So im having trubble with getting Windows 8.1 installed on this M.2 ssd. sofar ive looked at some toturials that were surposed to enable the controller that makes sure the m.2 device is correctly detected and validated. altho i did go trough a few different methods and steps. the few times i whent trough it all to the install page where u select the hdd/ssd/storrage device to install your preffered OS on, it tells me that the device i whant to install my OS on: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. this computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu. well, thats what ive bin trying to do in the bios allready. any bulletproff guid to do this? would love to get this pc rocking now x)

Hello there! i just bought the Sabertooth x99, and need some help to find out wich M.2 ssd is the best i can get that fits the M.2 slot on the Mobo. it will only contain the OS so if 128gb is anough for the upcomming Windows10 thats all i need. So wich SSD will it be? i needs to have Gen3 x4 and 128gb is all i know :3 -
Hey guys, I have a question about the Asus Sabertooth Mark 1 regarding SLI. I'm using i7 4790k and Asus GTX 970. I'm thinking about getting another 970 so i can dual sli. The motherboard says that it supports SLI but i was wondering if it is going to run PCIe 3.0 x8/x8 or PCIe 2.0 x8/x8. On the website it says 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (Single at x16, dual at x8/x8). Thanks in advance guys.

My motherboard Sabertooth z87 bios don't support the 4th gen processors.. I can't get past post with my new computer so I have to use the utility usb bios flashback there is a file on the ASUS website for the new bios however I'm not too sure how to format it correctly onto the USB ready to be used. The ASUS website dosnt make IT clear Please help The file is: BIOS updates for New 4th gen Intel core processors (version: 2.00.02)

Hi everybody, again! Here I am with another question.. I'm just casually looking for what to buy for my new rig and searching for a motherboard. I want to buy a decent Z87/Z97 with stable and good OC capabilities, good onboard audio and NIC. Onboard PR buttons and debug LED would be nice too. So, I found MSI Z87 MPOWER SP and ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 quite attractive at their price point. What do you guys suggest? Maximum what I can spend for the motherboard is 150€ in Lithuania (where I live). And I will be putting a i5-4460 in it... *"no need for Z87/Z97" comments coming*. I'm going to use the potential of Z87/Z97 later, since I'm going to upgrade to an OCable CPU, but I don't want to buy a low end MB now and stick with it until I save up the money for an overclockable set. Going to use my rig for content creation (audio editing, music creation, video editing/effects, photo editing and etc.) as well as light gaming and browsing, document creating... What's your advice? Hi guys, I have an LSI MegaRAID 9240-8i 8-port RAID card with 4x3TB Barracuda's attached, I'm looking for a new motherboard throw it in to relieve pressure on my current rig. I found this article online specifying approved motherboards, but none of them are available any longer. http://www.lsi.com/downloads/Public/RAID%20Controllers/RAID%20Controllers%20Common%20Files/MegaRAID_Entry_Interop_List_SAS2.pdf The closest thing I could find to them was a Sabertooth 990FX from Asus: http://www.ncix.com/detail/asus-sabertooth-990fx-r2-0-atx-de-75613.htm I've used a Sabertooth X58 (my cousin bought one, and I installed it for him), very nice board so i'm not concerned at all with buying another TuF series board. Does anyone have any other motherboards that they know work decently with this card? I have a Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H that REFUSES to recognize the RAID array on the card, or i'd throw it in there in a pinch. Thanks, Calvin

I recently had a Mobo blow a MOSFET. I replaced it with an Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0. After assembly on the test bench, I have a solid red cpu led. *System specs: *FX 6350 *Cooler Master Seidon 120v Cooler *Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 *8gb (2x4) Kingston Hyper-x Blu red series 1600 Ram *R9-290 *Corsair Tx750m Powersupply *Things I have tried already to no avail: *Clear CMOS *Replace Cmos battery *Quadruple check and reseat 24 pin power connector and 8 pin cpu power connector *Reseat CPU multiple times *Check CPU for bent or damaged pins with magnifying glass *Replace Liquid cooler with Stock Heatsink and fan *Flash BIOS 1604 to Mobo *Tried with 2 sticks, 1 stick, and no sticks of ram *Tried a different known good power supply *All of the above again with know good power supply I used thermal paste and isopropyl alcohol respectively each time I reseated the CPU and cooler/heatsink. The CPU fan/pump spins up but the CPU-LED stays solid red. If you have any ideas or suggestions while I wait on the new CPU to come in I would be glad to give them a shot. My motherboard has this feature where when the computer is off, the USB's still output power. Now, whenever I accidentally hit a key on my keyboard when the computer is off, The keyboard's back lights turn on, as well as my mouses. It doesn't turn off after that. This is becoming very frustrating. It's a cool feature if I want to charge my phone or something, but It's not practical in a situation like this. I have an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX motherboard, and I've gone into the UEFI BIOS and looked at basically all the settings, and there wasn't a setting to disable what relates to my problem Reply quickly, Chozenus

I'm using an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX motherboard and have 3 fans installed. All connected straight to the motherboard. The rear and front ones are spinning, but the one above the front one isn't. Please post suggestions. Note: I've opened up my PC and made sure everything is plugged in. No problem there..

Hi All, My Asus R3E seems to have died on me. I tried using it last on a a hot day...it just shutdown on me. trying to boot it since has not worked..It doesnt POST. Looking at the motherboard shows its on a solid red CPU LED. After a bit of research people have found that the board runs hot anyway and is prone to faults. Im hoping the CPU is ok (havent yet taken it out of the case to troubleshoot). assuming that the board is now faulty, im just looking at my options and comes down to either getting another r3e or a sabertooth x58. although the sabertooth has a slightly less good spec there are some good points. for example, it supposibly does run cooler. Im jus hoping the rest of my hardware works with this board.. a used one would suffice as i dont use my PC very often nor am i a hardcore gamer. the R3E does have some nice points tho - the onboard powerbutton for example. I am planning to build a new system including the ASUS Sabertooth Z87, the H100i and some SP/AF120 fans by Corsair in a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2. I am currently not sure where I should plug the Radiator fans (4x SP120 / Push-Pull) into. There are a few options (tell me if there are more options): 1. Plug them into the H100i fan headers and control them via Corsair Link 2. Plug them into the 2 CPU fan headers (I could use 2 Y-Cables) on the MoBo and control them via Fan Expert 2 (if i think about it, this shouldnt work) 3. Plug them into the 2 CPU fan headers and 2 System fan headers on the MoBo and control them via Fan Expert 2 I really want to avoid the use of two different softwares to control all my fans. My second question would be, if it is worth to buy the PWM versions of the SP120's. Third one: 4x SP120's? Or 2x SP120's + 2x H100i-fans? Last one: How many radiator screws are included with the h100i? Do I need to buy another set of screws to accomplish the Push-Pull-configuration? Generell Informations: Location: Germany Budget: Unlimited Preferences: Performance/Temperatures 70% Noise 30% I hope I included all the necessary Information for you to give me your opinions.

Hi folks, I was wondering if anybody know if ASUS is going to release a new AM3+ Sabertooth in the near further? I'm gonna do a build as soon as I get my paycheck, I was planing to get the ASUS Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3 - Rev, 2.0. But all the Danish (online)-retailers are reporting either out of stock or 3-5 days delivery. Is it wrong of me to take this as a sign that something new is coming? Can you recommend an alternative motherboard?

Asus Sabertooth Z87 7.1 Surround Sound?

Hey guys, I just have a quick question. Will my Asus Sabertooth Z87 board with Realtek® ALC1150 8-Channel High Definition Audio support the 7.1 surround sound that my Razer Tiamat 7.1 boasts? Or will I have to fork over the hefty price tag for the Asus Xonar Phoebus? I'd like to put that money towards a better monitor. If I need to get a sound card should I get one cheaper than the Phoebus? Also, should I save up for a 1440 monitor and get a regular 1080 one now, or should I get a 1080 now with a good refresh rate? If I wind up going 1440 on this monitor, I would have to get another 780. Should I get this or this 1080 monitor for now? -
Hey guys, i am planning on building a computer soon and have started looking into great parts for my gaming build. I am thinking about buying the H220 cpu cooler and put it on a Sabertooth Z87 mobo and put them in a R4. My question here though is, will it fit? I have heard about the R4 being big but not having a lot of space above the atx motherboards when installed. Meanwhile, the Sabertooth is pretty big and the heatsink might make it even harder to fit the H220 in. This when putting the fans on the top. If not, would it be as efficient to put it in the front instead with the hdd cases removed? The reasons to why i am stuck to those parts are that i want a great cpu cooler so i can overclock without worrying, and the Sabertooth Z87 looks great and is "more secure" (in my opinion) for people that aren't used to dealing with computer components. And i want the R4 because i have had a R3 which i loved because of the looks and the possibilities it offered. Sorry if my questions are unclear or if my spelling is bad, thanks in advance. -
I'm looking at building a new rig for better streaming/recording and video editing next to just gaming. I already picked some parts like a Corsair Carbide Air 540 case, Intel Core i7 4770K cpu, 2 Corsair Hydro H110 coolers and a NZXT Kraken G10 to go on my R9 290. However, I'm still not sure what motherboard to get, or even if these parts are what I need at all. What is your experience with these motherboards and your opinion? And also what do you think of the rest? The idea is to create a quite, good running rig for gaming, recording said games, and editing said recordings of said games (see what I did there). -

Both GPUs have a core clock of 1Ghz and memory clock of 1.425Ghz The non reference OC card is very quiet and idles 5 degrees above room temp with stock fan profiles while at full load the temp maxs out at 73 degrees Celsius. The reference card will max at 90 degrees at full load and idles at 63 degrees with stock cooling profiles. So unfortunately when I am gaming I manually set the fan speed on the reference card to 55% - 60% (stupidly loud) where is will max at 72 degrees under full load. The configuration I have the cards in crossfire do vary in the pics and that is due to me not being able to afford a display port to DVI adapter as I am now flat broke. Ram is stably clocked at ~1466 mhz (9 9 9 24, 1.52 V) at the moment, could not make it stable above 1700mhz but I didn't really try if I am honest. CPU is stably clocked at 4.525 Ghz (220.75 x 20.5, 1.38V). Extended periods of time at 100% load on all cores using CLC genomics workbench the max temp of the cores is 60 degrees Celsius and idles around 21 degrees with an ambient room temp of ~18 degrees. Now for the pics. I am not really in to the making the system pretty with LEDs or matching colors etc. The pic displaying eyefinity is with Crysis 3 on the screen, the opening scene, that was at the highest settings which was not actually playable. On a single monitor at 1080i with all setting maxed out both my 7970s were at full load and frame rates were typically around 40-60 which is very playable. Now I am going to play some heavily modded Skyrim. Feel free to ask any questions about the build.

Right guys, i really need help here! It started some time ago when my Sabertooth P67 seemingly died on me. I simply shut down my computer, and when i tried to start it the day after, nothing happened. All i got was my fans spinning for half a second, then nothing. No beep code, no red LED's, no nothing. I tried troubleshooting in many many ways and asking around on forums, and eventually figured it had to be my motherboard that had failed. I sent it back to my retailer who declined return because the board was "Physically damaged". I though screw them then, and ordered a z77 sabertooth from another retailer and hoped this would be the solution. I just received it, placed it on a cardboard box, hooked everything up; 8 pin, 24pin, single RAM dimm, CPU and cooler, and when i went to short the power switch pins, guess what? The fans spun for half a second then nothing. Only a single green LED at the bottom. Not even a beep code. I have also tried to reset the CMOS. Anyone had similar experiences? It's frustrating the hell outta me... Keep in mind that this rig ran strong for about 18 months before this. Specs: Sabertooth Z77, i5 2500k, xfx 850 xxx, 2xGTX570, Corsair Dominator 1600MHz 4x4 GB

Background and who I am: Hi all, it’s time for me to make my annual upgrade to my computer, but first I just wanted you to know who I am and why I am doing this. I have always as far back as I can remember had a keen interest in computer hardware and network components. This has driven me to always buy or upgrade my computer in some way. Hey guys! I've got a budget build here with a Palit 560Ti(reference card), a gigabyte B75M-D3H motherboard and a 2500K at stock clock with a stock cooler in a NZXT Gamma case. I want to go for a yellow and black build since my 560Ti has a similar color scheme.The problem I have is the motherboard has the sad light blue and white gigabyte color scheme.Since I can't afford to get a new ASRock black and yellow Z77 now I thought why not make a motherboard cover for it similar to whats on the Sabertooth Z77.I have seen some people make custom covers but have no idea how to get started. My main doubts are: How do i mount the cover on top of the motherboard? The VRM on my mobo doesn't have a heatsink on it so do i need to make a custom one? I plan to put some LED strips around the acrylic sheet and cover it with carbon fibre(fake) wrap and make thin slits on the carbon fibre so the light from the leds shine throgh and it look's like glowing traces on a PCB.Is this even possible? Any help is much appreciated guys! Thanks!

I am going to be building a new gaming PC for myself and was just wondering what motherboard to get. I have rounded them up to these three. I was wondering if it is really worth spending £80 extra getting the Asus Sabertooth and get the MSI G-45 instead, because with that money i could get a pretty decent water cooler. Or should i spend an extra £40 and go for the MSI GD-65. I am really confused, and don't know what the big difference between these three is, but the Asus Sabertooth looks tempting to get, because it looks nice and it has got a five year warranty on it, but the GD-65 and G_45 is more gaming looking and has more gaming feature, but it doesn't come with a 5 year warranty. I wanted to know which one i should get for my system and i also wanted to now how you have had experiences with these motherboard if you have/ha done?
