I recently built my first computer with a Ryzen 3 2200g and an MSI B450 Bazooka motherboard. I want to add 8 gb of memory in addition to the 8gb I already have. I just saw this deal on Amazon: Patriot Memory VIPER 4 Series 3000MHz (PC4 24000) 8GB Dual Channel DDR4 Kit PV48G300C6K for just 55 dollar USD. I have read on some forums that certain types of memory aren't compatible with Ryzen APUs. Is there any truth to this? If so, is this memory compatible with my system?

I've been looking around and can't find a definitive answer, i need to run a Ryzen 3 2200g 24/7 and all I can find is people saying 75, 80 and 85c is safe.

2200g is stable at 3.95GHz currently stress testing 4GHz, has anyone got an OC of 4.1 or higher with 2200g?

So currently I have 2 spare cpu’s which has brought me to a fork in the road based on the spare hardware I have. I plan to just run discord, music, and stream from this pc I already have a spare psu and hdd I’m going to use. Also a spare zotac 1050 I’m going to use. route 1: I have a spare i5-4590 which I have a motherboard for already. GIGABYTE GA-H81M-H LGA 1150. I also have a 2 spare ddr3 dimms but unfortunately they are mismatching dimms one is 4 gb one is 8 gb. I only have an old oem cooler for this one so I’d have to get one. route 2: Spare Ryzen 3 1200. I do have a cooler for this guy, but I have no mobo or spare ddr4 dims. Plan to use this case: MasterBox Q300L mATX Case w/ Magnetic Design Dust Filter, Transparent Acrylic Side Panel, Air Flow Performance by Cooler Master http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=11-119-331&ignorebbr=true What do you guys think?

So I bought a Ryzen 3 2200g CPU, an HP EX900 M.2 SSD, and an ASRock B350 Gaming ITX/ac motherboard for a small home server build I'm doing. I hoped to use the SSD as a boot drive so I don't have to wait on the slow WD Red to do the boot sequence, but the SSD doesn't seem to be detected by the BIOS or by the Ubuntu 18.04 installer. I've read that the Vega graphics on the CPU take up some of the PCIe lanes that the M.2 slot would normally use, but even with a discrete gpu installed and the bios set to use external graphics the drive does not show up. I've also updated the BIOS as far as it currently goes (v5.30 from the included v4.70) and it has made no difference either. I've dug around in the BIOS and found an "Enable NVMe" setting that says "set this to enabled if nvme device is not detected" but that didn't help either. Any ideas how to fix this?

Whats up guys and gals, So I recently put together my first real Micro ATX HTPC for the living room (60" 4k TV), using a AMD RYZEN 3 2200G with the onboard radeon graphics, 8gb of ram (single channel) I am noticing when I watch YouTube videos in full screen mode, im dropping alot of frames, it sutters and lags behind (unless its like, 480p), however any other streaming site (hulu, netflix, or any of the movies on my HDD) will play in full screen mode without issue. Chrome is my primary browser, but this issue occurs across multiple browsers. Question now, is do you think this issue is best resolved by getting a more powerful APU that would fit the same socket, or getting a graphics card thrown in there to help with some of the video processing load? Thanks in advance.

I am going to be building a desktop after my laptop is slowing down, going wumith a Am4 build and wanting a Ryzen 7 3700x but that is a few months out So my question should I spend the 87 dollars extra to get a ryzen 3 1200 since it is still 1 ghz more powerful than my laptop as I wait for the new cards.to come out, I can wait but I dont mind getting it then build a cheap computer for my nephew as a birthday gift with the ryzen 3

Hi everyone im new and i need your help pleas i was wondering in my ryzen 3 2200g apu better is than my current old gpu a radeon R7 250x 1gb

So my dad needs me to build a computer to replace his 8-year old old HP Desktop and since he doesn't do anything that requires a lot of processing power or something that stresses CPU too much so I think it would not be a bad idea to get a cheap $50 board and save $25-30 to pair with a cheap dual or quad core Ryzen APU. Upgrade ability with RAM and stuff like that isn't a worry. But the main thing is if supports Ryzen 3rd Gen out-of-the-box? I know the bios update came out nearly nine months ago but just wanted to make sure the model selling on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079NYQQJJ?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1) has that BIOS updated already. Anyone buy this board recently and got it working with 3rd Gen Ryzen?

So basically I am building a Ryzen APU PC and for now I've chosen •Ryzen 3 3200G •Asus prime B450-K / ASRock Micro ATX B450M - HDV / MSI B450M PRO-M2 / Gigabyte B450M DS3H (any one of them) a bit confused tho... Need some help to decide, which will be best for overclocking the APU and the 2600 among those motherboards!!! •8x2 Corsair vengence 3000mhz But for future upgradability, I have planned for a Ryzen 5 2600 or a 3600 (not a 2700/3700x because this is a cheap B450), a good AIO and a RX 580/590 or a 1660ti maximum. So my max doubt is what PSU should I get that wouldn't catch on fire and at least 80+ bronze (non-mod/semi-mod) ?? And how much power do I need for the future upgradability and with ram and CPU overclocking alongside?? I am confused about the watt?? How much wattage should I get?? And what motherboard would be best for overclocking among those?? Thanks in advance!!

I'm planning to build a budget PC. my budget is 400 USD. I have 2 choices. Ryzen Build Ryzen 3 2200G 8 gb ram ddr4 2400MHz A320M mobo no GPU Intel Build Intel Pentium Gold 5400 RX 570/ GTX 1050Ti/ GT 1030/ RX 550 any of these H310H5-M2 mobo 8 gb ram ddr4 2400MHz Workload is light. Microsoft apps, spotify, League of Legends, DOTA 2, Rules of survival, PS2 Emulator and maybe Fortnite. Should I get the ryzen build and save up for a GPU later or should I get the intel build and sacrifice upgradeability? or can you suggest different parts for my workload. Suggestions are highly appreciated. thank you!!!

I've got a built-in motherboard from the Dell Inspiron Ryzen build for the Ryzen 3 1200. I want to upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5 2600, but I've been made aware that newer generations of CPUs require newer BIOS. What is the BIOS version I need for the Ryzen 5, and will it even work on a stock, no-name Dell Inspiron motherboard? Also, another concern is that doing a BIOS update comes with the possibility of bricking the entire motherboard. Is this true and should I be worried?

So I am building a cheap pc for a friend and I have come across some benchmark of the ryzen 3 2200g and since my friend plays mostly old games (tf2, cs etc) and does not have a 144hz monitor I think could be a really good deal. Now my question is if we will put into the system a graphics card (rx470) we will lose all of the computational graphics power of the processor? or it will do some hybrid stuff like on some laptop? do you think is worth it to buy the 2200g and eventually buy a gpu or it is better to straight up get a gpu.

I plan on buying an Radeon RX570 graphics card to pair with my Ryzen 2200g. Would this be a suitable combo or would the RX560 be a better option? I want to game at 1080p 60fps on high settings. My specs are Ryzen 3 2200g 4gb 2666MHz ddr4 ram Asrock AB350m Pro4 motherboard

All the motherboards mentioned below are exactly BETWEEN $115 TO $120. Help me choose one according to Ryzen 3 3100 and GTX 1060 3gb, I don't think i would overclock, it is already around 500% bump over my last specs. Plus this is my first Pc BULID 1. Gigabyte B450M DS3H WiFi 2. MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX 3. ASRock B450M Steel Legend 4. Gigabyte B450M AORUS ELITE 5. Gigabyte B550M DS3H I know it's expensive for the mentioned motherboards, but that is the state of pc parts her in my country due to pandemic. But I have to build one now for my studies

Hi there, I'm using ryzen 3 3100 cpu on my build and using a stock cooler. my idle temp is around 50C. on BIOS I'm keeping current low idle in power supply idle control and PBO(precision boost overdrive) off to keep the temperature low. Currently I'm playing assassin's creed origins and the cpu temp fluctuates like crazy. It goes from 62 to 75+C. It touches around 75 and automatically its going down and keeps happening especially on AAA games. It doesn't happen on Apex legends or fortnite. Does anyone have solution for this? Motherboard: MSI b450 Tomahawk max GPU: ASUS GTX 750 TI OC PSU: Corsair CX550 Thanks

Hey all, I'm located in the USA. I have been monitoring the major sites like Newegg, Amazon and MicroCenter (I have one 2 miles from my house) for the AMD Ryzen 3 3300x & 3100 CPUs. I had pre-ordered the 3300x from B&H. However, it has been backordered and delayed multiple times. The current backorder ETA is July 16th. I have not seen these available AND near their MSRP since the launch. MicroCenter hasn't had the CPU available at all. I had Newegg set for "Auto-Notify" once both of these chips hit the site and I haven't received any email from them. Amazon has the 3100, but it is marked up to $140 by a third party seller. Outside of what I listed above, I have not seen either of these CPUs at all. Am I just having really bad luck or has this launch been as frustrating as I have been experiencing?

So I'm building my friend a pc for really cheap and was wondering if I would have any problems with using a Ryzen 3 3200G integrated apu with a Gigabyte B450M DS3H mobo, any help would be appreciated!!

Hi there. I just bought second-hand pc from ebay. Seller is claiming everything was working before he posted it, but I just had "no signal detected". PC Specs: Ryzen 3 1300 Rx 470 4gb Sapphire 8gb Kingston 2666 Evga 600w a320m-pro I swapped rx470 with rx590 and everything was working as it should. However, rx470 still was not working in my main pc. I tried it with 3 different monitors as well different cables HDMI, DVI and Display Port. Only once I managed to get some kind of "feedback" from the rx470 which was white/pink artefact screen. I didnt try to update the BIOS since newer card was working just fine on a320. I try both modes of BIOS on gpu (V Bios switch) with the same results. Just want to ensure that gpu in fact is faulty or I am missing something specific about this card? Thank you

Hello. So I've had the gtx 970 for a while and an amd phenom ii x6 1090t. So i only have enough budget to upgrade either my cpu or gpu. Since my cpu is way older and gtx is still good enough for now. Which ryzen 3gen you think is best for the gtx 970?

Greetings, community, I have a small but rather serious problem that I have not been able to deal with myself. I have HP Envy x360 15-ds0000ur (6PS65EA) laptop, it is quite slow, heavy, the display quality is horrible and I feel like I massively overpayed for it, but that's only my fault. The worst thing about it is that it has 2 slots of 4Gb RAM (total of 8, which is not that good in 2020) and because Radeon RX Vega 6 Graphics uses 2 Gb or RAM (as much as I really don't need, mostly gaming on this hardware is not an option) I have performance problems. My available RAM is only 5,9 now, which strikes the performance hard. I've searched the web for a way to decrease Vega RAM usage to at least 512 Mb to free some RAM, but even HP support forum has no solution to this. The only thing I've found was to adjust the value in BIOS, but my BIOS version has no such options available, it only shows the memory, but will not allow me to change the value. HP forum staff commented that if there is no such option in BIOS - there is not way to fix this. Does anyone has any ideas or other solutions to this problem? I'm not sure that my laptop RAM is upgradable and since the warranty is still valid, I don't want to resort to this possible fix before it runs out to avoid voiding the warranty (also, it won't probably be cheap and I don't trust the quality of work of service providers in my city). I have updated the bios to the latest revision from the official site but there is still no option available.

SOLUTION: It was the old Medion monitor I was using. I tested the system on my roommate's monitor, worked perfectly on it. CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G Motherboard: Gigabyte AB350-DS3H RAM: 2x4GB Crucial 2400MHz PSU: 500W Be quiet! System Power 9 Operating System & Version: Windows 10 (installed multiple times), Linux Mint (couldn't get into the interface) GPU Drivers: whatever Win10 installed Background Applications: whatever Win10 installed Description of Original Problem: no video signal after BIOS and the spinning circle while Windows is loading Troubleshooting: reinstall Windows (didn't work), start in safe mode (worked as nicely as safe mode can), install Radeon driver from safe mode (error 99: AMD Installer Cannot Continue Because the Driver has not Been Digitally Signed), installing driver from safe mode command prompt (pnputil says I already had the same driver installed), flashing the BIOS to an older version (board came with F23 bios, flashed to F20; same issue, though the APU is supported since F1), installing Windows 7 (installer crashes with BSOD), installing Linux Mint (can't get to the installer because of the same issue) Win+Shift+Ctrl+B gives me a beep, which means that Windows is reactive but I can't produce an image on the screen. Thank you for your help everyone!
