Budget (including currency): $5000 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Literally just gaming. CS as well as whatever the flavour of the month is. Other details: I already have a 2 x 8gb kit of ram form my old PC (this will be upgraded later down the line), otherwise this a a complete upgrade. I am also a big fan of pretty colours if you could not tell.

my wan show (broSoft) hoodie has gone onto life support.. I want a new hoodie to replace it, but the merch store has none of any kind as far as I can tell.. I would like a TechLinked hoodie that is just like the current T-Shirt, and a re-stock of the broSoft hoodie would be pretty sweet too. .. also, after you decide on a floatplane design, one of those in hoodie form would be sweet too... not that it matters... but... my main use for hoodies are morning jogs with the dogs, and evening bon fires @ the beach thanks! ** also, another quick note.. pull over hoodies are preferred over zip up hoodies (for me)

Hey, so I was looking at the LTT firepole shirt (default color, adult small) and was wondering if it's cotton, polyester, or something else, and if above is true, what it is. Thx in advance!

Presumably in the near future when Nvidia releases their cards, I will be purchasing there "2080 ti" or whatever it'll be called and I currently have a GTX 1080. Where's the best place to look to sell it besides ebay if possible? I want the least hassle possible and I'll be selling it with MSRP in mind so it should go fast, just want a place to start. And after suggesting whatever site, what's the process look like? I'm new and this is my first post. I tried finding a possible better place to post in discussion wise and I just concluded here, I apologise if I messed up ahah

Hello all! I love ltt/LMG/floatplane and appreciate all they do. While I don't have much time to help the back end angular team, I did have time this weekend to package up an android app for floatplane. All this does is use a webview to view the website, however I will soon include some features like push notifications on subscriptions, as well as notifications for many other things (comments etc). I would love to take requests and work on this completely free for the community. I am 100% willing to work with the LTT team and if need to, take the app down. I hope this as seen as a way for me to do some free development, rather than me trying to make any cash, as I plan to have 0 adds in the app and keep it free. Notifications should be done by next weekend, but until then feel free to use the app to keep you logged in and able to view from your mobile phone. Feature requests will be taken. I will open source the app when I reach 1.0 and accept contributions ( I am a strong open source advocate and understand how those communities (repos) work) Again a big thank you to LTT and everyone involved. Keep rocking! I hope I can help floatplane take over the world! woot woot! NOTE: I can't publish the app on the playstore until I have permission from floatplane/LMG proving I am allowed to publish. Here is the APK until then https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cc_RNM7DWh0D2L0rx-uEOvZw0gEGDqC6/view?usp=sharing floatplane-release.apk

After I have been to my first real lan and I had to sit in the back of the car squeezed in by 2 ATX builds, I started to like the idea of small mITX systems. So here we go. The Parts: For a case I went with the Cougar QBX mini-itx. I is quite new, very compact and offers a really great value for its low price. The build quality is really sturdy and the plastic brushed top and front peaces look really sleek. Now we got a case, so lets start filling it with parts. The Motherboard choice was pretty easy. I wanted something with great onboard Fan controll, so I went with the Asus Z97 Impact, which I got for a really awesome price. Then for the CPU I went with the 4790k, which is cooled by a Corsair H90, which I bought of a friend. The CPU choice was made because I want to play around more with video editing and virtual machines. I already owned the 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz Ram, the Asus Strix GTX 980, Samsung 840 EVO and the LTT Super Awesome Noctua Fans, which I preordered. The last Part I got was the PSU, a Cooler Master G550. It was reduced and I really needed a 140mm PSU to go in the case. It is going to be replaced, as soon as I can affort a good silent 140mm PSU. The Build: After dryfitting the Parts, I found out that the Strix 980 is to wide to the case, which meant dremel time. (No, I will not dremel the GPU ) In the Pic you can see the strip of metal that was in the way. In the Spoiler is the Case after I dremeled Here is the PC running with the Intel Stock Cooler. I redid the cable management after putting in the Aio, but forgot to take a picture. And here is a top view of the Aio. Looks tight, but guess it should be fine, as long as I don´t open the case. Now you might be asking yourself, why is that SSD glued to the PSU. I can explain... The Case came with a SSD holder and after trying to open it again, the cable got stuck and then it was already to late. More Pictures. Also you may now feel free to ask questions. Thanks for reading

So I have decided to switch from air to water except with an external rad, pump and res. much like this video ( ). the idea was to have the cooling parts be in a separate room for noise and heat reasons. Its all fine except I don't no have i will power the fans. There are 6 of them and they are pwm (Noctua NF-F12 Industrial PPC 120mm 3000RPM PWM Fan). I'm not too keen on running a power cable from my computer to the cooler. I just need to know where i can get some for of adapter (doesn't matter if they are running at full speed the whole time). and I need to be able to get it in Australia i.e. Australian power plug. Other questions??? Is their somewhere I can buy a pre-made tower that just holds a res, rad and pump. or I will custom make one. Whats the best way to filter the water is the little giant MD pump ok for this? recommend any pump you like (must be purchasable in Australia) What speed should it run at (so the pressure isn't too high) Other parts consist of; Rad - EK CoolStream XE 360 Triple Radiator 4790k sli 970 350D

Apparently windows 10 preview is not a win 10 beta as I had assumed. If anyone knows how to upgrade to windows 10 RTM without clean install, that would be much appreciated.

All around, this computer aint cutting it. This build was shown in a video, promising great results for around 400$. At first, things ran fine, but now i get low fps in games that used to run fine. Ex: L4d2 ran fine with high settings. Now, i only get the same fps when there isnt much going on on-screen. (UPDATE: i am now able to run dayz at a playable fps for some reason 20-50 fps. not sure what ive done) These are my specs Operating System Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit ( I was using this when i first built my pc december 2014. I then went from win7 32 bit back to win 8 after not seeing improvement) CPU Intel Pentium G620 @ 2.60GHz (considering replacing with an i5 or i3, whichever allows me to have a good cpu & gpu) Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology RAM 4.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (8-8-8-20) Motherboard ASRock H61M-VG3 (CPUSocket) Graphics DTV-C7V (1920x1080@60Hz) 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6670 (XFX Pine Group) Storage 465GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKX-753CA1 (SATA) Now im wondering what can i do to play my games smoothly. There isnt exactly a budget, but i'm not trying to buy 1000$ parts. What should be replaced? Or anything added?

Looking for a very good flat mic for just talking. I want it to be XLR and with that I need an AMP. I was looking at the AT2050 as it is $229 and bundled with some cool stuff. As the amp goes I don't know much after that. I don't have a sound card if that matters but is there a better mic for the same price? The RoosterTeeth Podcast uses this mic and I love the sound of it. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2050-Multi-Pattern-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00FGGE7UM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1435952052&sr=8-2&keywords=AT2050

My GTX760 just doesn't cut it for games any more. I plan on getting a GTX980ti during the Amazon 20th anniversary sale not for a price reduction but just to have them in stock from Amazon not some 3rd party seller jacking the prices. Just recently EVGA came out with the Classified Edition for the 980ti. it's $699 so still in the budget but would you actually see a major difference with that extra 40 dollars? It has a 14+3 power phases and larger fans with plates on the Vram too. I know the normal ACX wasn't really cooling much with the backplate reaching temps of 115C on the back. What do you guys think, I am already spending $650 why not spend $50 more for higher overclocks and a cooler card. http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-4998-KR

Hi there guys This build suggestion is for people who have 500$ or building something to replace their X-box or Play station If its your first build then welcome to the PC community! Intel Build PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VJdKLk CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Hitachi Deskstar 7K2000 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply Total: $494.85 What's in here? For what it is the intel Pentium is one of the sought after CPU's for it's price bracket with solid performance and support for nearly anything its a great choice for starters or people wanting a "bang for your buck" Cpu. The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is a legendary cooler with excellent performance for its price. It may be a bit large but overall its a got to option MSI h81M- A solid Micro Atx board and a great price bracket from it. Dont expect much in terms of overclocking but you can still have decent overclocks on your Video Card Gigabytes 960 Windforce is a brilliant card with maaxwell in it there is nothing in there which the card cant run at 1080p. If you want more info i suggest you visit Linus' Videos on this Card AMD Build PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mgGrCJ CPU: AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 280 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply Total: $507.64 What's in here? I am no expert when it comes to Amd however i can tell you that the CPU for its value has more cores than the Intel counterpart. Aswell as this the R9 280 has more Vram so it can handle higher settings before bottlenecking. Otherwise you will have to refer to This Video Here! Thats it for now! if you want to post comments feel free to ! I will upload my 900$ and 1500$ builds later o in the day...
