I'm trying to decide what expandable AIO liquid cooler I should buy. I'm planning to use it in a Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 case. I'll be cooling both my CPU and GPU. I have an i7-4790k, and an R9 Nano. I figure a 360mm rad should be enough as each 120mm's of radiator will cool less than 100 watts of heat. My question is what AIO cooler should I get? Is one easier to bleed than the other? Which one has better cooling performance? Would either one fit in my case? I'm choosing between the EKWB Predator 360, and the Swiftech H320. I'm using EKWB's Nano waterblock.

This bit is context, skip to second paragraph for question. So i've always had a wanting to make a custom loop for my ncase system, but due to my lack of overall knowledge and how cheap i am, plus asthetics, i never got around to it. Skip to now, i had looked into the ekwb predator expandable aio, and just adding a block to my gpu as well sounded like a relatively cheap and easy idea. That went to hell when i found out it would only fit if i bent the ncase a bit (NOOOOOOO). So finally i came across the swiftech h220. It fits according to the specs, but thats all i seem to know. With the h220 I need to know 2 things, the first is, if i added a gpu block, would the pump be able to handle it without trouble. Secondly, how would that affect the temps knowing I want to keep the fan rpm's low (this is all about lower temps and being quieter) *NOTE* this is the original h220, not the 220x or etc.

Hello everyone! My litle brother was done with his old rig so he left me a swiftech h220. So i took it cleaned it and put it in an old rig i have laying around. I turned it on and there it was 'pssssss' white smoke, The black wire burned. ive never used watercooling before but understand the basics, so yes it was filled etc. now for the Question part: The rad of the 220 is pretty good i read, so i wanne re-use it. can i use the cpu block of the 220 (maybe clear the rotor/magnet out and put a pump to it? ow and any recomendations on what pump to get for it? (pref cheap but decent) Thanks in advance!

Hi all, i need to upgrade my cooling for my pc as i am still running the stock cooler, and so decided to look into expandable AIOs. now the question i would like to ask is whether the swiftech H240 X2 prestige enough to cool my 770 and my 4790k. For now neither the card nor the cpu are overclocked so they are both running stock speeds. thanks in advanced Malcolm

I am looking to switch from my NZXT H440 to a Corsair Carbide Air 540, and I was wondering if I would be able to fit the Swiftech H320 X2 Prestige in the front of the case, with my water cooled Gigabyte GTX 970. Help would be greatly appreciated so I can decide on whether to make this switch. Thank you!

So I am planning to Liquid cool my PC but I have never made my own loop before so I am looking for some help in the pricing area and at and what I should be buying. It would be nice if someone could help with a part list or even recommended brands. I was looking at maybe using the Swiftech H320 X2 AIO Liquid Cooling Kit then added in the extra hoses and brackets that I need. Hello, I have a AsRock X99e-ITX/ac Motherboard that uses the Server Narrow 2011v3 mounting mechanism for the CPU cooler. I was planning on using Swiftech for liquid cooling but I'm not exactly sure if the Apogee XL will work with that mounting mechanism?

I was looking at the Swiftech 240x for aio cooling. I have heard great things about it but also terrible. It seems though that most the bad reviews were before they changed there design. I was just wondering if anyone knows how they are now with the new design with the led block and visible reservoir? I know they are $150 and I could probably get another for less. I just like the block best, and like that I can refill it down the road so it can last longer. Also I am guessing its good they have metal fittings, since most others are plastic.

Swiftech h240x2 vs Corsair H100iv2 vs x?x
Crossbred posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I have heard great things about the performance of Swiftech coolers, and in my opinion they look pretty pretty. The Corsair h100iv2 is a good $40 less, and supposed to perform great but looks to plain to me. Fans don't matter, I have replacements from Noctua. The upgradeability of the H240x2 is a huge bonus for me, but so is the price of the H100iv2. Essentially, I am asking if the Swiftech is worth upgrading from the Corsair with a reasonable performance boost given the price difference. Again, I am reluctant to get a Corsair model because of their bland looks and pump noise in previous models. If there is a medium that looks just as colorful as the Swiftech and performs as well as both I would like to hear about it. I would be fine with doing a custom loop I could find the parts for under 150 USD total, but I have had no luck with that. Thanks! -
I recently decided to replace my CoolerMaster Cosmos II case with a Corsair Obsidian 900D. For water cooling in the Cosmos, I originally had a Swiftech H240x AIO at the top of the case with 2 Noctua 140mm fans pulling air through them. Separately, I had an external Koolance 360mm rad/pump/res combo unit sitting on my desk with lines running into the case, cooling my 2 Titan X cards (equipped with EK's full-cover blocks). Cooling performance was good, but noisy. Having that Koolance rig on my desk especially added to the cacophony. What I really wanted to do was package everything up inside the case and call it a day. As large as the Cosmos II is, it really isn't large enough to accomplish what I wanted: more and larger rads! Enter the beast from Corsair, a case that's been on the market for a few years and everyone knows about (except me, apparently, when I bought the Comos II... duh). The word "large" doesn't begin to describe it properly. "Cavernous" is probably better. Anyway, I picked up 2 480mm x 60mm AlphaCool rads, a pile of Noctua high(er) pressure 120mm fans, and a Swiftech Maelstrom V2 pump/res combo. There's a side story to the Maelstrom which I'll get to in a moment. In my inventory, I had a Swiftech 280mm radiator, which I intended to add to the loop at the bottom of the case; remember those 2 140mm Noctuas I was using at the top of the Cosmos? They'd work perfectly with the 280mm rad. I don't do "pretty" colors when it comes to my PC, form follows function. Clear tubing, and the liquid of choice: plain 'ol distilled water with a silver coil. To top it all off, a pile of Swiftech quick-disconnect ends for the tubing, rads, blocks, and res. Maelstrom aside: I actually had the Maelstrom V2 purchased and installed in my Cosmos II prior to receiving all of the other goodies. I wanted to put it through its paces in the old build by bypassing the Swiftech H240x and instead using that previously mentioned 280mm rad. I was having a ton of trouble getting the pump in the Maelstrom to start sending fluid through the circuit, and the problem is the design: the pump's intake is actually upside down. Instead of a gravity fed intake, it's a pressure (water weight) feed: the water presses itself into the intake chamber of the pump, and when there's enough pressure: up into the pump's intake. The problem: air bubbles. It's very easy for a large air bubble to form at the opening of the pump intake, thereby preventing it from pulling water from the res. You won't see the air bubble, but you'll hear the pump start to strain because it's not moving fluid. To solve this, I snagged a straw, stuck it down into the intake chamber of the res, sucked in a little distilled water, and then forced it back out. Upon doing that a few times, the air bubble popped and the pump started moving fluid. That's not all that happened. I came home from work one day to the fantastic and well-known smell of magic smoke. I ran upstairs to the office, and sure enough, the odor was coming from the PC. Oh. Shit. It took me a little while of digging, but I eventually found the problem: the pump on the Maelstrom apparently tried to pull too much juice through its SATA power cable, and it literally melted the rubber insulation off of it. The power supply did the exact right thing and immediately killed the PC's power. Best as I can tell so far: nothing else was hurt. But the stench was atrocious. What that picture is failing to show is the actual exposed copper wire. Whooooopsie. Fortunately, Swiftech replaced it without any questions asked. Anyway, on to the new build. After getting the 3 radiators and all the associated fans installed, I stopped to take a quick snap: Important to note that the 480mm rad wouldn't fit properly in the lower part of the case without first removing the bottom front fan from the case, along with the fan's bracket. So the front of my case only has 2 intake fans (replaced w/2 Noctua 120mm ones) vs 3. But that should be fine. The replacement Maelstrom finally arrived yesterday, along with my new CPU block from EK. The first thing I did with the Swiftech unit was to create a small loop between its output and one of its intakes, using the Swiftech QD ends. I filled the res with distilled water, powered it up, and had to once again do the straw trick to help prime the pump. But before too long, the water was circulating between the res' output and intake. There: primed. Time to install it. Seen below is a very bad photo of the leak testing. Bad because of the poor lighting: I was using an LED flashlight to try and illuminate the innards of the case: The fluid path is Maelstrom -> CPU -> top rad -> GPUs -> bottom rad (large) -> bottom rad (small) -> Maelstrom. I had a bunch of trouble with one of the QDs: naturally the one attached to the Maelstrom's output. It started leaking when pressure was applied but would stop when I shut the pump off. I removed the entire unit, took the QDs apart, reassembled them, and reinstalled. So far, the troublemaker is holding up as I've seen no evidence of leakage from it. If it does leak again, I'll remove it and replace it with a compression fitting. I don't want to wait for Swiftech's slow-boat-from-California order processing and shipping. So how's this all performing? I don't know yet. The rig is still sitting on the floor in my dining room, undergoing circulation and leak testing. I want 100% confidence in that before I haul it back upstairs and start connecting stuff up. I'll update the thread if folks are interested.

So i just got this Swiftech h240x and i tested it with my i7 3770k and extreme 4. So with these settings i got these temps 1 hour before noontime (sorry dont know ambient temp that time): @ 3.5ghz : 1.04-1.08v : 52- 59° @4.4ghz : 1.16-1.2v : 61-68° @4.7ghz : 1.312-1.36v : 81-91° Prime95 test, open test bed, noctua nt h1 & swiftech tp. Also, it had a few bubble on the res, does this effect perf? Are these really normal temps? Cause it's pretty dissappointing if it cannot handle 1.3v. Anyone tested it with the same components as mine? Thx in advance for the help

Hello, My friend has a H220, but the tubes are too long, as on most H220's. He would like to know if he could replace the tubing with hardline 10/16mm, or if that would not work with the included barbs on the H220 ( if not, then I'l just shorten the tubing for him ) Thanks !

Hey everyone, Has anyone ordered items from Swiftech recently or through a retail stores that carry their products in Canada. I've placed a few orders with NCIX for a bunch of fittings and I'm being told that swiftech is having issues supply or shipping their stuff in which seemed reasonable at first but it's been almost 3 months since I placed it and still only have partially received items. Not sure if I missed anything about this or was not aware but anyone have an insight as to what the issue might be? W-L

Thinking about grabbing this in the coming weeks once finals are over, just wanted to hear what you all thought about it. It'll be my first liquid cooling experience, so is there any sort of special maintenance I would need to do since it's not the typical AIO? It looks neat because it appears there's room for expanding into a loop to hit the GPU, which I think might be practical in the future if I ever want to go that route. Plus it looks really neat in my opinion. I might slap some Noctua IndustrialPPC NF-A14 fans onto the radiator if that's possible since Noctua seems to have the best fans and those IndustrialPPC ones look miles better than that terrible looking cream and brown color combination, haha. Looking to water cool as opposed to buying something like a Cryorig R1 or NH-D15 because I don't want a big hulking heatsink on my motherboard when I transport it between my apartment and home when school time comes and goes, I'll have RAM clearance issues, and I don't want to block the PCI-E x1 slot on my motherboard with an air cooler. Just like to know what you all think of this thing before I pull the trigger on it. Thanks.

Hello, I recently got my H220 back from swiftech , just put it in my system to find it being UNBEARABLY noisy . I plugged it in a PWM header on my X99s SLI PLUS , and bought it to it's lowest RPM ( 1680-1720 rpm ) . At these speeds , it's acceptable ( equivalent or a bit noisier than my H55 and liqtech 240) , but not silent like the reviews state , but it's the fact that as soon as I go above 25% , it becomes very loud with a whiny sound ( 50 , 75 and 100% ) Running it at 25% is fine for the moment , but I have a 360mm rad and a R9 290 block coming and I doubt 1700 rpm will be enough . Does this sound like a defect ( a nother rma would really be a pain ) ? Is it normal that at 50% ( 2200rpm ) it's really noisy with a small "brrr" noise from the pump ? thanks

I recently finished my mATX build and have been using the stock cooler as I couldn't make a decision on the cooler when I was picking parts for the build. I've decided to go with an open AIO and my choices are the Swiftech H220-X and H240-X. I was wondering if the H240-X would fit in the 280mm mount in the top of the 350D?

Hey guys, im overclocking my cpu and decided to let my Rog motherboard oc my cpu. My cooler is a h220x swiftech and my cpu is an i5-4690k. My mb came up with 1.28V and 4.5GHz clockspeed. I ran Prime95 and it came to a temperature of 95 degrees after 2min. Is this okay or should I downclock my cpu?

Hello people. I am basically going to just come out and say that this cooler is annoying AF! Allow me to elaborate: Sometimes when i coldboot my pc the pump wont start up. Cooking my 5930k. (i have checked all connectors thoroughly and everything is in OK. Also i have a p2 1200w psu so i should be fine with power) Generally the pump has an annoying whine to it. mine has not gotten to this guys stage yet but the next step for the horseshit pump is this or death.(video below) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVr_pt5XucM I do not own this video. Nightmare2993 Has the rights to it and i am purely using it as an example. Lastly even though the pump can be DC controlled i would have it set on an rpm profile it would ignore some times. for example it would run at full speed with all of the lovely whine as well. i would have to manually choose the profile again for it to ramp back down. I do not even trust to add a potato to this loop in the near future let alone a titan x. The pumps in swiftechs products are just purely shitty and they need to do something about it rather than just adding an X to the end of a previous model and throwing some f**king lights on it. Do not buy this product. 9/10 you will receive a defective product with their shitty pump. BUY AN AIO OR DO A CUSTOM LOOP!! - Pasha786

After confirmed to release Komodo-LE for Titan X and 980 ti on Swiftech Forum. They posted a picture of the gorgeous water-block on their Facebook. In my opinion, they are the best looking Titan X water block on the market right now (maybe not yet). If you like me, been waiting this water-block for 6 month, just get your wallet ready. They should come in 2 weeks. Hello Guys, does anyone have an idea on how to get a Swiftech H220X in Germany? I looked through all the retailers on Swiftechs website + Amazon but I haven´t found it anywhere. Maybe someone also from Germany could help me???

Hi, guys I just received and installed my Swiftech H220-X and followed all the instructions properly. But my temps aren't what they should be Build: Asus Z97M-PLUS I5-4690K (OC at 4.2Ghz) Seasonic X-series 1050watts Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB 1600mhz EVGA GT740 FTW 2x Rosewill 140mm fans for intake 1x Corsair 120mm exhaust fan at rear Artic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 Now new Swiftech H220-X Air cooled temps: Idle: 28-30c Load: 95c at 4.2ghz (on prime95 small FTT) Swiftech H220-X: Idle: 28-30c Load: 82c at 4.2ghz I find it still hot for watercooling as I've seen setups with I7-4790K at 4.8Ghz running around 70c I also have a friend with an AMD FX-9590 running a Corsair H100i and only seeing 54c full load??? Did I do something wrong? I see my pump running at 3000rpm, and both fans for my rad are running well and are in a pull configuration
