Hey guys, I was thinking about upgrade my RAM, currently I have the Tridentz RGB 16Gb 16-16-16-36 on my Ryzen 3700X. What do you think is more worth it? 1 - get another exact same kit? .... 190€ 2 - get 32Gb NEO 16-19-19-39..... 242€ 3 - get 32Gb NEO 16-16-16-36..... 344€ Whats the different between the 2 NEOs? The 2nd is not bdie and the 3rd is bdie? Should I leave it just as it is...

First, to get this out of the way, these are the specs of my PC: Now I'll cut to the chase, the issue is as follows: Originally, I was using 8 Corsair Dominator RAM sticks for 64GB 3200mhz cl16 which I then overclocked to 3400mhz cl17. Back then everything was running completely fine, no issues whatsoever. Not long ago I've upgraded my RAM to the Tridentz Royal which are also 8 sticks for a total of 64GB, 3200mhz cl14, and that was the point where the issues started occurring- At every attempt of enabling XMP, the motherboard signals a 'detect memory' issue message. Even when removing all sticks, then trying with only 2/4/6 sticks at a time I found no success. I then went back to the Dominator sticks as they used to work completely fine before, however they also failed to XMP, as well as when trying only 2/4/6 sticks at a time. I find that to be very bizarre. The CPU manages to easily reach an overclock frequency of 4.6ghz. Whatever I try, the memory manages to settle only at 2133 and that is it, no matter the configuration. At every single hertz that is being added, the system crashes- It either fails to boot up, or just bsods out of a hardware issue. I'm very helpless at this point, as I have no idea about what else I could do or what is causing the issue. All help is gladly welcome and very appreciated, thanks in advance.

BIOS settings - XMP profile, Smart Fan reverting back to default when system is completely shut down and disconnected from power. This is my very 1st budget gaming PC build. Not at all into overclocking and other geeky stuff about extracting more juice from PC components. But being a follower of LTT, RFP, Pauls Hardware and other PC build videos managed to build this dream setup. The main components I have assembled are as below - i. Ryzen 7 3700X(with stock wraith RGB cooler since am not overclocking CPU) ii. Gigabyte X570 Gaming X iii. G.Skill Tridentz F4-3200C16D 16GTZR 8x2GB (2nd and 4th slot) iv. MSI RX5700 XT Evoke v. Corsair MP510 480GB vi. Corsair RM750 PSU Havent tried updating the BIOS and everything else is in default setting. Only changes I am doing are enabling XMP profile inside Advanced Memory Settings, enabling Fan failure alerts in Smart Fan. With these changes saved as a profile or simply saving and proceeding with windows boot CPU-Z shows DRAM frequency at 1596MHz, dual channel which means XMP profile is working. If I restart or shut down my system but keep the power to PSU on, BIOS settings remain unchanged and CPU-Z shows 3200MHz. Problem starts when I shut down and turn off power. Next time I hit the power button PC wont boot to windows directly before restarting multiple times with blank display. And when windows is finally on which is the case after 30 secs CPU-Z shows DRAM frequency to be 1064.5MHz sharp everytime, RAM speed drops to 2133MHz. Going back into BIOS welcomes me with the message "BIOS has been reset. Please set configurations .......bla bla bla". This looks like a CMOS battery issue but I think that would have messed up the system date time settings as well which isnt my case. Even then I am an amateur so please correct me if I am wrong. The dealer asked me to bring back the motherboard or change the CMOS battery. Its been a month since I built this and I request expert advice from this forum before I rip apart my system all over again.

I have a small problem. My TridentZ RGB (two modules) is not syncing, one module is running slightly faster than the other one. I don't know what's going on honestly Anyone have any solutions to this weird problem?

I'll keep it short, I've upgraded my PC early last year and I had put 2x8 TridentZ this exact model : https://www.gskill.com/product/165/166/1536654268/F4-3200C16D-16GTZRTrident-Z-RGBDDR4-3200MHz-CL16-18-18-38-1.35V16GB-(2x8GB) Now I wanna upgrade my RAM, make it 32GB and I've been meaning to place order for another 2x8 kit [exact model] but I read someplace that you oughta order 4x8 Kits if you wanna have them be compatible and that's been messing with me because I can't just ignore my current RAM and order another kit of 4x8. So am I safe in ordering 2 more of the same model? Rest of the specs: Intel i7 8700K + GTX 1080Ti + ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E Motherboard Let me know, thanks!

hi! I have just put together a new ryzen build and have run into some memory problems. hardware is tomahawk max ryzen 3600 g.skill trident z neo 3600 16-18-18-18-39 2x16gb asus dual EVO 2070 super Cooler master v750 psu For oc i have enabled pbo and auto oc in ryzen master. For the gpu i have 1000mhz memory oc and 60mhz core clock. Xmp enabled and memory rubbing at 3600mhz eithbstock timinga. All tested and stable in superposition, cpu-z, user benchmark. But then I got down to gaming and had unexpected crashes in rdr2. Tried aida64, system reboots on fpu test. then i turned xmp off and system works, but memory at 2166mhz. so my question is: any fixes for this so that i can run memory at 3600mhz or should I return the sticks and replace then with some better ones?

Hello, I wish to have my Trident Z G.Skill 2x 8gb Ram sticks to sync with my RGB lighting. I understand there has been problems with programs such as Aurasync "Corrupting" the ram and having to crazily troubleshoot to get it back to working condition. I see that in one of Linus' videos he was sent a computer that had its RGB pre set up to match those of the corsair fans out of box. Seeing as that is being done I chose to post here to see what kind of solution has been made to fix my worries that my ram too could get corrupted when obviously they're selling out of the box already set up RGB with compatibility. Linus says in the video that it is most likely controlled by aura sync but compatibility doesn't exist yet for it right? Links for reference to said Video. Link 1(Corsair Link w/fans) Link 2(Trident X G.Skill ram) Link 3(Working RGB Sync) I'm reaching out for a solution so I don't brick my ram or anything of the sort. Have to go through RMA, Troubleshoot, or get the corsair vengeance and waste more money and give my ram away. I am going to be getting 3 T-Force Delta RGB lit SSD's and will be wanting to use aurasync or similar program to connect all those products plus my motherboard together. I currently have corsair link hooked up to 7 fans and works dandy, have a corsair water cooling with RGB logo on it, and 3 RGB Strip from corsair. all works fine. Sidenote: I know that getting corsair vengeance will match my build better but for the moment I'm looking for a solution for both myself and others affected by the same issue. Thank you in advance, Tristan AKA Innocence_Ends - Lover of PC building and helping others.

Hey guys! I'm planning to upgrade my RAM to 64gb by combining two separate (2x16gb) G.Skill Trident Z kits, specifically the model below: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory (F4-3600C17D-32GTZR) Current system specs are: i9-9900k 4.9Ghz OC (H115i Pro 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler) MEG Z390 Godlike (Latest BIOS) Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 4x8GB DDR4 3000mhz 2x MSI RTX 2080ti Corsair AX1500i Is it okay if I combine 2 Trident Z kits to achieve the 64GB total? I've already researched about the QVL not being updated because there are too many RAM kits in the market, but I just wanted to read about your expert opinions if these will cause any issues? Any suggestions are welcome! Thank you for your time! Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Hey guys! Fair warning: Total noob when it comes to PC building. I'm looking at two different RAMs for an upgrade: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16gb 2x8 3200mhz Klevv Cras X 16gb 2x8 3600 Mhz I'm using an MSI Mortar B450 motherboard and a Ryzen 5 2600, and currently with an 8GB 2666mhz RAM, RoG RX580 8GB as my main GPU. What's better when it comes to overall performance of the PC between the two RAMs? Also, I'm using an interface where I have two monitors with two different GPUs. I have an RX 580 for my main display, and a GT 630 for my secondary -- both monitors have the same specs. Question here is does it matter if I use two different GPUs for my main and secondary display? Or should I take off the GT630 and just use my RX580 since it has two ports? Thanks a lot for your answers. I'd like to get some before I do any purchase.

I just finished rebuilding my PC. It starts up, it boots like it should. Only one issue. When I leave it alone it to see if it will hibernate properly, the monitor screen will shut off for about 5 mins but the PC itself will reboot and it's done this 3 times now. Any suggestions?

Warning: I'm a noob I was going to get myself a pair of G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 16 gb (kit of 2, for about 200$) for my new Ryzen 2600X, but then realized that its "for intel CPU's'' and there's a specific X version for AMD. The problem is that the X version is only sold at a single shop in my country and costs 35$ more (which is in total 235$ for 16gb ram) and I'm already a bit low on cash. If I get the cheaper Intel ones, will it still work fine just not overclockable? Or will it have also some other problems, perhaps with the x370 motherboard??? Btw I don't really care about ram speeds that much, around 2400-2666 is enough for me, and I only plan to overclock the CPU.

Well I bought 2x8 Trident Zs and I have just realised that they are too tall... My build will be using an Intel stock cooler , I wonder will the RAM blocks it?

Hey everyone! So i'm kinda wanting to rgb sync my pc. but I've heard tell that when you use Aurasync on GSkill TridentZ memory gets bricked when you use some sort of color matching scheme. If so, is it worth syncing? If not, how would i go about syncing my fans and my memory.
-
Hey everyone! I have 4 sticks of G.Skill TridentZ Memory and I've heard that you can control the color but I have also heard that RAM Color software can brick your memory . . . please help! My RGB rig is in desperate need of color coordination!

Hey yall, I recently put together a new rig for myself based on a 3900x - decided to jump the intel ship this year. I am having a hell of a time getting my memory stable at anything other than the default of 2133mhz. Parts: AMD 3900X Asus Strix X570-E G.SKILL TridentZ Neo 3600Mhz C18 (F4-3600C18D-32GTZN) I had it running for a couple of weeks on XMP (DOCP) profile and it randomly froze and will not boot again now unless I reset to defaults. I've taken a pretty large hit on FPS in games like Tarkov. So I've been trying to do as much research as possible, and have tried most of the alternate values that the DRAM calculator gives (especially for procODT). I have also tried a SAFE profile for running it at 3200 and it fails to post in all scenarios. Originally when installing my CPU / RAM it would fail to post until I loosened the CPU cooler a bit. Do I have shitty memory? Shitty CPU? I'm also aware that I'm not the most knowledgeable on memory overclocking, and may have messed up already by getting C18. I admit I am out of my depth here, and was hoping to just slap on the XMP profile and be off. I am willing to purchase a new set at this point if it is what I must do... I am pretty confident that it is Hynix CJR memory based on the taiphoon output (attached) but I have read plenty online about some Trident Z Neo sticks being b-die. I know this can be hard to troubleshoot online, but maybe there is something obvious that I am missing or can try. Any help or tips greatly appreciated, Semo Update: I went from getting about 120-140fps in EFT to about 30-40 today. Not sure if related to above or some windows update. Hi! I’m currently planning on a build with a ryzen 5 3600, asrock B450 steel legend and 16gb of g.skill trident z rgb. But when I checked their site they have a specific kind of trident z for amd, the gtzrx, but they also have regular ram for intel, gtzr. Does it matter which one you pair with ryzen, or is it only more performance if you pair the x version with ryzen?

Hi! What are your thoughts on this.... Going for 16GB Ram memory, which would you rather get of these two: - GSkill TridentZ DDR4 3600Mhz Cl15 2x8GB - GSkill Tridentz DDR4 3200Mhz Cl14 2x8GB I know the 3600 cl15 is the faster one... but would there really be a noticeable difference?? What do you think? The 3200 cl14 offers one set of 2x16GB, should that be something that matters.. ( Not going to buy either.. just curios.. for future reference etc. )

The first months been absolutely hell. My audio is still a mess with my attic pro wireless. It’s kinda turned me off to the whole pc scene after over $3500 spent on parts. Please and help with my rgb even more important the artic pro wireless microphone the headphones are amazing.
