Hi everyone, i recently built my first PC, everything went great and i've been using it for almost 2 months now. The issue i'm having is with a Sabrent Rocket M.2 SSD i bought last week, i installed it the first time and it worked just fine, i was playing some games i had installed on it and everything was fine (i was planning to use this drive just for storage); but yesterday i was about to copy some files to the Sabrent SSD and it was not showing up. i checked on the disk management and it's not showing up there, NZXT cam doesn't detect it either, and no luck with Samsung Magician either. i reset the PC and enter the BIOS and it shows N/A on that M.2 slot. i tried unplugging the SSD and plugging it back in but that didn't work either. I'm starting to think that it has died, is it possible? I was also thinking that maybe i should do a clear CMOS but i don't know if that would be ok? Thank you in advance! My PC specs are: -Windows 10 64bit -Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite Mobo (BIOS 1.0.0.3 i think, it has the factory BIOS) -AMD Ryzen 5 3600x (i've tried overclocking but i use it on stock settings most of the time) -MSI Nvidia GTX 1650 4GB GPU -Corsair LPX Vengance 4x8GB RAM -Samsung 970 EVO 500GB Boot drive -Samsung EVO 860 1TB Storage -Toshiba and WD Storage HDD -2 RGB led strips ;)

So replacing my motherboard for an aesthetic and case change (had a bulky corsair 200r switching to a white rgb airflow 4000d), having trouble deciding if I should keep my ryzen 5 3600 which is paired with 16gb-3200 ddr4 and a 3070 founders, or switch platforms to intel go with i5-12600k as the gaming performance looks to be a lot better, I have seen some 80-100% usage when playing warzone and emulation with rpcs3 as i play a lot of emulated NCAA 14. So leaning towards the upgrade just not sure if it's worth it, would be spending about $200 more between the B760 and processor vs the B550 (Both asus white motherboards), it also has built in USB 3.2 headers on that board where as the upgraded am4 board (B550) would need a $20 pcie card to add that. Just curious to get everyones thoughts. Thanks!

I've had this Ryzen 5 3600 ever since I built this PC in 2021 and I feel that it's time for an upgrade. I am considering upgrading my R5 3600 to an R7 5800X3D as my local micro center has it on sale for $270 USD. The only thing is, will this cause a bottleneck as it is a very powerful CPU? As my GPU is not the most powerful. Or, should I consider getting the non-3D (R7 5800x) as it is also on sale for $200. Any help is appreciated.

What is/are the best B650 Motherboards for the Ryzen 7800x3d? Ive looked through many Videos and Websites yet there seems no Single clear choice. I have narrowed down to the ASUS TUF B650 WIFI ASROCK B650 PG Lightning, and AORUS B650 Elite AX Which of those is the best, or are there others im Not aware of? Thanks for your answers.

Budget (including currency): 900$ Country: Sri Lanka I am about to do my first ever PC build. I am going with a Ryzen 3600 and a 166ti. The problem is, since i have never built a pc myself I am kind of nervous. Will it be safe to go about this alone? Are online tutorials/guides sufficient for first timers like myself?

Hello, I am having an issue with my Ryzen 5 3600 with overheating. When I stress test my CPU with CPU-Z, Furmark, and Prime95, I usually get around 65c with my new AIO that I just got. I also only pull about 46w. For reference, my old Hyper 212 EVO managed to get around 70-72c. However, when I click "Apply & Test" in Ryzen Master, my CPU will jump to almost 90c (over 90c with my 212 Evo) and my CPU wattage jumps to over 90w. When I am idling, sometimes my CPU jump from its normal 32-33c temp to 45-50c completely randomly. I am including some pictures of my stress tests: -Picture 1 is doing "Apply & Test" on Ryzen Master -Picture 2 is CPU-Z -Picture 3 is also CPU-Z but with no overclock (all others are slightly overclocked). -Picture 4 is Furmark CPU Burner with no overclock Is this normal, or is there something very wrong with my cooling and/or CPU? I never really see these temps in any games, but it does get awfully high when playing a more taxing game like RE4 (74c usually). Is there something I can do to get these temps down? Reapply my thermal paste? Take my waterblock off of the splitter I have and plug it straight into the CPU-FAN header (and plugging in the Rad fans to my chasis header)? For context: I just recently updated to Windows 11, and updated all my drivers too to see if that would fix any of these issues and it hasn't. I also noticed that stock voltages going to my CPU in Ryzen Master are 1.41875 V. I have built a new PC, and have tried everything, that people have recommended. The problem is that everything turns on, except there is no display and my motherboard has the green light that says boot on, but nothing is happening. The parts are new. Asus Prime B550 Plus AMD Ryzen 5 5500 AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT Corsair VS500 Patriot 2x8 3200MHZ WD Black 2280 1TB Coolermaster Masterbox Pro 5 ARGB Edit: I am fairly sure on the plugs for the bigger headers like the 24 pin, The only thing i am not confident about is the power switch, reset switch and those headers.

Hey there, I got a new Ryzen 9 7950x and I love it so far, except for the fact that I can not read it's temperature in Linux. I have tried lm-sensors, and even after trying to detect all the sensors, I couldn't find any that would tell me the CPU temp. I made sure to be on the latest version of lm-sensors, I am on Linux 6.0.2, I have the newest UEFI version as well as AMD μcode and still nothing. I thought it might be that the CPU is too new and that there is no support for it, but thats also not it, as one of my friends, with the exact same OS, kernel version, lm sensors version and exact same CPU, can see the temps. The only difference between our builds is that he has an Asus x670e motherboard and I have the Gigabyte Aorus Master x670e. Any tips on what else I could try?

I am building my first pc and I watched videos that it is better to underclock using PBO2 to get maximum efficiency. I have a Ryzen 5 5600G 2x8GB 3600Mhz I'm stuck on choosing between MSI A520M-A Pro and Gigabyte B450M-K. Which of these support PBO2 and its curve optimization? Thanks guys, would be a big help!

Hello, I have only built a few PCs and I need to sell or give to relative one of my older rigs and move on. Just not sure which to keep. I was going to put all my better parts into one rig and get rid of the other. So.... Should I keep my Ryzen 2700X or the newer Ryzen 3600? I only game and do regular day to day stuff on my PC.

I'm sure it'd be fine for a 7900 or 13600kf or any of the lower end cpus from ryzen or intel. Would it be worth it to get a 240mm (or bigger if needed) aio for the 7800x3d or 13700kf? I know they can get pretty hot but for games like elden ring and esports titles would it be enough? If you need any more information then ask me, it's for a future build so I don't have anything as of now.

My PC specs are CPU: Ryzen 5600g MoBo: ASRock B550M-ITX AC GPU: Zotac RTX 2060 6GB Storage: 240GB Inland Pro SSD, 500GB Samsung 980, 750GB HDD, 500GB HDD Software: Windows 11 I initial started with the 240GB SSD and so it is my Boot Drive and it's about to be my 2nd year with this PC. It's been acting up recently, it takes forever to get past the BIOS point to get to windows. Games also haven't been wanting to run, such as Escape From Tarkov and War Thunder. I don't think it is an SSD issue as it has been working fine and even in other machines it works normally.

Budget (including currency): 1000-1100 EUR Country: Slovakia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: used only for gaming / no other workloads single monitor (1440p 75Hz) mainly single player games (no competitive gaming) series such as assassin creed, far cry, company of heroes, nhl/fifa, anno 1800 would occasionally like to play some games on 4K 60Hz samsung TV via steam link Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): just the PC build, monitor and other peripherals will be shared with Mac that I have for work I'd prefer small build but I don't need to push it to smallest SFF out there I have Samsung S60UA right now (1440p @ 75Hz) - maybe I'll upgrade it down the road but I would stick with 1440p just with higher refresh rate the build I'm thinking of https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fw9PjZ the motherboard is way cheaper in local store (73 EUR) compared to pcpartpicker other parts seem to priced +-10% to what is listed on the link above (converted to EUR) I plan to use stock amd cooler for cpu + buying 2-3 basic case coolers based on some LTT videos and articles I decided to make few compromises but I would like to hear your feedback motherboard is PCIE3 both for nvme and gpu based on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ_2kRO-RPg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DKLA7w9eeA it shouldn't be a problem for casual gamer my plan is to save money there and rather invest in a better gpu are there any relevant reasons why should I go for better cpu/motherboard and/or pcie4/5 and that's why lowering the investment to gpu (rx 6750 xt or below)?

Budget (including currency): Blank check Country: USA (moving by plane to Colombia) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe products, Unreal 5, Streaming with OBS, and playing games like Apex Legends. Other details: Existing pc list here https://pcpartpicker.com/list/knZ9v3 I need your opinion: I am moving to Colombia in South America, and my PC is gigantic. I can technically move everything to a smaller case, pray it doesn't get destroyed in transportation, OR, sell the PC (keeping the GPU) and buy new parts and rebuild everything over there. I have been told that trying to buy parts over there will be expensive and might not even find the parts available. Should I try and get my PC in a box and take it with me or sell it and buy new upgrades equivalent to what I have? I use my computer mainly for Video editing, motion graphics, 3D, streaming, and video games. My current setup is the following: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/HybridRain/saved/shv74D ► AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor ► EVGA RTX 3080TI 12GB (WON'T SELL) ► Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler ► MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO ► Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ►Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD ►Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB PCIe M.2 Internal SSD ► Corsair 760T Black ATX Full Tower Case ► EVGA SuperNOVA G3 850 W 80+ Power Supply ► Monitors: Asus VG248QE 24.0 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor Asus VG245H 24.0" 1920x1080 75 Hz BenQ ZOWIE 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Acer XFA240 24.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Part of me is happy with my current setup, but if selling the pc is gonna give me access to something more powerful, current tech, and a similar price, I am willing to just buy the new parts. If you can help me decide and find an equivalent of a Ryzen 9 setup, please let me know or share parts setups. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks for your help!

Hello all, I have an AM4 X570 system with the following configuraton: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Motherboard: GIGABYTE X570 AORUS Elite Memory: 4x 8 GB Corsair DDR4 3200 MHz GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT I wanted to update my BIOS from F38a to F38b, I removed the CMOS battery from the board, waited for it to clear and put it back in so I could go into Q-Flash and flash the new BIOS, on stock settings. However, upon trying to power up the system, it never seemed to complete the POST. Fans spin, motherboard LEDs turn on, CPU & GPU were getting warm - but even after waiting 5-10 minutes the system never got to the UEFI BIOS. I was banging my head against the wall trying to work out what the issue was, swapping memory modules around, reseating the GPU, etc. This is rather difficult as board vendors like to not include PC BIOS speakers in the box these days... However, through some trial and error I found my system boots with 1 or 2 sticks of memory - but not any more. I can't populate 3 or 4 slots any more. This is odd as I've been running these memory modules at their XMP profile speed of 3200 MHz for over a year with no issue. I tried an individual stick in each one of the slots to ensure the slot or channel wasn't dead - and sure enough they all still work. It is also important to note at this point that even though all of these modules are CMK16GX4M2B3200, they're two separate kits. They all have the same SPD data when read out. Same JEDEC standard speeds, same exact XMP profile on both. Same voltages. Same everything, except for the fact two sticks are version 4.32 (supposedly Samsung C-die memory) and the other two are version 5.39 (supposedly Hynix M-die). What's confusing to me is that this setup was working fine for almost 2 years with no issue at all, but one clear-of-the-BIOS-settings later and it doesn't even boot. I'm at a total loss. I was reading online about increasing memory voltage or SOC voltage or IO die voltage but I've never touched those settings and don't know what the safe ranges are or what's recommended. I hadn't needed to before as it was working fine on Auto everything and XMP enabled. The system works with 1 stick or 2 stick in any configuration - but NOT if I mix the 4.32 and 5.39 sticks. Any help or potential solutions are much much appreciated. Thank you.

ok long story short, asus x570 wifi viii or whatever. 5900x, used to be OC'd but since this problem, ugh. recently got a 4090 strix OC blah blah. tossed on a waterblock, now it fits. 1000w seasonic psu plus a 6700, 2x nvmes, 8x sata ssd's, i mean my case is packed full of stuff. prior to my 4090 install i had it overclocked at 4.9 running steady/stable. now just running nordvpn/utorrent my pc blows up randomly at 4.6ghz and nothing special in the bios - eliminating points of failure. the Q-code goes to 00, yet all the "rgb" stays lit up. force restart then shes ok for a good few hours. ill run these apps and swap my input to the ps5 and let the other 2 monitors display progress/taskman. utorrent even crashes randomly which is why i "need" the other 2 screens working - off of my 6700xt. weird thing is the last few days i have been on F1 2022 and it gets hot as (bleep) in here but the pc never crashes. I got tired of playing then swapped to safari/youtube. maybe an hour in the pc blows up again. Checked event log and its a bunch of ethernet trash before the random pc crashes. Its hard to tell the exact time of said crash due to the boot up taking less than 15 seconds. I imagine im drawing too much power? As i said i used to have this thing massively overclocked, not to mention a 6700xt (still inside), 6600 and a quadro 4000. Suddenly im having issues with a barebones "overclock"??? Ordered a 1500 platinum, that will be tons of fun... So how can I diagnose whats crashing the PC? It has to be power, i cant think of anything else that would have made such a change. Sure, pushing to 5.2 would explain a blow up - but 4.6 and no overclocking on either gpu? Should be noted my tor files goto the sata drives (raid) - so having 4 on raid 10 and 4 as global spares might also be cause for power issues... Ideas appreciated! Thanks peeps

my ryzen 5900x doesnt seem to be fond of mixed ram so gonna buy new ones(no idea which part is the problem ram mobo or just the cpu) ok now I got a 3600 and 3200 im gonna get 2 stick for 64g of it, so price difference is 646(3600) 574(3200) 3600 is a good 17% more expensive than the standard 3200 72(bout 16usd maybe) isnt alot for me ,but just wondering should I get the "sweet spot" 3600 or just save my cash I know ryzen is somewhat ram sensitive so is the extra cash worth it in general pc would mainly be used for drawing application, so somewhat memory intensive and maybe also 3d rendering in the future(blender maybe)

Budget (including currency): ~1,20,000 INR Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly games like CSGO/CS2, Valorant, occassional AAA games too Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Just have the kc3000 ssd for now, going to buy the parts in the next 3 months trying to find the best deals. Currently have a 1080p 144hz monitor but might upgrade to 1440p 144hz (this is in distant future). Building a smallest possible air cooled build and have 2 options for the case Ghost s1 mkIII vs dan a4 h2o for the case Will be used primarily for gaming, no productivity task as such, some software development at most. Games that I play Valorant, CSGO/ CS2, very rarely AAA games but I do play them. Components: TYPE ITEM COMMENTS CPU Ryzen 5 7600 13600k is 146$ more here, mobo prices are similar. Also feels good for ITX heat management. CPU Cooler ThermalRight AXP90-X53 or AXP120-X63 or Depending on case choice chose this for dan, or l12s for ghost s1 (with bending), NH-L12S is much cheaper than NH-L12 ghost edition here. Motherboard MSI MPG B650I Edge WIFI Only am5 itx in my country Memory GSkill Trident Z5 Neo Rgb 32Gb(16Gbx2) Ddr5 6000Mhz Desktop Ram (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR) Tested Latency 30-38-38-96 Have seen cases of XMP memory not working correctly and longer boot times. So just chose EXPO. Storage KC3000 1 TB Already have it. Video Card Powercolor radeon fighter rx 6700 xt Cheapest in my country and can fit ghost just fine, but I don't know if it's good or not. Case Lian Li A4-h2o or ghost s1 mkIII Since I wanted air cooling only, confused between these 2. Any suggestions are welcomed. (Both are similarly priced here) Power supply Silverstone SFX SX700-G 700W or Cooler Master V750 Gold Full Modular or Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold SMPS Don't want to skimp on this so pls let me know the best one. Silverstone is like 20$ cheaper than v750. 10$ diff between v750 and v850. Link to build on on an website similar to pcpartpicker for my country. You can use it search for other parts and suggest them as well. https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/1053c0d9-788f-40d7-a1e4-e2a729f9f3c0 GPU and CPU cooler not available on this link. Reasoning to choose Ghost and dan a4 h2o - need the smallest possible volume to carry around, since I don't want AIO or water cooling was choosing ghost s1 for the smaller volume, feels like wasting volume on dan without an AIO. Both case prices are same in my country so that's a bonus. Limitation of ghost s1 that is the 2 slot graphics cards- since I just play competitive games mostly figured I won't be using higher powered GPUs anytime soon. Hoping this build will last me for 3 years at least and there will be a 2 slot option then or else will get a new case if need be (or just open on side panel while on my desk and have no restriction). Still if you feel A4 will be better than ghost then please let me know. Thankyou so much.

Hello, Some specs first: Recently I made a PC build. This is not my first build. I've made few before. But this is the very first time I cannot understand what am I doing wrong. I notice that that Windows Task manager frequency never shows a speed higher then base speed. Usually it means Turbo Boost is not working. I've made a passmark test and indeed, results are horrible: I've updated BIOS to latest and made and loaded BIOS default settings. Then I've enabled D.O.CP profile for ram (3200MHz according to my RAM kit profile). I've googled and find out that in order to enable Turbo Core I need to have Core Performance Boost enabled. It has only to options in my BIOS Auto or disabled. At this point I've just started to jump over internets and try to apply random settings in BIOS. But I've never got a Turbo boost working: And passmark was confirming it: I was desperate and installed AMD Ryzen Master and with Auto Overclocking profile I was able to reach 4.2GHz. But after reboot it went back to Base clock speed. I'm really frustrated right now. I thought that I'm quite experienced with hardware. But somehow this feature is so hidden that my experience is not enough. Please, help me to solve this mistery!
