I found this cool 240 aio from SilentiumPC (https://www.silentiumpc.com/en/product/navis-rgb-240/) but the tubes don't come with sleeving and I have no idea about the diameter of the tubes so I don't know what size of sleeving to buy. I was wondering if someone with an aio from the same lineup could measure the outer diameter of the tubes and send it to me. Help would be greatly appreciated.

e This my pinout for MWE gold 650 Coolermaster I know that orange are 3.3v and needs to be connected to 24pin on mobo side. but my doubt is there are more oranges on psu side which 2 needs to be joined like PSU has {7,812,16,17} at 3.3V and mobo 24pin has {1,13,14,24} What two on PSu side be connected to one of 1, 13 ,14,24?? similarly black(GRND) and

So.. I derped! I was in the middle of sleeving my brand new PSU (Aerocool P7 850W Platinum), and of course I didn't make a wiring diagram and then.. I didn't secure the pins properly, and of course some of them fell out! . I tried reaching out to Aerocool, but they only provided me with a gauge schematic, and told me the pinout was a secret???? (not a very well hidden secret, as anyone with a cable (that hasn't screwed it up) can see this! So.. Now i hope one of you fine people in here have the same PSU, and are willing to make me a simple diagram showing the connections for the 24 pin to the 10/18 pin plugs on the PSU end (just be aware its a trade secret LOL) otherwise I'll be looking at buying a new PSU, as i have 0 clue on how to measure my way out of this mess Hope on of you good people can help me out... A simple drawing of the plugs with the pins marked 1-24 will do just fine Hope someone has the same PSU and can help me out!

Hello, does anybody know the name of this type of cable? It's for 3.5mm front audio cable. I can buy this 23AWG wire but this type of isolation....I don't know the name for it.... any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, i wanted to do some sleeving on my psu cables and found these inline capacitors which really hinder my progress, because i would have to buy wider sleeving to hide them. I have read on some forums about whether or not i can remove them. People say that cable mod for example sells cables without capacitors in them, as well as the psu maker themselves, so im inclined to think that i can just remove them and it wouldnt cause any difference. My psu is RM650x. Thanks in advance to any answers.

Are all +12V pins from the PSU (6+2 & 4+4) created equal? Rather, for a single 8 wire connector, as long as the 4 ground pins on the PSU are wired to the 4 ground pins on the CPU and the 4 +12V pins on the PSU are wired to the 4 +12V pins on the CPU, does it matter if the wires don't follow the specific, factory pinout? Wall of text below. I'm creating a set of custom PSU cables for my new/first PC build in a Louqe Ghost S1 with Corsair SF600. I've traced all wires and verified the pinout with multiple other sources (everything agrees with this post). I've completed my GPU cables and made them exactly the same pinout as the stock wires, putting the twists/crossovers behind the PSU (out of sight, out of mind). I think I can hide the crossovers in 24-pin cable behind the GPU cable connections on the PSU side. Where I'm running into the dilemma is the 8 pin CPU cable; due to the orientation of my components if I follow the stock pinout there will be a big ugly twist front and center, no matter where i put it, instead of a showcase of neatly sleeved and organized wires. Hence my original question. I am fairly certain that it won't matter as these are power delivery and not signal wires. My guess is that they are probably pinned in the easiest way to split up the stock black ribbons at each connector, but I have never done this before and don't want to fry any components for small vanity. I have searched all over and the closest answer I could find was a thread where someone talking about how the custom cables they ordered did not match the pinout of their stockcables. They were told by the creator of said cables that they will work just fine but it was an old post that died out before ever giving a solid answer. Work preview below as tribute. MDPCX Shade 19, Platinum, and Vanilla Sands, will post full build pics once complete

Hello. I currently have my psu pcie cable sleeved in this https://www.hilltop-products.co.uk/pvc-tubing-6mm.html#.W9r11mmnw0M However I am looking for some sort of cable comb product to help spread the wires out. I know I should have gone with smaller sleeving as I currently have 2 wires in each tube. Any suggestions?

Hello! I am looking for a pinout chart for a ThermalTake Toughpower Grand 750W RGB 80+ Gold *RGB Sync Edition* How ever can't find one. I did a stupid mistake and didn't make one when I was sleeving now I don't know which cable goes where. Also does it matter how the pcie cables is wired up?

Hey guys so I just bought a new Evga G3 psu and am going to be ordering a kit of sleeved cables for it so I really want to find some cable combs to do the cables justice. I mean after all if you are spending 120 bucks on custom cables you might as well get some combs to make it look nicer, I just can't seem to find anywhere I can buy them thats Canadian or doesn't have outrageous shipping/high prices. Anyone know a good place that ships to Canada for decent prices or a Canadian site? The cables I'm buying are the BitFenix Alchemy 2.0, and they are going in an evga g3 650W. Thanks!

So I was looking into buying custom cables but ran into a few issues. One of them being Nylon vs Paracord. Which one of the two is the more matte one? One Video talks about how Paracord is more glossy (I'm German, sorry!) while another guy told me in the comments that Nylon is the more glossy one! I'm confused. HELP! Another thing that I'm not sure about is whether or not it's okay to use two seperate cables for one device (I guess it should be fine but I wanna make sure). My 980Ti requires an 8 pin and a 6 pin cable but CableMod for example doesn't sell an 8+6 pin cable (except for the more expensive custom one). Would I be fine connecting an 8 pin and a 6 pin cable to my GPU as opposed to an 8+6 pin cable? My next Question would be whether or not CableMods white cables are proper white. Videos are all nice and dandy but personal experience is worth more. Do any of you own white cables? Are they white or are the a very light grey? Do any of you know of some good looking internal 20pin usb cables that don't look like crap? I was looking at this cable, which is fine but a sleeved one like that would be perfect. https://www.moddiy.com/products/USB-3.0-20%2dPin-Internal-Header-Adapter-Cable-(Low-Profile-Connector).html?setCurrencyId=3 Thanks for the help!

Will it work to do the arc this (you know the thing where you make the inner cable shorter than the outer cable) on fully sleeved psu cables or will this only work on extenions??

Does it really matter if i use 16 awg wire for sleeving my psu cables instead of 18 awg, does it justify the extra cost.
-
Do you know any good wire crimpers mainly for crimping psu cables 18-16 awg for around 20$ more or less. P.S. It's important that they work good on both 16 and 18 awg wire.

When looking to buy paracord for cable sleeving I noticed that stores that sold paracord with cable sleeving in mind were about 5x more expensive than store selling it for other purposes. Is there any difference between the 2? Can I use either for the job? thanks

I am going to be sleeving my cables for the first time and just want to clear some things up before I go ahead and by what I need first, what size cable should I use? Also what terminal should I need, is it different for each component? also I am not fully sure on what wires I will have in the build. Because my case has tempered glass on both sides (Phanteks enthoo evolv tg) I want to sleeve all the cables possible i wish to sleeve full length cables and not extensions this is my part list: CPU: Intel - Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston - HyperX Fury Black 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Storage: PNY - CS1311 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Seagate - BarraCuda 1TB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GT OCV1 Video Card Case: Phanteks - Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair - RMx 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Case Fan x4: Corsair - ML140 Pro 97.0 CFM 140mm Fan Other: Custom water loop thanks in advance

Is there anyone here that knows the diameter of cablemod - C-Series ? Its Modflex sleeving I am looking for cable combs either 3 or 4mm ones, On the Cablemod homepage i can get combs that fit but they do not sell 14 slot witch is the ones that i need. Also they are alot cheaper at E22

I am in the process of creating custom sleeved cables for my evga 850 g2 and I have been searching everywhere for the answer to this question with no success. Some of the double wires for the 24 pin power connector are 18 awg and some are 22. I thought I remember at some point reading something about the psu using the difference in resistance of the two differently gauged wires to monitor/regulate voltage. Will using different or even all the same gauge wire affect this? I have a ton of 16 gauge wire and just ordered some 18 and 22 just in case I need to replicate it exactly however I'd rather use the thicker gauge wire if it will be better (even just theoretically I know the difference probably wouldn't be noticeable in real world performance).

Hi guys, long time Linus fan here but new in the forum. I'm a sleever and cable maker from Italy, today I'd like to share with you some of my most interesting and unique works I've had a sweet spot for custom cables ever since I became a PC enthusiast, and lately I've been experimenting with braids, new materials, cable illumination, and a lot of other fancy things. Cable making today is kind of a dying sector of modding for a lot of reasons and I'm quite sad about it. I hope to inspire other people into getting to try it! Opinions and critics are very appreciated Silver cables: only electrical cable - no sleeving. The cable is silver-plated copper with transparent teflon insulation, really high quality stuff that is usually used in aerospace applications. It reflects and refracts light like no other and it's truly wonderful in a well-lighted and/or RGB build: the more light you give around it, the more it starts looking like illuminated optical fiber. Braided cables: after trying my hand with a really complex prototype that was looking wonderful but wasn't able to finish completely (inspired by the Crysis nanosuit), I went on doing more simple braidings. However there's still much more to be experimented in this area! Would really love to see what other people come up with

Hello, Im working on the custom cables for my first watercooled pc, and I ran into an area where I could potentially streamline the plugs a little bit. I have my Alphacool D5 pump that uses a molex connector (using 12v and Gnd), and a NZXT USB hub that uses a molex as well, this time using the 5v and Gnd. Is it possible, since Ive already repinned and sleeved these cables, to combine them into one Molex connector? Thus eliminating a connector that I would add to my custom power cables for that section of the case. (Please note that Im inquiring about this because I enjoy efficiency, not out of laziness!) Are there any issues that this would cause? Is it a bad idea to run multiple components from one plug? Your help and advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks! (I think this is the correct place for this question, Im sorry if theres a better location!)

Hello there. Since the ethereum craze means that my PC can't shine in terms of performance (no GPUs), I decided to go down the aesthetics path. I have bought a nice, new case with a massive acrylic window (scared of tempered glass shattering into millions of pieces) which I am very happy with. But it has a caveat: It exposes the ugly cables of my cheap PSU. Having done a solid amount of research I still haven't found a budget friendly way to hide my "ketchup and mustard" power cables under some sleeving. I have looked into prefabricated kits (they seem to only be compatible with expensive *af* PSUs) and also into doing it myself (I don't really know how that works and it seems to be rather pricey as well) Is there any sort of trick that I am missing? Is there a way to get a decent PSU with sleeved cables under a 100€? I don't have much more money to spend, because I am still a student. Thanks for any advice you can give me. J
