Hey everyone.. i asked a question week ago for my current cooler master 850w psu that is it good enough for my build?.. i am using that supply for quite a while and people said that it is a really old supply i shouldn't use it anymore.. that got me scared.. but since i just bought a 3080ti i can't buy a new supply right now because of my financial issues.. my friend has a seasonic 1050w psu and he is giving me that for very cheap and I don't have to pay him immediately. So i am attaching the picture of both psu .. my current cooler master and my friend seasonic psu.. please suggest me if i should switch to my friends psu. Hi I'm planning on a new editing and motion design rig I've already bough a ryzen 9 5900x and a b550 MSi mb Case is 4000d Looking for the psu GPU will be RTX 3060 12GB I was thinking between Seasonic Focus GX 750W and Corsair RM750x. I had the oppurtunity to try the latter for a pc rig and the integrated caps in the cabled really pissed me off. So i was looking for an alternative Not to mention, in italy the seasonic is like 50 bucks cheaper which one should i buy? thanks

BACKSTORY: Hello! I woke up the other morning to the sound of my son trying to create an electrical fire with cola and 120v ac. I narrowed his system down to being okay aside from a dead evga power supply which seemed to be tripping a coil. Having a spare Seasonic SSR1000GD on the shelf, but far overkill for his i5-8400 and 1650 setup, I pulled the m12 Evo 2 unit out of my pc and put it in his case. This of course left me needing to install a unit in mine. THE PROBLEM: With the SSR1000GD I noticed only too late that it had third party cables (i bought it from an IT clearance), but they're not labeled. I intended to buy cablemod cables after new years, but would like my PC in the mean time. My question is, does anyone have a pinout for the 24 pin and other style connectors for the motherboard? This way I can verify my PSU cabling is correct, and can be used without component killing risks involved. I'm adept with wiring, but my experience is automotive and I'm not sure where to find a good source for pinouts, but my fluke and I are ready if anyone can help. Thanks so much for taking the time to read, and any insight provided. TLDR; I need motherboard pinout so I don't fry my shit with aftermarket cables.

My Seasonic PSU came with the "paperclip" dongle, but it shorts the pins 3 and 4, not 4 and 5 like many other websites suggest when searching for "How to turn on a PSU without a motherboard?". Am I safe to use this paperclip adapter with every psu since 24pin is the same each time, or this is only for Seasonic? Thank you for the answers!

Recently I'm a bit worried that my 650W Silverstone gold isn't enough to to power a R5 3600 with a 3080. So I did some research, Outervision - a site I usually use gave me 600W actual power load with my build. But I decided to try other calculators even ones from PSU makers to just be sure...on boy the results are all over the place. so here is the table in order of Source. Calculated load. (Recommended PSU) Cooler Master 602W (650-850+W) Corsair N/A (650-1000+W) BeQuiet N/A (750-850W) (750W unit showing a 82% load) Seasonic N/A (850+w) Newegg 800+899w (up sale much??) PC part picker 589W Outervision 596W (650W) [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LMKfY9) That's a 300 W difference between lowest to highest estimates... I can fit another low end PC in here...

My Seasonic power cord while it is connected to the psu and it certainly feels snug, it wiggles a bit if I apply a bit of force and it looks like it is sagging. The cord is not brand new and it seems that it got a little bit saggy due to its own weight over time. Will it cause issues over time? Like a loose connection?

So, since I have seen this I have been in love with these things and really want them in my upcoming build but I can't find anything to tell me where they are, Does anyone know the latest update on this cause I am really interested in them. I have tried to look around I can find a listing on Amazon where they are like 200 dollars and are not from Seasonic so that just seems sketchy at best. If anyone knows any details it would be greatly appreciated.

My PSU was found to be beyond saving and was refunded, as described in this thread. So, my computer currently consists of: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO (rev. 1.0) AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Asus x Noctua RTX 3070 OC 2 * 16 = 32 GB RAM, G-Skill Ripjaws, 3600 Megatransfers Arctic liquid freezer II 280 without offset mount (I got one, I'll install during next maintenance) M.2 NVMe and two 2.5" SSD for storage PCIe 3.0x1 WiFi card that I can remove if needed be. Case: Fractal Design North* soon, modified CoolerMaster HAF XB EVO for now. I really liked how SeaSonic Vertex PX looks "on paper". Sadly soonest it'll be in stock is 2023.03.30 and that's a long time to wait for me. But I can wait, if it's worth it. Or I can biy something else. I'm open for recommendations. What I want from my PSU is: Future proof. I'm skipping current gen, but I hope the PSU will last me a good amount of time. Fully modular. I'm just like that. Good warranty. I buy as a company, so EU protections for consumers does not apply to me. And as seen now, warranty is important. In stock, or in stock soon, in Poland or anywhere in EU, so I can buy without worrying about import duties and Value Added Tax. Anti-requirement: cost is least important as I can get a business financing if needed. I don't want to waste money, but if spending is reasonable and beneficial, I can spend. Please, help me decide. ------------- * I'm yet to decide if I'll use version with window or mesh side, I have until my client, bulk seller company, will get a cargo container of these to sell.

Hi all, I made a post awhile back asking if i should use my 10 year old power supply with a 4080, I have it running now and everything is running fine but i would like to upgrade my power supply soon as i know i am putting my PC at a bit of a risk running it. I currently have a Corsiar ax850w Gold. I would like to spend around £210 for a new power supply that will last me a few years. below i have 2 PSU's i like but unsure that to go with I like Corsair as i currenlty have one and it has a direct 16pin! and i heard seasonic is really reliable Any advice? https://www.scan.co.uk/products/1000w-asus-tuf-gaming-gold-fully-modular-80plus-gold-single-rail-833a-135mm-fan-atx-psu or https://www.scan.co.uk/products/1000w-seasonic-prime-gx-full-modular-80-plus-gold-sli-crossfire-single-rail-83a-135mm-fan-atx-psu Thanks all

Hello, Background: I just built my first PC!! My case is the 5000D airflow. I have 6 intake fans and 4 output fans (3 from the AIO on the top and one in back). Running i9-1300k and rtx 4080 Was going to get a 1000HX Corsair PSU, but the salesman suggested instead the Seasonic brand of which they only had the 1300W available. Same price. My PC is virtually silent even with all 10 case fans running at 500rpm, while web browsing, light usage. Issue: My 1300w Seasonic PSU is on hybrid mode, so the fan is off until it needs cooling. It is installed with the vent and fan upward to help dissipate heat when the fan is not on as per instructions. However, during light or almost no usage, the fan comes on every 10 min for about 60 seconds. And when it comes on it is very noticeable. Like it only has one speed. High. From what I gather it is not possible to control the fan settings or speed other than the hybrid switch at the back. Because this is my first build, I am not sure if this is normal PSU behavior. Question: Should I return the Seasonic 1300w PSU and get the 1000HX Corsair? That or I am tempted to put another case fan in just below the gpu and above the PSU to constantly blow air down. I can't hear the case fans anyway, so one more wouldn't hurt. Ha. Suggestions or input would be appreciated. Thanks

My PSU is making this weird electrical sparking sounds, that varies acording to the system load.... It's a Seasonic Snowsilent 1050W Platinum Full Modular SS-1050XP3. I bought it in 2016, so technically it has warrant, but I've already opened it, so I guess its void. I think that it's probably one component, but I can't identify it. If someone can point me in the right direction (capacitor,transformer,etc..), it will save me a ton of time. PSU.mp4

I bougt this kit from CableMod and just to be safe, I would like to know if they are compatible with my NZXT C750. It's actually a Seasonic PSU with NZXT branding according to this review from Toms Hardware (NZXT C Series 750W Power Supply Review | Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com)). Anyway, I just want to be sure it won't explode. I don't quite understand how compatility list on CableMods website works (Compatibility – CableMod US Store) but they list Seasonic PSU's, so I hope it's ok.

So i currently have an 750watt CM MWE Gold and it cant handle the powerspikes my 3080 is having. Im looking to buy an seasonic powersupply with like 850watt. Now my question was, How well do the seasonic and 3080 work together, can the seasonic unit handle the spikes the 3080 creates? Does anyone have experience with it?

Hey all, so I’m in the process of my new build, just trying to find out the SAFEST most RELIABLE PSU for the build regarding power delivery and ‘supply’ for the build. the build: 12900KS 3090FE NH-D15 approx 10 noctua case fans (4) M.2 SSD’s with about (4) 2.5” SSD’s (2) mechanical HDD’s for storage. the budget isn’t a factor, just looking for what should be “enough, or a bit more than enough” PS: the only reason I’m going seasonic is because of how much Linus recommends it in his videos. No other reason. I would have easily gone with the 1600W EVGA if I had no other choice case: 7000D board: Z690 E Strix

so i have a mini itx pc planning on buying a low profile cooler Noctua AM4 to pull air and throw it at the psu fan and then that exits out the back System setup 140mm fan intake from top with noctua pull configuration to the (seasonic sfx800) psu fan which then exhaust out the rear cpu 5600G question is, is this alright for the psu?

Hey everyone, I'm working on a new build but I've reached a roadblock in deciding on which PSU is most suitable for it. The components I've decided on so far being CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F Motherboard: MSI B660M Mortar DDR4 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 2x8GB 3600Mhz GPU: GTX 1660 Super (to be carried over from current PC) My PSU choices are split between Cooler Master G700 Gold, MWE Bronze V2 230V 700W, Seasonic Core GX-650, SF Legion HX Gold 650W I'm aware the wattage is more than enough for my 1660S but I'd like to keep the PSU for the long term when I plan to upgrade a few years down the road. I have my eyes on the 3060/3060Ti but unfortunately I don't see that happening so soon. So with that upgrade goal in mind, which PSU between the four would you guys think would be the best choice? Thanks in advance.

I have to choose between 3 PSUs: Seasonic S12III 650W, Corsair CX650M, and Cooler Master MWE 650. All are 80+ Bronze. I think the cooler master one is DC to DC. im not so sure about the others. Which one do you recommend?

I've narrowed my choices of new PSU down to the EVGA P+ 1300 and the Seasonic Prime 1300 Gold as they both seem good and I can get them for about the same price. Which of these would you go with and why?

I'm running Windows 10 Pro, with a 3400g, 6600xt Red Devil, a B450m pro-m2 max, and what I think is the problem my seasonic s12III 500. It usually restarts when playing demanding games and stress test. It also never gives me a blue screen and just hard restarts
