Is this thermal paste good? I have used AS 5, CM Thermal Fusion 400, and Antec Diamond 7 before, but not anything from thermaltake. The only thing I am weary of is that TG-5 uses the spread method and I have heard it leads to heating issues. Is the dot method still better?

So, I bought a new PC last week. The people from who I bought the parts they builded the PC (hope you can understand). So, I installed HWMonitor and the temperatures on CS:GO where going to 84 degress celsius and the max voltage was 1.468v ... and PC was biping (not audio) I even went with 100% fan speed but nothing helps, its still 84c and it beeps every time there is smoke on screen. Hello. I am building a new gaming rig from parts that I will purchase locally. Purchasing date is some time next week. Unfortunately, there aren't many options available in terms of PSU units, but shipping from outside will be costly and risky. My chosen components: CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus H97M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Kingston Fury White Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card Case: Antec GX500 ATX Mid Tower Case Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer Monitor: LG 22MP55HQ-P 60Hz 22.0" 1080p Monitor List of available 500W PSUs: Antec VP-500PC 500W FSP HEXA 500 500W Thermaltake Smart SE SPS-530M 530W The three sell for the same price. I can't seem to find proper reviews for any one them. Between the mentioned trio, which one should I go for?

I want to get into water cooling but i find the cost a bit high to build my own setup atm. Which has led me to look around for cheaper options. I found someone selling a Thermaltake Bigwater 745 for $70 and I have a few questions regarding this. I'm wondering if it will have sufficient TDP to handle a 2600k at 4.5Ghz and possibly a GPU as well if I throw another block into the mix. Is it also possible to mount the 240mm rad internally? As I'm worried because its a fairly old kit. Cheers E.

Hello LTT forum members! i have a question that i need answered^^ I am currently a quite happy owner of a Thermaltake Chaser MK1 (here's a pic of the internals) My question is: Will the Maximus V Extreme (z77) fit? The current motherboard is 30.5 cm x 24.4 cm (12 inch x 9.6 inch if you're american) And the Maximus V Extreme is. 30.5 cm x 27.2 cm (12.0 inch x 10.7 inch) Lengthwise it should work. and i should have enough space to allow cables through the routing holes. But i am a bit worried about the mounting holes on the motherboard. They look like they are in pretty much the same place. but i need to have that confirmed Thermaltake have not mentioned anything about EATX compatibility. But still. I would like to keep the case since i like it. So.. Will it fit? (and yes i am aware of my horrible cable management...)

I looked down at my computer the other night and noticed just how dusty and abused it was. Seeing as it is my baby it needed some TLC. So I decided to take everything apart, clean it and rebuild it! I've enjoyed seeing some of the build logs here so I thought why not give it a try. For the last year or so, I've been using a Cooler Master Elite 431+. It's served me pretty well, and for a $50 case, I can't complain all that much. However, I have a LOT of stuff crammed in here, and this tiny little mid-tower case just isn't cutting it anymore, so it's time to upgrade. As it stands right now, I have a rat's nest of wires, and want something with ample cable management and room for plenty of hardware (plus expandability for the future). This has me looking at the 750D and the Urban T81 for several key reasons: They're large enough, without going full-on 900D size (which is a bit too big to fit under my desk) They both have a very clean aesthetic Both have removable hard drive cages and can support plenty of HDD's (I currently have 3x 3.5" HDD's, 1x 2.5" HDD, and one 2.5" SSD in my rig Both have plenty of cable management space behind the motherboard tray (1"+ on both, if I remember correctly) Windowed side panels Ample water cooling compatibility (not a current issue, but I would like to water cool my rig in the future) Lots of airflow (especially in the Thermaltake). I like my components to run cool. I definitely like how the Corsair looks a lot more, but the Thermaltake has the advantage of a door to cover the 5.25" bays. The TT case is also about $50 more expensive. So, my question for you guys is which case do you think I should get? The Corsair? The Thermaltake? Something else entirely? I'm open to suggestions about other cases, so feel free to turn my attention to something else. Thanks in advance for the help!

Ok So I have an interesting situation. I bought a Corsair AX860i PSU, This PSU is rated at 92% efficiency and up @ 230V @20% load and higher. I've been doing some testing and I have found that my PSU barely gets 88% efficiency and hovers between 82%-88%. I bought it for efficiency mostly because our electricity prices go up by 28% on a yearly basis. This is interesting finding though as it is a Platinum rated PSU and should perform as rated (not as marketed) and this is why you pay a hefty price for higher quality components. What do you do in a situation like this? Is it a faulty product? How many end users actually buy these products and trust not only the brand, but the rating system as well? How many end users actually test their own products they buy? Do reviewers get hand picked units? Do quality of units depend on regions? Many more questions come up but I'd like to know who else have experienced this and should it really matter since its your hard earned cash you are trading for a rated guaranteed product?

This is by no means a professional case mod. Today my project car went to the crushers. So i salvaged the badges of the car and did a small bit of tribute modding on my case. The pictures might not be that great or that well posed but it's the middle of the night and i couldn't be bothered.. since i've only got a webcam. I got the car in april 2011. It was my first car. I saved up for the entire winter to buy it and i loved it. Then in 2012 the engine blew. A coolant hose burst and the head gasket went. The engine seized up before i could pull over. I spent many hours dissasembling the entire car, sanding the body. and fixing the rust.. But because of reasons i don't need to bring up on here i had to send it away. Let's just say some friends are not to be trusted. So now i am sad. But at least i've got something to remind me of the fun i had in that car So without further ado. Here are some pics. The car... The pc. I think it doesn't look half bad. The dent on the 0 bit of the 190 is making it look a bit wonky though. But that's ok. That dent makes it a bit special

I'm trying to decide on a 140mm/120mm AIO water cooler; so far I've narrowed it down to two: NZXT Kraken X40 or the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Pro. Can anyone offer me advice on which of these is a more adequate cooling option?

I've got a friend (not tech savvy what so ever) and I've been looking around for some ~$50 price ranged cases. Yes I know about NZXT's awesome budget cases, but I already have one. So I want something different for him. My question is, is this a good case? What about cable management? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133200

So I just purchased a Zalman ZM-T4 case on Amazon and I just realized that my CPU cooler might not fit in. According to the specs, the CPU cooler's height is 160mm and the case's width is 189mm. Do you think it will be enough or should I cancel the purchase? Thanks

I recently built myself a new computer, which works fine, but whilst i was building it and putting it all together, i found that my h100i radiator is pretty much touching the pump and is putting a bit of pressure on the CPU mount screw. Im using the "Thermaltake Black Commander MS-III mid tower", so I want to buy a new full tower case, under $200 preferably. Ive looked around and i found that the NZXT Phantom 630 looks pretty good with heaps of space, or the Original Phantom, but im not sure if these are the best choice since the Original Phantom still looks a bit small. :S

So Thermaltake Overseer RX-I has 5 hard drive bays, and I'm only using one hard drive. Should I put it in the exact middle so that the intake fan blows air over and under it? It's blocking airflow if I put it on any other ones. The middle is exactly the centre of the fan. Both the top and bottom my my hard drive gets warm - hot so I think the middle is the best. (And yes I removed all of the other four bays since they are blocking airflow). Help is appreciated!
