Hello, I've built a gaming pc pretty much. But the cpu and cpu coolers have not been installed yet. This is because when I ordered everything Amazon failed to deliver my cpu so it's coming at a later date. To pass time I decided to create the build without the cpu and see what happens. Everything looks good but it won't start up? Well when I turn the power supply on only the top right of the motherboard lights up in rgb. Is this because I've built something wrong or is it just the cpu missing. Basically my question is, can everything in a pc run without the cpu? Fans, etc. Here is the build. Is everything looking good or did I mess up somewhere? And the cpu is coming tomorrow so I'm only reassuring my self.

I don't know why but when I got on this morning, there were lots of resolution and sizes changes on my computer. For example, my taskbar icon got smaller and I can't seem to change it back. Not only that, my application spacing between each app got bigger so each app is far away from each other then usual. Please help me. Also, I don't know If this links with the original problem, but my screen started flickering when I open a game. I don't know If you can tell the difference between the sizes, but here they are.

I am new to the server world. My server is a old desktop computer that is currently running truenas. I use it has a plex and nextcloud server. I currently have only 2 8 tb drives in a RAID 1 config. Original Specs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02628226 I upgraded the the pc to 8 gbs of ram and add a rx550 for display (the integrated one seems to not work and I use to use this as a gaming rig). My problem now is the current storage capacity is fine for now, but I would like to upgrade it in the future. I can't add any more drives since the motherboard only has 4 sata ports and I am using one for the boot ssd and the others for the hdds. My question is, should I buy a new motherboard for my server? One that has multiple pci ports, so I can add a SAS card. Which should allow me to have more storage. I have never touched SAS before, so I am not sure what card I would need, or even if this would work. Any input would be great. My big plan if this works was to transfer everything over to a new server chassis that has tons of more drive bays for expansion. Please tell me if that is a good idea or not. My last question as to do with RAID. If I were to get more hdds for space how can I change the RAID config. Is it an easy process or do I have to transfer over all the data to the new config. Plenty of feedback is welcomed I want to learn as much as I can. Thanks.

Hi all, I’m currently experiencing an issue, where from time to time my PC freezes and turns off by itself. It proceeds with automatic reboot and spits out „Boot device not found“ error. I have a manual fix for that, where I reconnect my internal SSD and afterwards it back to normal. But this ain‘t a fix for that, since it happens on daily basis. I would appreciate any kind of tips and fix for that.

So I'm getting the AMD Advantage Edition G15 (5900hx, 6800m) that Linus reviewed a week ago or two. Is it 8x or 16x memory chips? If not supported/slow type I can return them... and would love suggestions for fast RAM for it!

my fiancee wanted to build a new pc and has mostly everything the same as mine so i'm not sure why his stuff is having issues.. The zotac rtx 4080 worked fine on initial boot , but once we updated/installed the nvidia drivers we get a simi frozen flickering display . we thought it might have been the gpu but i tried my spare working 3080ti in it and had the same issue. we thought it might have been the motherboard but we ordered a different one and it has the same issue. i tried disabling the mobo graphics and it freezes when it tries to boot into windows. i can get into the bios ok before that happens. we tried sticking his ssd from his other pc that has windows 10 on it ( we had got him 11) and it worked fine until i updated the drivers then the same issue happened thankfully i put the other drive back in its original pc n theres no issue with that . i have no idea what the case is at this point or what to do honestly. Hello, recently my hard drive stopped working and I got a new one the other day, I got my new copy of windows and I got steam and all my drivers installed. I tried installing some games today but every time it would come up with Disk Write Error, the reason would be different every time so it's not like I can pinpoint a specific issue. I'm positive it's not hard drive related as I'm able to install anything but steam games. Things I've tried to no avail: Running steam as administrator, clearing download cache, verifying integrity of game files, turning off Read-only in steam properties, rebooting / restarting my pc. (I was not able to delete the 0KB folder as there are no folders in Steam > Steamapps > Common as I have not been able to download any games.) ( I was not able to pinpoint a specific issue through Steam > Logs > content_log as every time the specific error to pop up would be different) (Removing write protection wouldn't work either as whenever I tried doing this it would always come up with the error "failed to clear disk attributes") Can anyone help me or at least try to point me in the right direction? It would be very much appreciated.

Does amd 3000g support 3000mhz of Ram?? Plz tell plz help me out

Does Doom support SLI yet? I was thinking about buying it since it is on sale on Steam right now. I have 2 980's, and want to be able to take advantage of the for 4k.
