Newbie here! Is it possible to put your screen to TV without an adapter support (Non Miracast) wirelessly through local wifi by using something on a computer then opening a browser on TV with your PC screen on it? Well this idea just strucked to my mind... It's like using "Program X", Program X puts your screen on TV Browser by entering Program X's given address locally on WiFi. Program X helps other WiFi enabled devices share their PC screen onto TV without WiFi adapter support like Miracast I hope this makes sense to you but for me I think this idea is helpful for those who have WiFi enabled devices but don't have Wireless Display support. It's also great if you're a code master and build a program that can do like this! Good day!

I own a Toshiba 40L3443D. When ever I select the settings menu right inside the Internet Portal the terms and conditions page asking for confirmation. Supposedly I will select OK, nothing happens I mean no changes and then I had to go BACK and redo it again but still the same. What could be the problem? Firmware is ver. 3.6.3c I attached the screen shots too.

Hi the tv goes in standby when i play ps4 after a couple of minutes. Panasonic viera tx 55e2 950 e (just disconnected ethernet) Logitech Harmony Elite (wifi works) Bose soundtouch 300 wireless sound bar system Bose acoustimass 300 bass module Bose virtually invisible 300 (not connected to wifi or ethernet) Ps4 standard 500gb (ethernet) Tv and sound bar is just a couple months old. The problem was first when we all installed it. After some chances and hanging the tv on the wall cable management we back connected the Bose and ethernet to tv. I first tought it was the TV that's not the case now any more. When we did not everything connected it worked perfect just help someone.

Hey Techies! I have this crazy idea in my head for a while... make my own DIY TV from scratch. The thing is, I have not the kind of technical background to know what to use for this on the OS and parts side. Therefore I call your help to guide me a bit through this exploring stage I'm in right now. I really hope someone has experience is something like this or got some tips. Greetings from Belgium! Stijn

Hi. I have an issue with JVC smart tv. I'm based in the UK and recently moved house the new talk talk router works fine but I have problem with the TV which for some reason requires me to set up the WiFi password each time I put the TV in standby. Once connected it works fine until powered down then the next time I switch on I have to set up the password again. I read something about duel channel hubs or assigning channels to the TV , dns, ip address etc. Does anyone know what this issue is and can you explain it as simple as possible so I can try and fix it, coz it's driving me nuts, cheers

Hi, I have a old laptop of i3 Gen 1 and Ram 3gb. I want to make my led tv smart by connecting it to the laptop directly. I want a kodi or a plex like experience, but don't want to install windows 7 or other os and run the Plex on top. (Note: I don't want a server to host the file, my tv doesn't support network access, it has only VGA and USB input) The new OS should directly boot and start like an android tv. My use case is mostly to open local movies from pendrive and occasionally use prime video either through browser or if an app is available it's fine. This is for my Parent's house, so please suggest an OS so that no tinkering is required after installation and will be easy to use for them.

Hello, I would like to ask your opinion on a certain matter. I want to connect my Desktop (running both windows 10 and ubuntu) with my smart TV. The TV is far enough that it will be preferable if it could be done wirelessly. Both my desktop and smart TV are connected to my LAN. The TV supports both miracast and screen mirroring. And now for the question. Is it possible to connect them wirelessly so that i can play games in 4K with little or none latency? (It is OK if it only works on windows). Thank you in advance.

I want to start using a VPN. My computers/phone will be covered, but I also have a Samsung Smart TV and a Google Home. For those, I know I could flash my router and add a vpn, but (a) I'd rather not mess with my router and (b) I'm moving soon to an apartment building that has a business line for the building and wifi for the tenants, there's no router for me to adjust. my question, would using a vpn on my computer/phone and then not on my smart tv/google home defeat the purpose of a vpn? my current public ip would still go out w/ the other two devices.

So I'm having an issue, my friend's Samsung Galaxy S7 seems to be able to detect and cast to my Hisense 55H7B TV. With my Google Pixel XL (1st Gen) I keep trying to find the Hisense to cast to but it only comes up with the Samsung TV in another room. So I've tried the basic resetting the router and reset both TV's to default. I've tried this multiple times and I never can find the Hisense TV. Does anyone have any ideas to go from here.

So we have four roku devices among my family, one stick and three tvs. We soon learned that all Roku devices sync their channels if all devices are using the same roku account. This is good most of the time, however Roku Parental restrictions are severely lacking. There are no restrictions on internet use or the channel store, and no way to put a code on higher rated content. So not even creating a separate Roku account will help. So I'd like to ask how the other TVOS handle Parental restrictions.

OK let me start by saying I've had this problem ever since windows removed home group sharing a couple months ago. i have read days worth of forums trying to figure this out and i final decided to ask for help. Before the windows up date i could share a file from my movie server (movie server has:1 ssd boot drive &1 hdd movie storage) to my smart tv, where i was able to select the pc and view my movies. Now when i select the movie server from the tv it says no content found. I should mention the i am able to access the Movie server from any other lan of wireless pc in the house but both the tv and the smart blue ray player on the other tv are unable to see any movies or folders yes all of my advance sharing option are on, except the the password is turned off and the tv has permission under Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center → Media Streaming Option I've tried reinstalling windows, had to re set up all the sharing options and that didn't fix anything. Then i tried copy a movie from the server to my person pc and share the movie from there. Once I turned the sharing options on the tv could see my person pc but it also was not able to the movie there either. The TV also is using cat6 so its not a wifi problem either wanted to pointed out that when i select network on my personal pc both computers show up but when i select network on my movie server nothing shows up. (You can view both pc as a media devices but that opens windows media player) any help would be amazing

I'm looking to get a new TV, and I know a few of the things that I want in it, but I'm not sure exactly where to start looking or what brands to look for, etc. Here are the things I know I want: Smart TV I want to be able to use Hulu as my TV provider without an external box Being able to use netflix or other apps would be very nice too Probably 4k $400 target I don't know the market very well, so maybe $300 is reasonable, maybe it's more like $500, but $400 is my naive target right now What brands should I specifically look at? What models? Should I go to costco and shop or just check out Amazon? I really don't know much here, so any help would be great

Hi, I want to buy a new TV, but I'm not sure which one should I choose. So I need These specs for sure: 4k screen lan port (possibly Gigabit for 4k youtube videos) Enough cpu power to display 4k -> Well this is my main problem. I have a NAS on my network which has an NFS share on it. When I tried TCL 6046 TV with this configuration and well.... It just can NOT play 4k videos from NFS share. I only have 700-710 U.S. dollars for it. (I'm from another country with other currency. So it's a converted value.) Please help me, I'm getting confused from the manufacturer's promises. Thank you so much. Sorry if my English is bad.

I am planning to buy a display for my day to day PC use as well as Gameing. But I am Confused between a 32 inch Full HD Smart Tv and a 24 inch Full HD Monitor. The case is both are 60 HZ so it's nothing to go with 75 or 120 or 144 as they don't come under my budget. But according to my budget a 60hz monitor with 24 inch and a 60hz Tv with 32 inch as well as a smart TV comes. So my question is which is better as both are same features same price but a Tv gives some more good features. A monitor vs Tv which should I buy..

Here's the specific model of our TV: http://www.samsung.com/ph/support/model/UA32F4500ARXXP So I wasn't home when this happened and my folks just told me when I came back home that something blew up inside the TV and it won't turn on anymore. So I tried to disassemble and look on the insides of it (see pics). The brown one is the power supply board and the green one is the main board. Not sure what's on those covered by black plastics. Looking on this image, I think that's the part that blew up. Not sure what to do with it though. Any idea guys? Thanks!

Recently the school i'm currently working for as a intern system manager bought a ''SmartTV''. i have nothing against a smart tv.. but, since this is a IT school with loads of students with smartphones i was wondering if it was possible to somehow block the mobile output on his smart tv. it's probably impossible, but anyway. If anyone has tips to block the signal of the smart tv, simply taping off the sensor isn't gonna work since it's easily removed. Brand : Samsung Model : samsung ue40h6400 As a reminder i'm just a simple intern working at my own school
