I have a three monitor setup on a GTX 750 TI 2gb. Two of these are normal 1080p monitors and my third is a Cintiq drawing monitor/tablet which is natively supposed to run at 4k but instead only goes up to 2560 x 1440 QHD, the exception to fix this though is I have to disconnect one of my other monitors? Is this a limitation of my GPU? and if so what's the minimum/recommended one I would need?

Hey to who is reading, through the years I've built and upgraded my rig and peripherals. I've recently earned enough money to have a tri-Monitor setup. I understand my Asus gtx 1050 ti Strix occ can Handel 3 Monitors at a low mid range at 1080p. But I was wondering what GPU would be most cost-effective and have good performance in a budget of £250 ruffly. Photos of my rig, GPU and system will be bellow kind regards Tom

Hi all, I am looking to upgrade to a triple monitor setup where I have 2 23" 1080p monitors and 1 4k 32" monitor. The 4k is the addition, to be used as a TV replacement and multipurpose screen for movies, gaming, and multitasking. I am running an fx 9370 cpu, 16 gb ram, and evga SSC gtx 960 4 gb gpu. Sufficient power supply and air cooling. This powers my 2 1080p monitors well for gaming and multitasking. Gaming includes but is not limited to: Overwatch, Rocket League, Skyrim, WoW, Civ V and VI, World of Tanks, The Forest, and Ark: Survival Evolved. I have interest in new AAA shooters but don't want to buy the hype yet. This listed scale of games do great with the 960 4gb in 1080p. I only game on one monitor at a time, I don't like using ultrawide ratios much. So my goal is to add the 4k display for gaming and having the two 1080p screens for in-game multitasking windows. I'm here because I've read a bunch of threads about triple monitor on the 960, but of different combinations, such as all 1080p or all 4k, sometimes with people wanting to have a game displayed on all three monitors at once. I'm just looking for a single monitor 4k gaming display with two 1080p peripherals at the same time. The influence to add the new screen is to replace my TV and make it more versatile with my system. I understand the 960 4 gb will be pushed very hard to do 4k gaming, and I want to future proof my new monitor for whenever the gpu market fixes itself and I can snag a new gpu. (maybe also get a Ryzen build going too) But if I can't use the 4k display now, I probably don't want it yet. For gaming reference, I'd like at least 40 fps in shooter games, and ark type games I'd settle for whatever it will run on (if you play ark I'm sure you understand). Frequency I really don't care about. I've been at 60 Hz for a while and I don't see a problem with it. Would I need to run the 4k screen in 1080p scale for gaming on this system to work? That wouldn't be too bad. I can still future proof and use the 4k screen with my Blu ray player. Also, if I come across $500, what would be the minimum gpu you would recommend for feasible performance on this setup? I can look at the secondary market and try to snag a 1070, for example. But they're currently running ~$700-$800 used on ebay. Thanks in advance, Jakelq

In the process of building a new triple monitor gaming/media rig and I am obsessed with hardware monitoring. I want to get a smaller (like 5-7in) hdmi power display as a fourth monitor, and have all my monitoring software open on that screen on startup. My problem is, I have done something similar before a long time ago, and I absolutely hated when I would flick the mouse across the screens and it would land on the tiny screen. Every where I search, mouselocks are for keeping the mouse on a single screen. Is there any built in, or third party software for Windows 10 that I can toggle to stop the mouse from going onto just that one screen, without blocking it's movement to other screens? First post here. I'm not much of a forum guy, so I didn't know whether to post this in the monitor or mouse section.

Now that Win10 has been out for a while I'm curious as to how the triple screen with Nvidia Surround works. I know that Win10 finally natively does the 4 corner snapping per monitor which is SUPER nice, but not enough for me to transfer over to 10. Is Surround still terrible, or does Win10 support it any better? Currently on Win7 I can use a hot key to go in/out of surround, but coming out it goes back to single screen mode and I have to winkey+P to extend back to triples. And once in surround it still kind of freaks out the snapping. The side snaps take half of all screen space, but fullscreen snaps USUALLY only take up one monitor. Is this the same in Win10? Also, is there any other fun tips or tricks that Win10 can do with triples?

Hello, So I recently got a MacBook Pro 2012 Mid i5 13.3", I brought it as I want to develop IOS apps natively, I also wanted to see what the apple eco system is like. My MacBook has 2 USB ports and 1 thunderbolt 2 port, so I was thinking would I be able to use the 2 USB ports, with USB to VGA adapters and the do the same with thunderbolt but with a HDMI adapter to thunderbolt. Thanks Steven

Hello all, I would like to create a thunderbolt 3 docking station of sorts that both my 15in Macbook Pro and wife's 13in Macbook Pro (no touchbar) could use, but I'm having difficulty figuring out something user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Essentially, I would like to have three 4k monitors, power, and several USB devices all connect with two thunderbolt 3 plugs. I only have my laptop, a mouse, USB microphone, and USB MIDI keyboard so far, so I'm pretty much starting from scratch here. Budget is about $2,000. Use will be productivity focused with some very light gaming (Civ, Worms, Minecraft), so 60Hz is fine. 27in, VESA mounting, and Freesync are also desired if possible. From my research, it looks like a single thunderbolt 3 cable can run up to 2 4k displays at 60Hz. Thus, my general plan is to dedicate one thunderbolt cable to two displays and the other to the third display and an external backup drive. Then I'd sprinkle my less data intensive USB devices throughout using either built in USB ports on the displays or a USB hub if necessary. Does that make sense? A dock like the vertical Hengedock is attractive to get rid of cable clutter and transform it into a truly single plug and play solution. Although this model will not fit both Macbook sizes. The Dell UltraSharp 27 4K display really caught my eye. (27in, 4k, IPS, HDR, VESA, bezel-less for $500!) However, they don't have thunderbolt 3 inputs. There exist some thunderbolt 3 to dual displayport adapters, however I'm not sure if they would A) charge my laptop from the display and B) limit USB performance of devices attached to the monitors' USB ports. There doesn't seem to be any thunderbolt 3 monitors on the market right now that support daisy chaining and full 87 Watt charging, though both should be possible. I would like whatever accessories I buy to last 10 years since both 4k and thunderbolt 3 are forward-looking. The correct solution may be to wait a year or two until the right products come on the market. Any input would be great! Is my general thought process correct? Am I way too soon to be attempting this type of setup? How should I distribute my USB devices? Are there any products you know of that would suit my needs? Would a thunderbolt 3 dock or an external graphics card enclosure be worth the high prices? Could I purchase one monitor now and complete the full setup later? What is the best VESA mount to use? P.S. If you feel inclined to hate on my laptop choice, just read Macbook Pro as Razerblade Stealth

Okay, so I have an MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X in my rig (with an overclocked Intel Core i5 6600K), and I was wondering if I could run a triple display setup on this. Now you may be about to answer "well, yeah obviously, if it's three 1080p panels". However, my MAIN monitor, is a 4K ASUS panel, and I am going to run a cheap 1080p monitor next to it for streaming and stuff, and a 40" 1080p TV above my main monitor on the wall to put movies on my PC on and to hook up my Wii U to play some Mario Kart if I have the boys over (yes, I know, "eww consoles" is the response im waiting for ). I am not willing to downscale the resolution on my main 4K monitor, keep in mind. I also want to know, that if this does work, how much (approx.) load would my GPU have to be under at all times, and how would it effect gaming performance. I look forward to your answers in the comments! Thanks!

Hi there, I'm in need of a new computer (had a laptop) which I can use for work and gaming. I don't feel confident enough to pick and assemble it myself (PCPartPicker). I'm using a website / company to pick from pre-selected parts and they assemble it. I want to know if I selected the best parts for my aim, or if I should change something. I also need help with figuring out how a triple monitor setup + a drawing monitor works. As for work, I'm streaming Photoshop. It's important that the PC works fluently, without slow down. I also highly value it being silent (open MIC). As for gaming, I'm not that interested in high-end AAA games. I'm perfectly fine with playing a more demanding game on lower settings. I don't care for overclocking, SLI nor RBG. 1920x1080, 60 Hz/FPS is perfect for me. Website: https://rigbuilder.nl/winkel/game-pc-configurator/ Budget: €1550,- I don't want to buy parts I don't need or can't utilize (bottleneck). Aim: Streaming Photoshop (buying a Wacom Cintiq 13HD), Gaming (Overwatch, indies). Note: I'm not streaming my games. Concerns: Bottleneck, loud fans. Case: Aerocool DS 230 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6 cores @ 3.8/3.9 Fan: Scythe Mugen 5 Motherboard: Asrock B350M GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB RAM: Crucial DDR4 16 GB @ 2133 Mhz Power Supply: Seasonic S12II 520 Watt Storage 1: SSD - Samsung EVO 850 Storage 2: HDD - 7200 RPM Wi-Fi: TP-Link TL-WN823N Dongle (up to 300 mbit/s) Extra fans: Silent Fan Pack OS: Windows 10 Current price: €1319,- Keyboard: Corsair K55 RBG Mouse: Logitech G602 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monitors: ??? Budget: €550,- (for all three monitors, not each) Aim: I want a triple monitor setup + the Wacom Cintiq 13HD tablet. Note: I'm not going to use all three monitors for gaming. Monitor 1: Main screen / Stream / Game Monitor 2: OBS, Twitch chat, etc (Steam stuff) (Extend Monitor 1 - Left) Monitor 3: Google, Music, etc (Personal stuff) (Extend Monitor 1 - Right) Tablet: Drawing (Duplicate Monitor 1) Concerns: Can you extend AND duplicate at the same time, and how? Note: All monitors and the tablet will have the same resolution (1920x1080), but not size. I need to know how to duplicate and extend at the same time, before I can select the monitors I want to buy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you have any questions, just ask. Thanks in advance! -- Casey

Currently I am using 2 Samsung 4k freesync monitors running off of a XFX RX 480XXX video card. Looking to add a 3rd 4k monitor. Can my video card handle an additional 4k monitor? Or should I add a 2nd RX580? Will the new Vega 56/64 handle 3 4k monitors? I do no gaming. Instead, my system is primarily used for civil engineering cadd models, and editing for photography/video. For years I ran a quad monitor setup and I now find I prefer a certain layout of menus, etc. I am running a i7-7700k with an ROG Hero IX MB w/ 32Gb ram & 2 M.2 NMVe drives. My PS is a Corsair 850RMi, so I should have plenty of power for dual cards or a Vega. Thanks!

Whatsup dudes! So I have 3 of these HP monitors currently sitting on my desk and their stands take up a lot of real estate on my desk. I would like to mount the montiors on a single wall mount underneath the TV. But I wouldn't be opposed to doing three separate mounts, I'm also not trying to break the bank. It looks like i will have to buy a bracket to make it capable to mount is that correct? If so what kind of bracket? And is there a solution that would mount into my wall and have three arms that can handle three 27 inch monitors? Most mounts i find are from the ranges of 22-25 inches recommended. Thank you guys i appreciate it.

Hey everyone, So currently my current build is as follows: Motherboard: Asus Z87-A CPU: Intel I5 4670K (overclocked to 4.2 I haven't tried higher) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC 4GB w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Memory: Patriot - Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory As you can probably tell, I'm not a frame chaser by any means. At the time I built it in 2013 I just needed something for every-day office usage like browsing the web and office programs with a bit of gaming on the side. I mostly strategy and 2D indie games with a few MMO's like Warcraft and League as I've never been quite into FPS's. The build really hasn't let me down as I also am not averse to turning down the settings to reach a decent frame rate. Recently, however, I decided to get triple monitors for productivity. I now have 3 FreeSync capable 1080p 75hz monitors and have been exploring a few more GPU intensive games like The Witcher and Deus Ex. I mostly play them with the center monitor but I would be interested in trying out surround for some games later. I'm not looking to upgrade my whole system at this point, possibly the RAM and GPU (PSU if necessary). Given the new release of Vega 64, while I wouldn't bite at it's current prices, if I was able to snag one at the originally slated $500 price point should I get one for the sake of taking advantage of the FreeSync monitors I already have? Or would you just buy a GTX 1080 TI and call it a day? While it's undisputed that GTX 1080 TI is king right now, all the information I see regarding FreeSync is directly in relation to G-Sync. Again, given I already have FreeSync monitors, is it worth losing some FPS to take advantage of the feature or would you just go for the GTX 1080 TI and lose this function? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Right now i have PG27AQ its a 4k monitor ips with 60hz. I could get the ultrawide monitor PG348Q from asus and use this monitor as my second, and in overall they 2 would make almost a 3 monitor look, although im afraid that it would be a bit too much to one side. Or i could buy a second monitor with 165hz qhd ips PG279Q and a third monitor but i dont know which, my budget is around 1200eur. I dont know what third monitor i should get and im concerned about the looks as well. What do you think?

I am planning on building a Computer later this year and i have all the parts picked out but i am setting up a triple monitor set up and i need to know what is a good set up to house 3 monitors and a the actual computer on the desk. i have been looking and i have no clue what size desk i will need? is L-shaped better? Greetings, I am currently running 3 ACER monitors with the X34 being the center. I have to the left a XB280HK (4k) and to the right a XB270HU. Initially I was going to use 3 X34's but after seeing the video of the set up on Linustechtips Youtube I want to scale it down to 2 1440 displays (one on each end) and use the 4K and 1080 displays as spares. So in the end I would like a 1440/X34/1440. Now the question....I am looking for a 27 or 28 1440 monitor and would love to have it curved and zero frame....I could also just get a second X34...but I am used to the 3 monitor set up....Video Cards - 2 GTX1080's in SLI. Any recommendations as to which monitors I should get? Thanks

Hey guys, I'm new here, so I hope you'll cut me some slack I'm trying to set up my three monitors using nvidia surround. All the configuration steps work, but as soon as I hit the "Enable surround" button, everything freezes for a bit. A few flashes and random jumps between monitors later, and suddenly the surround view is working, except for that the monitor numbers (1,2,3) still show up on all screens. I then go ahead and try to close the Nvidia surroundsettings config window. Now it acts like its totally frozen for a bit, and after trying many times, it finally closes, and everyting is looking good. Nice!.....Thought so too until all my monitors start blinking black.(!) A few seconds pass between each blink, but I'd say it happens around every 10th second.. It's really annoying. Everything works, except for the blinking.. Does anyone know what the culprit could be? I've tried using DDU to remove all of the drivers, and reinstalling them but the problem is still here. My setup is as follows EVGA GTX 1070 FTW 1 Acer XB240HA 1080p 144hz monitor connected through DP 2 Samsung S24D390 1080p 60hz monitors. One connected through DP, the other one connected through HDMI I'll link my system info too. Any help is wildly appreciated guys asdfasdf.nfo

As the title says. I'll be having a triple 1080p monitor setup coming up (just ordered) mainly for productivity and programming. I play rocket league during my short breaks and I'd like to utilize all the 3 monitors for it. Currently using a GTX 750 Ti on a single ASUS VC239H 1080p Monitor and I'm getting 55-70fps so I don't think it'll hold up if I use NVIDIA Surround with a res of 5760x1080 with that card. I only play Rocket League, CSGO and Dota 2 so I don't think I need a high-end card. Would like to at least get 60fps on 5760x1080, will the 1050 Ti be enough? Or do you think I'd probably need a 1060 or 1070 to at least get 60fps?

So has anyone here tried this or has any suggestions as to what 1080p monitors would go best together in a triple monitor setup? Like should I get either TN with 2 ISP on the sides or all TN, so the displays are more comparable? Ideally, it would be nice if companies made monitors that had the exact same bezel size/display colour accuracy, but only 60hz and without features such as "3D" which everyone clearly uses... Though I realize this might lose them some money with enthusiasts who will just buy three 144hz monitors so they're the exact same. My main concern is of course cost. I am aiming for the main monitor to be around 250£ and side monitors <125£. UK sites of course.

I'm looking at doing triple monitor gaming with a 1080p ultrawide in the middle and a 16:9 1080p monitor on each side and I'm not sure what gpu to get, can someone help me? My choices are a 1060 3gb, 470 4gb, 470 8gb, 480 4gb and a 480 8gb but I am sort of on a budget but I'll happily spend more if the performance increase is noticeable but not for a couple fps. One of the main games I play is gta 5 on medium settings because I don't notice a huge amount of difference to the looks on higher settings and I like about 40-60 fps. Can someone tell me what will be best for me in my situation?
