Hello everyone, So I have a pretty decent build, i5 4590, R9 390, etc... and am not satisfied. So, I created a custom water-cooling loop for it. Still not satisfied. So i was thinking of selling it and starting over. Ive only used it for about a week, but had it for longer. The total amount in USD of parts in this build adds up to around 1500 dollars, so I figured I could sell it for 1200-1300 dollars. My question: should I sell it and go for something like this:? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/rowanhazard/saved/#view=bQk48d Original Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/rowanhazard/saved/#view=qjF7YJ (don't actually have three CPU coolers, just simulating the price of the loop.) Thanks, Rowan

Hey all, as I've been planning on building a new system, I've chosen the GTX 1070 as my new card. Now, I know that the 1070's release date is on the 10th. I'm hoping to be picking one up as soon as possible. So my questions are... - Are the custom, non "founders edition", cards going to be released on the 10th as well? - Are they going to be vastly available that first day? If so, where? - Will they sell out super soon? Any help is greatly welcomed, thanks in advance.

Fellow LTT people! I have some parts left over from my oldish HP prebuilt, and im thinking of selling them to a non-techie friend of mine. All the parts are: i5-4440 with hp stock cooler (not intel basic one) IPM-87MP (h87 motherboard if i remember correctly) 300w PSU HP case with 60mm fan. He will buy RAM and GPU himself. I had the PC for maybe a year then the CPU and motherboard for a few months in my new build, before upgrading to the i5-4690k and Z97 PRO GAMER. I'm still wondering how it never overheated, as it had a GTX 645(sold already) and the i5with the notsogood cooler, and only a single 60mm fan cooling it in the back??? We were talking something like 170€ for it all+building it for him, what do you think? Too much (am I ripping him off )? Not enough?

Hi, so I need to sell some stuff to get extra money for VR. I recently built a New Gaming PC so i was thinking about selling my old PC with 2 Monitors on craigslist or something. How much do you think i can sell this for a reasonable price (US)?!?! Everything's in good condition and has been dusted and cleaned. PC SPECS - DELL INSPIRON (Pretty Thin Too) DESKTOP Windows 10 PRO (Clean Install) Intel Pentium CPU : Dual Core 2.60GHz 3gbs of Ram {I believe there is a} Integrated Intel HD GPU 500gb HDD Its not really a Gaming PC, but like a Everyday task PC. Pretty Quiet too. Also, don't know if the Windows 10 PRO can increase the price or not so.... External Features: VGA Port 6 USBs Ethernet Port 3 Audio Ports (with 2 in front) 1 Optical Drive Monitors (Both are Dell and 60Hz i think) 22' 900p Monitor (With VGA and HDMI Port) 24' 1080p Monitor (With VGA and DVI Port) BUT there is a SLIGHT kinda pink fade on the VERY right side of the Screen. But only noticeable if you REALLY pay attention to it and if theres something white on the screen. Still works fine though It also will come with a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. The only thing that doesn't really come with it is Audio Since its VGA. But if they have there own audio or headphones, then all good. Please help me. Thanks

Hi guys, i found someone who wants to buy my notebook. Of course I cant give it to him the way it is right now. I need to erase my private data and the Windows 10 license (the laptop came with Windows 10 Home installed) has to go into his ownership. I saw that Windows 10 has a built in reset option ( Start>Settings>Update&Security>Recovery) that deletes all files. -> But what about the user name? Wouldn't I actually have to re-install Windows and then enter his Name so that his Username folder gets created? When I first got the laptop and started it for the first time, Windows was installed but I had to enter my Name etc and this stuff got created. Is there a way to do this again? Does anyone have experience with selling laptops (and Windows included) and can give me some advise? If there is a better sub-forum for this question please tell me / move this thread. Thanks in advance!

A few years ago I built my dream system.... Well almost my dream system, I ran out of money and had to stop short of what I ultimately had envisioned. Over the last few years I have added some upgrades to keep it somewhat up to date but now I am looking to get rid of it. You can see the build here: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/61434-build-log-white-banshee-caselabs-sth10-maximum-watercooling/ . Since then I have updated the system to include better looking hardline tubing as well as an EK water-cooled 290x. I have been out of the PC Building space for a few years and I really do not know a) what the system is worth, and b) what the best way to sell it would be. Should I break it down and try to sell it as parts or would I be better off trying to sell the whole system? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Ps3 that I bought In 2014 and I was wondering how much should I sell it for. Things to consider: 1. I took care of the system (no damage to system, controller or games) and kept it in the best shape 2. I have 3 games (The Last Of Us, BF3 and Gta V) and a couple of demos 3. 500gb harddrive 4. super slim model 5. one controller i was also wondering if I should buy black ops 3 and include it with the ps3? So yeah how much is a reasonable price to sell it for??

Hello guys, So, I am doing a system build on a budget and was wondering if there is a good deal on a gtx 960 4gb or 380 or what not? I would like to fit a 4gb card in the budget pc but it won't work with the full retail price of a new one, so?

At the moment I'm thinking about upgrading some of my hardware, but that depends on how much it will cost me, if I get some money back by selling the old stuff. So I want to upgrade my CPU, the RAM and my mainboard (maybe my case aswell, but I'm not sure). Mainboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IV Extreme(-Z (I'm not quiet sure, I'll look this up) Processor: Intel i7 2700-K Ram: GeIL Corsa 4x4GB 1333mHz Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer (some parts are repainted and I exchanged the fans) What do you think I, how much money would I get, if sell those parts? Or would you wait with upgrading the hardware? (My GPU is a R9 390)

My computer/build is in my spoiler. I have had it for 1-2 years so far. Have only had it oc'd for a total of 15 minutes (I think) otherwise stock settings. Custom fan profile. Need to know anything else? Edit: I live in Sweden.

So, as the new year is upon us, and Intel's new CPU line is out, and I have more funds than I did for my last build, I'm maybe planning on a new system. Not sure of the parts, or the price of the system, but I am sure that I would like to get some of the money repurposing my old system. And as I don't have any friends to pawn the system off to, I'll most likely just sell as a whole online. So, what would some of you say I could sell my system for on Ebay (or an alike site)? My specs are as follows: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD FX6300 EVGA GTX 750Ti 8GB HyperX Fury RAM EVGA 500W 80Plus PSU CoolerMaster N200 Case WD 1TB Blue Drive 2 Things that MAY also be included: Asus 24x DVD Optical Drive TP-Link N900 Wireless Card Of course take into mind that the system is used, so there are some marks on the case and stuff. Also, the drive would be wiped and I would reinstall the windows on it (as the key is linked to the board). Thanks in advance. -JGunnz

I obviously am not going to sell my computer without getting rid of all the applications, files, and user settings. How can I basically restore this to factory settings while keeping my copy of Windows? I own a laptop and I believe it's windows 8.1, but don't quote me on that. Not sure if it's relevant.

Hi everyone, I've a PC that for the life of me I cannot get rid of. I've listed it on Craigslist and ebay and no one seems to want to bite. It is an old and dated build but still relevant for modern gaming. It's probably the pricing that is deterring people so I was wondering if you guys can help me figure out the right price it should sell for. Here are the components. CASE-CM HAF 922 USB 2.0 MOBO-ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 CPU- FX 6300 @ 4.3 GHZ COOLER-CM HYPER EVO 212 GPU-ASUS GEFORCE GTX 670 DIRECTCUII RAM-CORSAIR VENGEANCE 8GB 1600MHZ SSD-SAMSUNG EVO 120GB HDD-TOSHIBA 1TB PSU-CORSAIR CX500M MISC-CM STORM KEYBOARD AND MOUSE RED LED, WIFI USB ADAPTER, LG DVD/CD READER/WRITER, LED LIGHTS WITH REMOTE. Can you guys help me consider the best price to sell it for? I've had it listed to sell for as low as 400$ so maybe it's a bit too high? Any help is much appreciated! Edit* Here is a link for how it looks if that also affects buying it. http://imgur.com/a/t6klR

Right now I have one GTX 780. I didn't pay a dime for it. I have a PS4 that is useless to me so I am going to sell it. I can probably sell it to my grandfather to use for his new house as a DVD player. If I get $350 for it then I will have enough to buy another 780. I am still trying to sell my Shield Tablet on the Classfields. I have some other money saved, too. So should I get another 780 and an ROG Swift or wait until Pascal to get a GTX _80? GTX 970's are not really an option for me because I need the extra CUDA cores. 750W should also be just barely enough, correct? 640w from the CPU and GTX 780s should be fine on the RM750 from what I think.

Hi guys I am trying to sell my Ableton Push MIDI controller that I hardly ever used since I got it in October, and I am trying to find the best and safest place to sell it. I am trying to sell it on craigslist but, I am just getting scammers/bots. I want to do eBay or Amazon, but I am afraid of getting screwed too. So I guess my question is, where should I sell it, LTT classifieds, ebay, or what?
