Hello! i am switching from a red cpu to a blue one, and with that a new motherboard as well. I currently have 2 drives. 1 500gb ssd that has windows and a few other files on it, and a 4 tb hdd with everything else. I'm completely fine with reinstalling windows on the ssd, the problem is i'd rather not re-obtain 2 tb of data if i don't have to. Is there a way for me to integrate the old hdd into the new system while keeping its files?

Recently moved into a new apartment with my girlfriend and space is limited. I had a full ATX build and decided to go ITX for a smaller form factor. I purchased H100i RGP platinum, ASrock fatal1ty ITX mb and Fractal core 500. From my existing build I grabbed my ram, 1070, CX750M, ryzen 7, new mb, new cooler, new case and went to work. Everything was installed to the T based on the ASrock manual as well as the H100i manual. In the settings it does not matter what I select, I can toggle it all as a fan or a water pump at full speed it does not change the temps one bit. I have also tied every fan header on the mb, there are 3. CPU_FAN1, CHA_FAN2/WP, CHA_FAN1/WP I purchased the H100i from Best Buy brand new. What are the chances it’s defective? I also used the thermal paste that was pre applied. In a last attempt I decided to remove the pre applied thermal paste which I included pictures of that as well. As you can see it was definitely not the pastes fault. The numbers in the picture correspond with the mb connector and what is attached. HD_AUDIO01 > front io CHA_FAN1/WP > chassis fan PANEL1 > power, reset etc USB 2.0 header > corsair icue USB cable USB 3.1 gen1 header > front io ATX_POWER1 > power CHA_FAN2/WP > corsair pump tach cable ATX12V_POWER > power SATA3_1 > PNY SSD 500GB For the record, I have taken the whole system apart and reassembled it. All connections are in and tight. I’m going crazy over here ? -

Hello, I was looking for some help. I've recently upgraded my pc, by this I mean changed everything except ram, storage and psu. Upgraded from i5 6400 and gtx 1060 to amd r5 3600 and rx5700xt. Since doing so my pc keeps crashing with the windows blue screen of death and game performance is very poor (30/40 fps on medium settings). I have 8gb of ddr4 2666, I will be upgrading soon however. All drivers have been installed and still no improvement. I have uninstalled windows 10 completely and rebooted from usb yet still the same problems occur. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advanced. ?

Hi, I am new to c#, I am trying to code a page where select a button it will pass the image and its text to the other page, however, it shows me this error. (I was having an error with the code in bold and underlined ) An unhandled exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in System.Drawing.dll Parameter is not valid. (The first code was the image and message to be inserted) (The second code was for the image and message to be inserted into the first code) First code public Booking(Image passingimage, string bandtitle) { InitializeComponent(); pictureBox1.Image = passingimage; bunifuCustomLabel5.Text = bandtitle; } public static void Shbooking(string bandtitle, Image passingimage) { Booking bk = new SoftwarePrj_LawZhiMing.Booking (passingimage,bandtitle); bk.ShowDialog(); } Second Code public partial class EandB : UserControl { Image passingimage; public static string passingtitle; private void BunifuThinButton21_Click_1(object sender, EventArgs e) { ((Home)this.TopLevelControl).Hide(); passingimage = pictureBox6.Image; passingtitle = bunifuCustomLabel2.Text; Booking.Shbooking(passingtitle, passingimage); } }

Okay so, I'm in the midst of testing my new build which I'll have the parts listed below. This is y second build and ave done A LOT of research into compatible parts and assembling in general. I decided to throw my mobo, cpu, ram, and my older 750ti together to try and get a post to bios simply to ensure everything works flawlessly and what not. PARTS: Ryzen 5 2600, ASUS ROG x470-F motherboard, G.SKILL RGB 2x8GB 3200 ram, evga 750 G3 gold power supply, currently rocking the evga 750ti but will swap to a 1070 founder's edition once it arrives. THE PROBLEM: The boards inboard status LED's flash red/amber upon start but quickly change to green (supposedly this means a successful boot) but I see no signal through the mobo's HDMI or through the gpu's HDMI. Then, somewhat randomly, the power supply will make an audible switching noise and shut down. I have tried to give the power supply a dedicated outlet in case it was trying to draw more juice but wasn't receiving enough but this didn't work. Can someone help me diagnose the issue at hand? The fact that the motherboard "boots" but no signal is sent to the monitor is concerning but the power supplies abrupt power off is also equally more troublesome! Thank you! ***NOTE*** IT POSTED TO BIOS, however the cpu is reaching temps of ~90C. Is that normal w/ no cooler on it?? Will throw a master cooler 212 on it after it cools down

I came home today from school ready to get onto my computer but when I booted the machine up it ran as usual until a blue error message stating that that my PC did not start currently came up with only the options to click “Restart” or “Advanced Options” I’ve restarted the pc multiple times and also have checked inside of it to see anything that looks out of place. I know this problem can lead to lots of things but I felt like this would be the place for the best people to try and help me narrow down and fix this issue.

Hello its been more than a year since my s6 has been out of commission, from what , i dont really know the answer to that but if i had a guess it might have something to to with some x video videos on my phone, then again i dunno. but i took it to my local computer shop and what had ended up happening was they charged me 40 to check it out and and tell me they couldn't find out what was wrong with it -,-, i highly doubt they went to great lengths to get my phone back on, and im dying for help, if these symptoms sound familiar i am open to information on this. the status of this phone: turns on buttons work charges error message displays: an error has occurred while updating the device software . use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software.

I am officially infuriated. This the second attempt at installing windows 10 and my third clean install on said attempt. Each time it boots for the first time just fine, and it's normally at this point where I update drivers. The first install I update nvidia driver. Second time did the same, but altered windows settings. Third and most recent time i've used windows default gpu driver, disabled fast boot (some have said it can cause issues) and updated the audio driver (realtek). My pc is as follows: ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard AMD FX 6300 CPU Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Zotac GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GPU (and for what it's worth) Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer If any more details are needed please ask. I just want this issue resolved. Thanks.

Hello everybody, My name is Peter and im new to Linustechtips. So if im doing something wrong, just notify me. My native language is not English so please excuse any grammar or spelling errors The problem: My friends pc is a watercooled gaming pc which his neighbour build for him. He has this pc for around 6 years now and it always worked really well. So the hardware is perfectly compatible. Since a month ago his pc shut down instantly and gives no bsod or any errorlog. Sometimes he can immediately start up the pc and boot windows again, but the pc will fail within 30 minutes. The amount of time the pc stays on is really random from 5 minutes to 1 hour. (This is not stress related because we test this with offline matches of League of legends). He has 4 banks of ram installed which are all together 8gb. Yet his windows (64bit) shows only 4gb. His motherboard shows red leds which should indicate where a problem could be, but these leds vary everytime it crashes. Its mostly on the memory and cpu. What we have tried: We tried testing the ram with memtest86 and windows memory test software. All turned out well. We even put the memory in my own pc and it showed 8gb. We tried another power supply which was even a little weaker in Watts. No difference We tried reinstalling Windows which also didnt help. We tried running the pc on the onboard graphics card. Also no signs of improvement. We checked the liquid cooling for leaks Does anybody know what could cause the problem? We suspect the motherboard for these failures. Overheating seems unlikely because there isnt alot of warmth in the case and near the cpu. Thanks in advance. Specs: Intel i5-3570K Corsair vengeance ddr3-1333 8 gigabyte, 4 slots Corsair GS700 psu Asus gtx660 Asus PBZ68-V Pro/gen3 Motherboard

I have an HTC One M8 For Windows (Obviously) and I shined up for the insider fast ring to get the newest windows phone iteration, only problem is the after going thru the process (agreeing that my phone might go down the $#!ter and restarting.) I go to the Phone Update page and tap "Check Update" and nothing, even after over 40min of waiting, and I know for a fact that the M8 is compatible with Win10.

I recently got my router replaced for the 3rd time(fucking Xfinity). Wifi seems to be working ok, but it is slower than it used to be. My PC though can't connect. The PC only has ethernet. I tried messing with the IPv6 and IPv4 because the problem seems to be a conflict with the router and PC. I also tried going into Command Prompt(running it as admin) and entering this command in: Netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled Xfinity keeps sending retards over(its been 2 weeks) that can't figure it out. Any advice? I was thinking of just buying a wifi card and switching internet providers and see if ethernet works then? (they're shit anyway)

My 4670k was running on the stock intel cooler with no issues as of 2 days ago. I booted up RUST for the first time in about a year ( http://playrust.com/ ) on steam and cranked a few graphics settings. I noticed it was extremely jumpy and laggy so I checked my CPU temps. All 4 cores were maxed at 100% and around 100 degrees celsius with the fan at 100% speed. Needless to say I shut down the game ASAP and ended all other processes. The CPU remained at 100% load however. I let it try to cool down for about 3 minutes but during that time neither the fan speed/cpu load/cpu temps changed. I had to just shut down the PC manually. I checked my heatsink and it was slightly dusty and the thermal paste was kinda dried out. Yesterday I went and bought a coolermaster hyper 103 and installed it with fresh thermal paste. The computer was running cool at around 55-60 degrees under world of warcraft and google chrome load for about 20 minutes. I booted up rust once again, it was running MUCH smoother for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes it ran up to 100% load, 100 degrees and wouldn't cool down despite shutting it and everything else down from processes. Does anyone know what the heck is going on with my CPU?? I figure its one of two things RUST might have some process that takes all my CPU (its in alpha) My CPU is dead (Pls no.. im broke) CPU: 4670k GPU: R9 270x RAM: HyperX Grey 1600
