  1. Ever Wondered how our digital life would be in 2025? The Pew Research Center published a report in which a majority of experts agree that our current expectations of digital privacy may be completely gone by 2025. More than 2,500 experts weighed in on security, liberty and privacy online and whether there will be a "trusted privacy-rights infrastructure" in place by 2025 that lets people protect their personal data easily. One respondent suggested that as the Internet continues to expand, the very idea of privacy will become a fringe activity. Overall, 2,511 respondents weighed in on the following questions: Security, liberty, privacy online Will policy makers and technology innovators create a secure, popularly accepted, and trusted privacy-rights infrastructure by 2025 that allows for business innovation and monetization while also offering individuals choices for protecting their personal information in easy-to-use formats? elaborate the answer.Describe what you think the reality will be in 2025 when it comes to the overall public perception about whether policy makers and corporations have struck the right balance between personal privacy, secure data, and compelling content and apps that emerge from consumer tracking and analytics. Consider the future of privacy in a broader social context. How will public norms about privacy be different in 2025 from the way they are now? Of the respondents, 55% said no, that will not happen, while 45% found this a reasonable outcome. They all agreed, however, that there is something inherently public about the Internet. Here are some of the quotes from experts (few hand picked , please see source links down below to go through over 90+ quotes) Here are a few more interesting quotes from the experts Pretty much a good topic for discussion, i think it's a good thing that viable people starting to recognize the amount of data being dumped over the interwebs & people not noticing how dangerous that is & don't think twice, already it's been too gargantuous & if it needs to be organized the data to be sifted through , all of it & set to be private, an impossible task as of now, But aside privacy concerns there needs to be oversight as well imo , using NSA was a good example (i know ) they were doing a pretty good job, but it's a touchy issue ,, unless people find a viable solution those kind of reforms are the only thing that is keeping the internet in control. i simply wish AI could take over this area(i could be wrong) for analyzing threats & they will have more refined fine precise control over it than actual people judging , because those judgement can/could/will be biased (human nature) What are your opinions & thoughts on this issue? Post 'em down below... 2. apple Apple Inc has pushed out its first-ever automated security update to Macintosh computers to help defend against newly identified bugs that security researchers have warned could enable hackers to gain remote control of machines. When Apple has released previous security patches, it has done so through its regular software update system, which typically requires user intervention.the critical security issue in the network time protocol (NTP) has prompted Apple to push an automatic OS X update for the first time ever. NTP is used for synchronizing clocks on computer systems.an attacker could possibly send a carefully crafted packet that can overflow a stack buffer and allow malicious code to be executed better late than never post your comments down beloeeeeew Link: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/12/23/us-apple-cybersecurity-idUSKBN0K108W20141223

  4. instanot Boom! InstaLoss , The Move from instagram widely known as "Instagram Rapture" made the move to Clean-up of fake accounts, This obviously caused some stir-up & causes follower counts to drop overnight , since most of the "followers " for the given account was actually either spam bots or Fake accounts created by user or "other users" . . Since Instagram's efforts are sitewide, even ordinary people's follower counts are affected..No account has lost more users than Instagram’s own main account. More than 29 % of Instagram’s followers that is 18.9 million users were purged, purges will be more continuous as fake or spam accounts are deleted said Gabe Madway an Instagram spokesman, the company is deleting all the accounts it had previously designated as “spammy” from the follower counts of its users. And for some high-profile accounts, a lot of users have been vaporized. Here are some of the notable losses , Drum Roll please.. Instagram Followers Lost : 18,880,211 (29.4400%) Justin Bieber Followers Lost : 3,538,228 (14.8555%) kim kardashian Loss: 1,300,963 (5.5315%) Barack Obama Loss: 213,050 (5.7239%) Beyonce Loss: 831,971 (3.7463%) Harry Styles 819,775 ( 8.0409%) One Direction 530,092 (6.9955%) Selena gomez 1,116,032 ( 5.7020%) The Rock 222,971 (3.5618%) Chrisbrownofficial 521,781 (7.6439%) Camposwell 3,284,304 (59.6067%) Lady gaga 367,924 (7.3475%) Floydmayweather 291,319 (6.2956%) Akon 2,459,246 (56.2032%) Snoop dogg 254,059 (6.0614%) Pharrell williams 165,937 (3.8553%) Elliegoulding 174,206 (4.3465%) Miley cyrus 711,898 (5.0335%) Britneyspears 164,897 (4.2179%) Adrianalima 136,988 (3.5341%) Nicki minaj 485,299 (3.9014%) iamdiddy 1,049,683 (22.4861%) 9gag 119,811 (1.4089%) 50cent 205,838 (5.3333%) Real madrid 158,726 (2.8748%) Gopro 93,869 (2.5113%) & The Winner is.. Chiragchirag 3,660,460 (99.9998%) Chiragchirag78 who plummeted from more than 3 million followers to exactly eight.Chiragchirag78's Instagram account no longer exists. Instagram said last week that it had 300 million monthly active users, excluding the spam accounts that were just zapped. As you saw above celebrities took the biggest hit , millions of followers vanished over a day. The singer Justin Bieber lost 3.5 million fans, or 15% of his total (baby baby oooohh), . Kim Kardashian lost 1.3 million followers now that's an ass load of people (ba dum tiss) Also Akon Lost over Half of his follower Pretty bold move from the site, necessary action i guess , Wonder how much followers Linus lost in his main account , What are your thoughts on this? 6. https everywhere Google is proposing to warn people their data is at risk every time they visit websites that do not use the "HTTPS" system. The proposal was made by the Google developers working on the search firm's Chrome browser. Currently only about 33% of websites use HTTPS, according to statistics gathered by the Trustworthy Internet Movement which monitors the way sites use more secure browsing technologies. there are three basic transport layer security states for web origins: Secure (valid HTTPS, other origins like (*, localhost, *)); Dubious (valid HTTPS but with mixed passive resources, valid HTTPS with minor TLS errors); Non-secure (broken HTTPS, HTTP). HTTPS uses well-established cryptographic systems to scramble data as it travels from a user's computer to a website and back again. Letting people know when their connection to a website is insecure could drive sites to adopt more secure protocols,In the short term, the biggest headache is likely to be faced by website operators who will feel forced to migrate unencrypted HTTP websites to encrypted HTTPS Firefox's Browser based warning system this will be a very useful function if gets implemented , what are your thoughts on this? post your comments & rants down below.. 8. A Bugs Life.. Damn Humans.. Dr. Alper Bozkurt and Matt Shipman Two researchers from iBionics (soon to be sewed by apple) labs North Carolina State University are experimenting a quite unique way of searching for survivors. The medium involves two subjects to function, an insectobot connected to a small, audio-sensing cyborg harness & our faithful beloved mini flying drone or a controlled flying moths.. How do they work: First thing is the roaches which carry microphone that can capture high-resolution sound from any direction to be wireless transmitted is set free into the rubble, Following that a mini drone or a similarly controlled flying moth is set loose & it hovers over space where the signal is being send from , idea is to let loose these critters over a disaster area where they can crawl down the nooks & crannies of the rubble where rescuers have a hard time reaching the victims , where as the bugs can reach & locates the helpless victim & can help target the rescuers efficiently & save a heck of a lot time reaching the victims.. The microphone essentially captures sound waves from from victims who are in pain or use the high resolution audio throughput to analyze the breathing noises from an unconscious victim & as in an echolocation it nears its distance towards the victim Mean while the same time the drone that is flying above follows the critters path & hovers over the exact same spot & afterwards it has reached near the victims exact location it sends out a confirmation signal & rescuers can get to them in time Video Demo! hi I'm a Pc & I'm a Mac The researchers have also created a sort of invisible fence that keeps bugs within a rescue area by controlling their motions. They are also adding solar power cells so they can work autonomously for days at a time. so they just don't wander off after they'd been released.. Video Demo of invisible fence: It's amazing to see technology becoming so small & very efficient at the same time that it can be made useful for these kinds of situation or could even be used for more espionage Leave a comment or rant or even a troll down beloooooooooww.. 9. Safe Search Finallly Google officials are in talks in developing a Kids safe version of their ever popular search engine , The site is mainly aimed for Kids that are 12 & Below, The News Comes courtesy of USA today with an interview with Googles VP of engineering, who is being tasked with leading Google's upcoming initiative to make their suite of products, from Gmail to YouTube into a more kid friendly user experience. beginning next year 2015 the tech giant plans to create specific versions of its most popular products for those 12 and younger. The most likely candidates are those that are already popular with a broad age group, such as search, YouTube and Chrome. Google will make them safe for children 12 years old and younger and give parents tools to oversee their kids' actions the Google search engine isn't remotely the same as an adult's. (nope duh) Controversy may well follow in the wake of Google's drive. While tech companies are always seeking out new markets, which in turn expand their user base and ultimately drive up revenue, traditionally kids younger than 13 have been off limits. company expects some controversy over the change, but that kids are already using Google's non-kid-friendly technology. Pavni Diwanji VP google What also is being worked out are the ways in which parents will be able to oversee their child's interactions with Google's technologies, perhaps limiting usage to set time frames. "We want to lay the foundation right, and then make sure every single part of Google is great for kids. They are the future, so why not give them the tools to let them create it." Pretty exciting news imo, Google haven't yet announced which specific items they are working on or the timeline line only that the search engine & browser & it's current active services such as google chrome , image search & YouTube are confirmed, What are your thoughts on this? 10. Watch out Ubisoft..There's a new digger in town.. PS4 Users have been complaining about shareplay being disabled for COD:AW , at first it was rumored to be a region specific lock, Later sources have revealed that this is just all out worldwide block on shareplay for COD :AW , Share Play is apparently blocked out entirely, regardless of region. Users who try to share the play with a friend will get a message that says the following: “The host’s game screen is not displayed because the current scene is a blocked scene for Share Play. Wait until the blocked scene is finished.” Activision representative gave this statement to 'polygon' website who made an inquiry to the cause of it being blocked.. Sony designed the feature so certain elements of games such as the licensed music or a game cutscenes that can spoil the game game plot for the user could be blocked, so that it would not cause any problems with the industry with copyright slaps from higher up the ladder, but Activision seems to be the first company to block an entire game. According to an interview with a sony representative Share Play access is completely at the mercy of developers. Its their choice, and it's very probable that Call of Duty won't be the last game to block the feature What is SharePlay? (a detailed look) Share Play allows two PS4 owners to play the same single copy of a game over the Internet. The owner is designated as the host, and can stream gameplay footage to a guest console. The host can relinquish control of the game to the guest too, effectively giving another user the chance to play without paying. Sony added Share Play to the PS4 in system software update 2.0 which went out last week While Share Play is limited to sixty minutes per session, users can return to the mode immediately after the time ends. There is no cap on Share Play sessions either, meaning that a game can effectively be shared indefinitely. Game publishers and developers already have the ability to restrict the PS4's Share button functionality or block it altogether. For example, video shared from NBA 2K14 includes no sound, because the game uses licensed music, Also sharing can be disabled for cutscenes that a developer considers to contain spoilers. On top of that not all games will be able to support shareplay.. Activision says that Share Play might not be blocked indefinitely Regardles of this being a PS4 issues, Youtube gamers who upload gamplay footage or walthrough have been receiving notifications for uploading videos containing gameplay from activisions COD:AW with a copyright takedown notice, there was guy in here like yesterday who made a thread specifically on this takedown as a rant.. watch out Ubisoft, You got competition.. 11. The Android Man has left the building.. According to Wall street journal , Andy Rubin Is Leaving Google , Starting an Incubator for Startups Interested in Building Technology-Hardware Products , Andy Rubin, the co-founder and former leader of Android who switched recently to Google's robotics division, Rubin was Android’s leader from its inception in 2003, through its acquisition by Google in 2005, until Rubin was moved out of Android in 2013. During that time, he shepherded Android from its tiny startup days to the world’s most popular mobile operating system. Andy Rubin is considered the father of android.. Rubin is the co-founder and former CEO of both Danger Inc. & Android.Inc. When Rubin left Android, he was replaced by Sundar Pichai, who already oversaw Chrome and Apps. Larry handed oversight of most of Google’s products to Pichai last week. Rubin moved to Google’s robotics division, where he oversaw robotics companies that Google owned, like Boston Dynamics. Google confirmed the departure to us with a prepared statement from Google CEO Larry Page: “I want to wish Andy all the best with what’s next. With Android he created something truly remarkable with a billion plus happy users. Thank you.” At Google as head of Android, Rubin was known for insulating the Android team from the rest of Google maintaining it like a separate company inside the search giant. The Android group had its own lunchroom within the Google campus, for instance. Rubin sold his Android company to Google in 2005, heading up its development until March 2013 , He left Apple in 1992 and went on to set up Danger, maker of the SideKick-branded smartphones later acquired by Microsoft, and Android in 2003. Google co-founders Page and Sergey Brin bought Android in 2005 without telling Eric Schmidt, then the chief executive of the search giant, He spent five years working on Google’s self-driving car project and more than seven years at Carnegie Mellon. Flavors of android... After Rubin left his work on Android, he retreated into Google’s more experimental arm, helping run the company’s robotics efforts a focus that lines up with his new direction with hardware startups. Rubin’s background originally was in hardware. Before Google, Rubin worked at Apple, and then co-founded the device maker Danger, but he left a half decade before it was acquired by Microsoft. He then went on to co-found Android with Rich Miner in 2003. Google acquired Android in 2005. Andy Rubins career path (cortesy wiki) Carl Zeiss AG, robotics engineer, 1986–1989. 12. Do you even rift bro? Oculus VR CEO Brendan Iribe said at a conference in Ireland today that the current developer model, code-named Crescent Bay, is "largely finalized for a consumer product." Brendan Iribe (Oculus CEO) Iribe says the company has changed significantly since it was acquired by Facebook in March. Operating as an independent subsidiary, Oculus has grown from 75 people to over 200 employees and now operates a separate R&D division. Alright , Here's the kicker to this, When he said months , he meant technically, 23 months , By that it would qualify as "many months" but "not years." <_< technically it's 2 years The big challenge remains developing an effective input device. Iribe says keyboards, mice and gamepads aren’t up to the job and neither is gesture-control at this point When on the interview where he was asked about the threat of rival VR products, Iribe said his main concern is choppy implementation of the VR technology So when asked that when would Oculus felt that it would be ready to launch to consumers? ibre responded “We’ve gone out there and set this bar,We want to get it right,We don’t want it to be four or five years. We’re eager for this to happen.” pretty good news update imo, What do you think? Leave your comments rants & Thoughts down belowwwwwwww.. 13. Reach out to those in pain.. The Crowd-funding site Indiegogo has launched a new site separate from their original campaign site dedicated just for humanitarian cause that people can use to help those who are in need.. Basically it's a charity fund that is used to help those who are in need , The service is called Indiegogo Life. together.. Since this being a charitable target , the site creators aren't charging extra for the cause funding , While successfully funded campaigns on Indiegogo are charged a fee of 4 percent if they use PayPal or 9 percent if they don’t, Indiegogo Life won’t charge any platform fees. Recently our beloved Tech of tommorow Host Elric Phares was in the campaign where he's being treated for diabetes & got his second leg amputated & his friends have been active in it to bring him some help via the crowd funding.. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/support-elric-phares the money you collect is typically what you'll keep. The categories available on Indiegogo life are medical needs, emergencies, celebrations, memorials, pets & animals, faith, sports, volunteer efforts and education. Indiegogo says the new service also features a new campaign setup process that’s faster than before and access to community building tools. cue sarah mclachlan With that being said, Indiegogo currently do not verify the campaigns <_< put up on the site, Which means that there is quite a large possibility of scamming cases , So think before you actually make a decision to give support, but do do that with caution as well..The site has also launched an app for the crowd-funding campaign. 17. Who da bauss? it's been a while since audio products from Bose was removed from Apple in-stores & online stores Now it's confirmed that they will be back on the apple stores later next year(UPDATE :Maybe available early before this christmas) , While Apple's Beats label and Bose are fierce competitors, the Bose name remains a big draw for customers. Apple and Bose appear to have worked out disagreements as it was confirmed that their headphones & speakers will be featured back on Apple stores later next year..Bose-branded products disappeared from Apple’s website on October 17th without explanation from either party involved Bose Soundlink 3 Bose’s return to Apple’s retail stores follows a hiatus that lasted over a month in which the high-quality headphones and speakers were pulled from both Apple’s online and retail stores without explanation. Good move from apple i guess, but on a flipsyde apple may or maynot have bought them back just to boost profits regarding beats , although these are being sold along with Beats it's profit for them anyways.. recent friction between apple & Bose was the advertising agreement between Bose and the NFL, by which resulted in players appearing on camera during events with the popular Beats headphones being fined creating more contention between Apple’s Beats and Bose. 18. we are the champions..wait, that's the other 'queen'.. on the 5th December in a landmark judgement on the compatibility of the regimes which govern GCHQ’s interception of communications and receipt of information from foreign partners, with the European Convention on the right to privacy and freedom of speech. The IPT, a judicial body which investigates and determines complaints against the UK intelligence agencies, reached its findings after a series of open and closed hearings. Amnesty UK's legal advisor Rachel Logan said the government had "managed to bluff their way out of the case" by "retreating into closed hearings and constantly playing the 'national security' card". The case was brought against HMG by a range of non-governmental organisations, following the leaks of stolen information by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden. They include Privacy, Liberty and Amnesty International, alongside a number of other non UK based bodies. One of the prominent case was about Webcam watching ,The Privacy International pressure group had said the documents released by Mr Snowden detailed the many ways that GCHQ was spying on people, many of which violated the European Convention on Human Rights. the civil rights advocates that filed the complaint (including Amnesty UK, Liberty and Privacy International) aren't happy with this verdict. They plan to appeal the decision with the European Court itself, The Tribunal agrees that unchecked mass data collection would be illegal, but contends that the ways GCHQ selects and preserves that data are reasonable The IPT’s further findings are as follows: Developments in communications technology have not made any of the provisions within RIPA ambiguous or unfit for purpose No difference of view as to the precise definition of external communications causes the RIPA 8(4) regime to be unlawful There is no inadequacy in the section 16 safeguards within RIPA as alleged by the claimants the RIPA 8(4) regime is not discriminatory Five senior legal professionals concluded that the legal regimes governing the interception of communications under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) 2000 are lawful and compliant with Articles 8 (right to privacy) and 10 (freedom of expression) of the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR). Similarly, it concluded that the arrangements governing the receipt of intercept from foreign partners are lawful and meet the requirements of Articles 8 and 10 of the ECHR. These legal regimes were found to contain adequate and effective safeguards aimed at protecting privacy rights. in a way it's a good move , but there should be an oversight with executive power to it if things go wrong or the wrong people gets their hands on it.but it's already been done i think What are your thoughts on this? leave your rant & comments down belooooooooooooooow Bonus: Link: http://www.engadget.com/2014/12/08/judges-rule-uk-spying-legal/
  19. You've got mail. Now that's a huge text message On December 3, 1992, Neil Papworth sent the worlds first ever text via short message service . His 15 character missive ‘merry christmas’ was sent to colleague Richard Jarvis..Since then the technique was adapted & popularised by public medium as a must for day to day communication, A personal computer was used to type in the text since mobile phones at that time didn’t have keyboards.. Today, an estimated 2,500 text messages are sent every second in Canada alone. Origin of the SMS Hillebrand who was the chairman of the non-voice services committee for the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) was tasked with developing a technology capable of transmitting, receiving and displaying text messages. The limited bandwidth available on wireless networks, which at the time were the sole reserve of car phones, Friedhelm Hillebrand Hillebrand and his team had to find a data pipeline capable of sending short messages across all cellular carriers and to all mobile phones.the idea of harnessing an existing radio channel that was already used to alert cellphones about reception strength. They tested that it could send 160 characters, but wasn't convinced that no-one ever going to send more than 160 characters Friedhelm Hillebrand found that most complete sentences and questions ran around 160 characters, So thus the standard (old) .Now a days mobile devices support larger & much diverse ways to send a message.. Early GSM handsets did not support SMS, and when they began to, the protocol was only used to inform recipients of a voicemail. It took a further seven years for cross-network SMS to become available.SMS nearly didn’t happen. It was so slow out of the gate, it threatened to simply give up and head back to the stable. During the 90s and early 2000s, teenagers adopted the technology in turn escalated it's popularity among their generation The original Nokia phone beep was actually Morse code for “SMS.” Texting is so popular that among adults aged 26-35 only 1 out of every 10 people would prefer to meet up face-to-face rather than send a text message , Annual text traffic is expected to reach 9.4 trillion by 2016. Flipsyde: Here's a different perspective at things, Texting maybe very useful for everyone But sometimes people take it too far & it has it's "side-effects" it has accounted for numerous fatality on road while texting & driving , Drivers in their 20s make up 27% of the distracted drivers in fatal crashes according to NHTSA move bitch.. get out the waay.. get out the way bitch.. With that out of the way..Here are some fun facts: Teenager Marcel Fernandes Filho recently became the world’s fastest texter by writing this message in 18.19 seconds with the text “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human” go & try that.. Texting is so popular that among adults aged 26-35 only 1 out of every 10 people would prefer to meet up face-to-face rather than send a text message. 63% of teens text on a daily basis, with some sending as many as 100 text messages per day. British surgeon David Nott performed a life-saving operation on a teenage boy in the Congo. He had never done the surgery before few in the world had but he pulled it off by receiving text message instructions on the procedure from a colleague. Research shows that elementary school students who text are actually better spellers than their students who don’t text. (AFAIK / YOLO/ SWAG) Neils paperworth Neils paperworth was 22 years old at the time of the inaugural text, working as a software engineer for the British company Vodafone to improve pager and cellphone messaging systems at a time when few people even carried cellphones. Richard Jarvis the person who he was sending the message to was at a Vodaphone Christmas party Pretty cool news Imo, Post your thoughts on this down below... 21. Under the Lime Lights... North Korea has denied any rumors that it had taken part in the massive sony hack, North Korean state-run media KCNA applauded the attack. North Korea's response was riddled with anti-U.S. and anti-South Korean rhetoric. The statement didn't outright say the North Korean government was not responsible. But KCNA called North Korean involvement "a wild rumor" and the government suggested it couldn't be behind a cyberattack on "a country far across the ocean." why wasn't this one leaked? Experts point to several signs of North Korean involvement. They say there are similarities between the malware used in this attack and that from a different cyber blitz against South Korea. Both were written in Korean, an unusual language in the world of cyber crime. Also few celebrity infos were leaked recently with their personal info's for a few Television stars & movie screen actors such as Seth Rogen is getting paid more than James Franco. 22. For Some of us High speed camera means 120fps to 240 fps on our smart phones & those who are used to professional camera maybe 1000 fps to 6000fps & even more enthusiastics it can heave upto 10,000fps & even going further it can come to 100,000 fps to the max!! Guess what?.. Scientist have developed technique where a single-shot compressed ultrafast photography is taken at one hundred billion frames per second That is 100000000000 fps. The Technique is called compressed ultrafast photography (CUP) & it's a two-dimensional dynamic imaging technique, Don't Blink.. The Camera is , as you guessed is not an ordinary camera but a specialy designed industrial strength high-speed camera. The Purpose for the camera build is for to track light as it travels and interacts with objects , so nor regular time warp application Researchers used the technique to explore phenomenas such as how light reflects and refracts, as well as how photons behave when transitioning from one medium to another One of the purposes for the build is to Study Invisibility Cloaks, you heard that right , The camera is so fast that it can actually capture light in it's path (in 2d) what they plan to do with t the technology is to study how light intereacts & behaves on & around certain object , by learning that they can research into light interactive fabric that can behave that can bend around fabric making the object literally invisible to the naked eye.. Soon this could be a reality.. CUP System Configuration: camera setup Explanation of the image above: With CUP, the photons necessary to take an image are blasted through a beam splitter and then through a tube that has several tiny mirrors. These photons are converted into electrons, which encode the data you want captured namely the time and space data necessary to create an image. All of this happens in one billionth of a second, and the data can then be arranged into a video on a computer Strictly speaking this is not the fastest camera in the world still..the fastest in the world as of now can capture images upto trillionth frames per second that camera was able to capture stunning picture of heat conduction, but that had so many limitations unlike this one. if only it could capture images in this 3d format The technology is impressive and quite complex. Previous cameras could record at roughly a billion frames a second, but could only do so in one dimension that meant you could measure space or time, but not both. And it was slower, anyway. Compared with existing ultrafast imaging techniques, CUP has the prominent advantage of measuring an x–y–t (x, y, spatial coordinates & t is time) scene with a single camera snapshot, thereby allowing observation of transient events with temporal resolution as tens of picoseconds. Furthermore, akin to traditional photography, CUP is receive-only, and so does not need the specialized active illumination required by other single-shot ultrafast images Captured ultra fast image of a laser beam shot into different medium: By the way PS equals picoseconds ie One trillionth (10^-12) of a second. Expalnation: Figure A: laser beam light reflecting/bouncing from the mirror (the mirror is drawn into the image to show the placement) Figure B shows the beam going through different medium(refracting) air into clear resin. Figure C shows Difference in travel speed between the laser beam in different mediums ..(racing) Video demo for figure A: (mirror reflection) Video for the Figure B: (Air to clear resin) Given CUP’s capability, The team expect to find widespread applications in both fundamental and applied sciences, including biomedical research. Pretty cool stuff, Would be cool to see how the technology is implied, pretty interesting...What are your Thoughts/opinions on this? Post your comments down below for us to read.. 23. illuminatti Iran's telecommunications minister has said his technicians are developing a system to identify any Internet user in the country at the moment of log-on The minister did not provide further details about how this would work, or the timing for when this system would be turned on. (duh, already is) The smart filtering services would be rolled out in phases, the ISNA reported, with services being turned on in one, three and six months. This is not the first time that Iran has been in the news for technology to ID users. In 2012, it was reportedly testing a service that would be used in public places, specifically Internet cafes (a popular way of going online in Iran, where about 30 million of its 75 million citizens use the Internet), that would require users to log in to use services. Iran has in the past denied that it was working on such services, although it has, ultimately, continued to work on ways to restrict Internet access. Either ways A recent study found that 69% (#pun) of young users use illegal software to bypass official restrictions.
