a person. I've selected the monitors partly due to price restraints but mainly because having the thinnest bezels between screens was really important to me. I'm planning on using three wall mounts to attach each to the wall in formation under my wall mounted Samsung 55-inch (UN55F7100AF) television. I want to mostly use the TV as a TV but want to be able to switch into a 3+1 setup when I'd like (mostly for browsing while gaming). I know this isn't the absolute top of the line, but I want it capable of being close to that with a few upgrades down the line. I'm hoping to get either of the VR setups within the next few months and plan to install another SSD at the first opportunity. Is there anything you guys can recommend?

Hi! I'm looking for other ways to easily find all sorts of monitors by categories similar to pcpartpicker's choose a monitor. Use case for the monitor is just for work and some casual games like Far Cry 3/4, GTA V, etc. For me, the "must have" for the monitor are: IPS 1080p 17''+ thin bezel (will buy 2 more for triple monitor in a few months) VESA mount compatible decent buttons for selecting menus (not really a need) ~ $300, but lower the better Let me know if I'm asking the impossible. For the triple monitor stand, I'm thinking of the Ergotech one (100-D16-B03-TW) but I'm still looking. Something else may have came out better and cheaper.
