Ryzen 5700x Radeon 6700xt ROG Strix X570-i 32gb ram Meshilicious case I am at my wit's end! I don't know what to do and I feel like I've tried almost everything. Please scrutinize over my attempts to fix this computer! What's the problem? After I recently upgraded my CPU from a 2700x to a 5700x, my computer has failed to display properly. I had to update my BIOS for the 5700x to work (haven't updated my BIOS in 3 years). Often times the mobo will cycle through the lights and land on the white light. Both of my displays won't show anything. Important Details I have tried reseating the CPU and even plugged in my old CPU. With the 2700x inside, everything worked perfectly. So far, I eventually get my computer to display by force shutting down and restarting. Sometimes it takes several force restarts to get it working. What I've Tried Reseating CPU Reconnecting Riser Cable Resetting CMOS Battery Updating BIOS Updating AMD Drivers Getting a New DP Cable What are some other things I should try?

A few months ago I decided to upgrade my pc to a ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (WI-FI) and Ryzen 5800x, and have found it struggles to maintain a solid internet connection when connected to both Ethernet and Wi-Fi. I have been busy wrapping up my final semester of college ever since, so I haven't had much time to sit down and troubleshoot this until now. According to various internet speed tests, while plugged into ethernet I'm getting an expected 500 mb/s down. But in reality, when I'm watching YouTube or just trying to connect to my Gmail, the video will stop loading about 5-10 minutes in, even at 1080p quality, and the Gmail will just sit there and spin for an endless amount of time. Downloading games on Steam is almost completely fine in contrast though, and I'll get a near-constant 60 mb/s the entire way through, no matter the size of the game, and I almost never lag in Discord calls or multiplayer games. On the flip side, if I switch to using the onboard Wi-Fi, I suddenly only get about 50 mb/s down, compared to my phone which will get roughly 300 mb/s down in the same spot. My phone does have Wi-Fi 6 support, while I don't believe the B550 board does, but I still wouldn't expect the difference between the two to be so extreme. Using the Wi-Fi, I don't have the same issues while watching YouTube or connecting to my Gmail, but it can be a little slow while loading websites and browsing the internet, which I expect at that speed. I will, however, start cutting in and out of Discord and any multiplayer game I'm playing, with my ping suddenly spiking up to ~1000 every 10 minutes or so. Would anyone have an idea of what could be causing this? I believe that all of my drivers are up to date, and I did not have these same issues on my last motherboard/CPU combo which was a B450 Tomahawk (non-max) with a Ryzen 3700x. My current pc specs are... ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) Ryzen 5800x 32gb 3600 Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB (4x8gb) RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G The Ram and GPU have also remained the same since my last motherboard and CPU, and I've been using a completely new install of Windows 10 Pro on a freshly formatted SSD ever since switching over to the B550 and 5800x. Not sure if any of that would have an impact on this issue, but figured I'd throw it in there just in case. I also have Fios 500mb/s up/down.

buildwithaircoolers buildwithliquidcoolers I know the psu is a bit overkill, i'll probably just add a 1200w from seasonic or something. Rest of the build though is how I would buy it (except I would maybe change colours but that's not a real difference)

Hi ! I just upgraded my system to the latest Ryzen 7 5800X3D on my Asus Strix B550-F Gaming mobo. I had a 3700X before, and everything worked well, with my 2 SSD drives. Since I installed the new CPU today, I can't find the second M.2 SSD, on the second M.2 port (the one on the chipset). I tried to disable Resizable Bar, tried to see if there was a faulty configuration on the BIOS, nothing wrong for me. And of course, the windows disk manager is not finding it too. Do you have some advice for me? Something I missed? My setup : CPU: RYZEN 7 5800X3D GPU : RTX 3090 FE Motherboard: Asus B550-F Gaming (Wifi) BIOS Version: latest RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 4000Mhz C18 PSU: Seasonic Focus PX 750W Operating System & Version: Windows 11 Pro Chipset Drivers: latest from armoury crate

I am looking for a cooler for a Ryzen 7 7700x (which I may try to overclock) and I am trying to figure out the best option. Which of these are better, or is there something else at a similar price point that might be better suited for this? Case is a Gigabyte C301 Glass. Thanks!

A few weeks ago I decided to jump on the microcenter combo deal for a 7700X + 32g RAM + MSI B650P WIFI. I know it seems to be mostly the X3D chips having overvolting issues, but I seem to recall Steve (GN) in his first or second video saying it may not be limited to them? So to be safe I just updated my BIOS from the release v1.4 to beta v1.53 (released May 12) Here's the problem: before updating, I was getting ~1.25-1.3v in the BIOS, but after updating and booting to Windows, HWinfo was reading nearly 1.5v on some cores, and around or over 1.3 on most of the other voltage numbers. I've seen some sources, including the original AMD marketing, claim the chip can handle up to 1.475v, but I was still nervous, so I rebooted to BIOS to undervolt. I think this was the right move, because the BIOS was still showing 1.3v+ and froze up before I could do much. I shut down the computer and haven't turned it on since (why I don't have screenshots or more accurate numbers). I don't even have EXPO turned on, but after seeing those high voltages and the BIOS crashing, I'm not sure of the safest way to continue. I thought about contacting MSI directly but I refuse to make an account on their site just to get customer service. Any recommendations?

Summary Linus teased that the new Frameworks with AMD had some nice features. AMD has lifted the embargo so now Framework published all the specs. Quotes My thoughts I've wanted a Framework but didn't want an Intel CPU. This is exciting. Sources https://frame.work/blog/announcing-the-framework-laptop-13-powered-by-amd-ryzen

Budget (including currency): 3000-3500 DKK Country: Denmark Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTAV RP + mods Chrome/Opera with multiple taps Maybe some video editing / recording in the future New games in the future Other details: My current PC is from 2015-16, so i'm not looking for High End, expensive new stuff, but maybe from 2021-22. Anything at this point is a huge upgrade. I had another post, but im trying again & to be more precise. Budget is 3000 DKK but I can go to 3500 DKK, if the circumstances are right - I'm just looking for a decent upgrade with the right stuff. - Currently GTAV on all LOW settings with a few mods, my 4-cores work 98-100% all the time and I need to cap my FPS at 50. I have been looking at: Ryzen7 5700x and/or intel5 13500 Motherboard (undecided) RAM 3200/3600 mhz? CPU fan (a cheap liquid cooler that does what its supposed to) Current setup: *See file attached I hope this is detailed enough to get a couple solid upgrade ideas/packages Lastly, I want GTAV to look good, (medium-high graphics) and to be able to play newer games without having all LOW settings

nvme m2 Gen 4 Nvme showing as Gen 3 no matter what I do
ArnoldDavis posted a topic in Storage Devices
I have a Western digital sn850 1tb placed in my first m.2 slot on my MSI x570 meg unify board. My cpu is a ryzen 7 5800x and I have a 2080ti. There also is a Samsung gen 3 nvme placed in the second m.2 slot. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Surely this gen 4 nvme should just show up as gen normally. I have no idea if there is a problem with available PCIe lanes etc, really am a noobie. I see no option in bios where I can configure m.2 lanes etc. Please help. I do realise there is no real benefit for the better gen 4 speeds especially for someone who uses the pc for gaming like me, But I want the speeds I paid for! -

Budget (including currency): about $3500 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games (Cyberpunk, Civ5/6, BG3, Stellaris, Tomb Raider, SW Fallen Order) & general day-to-day usage (music, streaming, chatting, etc). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Upgrading from a Ryzen 5 1600 system which I've had since Ryzen was new (details in profile). Going with one based around Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Part list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/badpandafu/saved/#view=L9wzvK Looking for any feedback on part selection particularly around cooling, RAM and storage. Also specific GPU vendor (I will be sticking with Radeon either way) if there are other suggestions but I've used Sapphire for a long time without issue and see no reason to change that yet. The current model I have selected is largely based around what was available with a price on pcpartpicker. Monitors currently are 2x ASUS MG248Q @ 1080p but eventually the intent is to replace these with a single ultrawide most likely the MSI MEG 342C when it becomes available (or similar display). I'm unfamiliar with be quiet! coolers so I don't know how they typically rate but I observed this one in a build using the same CPU so it seemed a good option.

So I’ve been giving this quite a bit of thought, I would like to upgrade my pc, I currently have a Ryzen 9 3950x, however this chip is no longer suited for my needs. I want to get a Ryzen 7 this time around but I am having a lot of trouble with deciding if I should get a Ryzen 5000 or 7000, I know that getting a Ryzen 7 5800x or 5800x3d is a decent upgrade, but a 7700x or 7800x3d is a huge one. The issue though is deciding if I want to spend the extra money to get new motherboard and new ram, I also want to upgrade my cooler and case as my AIO is a little old now and the case doesn’t have good enough airflow for my liking. So my question is, is it worth it to upgrade to the peak of my platform and wait a few years for AM5, DDR5 and such to mature a little more or should I just get the best there is now and lighten my pockets a lot more?

Hello, about a month ago I bought a new pc (you can find the details at my profile), I checked the benchmarks on youtube before buying the parts so I can play 2k @144HZ without much problems. YouTube benchmarks shows same CPU and GPU getting 170-200 fps at PUBG with ultra setting & 2k. Sadly I can't get more than 70-80fps. Whatever I do. Whether I drop the resolution to 1280x720 or raise it up to 2k or play on low settings or ultra, FPS is pretty much same. It goes up to 105fps, goes down to 50fps for short times but generally whatever I do it stays at 70-80fps interval for most of the time. I'm using DOCP profile for the memory. They are running at dual channel 3600mhz. GPU temp at 55C max, CPU temps at 60C max. This seemed like a CPU bottleneck because of poor multicore utilization so I tried MSI Afterburner and HWiNFO to check what’s going on but threads rarely reach max usage. PUBG actually seems using multiple threads on the CPU and every 30seconds or so one of the 16 threads gets maxed out for an instant not more. Generally, as far as I can see, 2 or 3 threads are being used at 50-60% others even lower than that. Total CPU usage is 12% average, changing between 10-15% and GPU usage is 35% average, never passing 42%. At game lobby of PUBG, I'm getting 200fps with GPU usage more than 90%. I asked a friend who gets more fps in game to test his lobby fps and he gets pretty much the same fps that he gets in game (~150). What I tried so far: played with NVidia power settings as some people suggested, changed windows power settings. turned off GSysnc, HDR. overclocked the CPU. deleted ai suite. deleted graphics driver with DDU and installed latest without GeForce Exprience. changed Pcie slots to gen3. delete, clean pubg files and reinstall. try 2 memory modules one by one. even ran the stress test of CPU-Z at background while checking fps in game, the game still gets 70-80fps. Yes, none of the above changed the fps. I don't know what else can cause this and any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello ! I need help. I am about to upgrade my cpu from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5700x. My question is to know if the Be Quiet! Dark Rock SLIM will be enough to hold the 5700x. I wanted to put the Dark rock 4 but I use four Kingston fury ram modules with Rgb and just the cooler collides with the first ram module. Note: I do not plan to OC the cpu, it will remain as it comes from stock

Hello all, my first post here about my first build which i have no idea how this happened. specs: Ryzen 7 5800x msi b550 tomahawk AIO Nzxt Z73 msi 3070 So i had just finished installing all my drivers, updates, and updated my bios to the latest (not the beta) build. I also enabled XMP and turned precision boost overdrive to auto and then eventually off. When I went to download NZXT CAM, to control the lighting on the AIO then i’m not sure when, how, or what I touched on the CAM app but all of sudden my temps rose to a steady 58 degrees fahrenheit. They were at a stable 30 ish 40 before this and my fans cranked all the way up and i check on task manager and hold behold my cpu is clocking in at 4.7ghz. Does anyone know how i can get it back to the normal base clock speeds? I tried uninstalling the cam app, making a new profile and reverting back to those, turning off xmp, and “removing” the cmos battery and still nothing. i’m afraid to start gaming on it because i don’t think my motherboard could handle the high clock rate and temps. Does anyone know any other way to lower my clock rates back to the basic out of the box rates? Everytime i check the bios it says it’s running at 3.8 ghz when in reality it isn’t. Please and Thank you

Hello, I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some advice. Usually I can sort out these issues but this one has been here since I put together my new build and I'm stuck. Issue In a random amount of time (5 miuntes to X hours) while playing graphically intensive games the system will black screen, and the fans will ramp up to 100%. The system seems to still be responding for a little while before restarting. The issue happens when I play games for example: The Witcher 3, Mount and Blade 2, Valheim, Rise of the Tomb Raider Games this did not happen on: For the king, Little Nightmares 2 I've done some stress tests on the system using 3DMark and the issue didnt happen, or I was just lucky. The Window Event Viewer just says something generic such as the driver has crashed. The same thing happened for both GPUs ive been using (I'll try and get a clean log file) PC Specs Motherboard: MSI X570-A PRO Storage: 500GB Samsung 970 Evo Power Supply: Corsair RM850 Graphics Card: 8GB MSI GTX 2070 Super RAM: 16GB Hyper Fury X CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x CPU Cooler: Fractal Celsius s36 Parts Changed (In Order) Power Supply: GIGABYTE B700H ATX Graphics Card: XFX RX 5700 8GB RAM: 16GB Corsair LPX Vengence Storage: 250GB Samsung 860 Evo Software Versions BIOS: H.C1 Nvidia Driver: 461.72 MSI Dragon Center: 2.0.101.0 Windows: 19042.804 Pro 64 Bit Other Things Tried Changed Graphics Card PCIE slot Changed Monitor and HDMI to Display Port DRAM Voltage increase from 1.35V to 1.4V RAM frequency lowered to 3200Mhz, RAM Timings Lowered via MSI's "test it" Temperatures Under Load: GPU 68c CPU73c Final Thoughts Theres only a couple of bits left for me to change over, but this has been a annoying issue to pin down Other ideas or other things to try are welcome, Thanks, Luke

ryzenmaster Ryzenmaster Turboclocks Not Staying
Mq3 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
When I use ryzenmaster, if I link all cores to the same frequency and run a benchmark, ryzenmaster will show every core at the speed I set it to. But when I try to clock one core to a slightly higher speed, all of the other cores drop back to near stock speed. I've tried using creator mode, and profile 1, how can I set each individual core clock without the other clocks going back down to stock? <---- What I set the clocks To (They stay at all 4625mhz btw) <-----What they go back to -
Hi i recently bought a 3070 ASUS DUAL OC and i am getting 90-120 fps on warzone at 1080p on low/normal settings roughly the same fps as my old 1660ti. When i installed the 3070 i used DDU uninstaller in safe mode to uninstall all old drivers and installed latest driver from GeForce experience. Maybe my cpu is bottlenecking?? Asus Dual RTX 3070 Ryzen 7 1800x Asus prime X-470-Pro Corsair 16GB DDR4 3200mhz Cooler Master 650w PSU 500gb ssd with 8tb hdd Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you!! Update: i got the 5600x today and it was the culprit of the fps loss, but now my mic on my headset is super quiet not sure why
