I have, placed physically from left to right: NAGA-II 1680x1050 20" - Playstation3D Display 1920x1080 24" - NAGA 1680 x 1050 20" I am not trying to run the PS3D Display in 3D, just 2D. I only use it for 3D with my PS3 on the other HDMI input. All monitors are on my GTX 690 connected via DVI and the miniDisplayport is open. System info: P8Z77V-LK MoBo 16GB RAM i7-2600K GTX 690 - Monitors GTX 550Ti - Dedicated PhysX (no displays) Win10 x64 Pro Currently, I am stuck with 3840x1024. This seems to be a remnant from when the leftmost display was a 1280x1024 Dell thing. I want the resolutionz! Can you help? Is it possible to run surround at these resolutions: 5280x1050 5040x1050 Or anything higher than the 3840x1024 I seem to be stuck with. Thanks for reading and any advice or help in advance!!! I am also curious to know if I should be using the displayport output so all monitors are on the same GPU. Currently I have this: (Yes, the NagaII is physically swapped on my desk with the Naga but that shouldn't matter.) Should I get a mini-Displayport to DVI adapter for the monitor currently connected to DVI on GPU B and connect it to mini-Displayport on GPU A? Will this result in any performance &/ surround resolution increase to more than 1024 lines? If I should consolidate monitors to a single GPU, do I need to pay more than $10 for an adapter? Or should I get a mini-Displayport to HDMI adapter and connect the PS3DD that way and put the nagas on DVI? Does it matter in terms of performance which connectors im using to which monitors? Educate me, please people. This has been suggested as explanation by a friend: " Because your PS3 display is wider than the Nagas, but not much taller (in terms of lines of resolution), you are limited to the common aspect ratios they can all support in denominations of 5:4(x3) because it has to render the full resolution in equal lines (size of the monitor not mattering) or else it would be rendering multiple streams of different sizes which those cards are not designed to do. " Is this what I'm dealing with? Without swapping the nagas for two 24" 1080p panels, or the PS3DD for another 1050 panel, am I stuck at 1024? the only thing I don't follow in that logic is the "common aspect ratios" part. See here: If I add any other monitors in the future, they will be auxiliary and run by either the MoBo Intel GPU or possibly the 550Ti. I have also used Android apps to allow a tablet or phone to be used as an additional display on a PC, but this would likely NOT be recommended for use as a gaming or fast-response monitor. Probably not even for video playback unless the audio were routed to the device's speakers to sync with the video. /Sidetrack Anyway, do my connections questions make sense and does anyone have answers? Thanks for reading!

I have a pair of JVC SP-ES3's and would like to upgrade because I don't think they're that great. Anyone suggest the best bookshelf speakers that I can buy in the UK for around £60 or less. I already have a Technics amp so any suggestions would be good.

I have 2 sets of desktop speakers at the moment. I have left and right speakers (JVC SP-ES3) which use speaker wires; and also I'm using some Logitech Z333's as surround speakers which use RCA cables. I also have a technics SB-CS50 speaker (which uses speaker wires) which I want to use as a main speaker as it's far superior than the rest. I know this sounds stupid and probably impossible but is there an amp with another connections to allow me to do all this?
-
I need to power one bookshelf speaker. I need a smallish amp to fit inside the speaker (making a Bluetooth speaker) and I want both left and right channels to go through one speaker. Do I need a mono amplifier or can I use a normal amp and only run right or left channel?

I am using a sort of ghetto 4.1 surround sound at the moment. I have 4 speakers connected to my amp and my amp connected to the line in (green) on my PC. I have also connected my powered subwoofer to the sub woofer port on my pc (orange) as my amp has no sub port. When I right click and test it on windows playback devices the sub works completely fine. HOWEVER when I play any type of music or sound on my PC nothing plays through the subwoofer? Any ideas? I'm so confused ?

Can I connect one speaker to an amp like the "TDA7492P", with one wire going to the (+) on the right and one wire going to the (-) on the left? Will that work? Basically I need to run one speaker into an amp that size, however all the good amps I can find are stereo, but I want both left and right channels going to one speaker (as I only have one) Any help would be appreciated

As the title suggest, I have stumbled upon an issue I thought never should have existed in the first place. I can't stand using computer speakers anymore, and its not because they don't have enough power ( I had 3 sets of logitech z5500 xD), once you try monitors, you never go back. So now I have two krk rokit 8 gen3's and a massively overpowered energy audio veritas sub. My plan is to buy 2 more studio monitors to use all 4 of them in a quad channel configuration (I don't watch movies so I don't need the center channel). At the moment I'm using a scarlett 2i2 for the monitors and a line out from my onboard audio to the sub. I also need the interface to have DSP (for virtualizing surround sound from stereo music/audio tracks). For now the perfect solution would seem to be an asus strix deluxe pci card, but as an internal solution, I'm afraid there'd be noise. Also no balanced outputs. tl/dr plz So my question to you, based on my requirements, is there a audio interface in the world that would suit my needs? Requirements: 1) At least 4 balanced outputs for the monitors (or 100% ground loop isolated) 2) One analog line output (convertible to rca) for the sub 3) Must be usable with WDM Audio (native support and integration with windows) 4) Have a software/hardware DSP solution, to virtualize surround sound.

Hi there, thanks for checking out my post! So as you see from the title, I am looking for some new Headphones or Headset. My current headset (Turtle Beach X12) are getting old and are uncomfortable after wearing for a long time. I have a few requirements but in my opinion, I don't think they are a hassle. Wireless - I move around a lot. Does not need a microphone - Buying AT2020 or AT2035 soon. Surround sound, Preferably 7.1. Good Sound Quality - Will mostly be for gaming with small amount music on the side. Comfortable to wear for long periods of time. What I have looked at: I have looked at headset's and the one that stood out was the Steelseries Siberia 800, also known as Steelseries H-Wireless. But after reading on the forum here, People have said to avoid them and recommended people look elsewhere so decided to get some more information from people. I did also look at the Astro A50's but everywhere I looked for every 1 good review there were 2 bad reviews so gonna give them a miss. The Logitech G933 also stood out but don't look the best. Color's: If colors are wanted, I for some reason seem to be a rather big fan of the color Red. I have a red room and a Black and Red set-up. Side note: I have an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard, It is meant to have very good audio built in and have had no issues. It does not have a Optical port. If this is a problem I wouldn't mind using a USB adapter or if that will reduce the quality buying a seperate sound card. If anymore information is wanted let me know, I wil be keeping an eye on this post as and quite interested to know what people would reccomend. Thank you for reading and for any help that you can give. Dexter

I bought my Logitech z506 5.1 surround system yesterday but i can't get my rear speakers to work. I do have a rear speaker jack on my motherboard. I got a asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard. When i go to my realtek hd audio manager, it says there is a signal from the audio jack but there is just no sound coming from it. I already got my settings to 5.1 surround and i checked if the cables are on all right spots and it should be fine. it's not the speaker itself because i but the speakers in the other jacks and they work fine. When i go to realtek and i enable 5.1 surround i can't enable rear speakers. i can only enable side speakers. i don't know if that is the issue. but on the motherboard it says rear too. the front speakers, center speaker and sub woofer are doing great. Do i need to get a sound card or is it the software? please help me.

So I was trying to get Nvidia Surround set up in my ultra-budget computer, but the problem is, the "Nvidia surround" thing won't come up. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, -Bob P.S. I'm not sure exactly where this should go. If any mods know, please do it. EDIT: Apperently that version of the screenshot is very pixelated. I'm building an overkill gaming PC, way overkill. It is going to have a dual 980Ti graphics setup to hopefully run AAA titles at triple 1440p. What I can't seem to figure out is what monitors to use. Budget is not an issue, so I've been looking at the Asus PG279Q for its IPS panels (a must, since you won't be viewing two of the monitors head on), G Sync, and 144Hz refresh rate. Not to mention its relatively low 4 ms response time and thin bezels. Right now I can't think of any other monitor that would be better for triple surround, but that's why I'm coming here. Would this be a good setup, or would you recommend a different monitor?

Greetings all, > My motherboard is Asus Z170-A. > Amp is Sony S-Master STR-KS1000P. > Using optical cable to connect my amp to my PC. > When testing 5.1 surround, on any of the sound field presets, not all of the speakers work correctly; the surround speakers don't play. Does anyone have any idea why my 5.1 isn't working properly with an optical cable? All help is appreciated. Have a nice day!

I'm building a gaming PC, and I am thinking about getting into 4k. my ideal goal for this PC is to do 1080p 3x monitor surround gaming, and the asus strix oc gtx 980TI should do that easily. this card does allow me to have an accessory monitor, which i want to use just for web browsing, youtube (in 4k) and for watching blurays in very high quality. the question is, would having a 4k accessory monitor have a greater affect on peformance when im gaming in the surround, or should i instead get another 1080p monitor? intel i7 4790k msi z97s sli krait edition atx 1150 mobo 32gb gddr3 1866 ram asus strix gtx 980ti oc 6gb gddr5 evga 850w 80+gold psu

Hi, My school is building a flight simulator for a project and we need to decide on a graphics card to power the main PC. We are testing using FS-X and a custom simulation program is in development running on Unreal 4.0. We are looking around the 950-70/370-390 range I think, as budget is relatively restricted but if we can show that we need it funding may be increased. We are currently using a borrowed 760 and 3 lower resolution displays which runs ok. -If we were to run 3x 1080x1720 monitors what would we need? -How about 3x 1080x2560 monitors? -Is this at all realistic or do we need to scale down our ideas for displays to a single 1080x2560 or similar?

I have been searching around the internet and haven't been able to come up with a working solution. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to watch videos, mostly using Google Chrome on sites like Netflix and YouTube, with nVidia surround without the video player taking up my two side monitors with black bars? Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I have a problem with NVIDIA Surround where the taskbar is in the center screen and when I open the Start Menu it opens on the screen all the way to the left. How can I make the Start menu appear only on the center monitor? When I click the search bar, it open on the correct screen. I can't upload a picture here because it is over 2MB, but here's a Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b4fqf4tkxkdqnct/Capture.PNG?dl=0

I have been using a set of logitech G430 headphones for a little while now, ever since I got them I've experienced a few bugs or glitches. The main problem is that whenever i unplug them, the software crashes, and it also crashes whenever i wake my computer from sleep, which i do a lot, to make it more irritating, after restarting the logitech gaming software, some games sound doesn't return without restarting the game completely. I am also using a logitech G502, unplugging that does nothing. and seems to have no effect. The headset is plugged in via usb. Sorry if I missed any important info, most of my specs are on my profile. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Hello guys I cannot setup my 5.1 samsung Hi-FI/blurey reader. I have DP into my monitor and an HDMI to the Hi-Fi from an asus strix 390 with an asus p9x79 Mobo on win 7 I tried to run from the Realtek but didnt detect and it was playing no sound even if in the mixer thing of windows you could actually see the sound bars go up and down. So I reed about Realtek conflicting with amd sound drives on win 7 so I disintalled realtek and the audio started working. If I go on Catalist the GPU detects 2 screens: one is my samsung monitor and the other one the samsung Hi-Fi. If you go to the far right of the screen the pointer goes away like it has another screen. The problem is that I cannot run it on 5.1 it just plays as stereo. What can I do?

Hi all, I just bought the HyperX Cloud 2 which come with a USB Virtual 7.1 surround. My Motherboard is the Z97 Extreme4 which has a 7.1 sound integrated. I use the headphones for gaming. What is the 'best' way to use the headphones and the 7.1 surround? Plug them straight to the motherboard or use the HyperX's USB 7.1 dongle? Also for most games you can select the type of output you have so 2, Headphones, 5.1, 7.1 etc.. What should I select when I use the 7.1 dongle or the motherboard? My questions are: 1. Should I plug straight to my mobo or use the 7.1 dongle? 2. Should I put the setting under 7.1 or Headphones in the games menu? thanks!

I have been saving my money for a while now in order to purchase three monitors to create a triple monitor setup, but now that it has come to the time to purchase them I'm stuck between which monitors to get, The: Asus VN247H 23.6-inch ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00A4415KG/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B00A4415KG&linkCode=as2&tag=marz-21&linkId=FYD7OP2ZKVDJULS2 ) or The: Asus VN247HA/ 23.6-Inch ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00S12AYNM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A1F8YGP86NG3IP ) Both Monitors seem great, It's just im not hugely informed on monitors so i have come here to ask for your help! Also my video card is the Gtx 970 so since I would be using Nvidia surround do i need to Use a Display port? ( If possible could you give me a small step by step guide on how i could set up these monitors? ( Not Recommended but would be useful!)) Thanks!!

Does anyone know whether or not getting a soundbar to use as a desktop speaker is a good or bad idea? Would desktop speakers be a better choice? Can you guys recommend some decent soundbars or speakers for around £50 or $75 if you can!

I am looking at replacing my old CM Strom Sirus-S headset as it has basically reached the end of its life. Looking for a headset mainly to be used for gaming, preferably 7.1 surround sound. I am not an audiophile in any way, and mainly use speakers for music. Sound quality doesn't have to be top of the range, but still rather decent. My budget is R1 650 South African Rand which is approx equal to $100 USD. At the moment the currency in South Africa has become very weak and as such prices for items here will probably vary quite a bit to items internationally. Am willing to go a bit over budget if the product is worth it. These are the headsets I'm looking at: Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma for R1 274 (~ $77) Corsair VOID USB, Virtual 7.1, Wired for R1 456 (~ $88) Corsair Gaming H1500, Wired, 7.1 for R1 442 (~ $87) (heard that these are preferable to the VOID as they are better quality, comments on this?) HyperX Cloud II Headset for R1 599 (~ $97) or a bit over budget but still considering, Logitech G633, Virtual 7.1 for R2 067 (~ $125) Local retailers are: http://www.rebeltech.co.za/ ; http://www.computersonly.co.za/ ; http://www.evetech.co.za/ Please let me know your opinions of the headsets I mentioned or any other decent gaming headsets that are worth considering. Thanks!
