Hi, I currently have 2 gtx1070s setup in SLI. But they are crashing even when I'm not in game and the temps are always in low 60s. I hear the GPU's fans maxing out and my pc freezes and no BSOD. Whenever it reboots sometimes my resolution is changed and I can't access Nvidia Control Panel like it is missing and then I need to reboot a few time for it to load. And the rgb lighting on the Asus 1070 seems to reset each times, if that helps. Specs (if that can help): CPU: Intel 4790k, Mobo: Asus Maximus Hero VI, GPU 1: Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1070, GPU 2: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 (bought recently used), (neither are OCed) PSU: Corsair ax860, I am using 2 flexible sli bridges, because they are not the same width. Unigine Heaven is the benchmark used for the screenshot. I have 3 monitors all plugged in the top card. I tried reinstalling drivers and wiping my whole computer.

I know LTT from weird, expensive projects so I thought it would be right to post here lol. Dual CPU board with two Xeons (with at least 8 cores and 4.5 Ghz clock minimum), and SLI support. Preferably M.2 Is this possible?

:DISCLAIMER: (english is not my main language so im sorry if there are any spelling mistakes) So me and my friend have had a really long discussion about 1080ti vs 1070 sli i have 1070 sli in my pc and get higher fps in most of the games we play than my friend with a 1080ti. i have an overclocked i7 8700k 5,0 ghz and he has a i7 6700k That has not been overclocked. He says it's the cpu but im more keen to it being my cards that beat his. Tho he gets more fps in some games like farcry. So my question is is it my cpu or is it my graphics cards that beat his pc (in some games). Enjoy a picture of my pc while we are at it.

So I'm new to building computers so I was wondering if there is a motherboard with a LGA 1155 socket (I would prefer Q77) that supports SLI. One that will work with my i5-3470 (I plan on upgrading it to a i7-3770k in like a year or so). For the SLI I want to do I was planning on doing a GTX 970 SLI. Thank you for the help my dudes

For Months I've been trying to get my two Quadro P4000 to SLI Pair with the corresponding SLI Bridge and other different types of SLI Bridges. On the Nvidia website it lists the motherboard I'm using as SLI Ready and even states it as compatible to SLI with the P4000 series. I recently upgraded my PSU and plugged the power cables directly to the GPUs, so not to Daisy Chain them. I put the bridge on the 4 fins marked SLI with the PNY Quadro HB SLI 2 way 3 slot spacing until snug like the instruction directed me. After, installing the latest Nvidia drivers the Bridge would not show up in the Nvidia control panel as being in SLI and even listed it as being disabled in the cards Topology.1) First I tried to swap the cards from the slots and reattach the bridge again. It still would not show up in the control panel.2) I uninstalled all Graphics Drivers through DDU and did a fresh install to the latest graphics drivers, which resulted in the same.3) I messed with the Bios settings to make sure the motherboard would SLI the GPUs, but this did not work either.4) I checked the device manager and both cards are listed and functional, I even double checked with GPU-Z5) I literally did the exact same steps as mentioned above with an Engineer at PNY but on Windows 10 OS on my second SSD, but it did not work either.6) Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers again but this time with advanced settings selected.7) Disabled Intel Chip-set8) Strangely enough I had a stock Sli bridge that came with the board that I attached, It was picked up in the control panel, however it said it was insufficient power to SLI the cards and gave me a link to the Nvidia site with the certified motherboards.9) Tried an ROG HB SLI bridge but would not show in the Nvidia control panel either.10) Returned the Quadro bridge and currently waiting for them to send a new one when they get more in stock directly from PNY (Not even sure if they make them anymore since Nvidia just started showing RTX and accessories for RTX only on their website.)At this point I've reached out to Asus, PNY, and Nvidia and none of the m came up with a solution to my issue. Most said it was the bridge itself, but I'm trying different bridges and they do not seem to work either. At this point I'm not even sure if I can really SLI these cards with this board or these cards cannot be paired in general unless its in a certified workstation. I saw a board that Gigabyte has out that claims is SLI 2-way with Quadros but it is not even listed on Nvidias website.I'm not sure what else to do, I've invested a lot of time and effort trouble shooting this, but I'm at a loss for how I should proceed from here. I would greatly Appreciate any help from anyone who knows more about the cards or sli in general. I also am suspicious because I'm using 6 monitors (3 in each card) and I think this also might be affecting the power draw to the cards and preventing them from communicating. Here are my specs with some screen shots, I look forward to hearing from someone with an idea of what to do in this situation. Unfortunately I returned the SLI Bridge at this point in time, and the PNY HB SLI for quadros is on back order and restock at the moment. However, I was going to try to pair again with perhaps an Nvidia GTX SLI Bridge to try to see if it would work in the mean time. Here's the Physical set-up with a comparison between the 2 HB SLI and the Nvidia SLI I was thinking of substituting in the mean time just to test as a back up.

Hello, I am running two 980 TIs in SLI and I am having an issue upping the usage of the cards on lower settings. I am running R6S on low settings to boost the frames but I am getting only 45% usage out of each at an average of 120 frames. When I increase the graphics settings, I get a higher GPU usage (up to 95% each card), but the average FPS stays around 120. Is it possible to up the frames that I am getting? My goal is to get around 200 frames at 1080p.

So i'm planning to move my pc from it's case to kind of a display wall where everything would be layed out on the wall. However it's current config is two 1080's in SLI. What i am wondering is if i were to lay the graphics cards on top of each other (backplate on the wall) and use pci-extensions to connect them to the MoBo, could i possibly connect them in SLI ? I've looked around and it seems the maximum length i can find off the shelf is 4-slot ribbon cables... not nearly long enough. If i were to create my own, would there be some kind of performance drop ? would it even work ? thanks in advance

I saw this graphics card on ebay and wanted to get it yet the seller said it is a SLI card. Will the card work on its own or will I need to buy a second card to even get the first to work? (This seems like a really stupid question, but I need to know) (MSI GTX 1080) And thank you for the response!

Current Setup: includes Motherboard: ROG: Crosshair V Formula-ZProcessor: AMD: FX-8350 Black EditionDDR3 Memory (F3-19200CL10Q-32GBZHD): 32GB of G.SKILL: Ripjaws Z SeriesGraphics Card #1: ROG: GeForce STRIX GTX 1070 O8GGraphics Card #2: ROG: GeForce STRIX GTX 1070 O8G My problem is: when i first built this computer (2 years ago) I bought 3 of these graphics cards (not realizing that the Pascal Architecture only allowed for 2 cards in SLI). Since, I couldn't run the 3 cards in SLI the 3rd card was wrapped in a plastic bag and shoved in the closet. I just bought the ASUS ROG SLI High-Bandwidth Bridge and was thinking. "what if i could put that 3rd card back into the computer and run it as a dedicated PhsyX Card". I've read the manual and know about the Expansion Slots, and Understand I will no longer run at 16x16 but at 16x8x8. Does this even matter? and will the High-Bandwidth bridge help "bridge" the performance reduction gap left from the PCIe slots? overall, I want to know if the Pascal Architecture will allow for a setup like this even exist and function properly.

I have a rig with two different GTX 1070 Tis in it atm is it worth it to get an HB SLI Bridge? And why are they like £50 a pop? I'm using the one that came with my MSI X370 Gaming Plus mobo right now, mostly gaming in 1080p but occasionally i'll use DSR or in-game render resolution settings to crank it up to 4K when the framerate allows it, but i'm using a 1080p monitor (with no plans in sight to switch to anything higher res cuz IPS is far more important to me)

i noticed that gtx 1070's are very cheap on ebay(about 200 euros) my question is if its even worth it(i already have a hb bridge)

I want the (ATX) motherboard to be around 230 USD or less and to have overclocking capabilities, in built WI-FI and sound card with at least 1 m.2 nvme slot (2 would be better ) and al least 1 usb type-c/thunderbolt 3 port, and at least 4 usb 3.0/3.1 ports and ability for crossfire and DDR4 .Any colour scheme would do (prefer without designs). Thanks in advance

Hey, So, I have somewhat of a problem after upgrading my PC. I have 2 watercooled GTX 1080Ti's in SLI that I put into vertical orientation using a custom fabricated solution mad from 2 Cooler Master Riser Kits. I also used the included Riser Cables. Both Cards detected fine in the BIOS (Only with 8 PCIE Lanes though, but I guess thats down to my damaged CPU, that also only recognizes 3 Memory Slots), so I filled up the system and booted it up. On the Windows lockscreen I immediatly noticed that there was some weird artifact which looked like my PC had 256 color mode enabled or something (See Image attached). Once Wallpaper Engine started I noticed extreme lag. After some diagnostics I thought I might be that my 3D Performance isn't working, because Normal Windows were working mostly fine. General System Performance is also fine (I'm currently writing this on the affected PC). YouTube etc also still work. After firing up a game, to find out how that would perform I found that it actually ran. Though, compared to before I had a bit more than half my previous FPS and lots of microstuttering and tearing. The Riser runs are pretty tight and bendy. My current theory is, that GPU2 is still working and GPU1 isn't. And that the processed signal is somehow passed through the SLI bridge to the other card and it's output. Device Manager also confirms that. It declares a Code 43 for the upper GPU (GPU1). I sadly have no way to acess the IO of the 2nd GPU, beacuse it's obstructed by my custom solution. I'm asking all of you if someone knows somthing I can do with Software or that someone can give me some tips on what to do hardware wise. Due to the system being watercooled tearing it apart is lots of work. Another thing to note is, that I live in Germany, I might not be able to get some products, at least not in a timely fashion (I need this PC for A LOT of Stuff :=P) Sincerly, Nick P.S. Hi all, I wanted to share with you the final build of the Cerberus X. In a way after looking at current builds monochromatic, I wanted to do something different e.g. I like Noctua fans. Overall the goal was also a silent build, even though I have a bulletproof overclock of 5ghz, I cant hear the system ramp up. 2nd goal, the smallest build considering the components. However I do not know how to OC ram on Z390 any recommendations or guides? Specifications: ASRock Z390 Taichi Ultimate Corsair Vengeance RGB 16gb 3200mhz WD Black 1TB m.2 ssd 2x 2080FE in SLI 9900k @ 5ghz at 1.33v 800w SFX-L Silverstone PSU Well I hope you like the pics. Happy to anws

Have an SLI setup and tried playing Apex Legends but got poor performance? Then look no further! So I have a 1080ti SLI setup and when i first launched the game upon release, i had immediately noticed that the utilization of GPU2 was minimal (Had the MSI Afterburner overlay enabled) I immediately recalled a time where this had once happened to me before... TITANFALL 2. Anyway the default SLI profile that nvidia runs on the game sucks. Maybe they'll release a driver update in the future with a profile that increases gpu utilization but for now you can try this: 1. Download Nvidia Inspector https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html 2. Extract all the files in the Zip to a folder of your choosing 3. Run the nvidiaprofileinspector.exe (make sure it's ran as administrator) 4. Click on the settings box located next to the driver version (image shown below) 5. Click on the Profiles bar at the top and locate Apex. As there's no profile currently defined for the game, it'll be named via it's directory such as: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex Legends\r5apex.exe 6. Now on the SLI compatibility bits line, click on it's SettingValue (should be 0x00000000 by default) and change it to the above. 7. Once done, click apply and you should be good to go! This gave me a huge fps increase in the game and hasn't given me any issues thus far. Let me know if this does/ doesn't work for you, I'm curious! P.S Sorry about the poor quality screenshots, I'm not on my home PC as I type this fix out and mostly recalling the steps from memory Hopefully this solution works for you as it did for me

We didn’t recommend using the Chinese driver in our mining GPU video, but now, we’ll show you how to make Nvidia’s drivers work for yourself – And how to go deeper. Buy a P106 (mining "GTX 1060") on Taobao: https://lmg.gg/8KV9W Buy a real GTX 1060: On Amazon: http://geni.us/rveAUH On Newegg: https://lmg.gg/8KV6B Download link for GeForce driver 416.34: https://lmg.gg/8KV93 Download link for HxD: https://lmg.gg/8KV9m Download link for DifferentSLIAuto: https://lmg.gg/8KV9P Download link for 7-Zip: https://lmg.gg/8KV9p TechPowerUp Forum Thread: https://lmg.gg/8KV91 How to mod the P106 driver Make sure Secure Boot is disabled and Windows is in testsigning mode Check your motherboard manual for information on how to disable Secure Boot Testsigning can be enabled by opening up a Command Prompt or PowerShell as administrator, then typing: bcdedit /set {current} testsigning on bcdedit /set {current} nointegritychecks on This can be done for a single boot by going to Start -> Power -> Restart and holding shift while clicking Restart, then choosing Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options, then Startup Settings - Once you get to the menu, choose to disable driver signature enforcement. After restarting, you’ll know it worked if some text is displayed in the lower right corner of your desktop Download and extract the GeForce driver using 7-Zip In the extracted folder, go to the Display.Driver folder and open nv_dispi.infusing Notepad++ Search for lines containing 1B87 (P104-100), 1BC7, (P104-101) 1C07(P106-100), and 1C09 (P106-090) Change each line's Section number to match the 1C06 (GTX 1060) line - On 416.34, that means from Section110 to Section108 On the third set of lines, the Section numbers will be different; Again change it to match the 1C06 (GTX 1060) line - On 416.34, that's Section109 to Section107 Save the file Install the driver as normal – Windows will complain that it’s unsigned; Click allow. Right-click the desktop, go to Display Settings, then Graphics Settings From here, you can force any game to use the P106 to render while your integrated GPU is used for display output. How to perform the SLI mod Make sure Secure Boot is disabled and Windows is in testsigning mode Check your motherboard manual for information on how to disable Secure Boot Testsigning can be enabled by opening up a Command Prompt or PowerShell as administrator, then typing: bcdedit /set {current} testsigning on bcdedit /set {current} nointegritychecks on This can be done for a single boot by going to Start -> Power -> Restart and holding shift while clicking Restart After restarting, you’ll know it worked if some text is displayed in the lower right corner of your desktop Install both graphics cards you wish to attempt SLI with The first three characters of the PCI device ID MUST match to enable SLI To find out what the device ID is, right-click the start button and click Device Manager In the Display adaptors list double-click the card you want to check. Under the Details tab, click the drop-down and then click Hardware IDs. It will look like this: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F07&SUBSYS_86701043&REV_A1 VEN_10DE means Nvidia, while DEV_1F07 is the device ID – In this example, an RTX 2070. So in order to run SLI, the other card’s device ID will have to also start with DEV_1F0 Download and install the GeForce driver as usual Download and extract the DifferentSLIAuto package Go to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository and sort by date Go into the newest folder beginning with nv_dispi.inf Copy the nvlddmkm.sys file to the DifferentSLIAuto folder Open the install.cmd file in the DifferentSLIAuto folder in Notepad++ Replace the three mentions of nv_dispi.inf in install.cmd with the folder name we got the nvlddmkm.sys file Open the nvlddmkm.sys we copied in a hex editor (HxD) In HxD, go to Search, then Find, then click the Hex Values tab Search for 79050fba6b240e Position the cursor at the start of these values Replace with C7432400000000 (no need to delete first, just type over it) Save the file Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking Click Start, then Power, then hold shift while clicking Reboot In the menu that comes up, click Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options, then Startup Settings (on some PCs, this may be behind a “show more options” arrow) - Once the PC reboots, press 5 on the screen that appears. Run install.cmd in the DifferentSLIAuto folder as administrator Reboot into normal mode Enable SLI (hopefully)

Hey guys, I've heard a lot that gaming with 2 grafic cards in SLI is not a good idea anymore. But why is that? Is it just not worth it beacause the performance boost is not great enough or is it beacause it doesn't work or event down right get things worse?
