Hello guys! I really need to change my laptop's thermal paste as my CPU temps are going over 95c if I don't disable turbo with throttlestop . So I open up the laptop , remove all the screws on the heatsink and fans , and when I try remove it i can't. It is hard stuck to the GPU processor. I have tried warming it up with gaming to over 80c on my gpu and immediately tried to remove it, no success , I even tried with the hairblower. I've seen people online say to twist it , I can't , it won't twist. I have been scared to try to forcibly remove it cause' it might rip off the gpu or something. Have any of you have this happen? How do I fix it? At this point I think MSI put cement instead of thermal paste on my laptop. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys I need a bit of help with setting up QoS on my stock ISP router. Does anyone know what am I supposed to do here to setup QoS so that I can have stable connection while in game. My internet speed is 15Mb/s download and 0.7Mb/s upload, using ADSL2+ internet access technology. I want to set limit so that my PC has at least 50% both upload and download bandwidth, currently if I'm in game even if someone's phone just tries to renew weather forecast data my ping sky rockets, and I can't always turn off wi-fi just to play a game of Apex Legends for example.

Just installed iCUE for my 9X Corsair LL120 series fans. They're plugged in via the Corsair Commander module and have been working fine, but as soon as I installed the iCUE software they got stuck at 100%. I can't really change the colors OR fan speeds even though I'm seeing RPM and information like that..

So my first problem got solved, but i got a new one. I changed my Setup from Intel to AMD and everything works now. But when i play a game and exiting it. The PC and all programs including the Taskmanager and Sign Out Screen got stuck. Nothing works anymore. my specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X AM4, 3.50GHz, 16-Core ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO AM4, AMD X570, ATX MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO 11GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4x, 16GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288 NZXT Kraken Z73 Corsair RM850x *2018* 850W Could it be the RAM? Because these are DDR4 RAMs and not DDR-4SDRAM? I thought it would be a good idea because of the price-performance ratio to change to AMD but I'm very frustrated nothing else than problems. Anyone an idea? I updated BIOS and everything else. Windows was also reinstalled from scratch

Hello, I currently run a pc with the specs down below. I am really stumped on what to upgrade I'm having some cpu usage issues when recording and having a few tabs open during gaming causes 100% cpu usage with barely any apps open. I also am lacking a bit on newer games due to the 1070 I used to have a 2070 but sold it months ago hoping to get a 3070 instead for them money I made off it and we all know how that went luckily i had a 1070 lying around from a previous build. So my question is where do I go with my pc seeing as gpu prices are outrageous. i5 9400f Gtx 1070 FE MSI z390 A-PRO 32gb lpx 3200mhz 4x8gb hyper 212 evo cooler Thermaltake rgb pro 650watt modular psu 80+bronze 1tb xpg nvme ssd 8tb barracuda 5400rpm hdd Musetex phantom black mid tower atx case Resolution:1080p 144hz

I have a monitor that I was using via display port but the cable sucks. No matter how much I try and squeeze the release trigger it just does not want go in. I don't want to break my monitor but I don't see any other way to remove it. I tried to use plyers to get more leverage but they are too thick on one side because the cord plugs into the monitor from underneath and not straight out the back. Can anyone recommend a tool or solution to remove this cord? I've potentially already killed one monitor I upgraded and had a difficult time removing the same brand of cord. But since it was an upgrade I don't know if it still works. I will put a link to the cable below so you can avoid buying it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TTQ306M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My windows keeps making me do an update almost every time I shut down or restart my PC. This update always gets stuck at 48% (for several hours until I eventually force shutdown). Also I've noticed very high cpu usage from these two things: - Dism Host Servicing Process - Modern Setup Host I don't know if that's relevant. The update is called 20H2 I think but sometimes it says something different I'm on a laptop with an rtx 2060 and an intel cpu. I've tried the troubleshooter, I've tried resetting the PC, and I've tried yelling at it really loud to convince it to work, but I have had no success. Please help if you can.

Hello. I have desktop with Ryzen 2700x, GeForce 1050, windows 10 64bit on NVMe M.2 SSD, 1 sata SSD and 1 sata HDD, 32GB (8*2+16) DDR4 RAM, ASUS B450 mainboard. My PC freeze randomly, but complete stuck - rather soft. I'll call this phenomena as just 'freeze' for this topic. Mouse moves, and running programs works well. Only tasks that require read something from drive didn't work; open file, open new program (including task manager), read file by already running programs, etc. By observing task manager and resource monitor (start with booting and wait until freezes again), All drive shows 0 KB/s and 0% read during freeze. While freeze, CPU, ram, GPU, and drive write are all show 0% or very low usage, unless I do something with already running program. Write something to drive seems no problem (like normal, done without lagging), If I try to save something at running program. However driver reading is not perfectly blocked. It is just extremely slow. Some light file (like txt or jpg) open after 10s min, and restart PC (alt+F4 at desktop) also done before 1 hour passes. Followings are what I done for try to fix this problem: Change SSD sata port Migrate C:\ and windows to new NVMe M.2 SSD Update all drivers, bios, chipset, etc. Update firmware of all SSD and HDD. SFC and DISM - try both online connection and ISO file from MS media creation tool Windows repair installation - using ISO file from MS Change Regedit MSI (Message Signaled Interrupt) setting. Reinstall MS standard SATA AHCI controller driver Disable automatic HDD power down timer - windows power option Disable and set manually automatic control virtual memory settings Drive surface test (easeus), no problems. Delete unnecessary programs. Delete temporary files (ccleaner) Check again that microsoft defender is not running. RAM memory test (memtest86), no problems. Disable superfetch (Sysmain) Check task scheduler (no task start running when freeze start) Turn off running programs (using task manager, include antivirus comodo) while freeze. Just waiting until unfreeze (>8 hours, still freezes) PC still freeze after all above and I have no idea to what can I do further. All CPU, RAM, drive, GPU, Power usage are low and has sufficient margin before and during freeze. CPU, GPU temperature are sufficiently low and no thermal throttling before and during freeze. I think some windows task or process occupy something and don't let other task approach to driver reading. Can you suggest anything that I can do, to solve this problem or at least figure out more detail about this situation? thanks.

Hello all, I really need help fixing this issue here, my computer freezes after being idle for a few hours, I still can move the mouse though, but cannot open any file, I just can press the start and restart button only and it doesn't even restarts it will stuck on the restating screen... I have to force shut it down every time or press the reset button to make it work! Looked online on other forums but didn't find anything helpful. Here are some troubleshootings that I did that didn't work: - Made sure Power states (C-State) is turned off - Made sure the power plan settings are set to high performance whit never hybernate and at its maximum performance - Disabled overclocking and all AI overclocking from BIOS and Asus Ai Suite III - Made sure that EPU (Power savings) and away mode are disabled in Ai Suite III - Ran sfc/ Scannow - All drivers are updated to the most recent updates also windows note also that this was a fresh windows install, just after I completed my build 5 days ago. Attached some screenshots of my build. my new build specs: CPU: i9-13900K MB: Asus ProArt z-690 RAM: Crucial 128GB DDR5 4800Mhz PSU: Corsair 1200W Cooling: Noctua nh-u12a Windows 11 22H2

My laptop is LG U560 (2013) Chrome, version and windows10: On the Tuesday night I decided to update my laptop since it had became sluggish in the last week and thought the update might help as suggested by many youtube videos, after trying other fixed I came across with the updating my software solution so I proceeded. Duringthe nightI downloaded the windows update assistant and left my pc downloading the updates at 49% before I went for bed, 7 hours later I woke upand the pc was installing the updates after restating automatically but it was stuck at 30% for hours then it suddenly went off which could have been the problem with my faulty laptop battery, then I pluggedin and tried booting, and here I ended. My laptop can not boot anymore and it's stuck in this loop. It has created these unknown copies of my windows operating system and wherever I try booting one of them, I get driven back to the recovery menu. So here iam, stuck and I idle because all my work is on here. The are the clones of windows I have but never created. I get here after choosing one operating system from the list, when I select a language I get redirected to the recovery menu again.

Awhile back my friend lent me his 2080 super because he wasn't able to use his PC for a few months so I swapped out my 1070ti for his 2080 super and everything ran amazing and had zero issues. Since then I've had to return his card and put my 1070ti back in and ever since I've been having this issue when I'm just watching streams or YouTube. I have a dual monitor setup and almost always have a twitch stream running on second monitor and either a game or other video running on main monitor. After some time passes all video freezes but audio usually persists and task manager shows 100 GPU usage and my PC is really unresponsive. Temps are fine across the board and while gaming everything works like it should. Drivers are updated and recently cleaned so I don't think its a GPU driver issue. It seems to happen without fail eventually if I have 2 video sources playing on either monitor and the only solution is to restart the PC. I'm using Firefox as my browser and I have not tested to see if it happens on other browsers yet. Reliability Monitor shows a hardware error after it happens every time and I'm not sure what it means. Any help appreciated as this problem is frustrating even though its easily solved with a restart but inevitably will happen again eventually.

Hello. Today, when I opened my laptop it just booted on this screen (I’ll attach a photo below). Yesterday, when I last used it, everything was normal and no Windows updates were installed. No matter how many times I turn it off and on or how much I wait, nothing seems to change. Anybody got any idea on what may have caused this and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

For the last couple weeks my pc has been acting up. I thought maybe it was the cpu since it has been running a little warm (70-80c on average while gaming) so I am waiting on arctic to send me my replacement part for my AIO..some have said that wont help temps too much.. I have done all sorts of tests, updated bios, gpu drivers, ram tests, storage clean up...nothing is working I will be sitting on twitch and it will just freeze out of no where, and it is very inconsistent I cant seem to predict when it will happen..I will include a picture of what my desktop looked like today when it reset, thinking maybe it was a GPU issue, but I just bought the gpu in may of 2022. I have no overclocks, the voltage seems appropriate for the speed the cpu is at aswell.. I am almost considering resetting my pc since I feel I have no other option at this point My pc build is in my profile TIA

I have an Asus low profile GT 1030 connected to my 4k TV and I am stuck at 30 hz. I have tried: Multiple cables Checked that the card has HDMI 2.0 Used both Windows 10 and Linux No matter what I try, I am stuck at 4k30 even with cables "rated" for HDMI 2.0. Is there anything else I can try, or do I need to buy a GT 1030 with a DP connector so I can use an HDMI 2.1 adapter?
