  1. Whats the proper alternative for a PSU with no single 8 pin plug for a GPU power? (150-180~ish watts tdp) is it a 6+2 pin combo 6 pin to 8 pin adapter a molex to 8 pin adapter Others which one is safer or are they all safe? post your recommendations , Thanks
  2. According to some recent new site & accompanying twitter reports from various users, there was this hilarious misshapen with a christmas carol service arrangement, the organizers without reviewing the contents grabs what they thought was the traditional lyrics to the Song "Hail Mary" copied the infamous rapper Tupac Shakurs vulgar song lyrics & Printed em out & handed over to the churches christmas carol service Strike the heart of killers & snitches , gratta ta ta ta ta taa ta tah tah The mistaken Hail Mary appeared in more than 1000 programmes for the event and images have gone viral across Sri Lankan Social Media Sources: https://www.pedestrian.tv/news/arts-and-culture/christmas-carol-service-accidentally-publishes-2pa/dc932dfd-78f9-4d6c-b795-29aa0aac6ed3.htm http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/christmas/christmas-carol-service-accidentally-prints-tupac-shakurs-hail-mary/news-story/3bee56570573804db0511dea5ffe5758 https://twitter.com/JANTONIO/status/809149542964678656/photo/1
  3. Would love to see this feature as in some other sites started using it , also would love to see something Christmas~y Plus another suggestion on mice pointer modified as like Dennis with a Santa hat or a sparky stuff like that , Any of this possible?
  4. The name itself is a terror! Researchers at security firm Compay called "CheckPoint Software Technologies" have uncovered a new malware that has allegedly affected over a million andoid devices upto this day, The attack campaign, named Gooligan, breached the security of over one million Google accounts. The number continues to rise at an additional 13,000 breached devices each day. Gooligan strain has infected nearly 1.3 million Android phone since August. The threat seems to be in a subtle nature, but still pretty harsh, taken they haven't breached into personal private files & used it as ransom , it seems a more pure ad revenue oriented attack like a p.u.p or p.h.a , the primary focus of the malware seems to be a massive advertising campaign The module allows Gooligan to: Steal a user’s Google email account and authentication token information Install apps from Google Play and rate them to raise their reputation Install adware to generate revenue Once installed, the infected apps root the devices to gain system access of devices. The rooted devices then download and install a software that steals authentication tokens. These tokens allow the attackers to access the user’s Google-related account without having to enter a password. The tokens work with a number of Google services, including Docs, Gmail, Drive, and Photos. How does Gooligan work? The infection begins when a user downloads and installs a Gooligan-infected app on a vulnerable Android device. Our research team has found infected apps on third-party app stores, but they could also be downloaded by Android users directly by tapping malicious links in phishing attack messages. After an infected app is installed, it sends data about the device to the campaign’s Command and Control (C&C) server. Gooligan then downloads a rootkit from the C&C server that takes advantage of multiple Android 4 and 5 exploits including the well-known VROOT (CVE-2013-6282) and Towelroot (CVE-2014-3153). These exploits still plague many devices today because security patches that fix them may not be available for some versions of Android, or the patches were never installed by the user. If rooting is successful, the attacker has full control of the device and can execute privileged commands remotely. After achieving root access, Gooligan downloads a new, malicious module from the C&C server and installs it on the infected device. This module injects code into running Google Play or GMS (Google Mobile Services) to mimic user behavior so Gooligan can avoid detection Below shown are the 2 examples of reviews left by users who were also found on the attacker’s records as victims User ! If your account has been breached, the following steps are required: A clean installation of an operating system on your mobile device is required (a process called “flashing”). As this is a complex process, we recommend powering off your device and approaching a certified technician, or your mobile service provider, to request that your device be “re-flashed.” Change your Google account passwords immediately after this process. Android security engineer Adrian Ludwig said the team was working closely with Check Point to investigate the Android malware family and to protect users. Ludwig claimed there was no evidence data was accessed from the compromised accounts, adding that users would receive a warning when such a malware strain was detected on their devices. 5. Pew Pew Pew Some of you might have seen this already, Anyways, A company called DroneShield Based in Sydney and Virginia have made a badass loking anti-drone 'weapon' or tool that can take down a drone from a very moderate distance/range that can reduce damage & neutralize target before it comes in close range to be a serious threat Fun fact : Sh**s Illegal at this moment as it hasnt been approved by Government officials for field usage by civilians , It's not FCC-certified , making it illegally to operate one in the US (Ooooh Miss Jackson) Unless it's specified from the US Government for its official use(it means Yup they have stocks of this) Soon hollywood officials will be operating these So far we'ce seen systems like a larger drone with a net that catches the mini drone, Even a falcon that's been trained to catch them, this has been like a really good ergonomic & futuristic looking solution i've see so far With Drone shield Devastating grave threats like these can be terminated with ease This kinda reminded me of this scene from The Dark Knight Rises The system is made for portability & can be carried & deployed & handled by a single user, power source can be placed inside a backpack , Like other anti drone tech , it works as a signal jammer that disables drone signals (including GPS and GLONASS positioning) from as far as upto 1.2 miles away. The system weighs around 13 pounds , so it's not light by any means , it either disables or activates go home function where it returns to the drown owner & potentially identifying the culprit , the jammer doesn't suddenly disable the drone & make it crash but lets it glide down to land safely so it can be inspected later by forensics The system in combination with this drone detector in a field is very efficient & effective tool Heres the Cheezy Ad Demo Video The system can come in handy for law enforcement & soldiers in the field that deal with things like drugs smuggling & eavesdropping & potential threat package from afar without it being a risk , Very useful near airports, private events, hostile places & borders Post Your thoughts & critisims in the comments down below Sources: https://www.droneshield.com/dronegun https://www.engadget.com/2016/11/28/droneshield-anti-drone-gun/
  6. Nick named the 'Mechanical Pixels’ , unlike regular LED pixels which takes in electricity & it it self emit varying range of color , with the help of LED backlighting, this display surface does it without needing a electrical source to start working, it works under a whole new principle , principle of takes advantage of Graphene bubbles(doing the job of representing pixels)under certain conditions alter their balloon-like structures which acts like pixels to emit visible color range , it currently it works only on reflected light (light source isis indirectly ) Lemme list some cons i saw the color changes have only been observed under a microscope resulting pixels are too small (10nm), that hundreds of thousands would be needed to create even a tiny image expensive to manufacture graphene samples at a greater size you cannot get clean colors like pure red or pure blue yet Method to control pressure inorder to achieve the image is still under works Light source dependent , cannot be viewed on a dark environment Now the Pros New display technology pixel size is really small , meaning seriously fine details can be brought up with high clarity Power consumption reduction New ergonomic designs for adaptive display tech , maybe restrictive but consistent image display non reliable on electricity & artificial backlighting , far smoother image transmission as in real life like if used with temperature/pressure instead of electricity (possible death of refresh rates if properly implied??) Research was done in collaborative effort from researchers at TU Delft, Netherlands, and Graphenea, Spain, as part of the Graphene Flagship have found a new way to create mechanical pixels using tiny balloon-like structures which do not emit light themselves but are visible in sunlight, could lead to energy-efficient colour displays that can be used in devices such as e-books and smart watches hopefully in e-papers . Video (virtual demo) The production of color can be influenced by pressure , By applying a pressure difference across the graphene membranes, the perceived/produced color of the graphene can be shifted continuously manipulated. This effect can be exploited in order to create different colored pixels imagine picture frame not requiring any/very few power to be visible (cort: some HarryPotter gif i thought would be relative) How it works, The above shown image(to your left) are cavities that are of the size of 1/1000th diameter of a human hair(these are spread over a mirror like surface like a pixel arrangement parallel & organized), these are covered with 2 layers of graphene (suspended membrane) & due to pressure difference the top one is exhibiting visible color change just due to pressure difference alone, this can be amplified & changed & dampened according to your liking , mind you these color changed after a while under the same pressure, this was later identified caused due to pressure difference inside & outside those cavity being shifted due to regular conditions & Light interference assisted the color change constructively & destructively (resulting in varying range of color) Each of these pixels (mechanical pixels) could be moved (shifting image boundary) by using pressure or temperature , The researchers hope to have a screen prototype for the Mobile World Conference 2017 in Barcelona. This seems promising for me, if they actually make this thing work in a real world environment Sources: http://www.tudelft.nl/en/current/latest-news/article/detail/delftse-onderzoekers-creeren-bij-toeval-nieuwe-energie-efficiente-mechanische-pixels/ http://www.theverge.com/2016/11/24/13740946/dutch-scientists-use-color-changing-graphene-bubbles-to-create-mechanical-pixels
  7. Welcome to the WCCF Salt mine tour, Please keep your arms & Legs & head inside the salt-mines ride at all times The Upcoming series of intel CPU's are promising real gems , the new line up for the first time is putting out one of its i-3 version of the mainstream entry level cpu with it's cores unlocked! The Intel Core i3 7350K benchmark scores have been leaked from a source & it looks promising , The new chip is aimed at a better gaming budget platform & looking at this results it is supposed to be as powerful as an unlocked i5 from previous years The Core i3 7350K is to run at 4.2GHz speed out of the box These scores when compared to the previous generation i5-6400 score of 9982 & i5-4670K score of 10036 promises a significant performance bump if it's true in a real world scenario http://browser.primatelabs.com/v4/cpu/1107343 i3-7350K has a dual-core with four threaded processor with a base clock of 4.0GHz that can be boost up to 4.2GHz, 4MB of L3 cache and a TDP of 91 watts. The CPU is allegedly going for a retail price of $177-$180 range according to some sites, expect to pay a minimum of that The i7 & i5 Lineup specs sheet Core i7-7700K Core i5-7600K Process 14nm Plus 14nm Plus cores: 4 4 Threads: 8 4 Base clock speed: 4.2GHz 3.8GHz Max clock speed: 4.5GHz 4.2GHz L3 cache: 8MB 6MB Max power draw: 91 watts 91 watts socket: LGA 1151 LGA 1151 Price: $350 $240 Something with a performance ticks like this was introduced back on the intels anniversary edition pentium processor G3258 Pentium Anniversary cpu which managed to be seriously budget friendly & delivered good enough gaming performance for budget users when it came to gaming , some alleged it to reach near AMD's thingamagig numbers like 5ghz This is the only leaked benchmark i could find on the site so far, will update soon , The AMD's beast of a CPU code named zen is to be out this January , would be interesting to see this going head to head with it, Thanks for visiting the salt mines , Leave Your thoughts, Comments & Concerns down there Source: http://wccftech.com/intel-preparing-unlocked-i3-7350k-42ghz-dual-core-cpu/

The government of Ecuador confirmed on Tuesday that it had decided “to temporarily restrict access” to the internet inside its embassy in London, effectively cutting off Julian Assange the editor of Wikileaks, who has lived there since he was granted political asylum in 2012. The action was carried out by state level intervention intentionally to disrupt communications The internet restriction was applied over fears that he was using it to interfere in the US presidential election. Assange later responded through his twitter that they have activated the appropriate contingency plans << Painfully accurate image its a two sided game , there's pretty much more than equal amounts of shit being thrown at each candidates to make the other look less dirty, mind the fact it's a politician vs non-politician thing , but like someone said actual crime doesnt matter , you know the game , basic see-saw distraction , one of e goes down the other one goes up. The statement also reaffirmed the asylum granted to Assange and reiterated its intention “to safeguard his life and physical integrity until he reaches a safe place”. Meaning their primary priority is to well being , maybe they made a temporary restriction to address an essential ongoing trade it's not the photograph with the hand in the cookie jar that matters, it's the one who took the picture , that's the real crookie criminal Wikileaks most recently leaks include emails hacked from the Gmail account of the Clinton campaign chairman, John Podesta, which included partial transcripts of paid speeches Clinton gave to Wall Street bankers after her tenure as secretary of state. At the end of the day it's basic politics , doesn't matter if it's truth or lie, people believe in what they want to believe promises , they will adhere to whoever provides most reasonable answers to their current problems , people use this whole shibangabang to throw in whatever they have to win , whether is Trump supporter or Clinton supporter , we're seeing how aggressive things are turning into, there's a difference between grounded hard evidence vs emotional jolting accusation , what to believe , depends on the persons history of influences , translates into what you see nowadays Russian president responded vaguely to the rumor that Russian influence in the hacking attempt (English subtitled) Mini Transcript : President Vladmir Putin : " In ANY event , we will work with any US leader , whoever that leader is, What are we witnessing? Some hacker published information about the unseemly conduct of Mrs.Clinton's campaign headquarters , supporting one candidate for the party nomination at the expense of the other , Hysterical accusations that this is in Russia's interests , They freak out about it to distract the attention of the American people from the importance of what was published by the hackers , The importance is that public opinion is being manipulated , but nobody talks about it ( US/international media) , Everyone is talking about who did it? , But is it so important who did it? , What is important is the content of this information " isnt it kinda weird mainstream/general media is criticizing wikileaks journalism , the stuff actual media journalism is supposed to do? but that's a thought for you to think through Even a bigger issue is that wiki leaks have had a copy of their encrypted but uncensored database in all it's fury out available for public with a deadmans switch , which in case of his somewhat mysterious death or restriction to access of Julian assange , a decryption key would be released & be made available publicly from multiple sources (this guys probably still alive because of this) , it was reported the switch wasn't pulled due to the delay in access from him online, for the time being & the sensitive data is still encrypted Recently the Russian international journalistic channel RT was restricted from withdrawing funds from British bank accounts, But the British bank has denied reports it closed the UK accounts of RT , assuming it was an indirect pressured response from the political influence connecting tho this, Most probably a response to Email hacking accusations Sources: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/ecuador-cuts-off-internet-access-for-wikileaks-founder-assange/2016/10/18/277281f6-95ac-11e6-9b7c-57290af48a49_story.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/19/ecuador-admits-cutting-julian-assanges-internet-access-over-impa/ https://theintercept.com/2016/10/18/ecuador-cuts-internet-access-julian-assange-preserve-neutrality-us-election/ https://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/oct/19/wikileaks-ecuador-julian-assange-internet-access http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-37680411 http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/10/wikileaks-ecuador-admits-cutting-assange-internet-161019055948619.html http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/19/world/europe/julian-assange-embassy.html?_r=0 http://gizmodo.com/ecuador-confirms-it-has-cut-off-julian-assanges-interne-1787949101 http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-cyber-wikileaks-idUSKBN12H2E9
  11. hey, i'm doing a researching into case modding & wanted to know a few things about clear side panels , Please answer the following (few or all) to the best of your knowledge , this generally meant from an outside modding perspective buying separate & working on it, not working on what case manufacturer already provides Types of clear panels that are available for consumers now clearest panel type that is good for visibility & their pro's & cons (plus other panels explained) main differences between glass/acrylic/tempered/plexi (visibility/malleability/strength/soundproof) risk factors in handling during build & long term use on different varieties (heat from components/mini vibrations/ extreme temperature changes/ visibility change overtime) Noise seeping from components (not sure if this is a thing but need to know if there's this issue varying from panel types) Preferred thickness for a PC Case (what's too much or too little) Can Glass be bent with non industry equipment using low key stuff like blow torch & alignments to mold into case design (if you know of any industry in your region please leave suggestions/links) Making a pc case with moderate majority of glass surface good or bad in your opinion? Hope you guys got what i meant , thanks for taking your time to read & reply
  12. Lets talk about hardware & software based data encryption, Since it's been a while since there has been a heavy debate over it, & we're kinda afar from the initial hype to see things a bit clearly , what do you feel about it at this point ? Topics to discuss ( pick one & put your view on the comment or just put up a general comment ) Access to any user encrypted data through the means of backdoor by the governing body upon request under nature of suspicion, is it Good or Bad in your opinion? Encrypted user data should be encrypted from all forms prying eyes government /hackers/3rdparty etc Data Encryption should be illegal as it can & will be used for bad things Data Encryption should be allowed to deter 3rd party access , but government should have a backdoor in place Allow encryption , But metadata should be allowed for view for government to deter threats Should be encrypted & Only allow data access with user consent along with court approval regardless of time taken & shouldn't be accessed otherwise if there's a break in that chain User shouldn't have right to conceal data since it could be threatening to the community/state/ethical standards/Espionage/Trade secrets Only Government registered employees should have the right to concrete level of hard encryption without any backdoor & shouldn't be made available to private use Government should have the right to backdoor regardless of the ethical reasons because bigger picture is more important & safety should be a priority Other Discussion points: Ethics of Government having a backdoor on hardware which can be used to access data depending on the nature of an event ( access after specific event has happened / a confirmed suspect data access) General Backdoor Access to authority to preemptive investigation in-order to deter threats or general (anytime open access to covertly scan & determine threats before it becomes harmful to a community/state/country) Should encryption & refusal to share confidential data to anyone be a 'right' for the wrong reasons? individual privacy vs government safety assurance You know how not to act, please discuss in a professional manner if possible, PS:New channel superfun video is up on ytb check it out

Dat ip-C4 rating doe Cold Water on that burnt area Samsung COO Tim Baxter President & COO of Samsung Electronics America issues video apology over Note7 battery issue through a personalized video to those who are affected & address those who still have the Note 7 in their possession to safely handle the device , the government and Samsung are both encouraging users to shut down and discontinue use of the phone and return it. Check if you have received the phone from a bad batch over here >> http://www.samsung.com/us/note7recall/ Sample image of a damaged note 7 that burned up the phone due to malfunctioned battery , Samsung had received 92 reports of batteries overheating in the US , including 26 reports of burns and 55 reports of property damage, including fires in cars and a garage. The issue according to Samsung was resolved by replacing te current battery with a newer one which clears off this issue completely & has been verified by a 3rd party independent lithium ion battery expert He also claimed that there had been close to a 130,000 note 7 exchanges that have already taken place (time of shooting the video) , Not sure if this resolves the FAA ban on all users that have a note 7 in their possession n the coming days, currently it's still banned fro in flight use & storage Sources: http://news.samsung.com/us/2016/09/15/samsung-replacement-note7-devices-as-part-of-voluntary-recall-president-tim-baxter-video-messaging/ http://techaeris.com/2016/09/16/samsung-coo-tim-baxter-issues-video-apology-note7/ http://www.droid-life.com/2016/09/16/president-coo-samsung-america-issues-formal-apology-video/ http://www.computerworld.com/article/3121109/smartphones/in-video-samsung-apologizes-over-note7-battery-defects.html
  14. What advice would You give Yourself if you could go back in time before you bought a hardware or made a wrong move while fixing something for yourself so that you buy the right thing or do the right thing? Post your replies below EG: Please Don't buy the microsoft headset & that nameless membrane keyboard Double check the hard drive power connector position before plugging it in forcibly Spend $20 more on the other GPU instead of buying this one
  15. Wonder if this is hard to implement , Drop down notifications stay the same indicating whatever , but in notifications page it gets organized into tabs, several according to quotes, likes, agree, tag, status reply, status new, thread reply etc all of them arranged in a forward timeline with a number indicator within the brackets reminding of how many unread Sounds a bit complex , but is it possible atleast regardless of the work that goes behind it?
  16. DatBitratedoe Altho no specs have been explicitly revealed, allegedly the Pro boasts an improved CPU, GPU, and greater memory bandwidth than its predecessors & it has a 1TB hard drive allegedly it has more than double the power of the PS4 GPU ,the new console will receive an updated, 4K-compatible YouTube app Microsoft has already released a slimmer iteration of the Xbox One that can play 4K videos, but it cannot render ultra-high definition games. Sony also said it would release a software upgrade to enable high dynamic range (HDR) on all editions of the PS4. 18. What do you have to say ? Post Your thoughts & comments down below.. #Rep'Lies' For much of the time, we rely on the good oll comment section & visual reviews(Youtube) & written reviews of a hardware product for our research purpose before we commit to buying a product, when you reserve your research criteria to "certain specifics" (first/best rated comment/popular reviewer/brand badge/site popularity & ranking) it seems to be always on the plus side mostly when it comes to certain popular companies (not naming any here & i'm not talking about a specific hardware) , Now i'm not talking about specifics , i mean as if a brand(new or old) product or a new hardware like a PC case is being pushed out as favorable by the majority (which in real world performance fails to reach that level of standard on what you saw or heard) When you broaden your research circle you get a lot more info that can be rather negative to what you've heard from the products earlier from the mainstream sometimes (example image of ) 5 star replies example feel as if the review reply sections are teeming with false reassurance of the product by seemingly "random" commenters from the internet , i feel like there's a legit foul play taking place when it comes to these areas , could be fixed review by an industry affiliate or company fed/payed reviewers , but if they even get a hold of 30-40%(rough estimate) of the entire reply as in representation of the product , it tends to mislead genuine buyers/researchers Samsung was caught up in a similar predicament last year or so when they hired people to write positive reviews for their phones who were being payed who had no experiences with the product , common sense will tell yo it's happening loosely, but these days the overall competition is tight & sellers would take any measures to sell their products & i feel as if most of the reviews which supposed to seem genuine might not be genuine at all . don't take it wrong , there are genuine people who are writing things that are often truthful & less exaggerated on a neutral tone , if huge companies take measure like these , pretty sure most of the companies who have nothing to loose use the reviews for basic marketing purposes , What do you think ? 19. Popopop-pop #GoodByeMadaPoppas Google is set to start punishing mobile websites which show show hard-to-dismiss popups and advertisements that hinder users experience , Google today announced two major changes related to its mobile search results. One of it being a plan to discourage mobile sites from using intrusive popups that are hindrance to users browsing experience , These websites will be ranked lower in the search query later on as punishment! The system would target overlays that gray out the content beneath them to prevent you from reading a website, either for a few seconds or until you find and very carefully tap a little X to dismiss them. These count regardless of whether they load immediately after a page is opened or whether they appear after scrolling a certain distance.these will be taken into consideration to make the call to push down the rank of the mobile website , Also the sites that ignore Google’s advice will no longer be considered “mobile friendly" An Example image of mobile website showing interstitials/pop-up/advertisements that make content less accessible (These mobile websites will be ranked down from the google recommendations) This user interface might be visible as the user logs in to the website or it's presented in the middle of the browsing experience which users manually has to dismiss , not to mention how clammy users will infact tap the damn link instead of closing it , this version of ads are easy on the eyes & doesn't completely take up screen real estate & can be considered light nuisance , But still is a nuisance Second Example of an intrusive popup (these sometime have misleading message that user is tricked into clicking thinking it's the actual website taking up 100% of the screen UI) This form of ad/popup takes up the whole screen of the mobile users , blocking the site view entirely & the ads or message is forced to be read , these form of advertisement is a hefty nuisance to user experience if you recall Third example of another intrusive pop up (multiple links within the ad) These are the main pop ups that google consider to be a hindrance for browsing on a mobile site & these sites will be ranked down from their search bubble filtered results , However google is only going after the sites which use this for promotional or ad revenue purposes , they are allowing similar pop ups if in which it carries information the user has to read or needs to know like Age verification , Legal Notice, Cookies info Example for intrusive pop-up window that is allowed But Google is still allowing Banner based ads , which the website owners can use , but given on how much it takes up & the less space on the overall screen that is reserved for ads regarding the content, it's considered acceptable Last year google conducted an experiment with intrusive advertisement on mobile website on which apparently 69% of the visitors left the site immediately after viewing the install app banner & only 8-9% of those actually clicked the ad to install the app rest just continued on after closing the ad manually An Example image of a banner ad that is allowed Another feature rolling out with this is kinda minor , but it removes the visual label that shows the site is mobile friendly It will not affect current users as it is set to be effective from January 10, 2017, i think it's a good action from google, but i don't think it'll be that effective in terms of site owners not wanting to loose ad revenue still continuing this ad pattern or might get worse with ads linked on every freaking paragraph just to get around this, What do you think about this? 20. Catch em all..Maybe later.. According to data collected by Sensor Tower, SurveyMonkey and Apptopia, The number of daily active users, downloads, engagement and time spent on the Trending Pokemon Go app each day are off their highs from just a month a go and are showing to be on a downward path , Pokemon Go became the most downloaded app on both Apple and Android phones within days of its release in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. U.S. online sales for Pokemon-branded merchandise rose 105 percent in July compared with the previous year, inb4 Gotye's new song "Now you're just some app that i used to know" The app have been a source of weird news for the past few months, People flooding certain areas & some distracted too much disregarding their surrounding getting hurt , it even helped some of the physical stores boost their sales ( one retail chain even reported sales increase by 100% after the store hosted the pokestop) some users stumbled upon dead bodies some fell off cliffs and the app users have been reportedly targeted by criminals who robbed users when they approach region to catch the pokemon(where's Pikachu when you need him) ,Reported road accident(s) due to usage while driving , was a report that a pregnant lady got hit by a car while playing The popularity of the app has been so much general consumers moved over from certain apps they used daily & were more engaged in the Pokemon go app , which technically doesn't sit well with investors & share holders who expect profits from the company , kinda look at it like printed newspaper loosing to online media, it's gonna do what it can to keep afloat , according to Axiom Capital Management Pokemon Go is starting to lose the battle for mobile 'mindshare' What do You have to say on this? 21. Thought this would be something of interesting , Just pick all the parts & accessories of your PC & give them a price that You think it's fair , Hardware's & peripherals that you have /using right now (for Laptop just set an overall price) , The value You give is the price You're comfortable enough to take to give that part away for that price if offered Example: Monitor : $270 CPU : $70 Case : $10 Mice : $22 Cpu cooler : $5 Optional: Please put in make & model of the parts if possible , but just generally it as 'a part' saying it is good too Don't over-exagerate or undervalue if possible , but set a price You're comfortable enough to sell it if the exact money was offered to you Comment on why you chose that price for each parts separately as you go along Post Yours just like this down below, Rules : No arguing about what you think is the right value, & i mean arguing , not discussion , do that , criticize without overdoing it Don't turn this into the classifieds section & start posting things like it's actually for sale (especially new members with not enough posts qualified enough to post on the classifieds using this as a sales thread) That's just about it,
  22. Tadaaa.....(Anniversary hiccups) Reportedly Millions of Windows 10 users who did the recent Anniversary update are discovering that their webcams are freezing up occasionally , even when trying to stream using Skype(Haha Microsoft). The issue is said to effect many popular webcams from big-name peripheral makers like Logitech on the hardware side, while numerous apps and services that rely on the codecs are being crippled from the software side. this was supposedly a decision the company made to prevent performance issues now that certain Windows apps have more direct webcam access post-update , But backfired Don't worry Elsa ,She's alright, it's just an update feature.. #LetTheUpdateGo Issue stems from the update having dropped support for two major compression format H.264 and MJPEG codecs , This issue impacted a wide variety of webcams including the popular Logitech C920,when a webcam tries to use MJPEG or H264, the device will freeze. after installing the update, Windows no longer allows USB webcams to use MJPEG or H264 encoded streams and is only allowing YUY2 encoding. This causes the freezing issue with most 3rd party hardware Microsoft disabled this option with the best of intention, with the Anniversary update there are new scenarios for applications to be able to access the webcam and the MJPEG or H264 encoding processes could have resulted in duplication of encoding the stream resulting in poor performance, so they limited the input methods to stop this from happening. & Look what happened Here's a good detailed quote from the trouble shoot site which gives a bit insight to this from a Microsoft employee The proper official Fix is set to arrive near september, directly from microsoft Temp FIX (for skype users): (cort: https://twitter.com/WithinRafael ) tweaking the registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows Media Foundation\Platform add DWORD “EnableFrameServerMode” and set to 0 restart Skype.
