I would like to plug two or three coaxial cables and a couple HDMI cables into my computer some how and have them show up in Windows Media Center or something like that. I want to have my entertainment center go through my computer. I thought about a TV Tuner. I would like to channel all of my entertainment things into my computer so I can seamlessly switch between all of it through one system.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I am having kind of an issue with my games. When I start a game it goes into full screen but the computer screen goes black for a minute and then the game appears. If I minimize the game and open it again the same thing happens. This is a new problem in my computer it worked perfectly before I installed Metro Last Light Redux, but it does not just happen with that particular game it happens with all my full screen games. I reinstalled my Nvidia drivers, Directx 11, vcredist and others and still have the same issue. If anyone could help me I would be really thankful.

Without them it would be prohibitively expensive for us to come to the show and bring you guys this content, so I'd like to express my sincere gratitude towards our sponsors because they (and you) make it possible for us to keep doing what we're doing, which is arguably one of the coolest jobs in the world. They've both been great partners and asked for pretty much nothing other than mentions in our videos, which gives us the freedom to create the content we feel you guys will enjoy. Huge thanks again to our two sponsors :') Our gold sponsor this year is the HyperX YouTube channel. They are posting a LOT of awesome new content every week with eSports personalities that is genuinely interesting and entertaining. Click this link or the logo above to learn more! And our silver sponsor for our coverage of PAX Prime 2014 is Phantom Glass! Their gorilla glass screen protectors are our new favorite here at Linus Media group. And due to an overwhelming amount of requests from you guys, they are now offering international shipping here!! Check out their site here!

So when I was doing a t-shirt design for LTT I thought I'd give a copy of the WAN show logo in high resolution to anyone who needed it. The file is an illustrator file so it is not a rasterized image. If you want a rasterized version (e.g. JPEG or PNG) then just select the required version in the download drop down tab. WAN Show Logo (No Outlines) -> http://adobe.ly/1q3xeeE WAN Show Logo (With Outlines) -> http://adobe.ly/1p10TBd *(Illustrator files are not rasterized images (JPEG or PNG etc) which means they can be scaled to any size with no quality loss) To download the file just click in the top right -> Download (Then select your required version). WAN Show Logo (No Outlines) WAN Show Logo (With Outlines) Thanks, Blueprint

Is iSwitched to Linux ever going to happen?
wtf_are_my_initials posted a topic in General Discussion
A few months ago on the WAN Show, I remember Linus and Luke tossing around the idea of an iSwitched to Linux, where Linus would switch to Linux as his day-to-day OS for a month. I got super excited when I heard them talking about the idea, but they haven't mentioned it since. Are there still any plans of actually doing this or no? -
To admin and moderators, I tried doing a search on when the next WAN show is happening. I would like to join in on the converstations via live stream in chat however I never can find where it is going to happen until after it is uploaded to YouTube and I am usually a day or two late... Thanks one and all.. Feel free to move this to the proper place. Cheers!

Look at 9:50 in this . I wanna know what the name of that sound effect is. It sounds like the menu selection sfx from Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PS2, or some other select sfx from MvC2. I'm using Windows 7, so if they were using 8 it may not be on my install by default. When I go under C:\Windows\Media you can see all these folders with collections of .wav sound effects. From what I can tell none them are the one from the video. Is it true that only .wav files will work? So no MP3s, MP4s, FLAC,etc?

I'm finding that the chat for the WAN Show on twitch is one of the worst I've encountered. I recommend turning on slow mode, so everyone can read the chat and you can read the chat. It seems like there has been less and less user interaction on twitch after the WAN Show became popular, so slow mode will allow you to read what people say when you ask for opinions on the show's topics.

First of, this is not a copy of show of your setup because I am asking for cool desks specifically. Ok, so i would like it if you could post some pictures of your desk to giver me inspiration for my own desk and whoever else needs it. Thanks!

I know linus has mentioned that they havent done any unboxings lately and mentioned that no one has made a comment about it but I'm sure I'm not the only one that misses unboxings! However if I am feel free to let me know haha.

Linus and Slick were really at each others necks about the keyboard thing.. It made it even more awkward how.abruptly the show ended and with no outro. You guys think everythings good?

Hello everyone! If I'm breaking any rules (again), please tell me! But I'm not trying to get in on LMG... Just I thought it would be nice to listen to the WAN show as a podcast when i'm out, so thought other people may appreciate it too So, I'm working to squeeze down the audio tracks from the WAN shows to 30mb and put them on Podbean... here's a link! http://maglev.podbean.com/ Enjoy the low bitrate mp3s!

Is the WAN show on tonight?

Has the WAN show ever been published as a podcast before? If not, do you guys think it would be a good idea so you can listen to it on the go? Blueprint

So i saw this kickstarter, and I was wondering if this is going to help kids learn programming. I just wanted to show you Linus (if you see this) and hopefully you will talk about this on the wan show. Btw if you see this Linus could you please try to pronounce "Eyjafjallajökull" on the wan show, it will be funny. Well my guest request would be a forum members Alpenwasser and Sneff as there builds are awesome. Also youtuber Singularity Computers cause his knowledge on modding and builds would be great to hear about. Just a thought

The Steam Show-Off Thread! Where you can show off how many games you have, how many hours you have played, how much your account is worth and how much total space it would take if installed. Go to Steam gauge to 'gauge' these values. I'll start off: Over the last 4 years, you've spent 1640.3 hours playing this selection, which includes 158 items, is valued at $2169.65, and requires 733.86 GB source: http://www.mysteamgauge.com/search?username=ericrules30 Hopefully this thread hasn't been done before :P

Title is pretty self explanatory.. Ok so originally this was for shows such as the livestream from Linus and The Tek.. Shows that were lengthy and contained mainly just general tech discussion. HOWEVER people have been posting loads of review, unboxing and other tech related channels so I'm changing the general theme of channels posted here to just tech related channels. I'm going to try to add short descriptions of each channel to "The List" below, So if you can post a brief little bit of information about the channel then that would really help me out thanks :) I'll start it off. Behind the LinusTechTips Livestream it has to be The Tek: http://www.youtube.com/razethew0rld - Runs 30+min shows getting through tech news fast and in detail. Next up is probably The Tech Source: http://www.youtube.com/TheTechSource - More about hardware, typically shows are shortish And finally theres the Verge & the Vergecast: http://www.youtube.com/TheVerge - Long but very professionally done. - The only reason I put The Vergecast last is because they don't really delve into the more 'underground' topics like hardware releases, more often then not, they end up talking about smartphones lol... I Will always watch Linus' stream and The Tek, and the other two are down to how much free time I have.. Anyway, Post your favourite tech shows, I'm interested to see what else there is out there EDIT: For reference of anyone else out there who visits this thread, I'm going to post and new suggestions people make (In the order received) up in this original post in the list below: THE LIST NOTE: I'm trying to categorise different channels content. Most channels are either hardcore hardware or really 'deep' tech stuff OR they are just general consumer stuff like smartphones. So when you see "consumer technology" I mean NOT anything hardcore (if that even makes sense) Linus Tech Tips Videos: Reviews Unboxings Guides and Tutorials Benchmark Comparisons Vlogs Builds Mainly Focusing on Computer hardware but sometimes venturing out to smartphones or other consumer tech. http://www.twitch.tv/linustech (stream) http://www.youtube.com/LinusTechTips http://www.linustechtips.com Tech Quickie Run by Linus Media Group.
