Hey guys just finished bench marking Ryzen 3. As always I will post the full video on my profile, but won't be posted here as I don't want to break forum rules, and because some say love is a river. Paired with a GTX 1080 to eliminate any GPU Bottlenecks. Stock settings 3.1ghz - 3.5 boost Overclock settings 3.7ghz (was able to get 3.8 @ 1.35v but stealth wraith couldn't keep it cool enough and it crashed) DDR4 2133 DDR4 2933 Games Tested DOTA 2 PUBG WITCHER 3 BF1 GTA V Here are side by side comparisons, all games were ran at high settings with AA LOW (except for GTA V where it was off) and PUBG which was ran at Medium settings. Overall overclocking is going to make a huge difference, temps stayed at about 71-73 with the Wraith stealth cooler under load on overclock, and about 50-55 on stock under load. All in all guys is a helluva value for those doing any budget build for 1080p, and as long as you pair it with a decent GPU it should be a great value.

Hey guys the best board i can afford for AM4 is the Asrock B350 Pro4 which is a great looking board with alot of features only lacking sli unfortunately. However i read a comment that said that these boards need a BIOS flash to support Ryzen 3 which i plan on using specifically the Ryzen 3 1200 and i really don't want to muck around with BIOS flashing in the first place let alone with a new-ish platform that has had bios versions brick several motherboards. I dont know whether or not to believe this or not as Robert Hallock on twitter said that all Ryzen cpu's are drop in regardless of bios version as seen here: Whats the answer guys? do these boards actually need a bios flash or would it be all good with the R3 1200 in it from factory?

Hi guys, I'm having a weird problem with my ryzen 3 CPU. This is my 2nd pc build but this is my 1st experience with overclocking, si I might do something wrong. Let me explain what I did and what went wrong : 1- Overclocked my CPU to 3.7Ghz at 1.2875 volts. - Stress test for 15min, everything is ok at a max of 60C 2- Went to my BIOS and tried to go 3.8Ghz and keeping the same voltage 3- Computer won't boot, so I shut it down and do a CMOS reset 4- Put back 3.7Ghz at the same 1.2875 volts, no boot. 5- Another CMOS reset and put back 3.7Ghz with 1.3 volts, still no boot. Every other attempts I've made didn't post. The only way I get it to post is by going to windows without any overclock (base 3.1Ghz at 1.12 volts) I don't know what's wrong because I did get to 3.7Ghz and went through 15min of stress test without any issue and no bad temps. My memory is clocked to 2667Mhz at 1.3volts and it is not the problem as I can boot with it without any issue with my base 3.1Ghz clock on my CPU, so the only problem seems to be the CPU's overclock.. Nooby overclocker need your helps !! Thanks Specs : Ryzen 3 1200 MSI B350 Gaming Pro (mATX) (BIOS updated to 2.93 version) 16Gb Mushkin redline 2666Mhz DDR4 EVGA gtx970 SSC ACX2.0

Just like the title says...Ryzen 3 or Intel G4560 for gaming? I saw a jayz2cents vid saying that team blue is better...but a couple cpu comparing websites state otherwise...so I just want to be sure...will be paired with a 1050ti and 8gb of ram

The CPU is integral to the build and spending more for quality is a good thing, but the biggest question is how much the Ryzen 5 is needed to justify being nearly double the price. For very high-end gamers, 4K video editors and streamers, of course. But for low-mid range builds, do Ryzen 5's amazing benchmarks really matter? From many reviews I read, the overall impression is that it's best suited for a video cards up to a GTX 1060. Bottlenecks on a GTX 1070 are minimal. It seems like the biggest limitation for gaming is the frame rate. It will probably show a bottleneck past 100 frames per second, but for those who are happy with 60-90 frames per second, it should be fine

Would you recommend me to build a Ryzen 3 1200 PC or a Pentium G4560 PC? My budget is quite low, around 470USD. I already have a pretty decent graphics card (Radeon 7770) and I have already selected the parts needed for both of the builds. Here they are: Pentium build - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/msnFRG Ryzen build - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qj3MzM The Pentium build in my country would cost around $470 and the Ryzen build would cost me around $425 PS: I live in Uruguay, South America, that's why it's more expensive than what you'd get in the USA or Canada. Thanks for you advice!

So I have been trying to put together a budget PC and can't decide which CPU to get. Right now I am at $550.00 for the entire build including peripherals, except for the CPU. This PC will be used mainly for streaming and watching movies. So I thought an APU would be fine since I would not have the cost of a GPU. But I have read that the A12 is based on the bulldozer architecture, and was not performing very well. The Ryzen 3 is the same price as the A12 but I would need a GPU also. So basicly I just want a PC that will be snappy and pull video and web pages up quickly. Would it be worth it to go with Ryzen 3 or can I stick with the A12? Current build Windows 10 home: $99.99 G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x4GB DDR4 2400 $84.99 Logitech MK120 mouse/keyboard $15.99 ASRock AB350M pro4 AM4 $74.99 Corsair CX550 $49.99 Sandisk Ultra II 240GB $88.49 BenQ GW2270 21.5 1080p $79.00 Thermal take core V21 SPCC micro atx 59.93 Total $553.37 A12-9800 $109.99 Ryzen 3 $109.99 plus cost of low end GPU

Threadripper specs are official now with TDP and confirmed pricing. I hope the RAM support is stellar on launch. ( Alienware is offering up to 64GB at 2933Mhz) As someone looking to upgrade my workstation/gaming system I am extremely excited about what's been shown so far, and cannot wait for reviews comparing it against Skylake X. I know plenty will be interested in the overclocking potential as well, and at least Noctua has so far confirmed all new coolers for Threadripper based on their best performing coolers. http://www.anandtech.com/show/11636/amd-ryzen-threadripper-1920x-1950x-16-cores-4g-turbo-799-999-usd The TDP of 180W is more than the early leaks, but still rather decent for essentially two 1700X's in the same socket. Temps, especially under Prime95 and other AVX loads will be interesting. Asrock motherboards shown off. Noctua's new cooler designs, and baseplate for Threadripper. Also very interesting is the Alienware Threadripper machine! They sport up to 64GB at 2933Mhz. That's actually darn impressive, considering how much Ryzen has struggled to get to that barrer and break it with Dual channel, 16GB max usually. As for Ryzen 3 Sorry folks, AMD hasn't settled on a price yet. Although the official launch day for retail stock is July 27th. I have a Ryzen 3 2200g sitting around. Other orphaned hardware includes a 750GB sata hdd & 16GB SODIMM, and an Nvidia Tesla k20? Any suggestions for a motherboard that could pull these parts together?

OK so I just downloaded the ryzen master utility and set my 31200 to 3.3ghz on all cores and now my PC wont display anything, the fans are spinning and lights are on my rgb ram any suggestions on what I can do? VID_20190620_123958.mp4

What is the ideal temperature for Ryzen 3 2200G overclocked with vega at 100% stress using aida64. I overclocked my ryzen 3 at 3.85 gh with 1.4 volt and GFX at 1600 Mhz with 1.4 volt. It's stable. I stressed everything else with aida34 not Apu. The processor reached 72 C at max. But when I stressed everything + Apu, the processor reached 95 C so fast... I turned off the stress intently. Now, can I run game's on this?? Will it damage the processor??? I am even afraid to try gaming. What should I do now???

So my motherboard died today which is pretty annoying, but it means I can justify retiring my trusty (wow apparently 4 years old) 6700k. And what an exciting time to be in the market for a CPU with AMD finally having a competitive product! Sadly I was pretty busy the last year or so, not following PC hardware as closely as I would have wanted to, so I guess it's time for me to open up such a thread finally. What's my budget: I am looking to spend somewhere between 400-750€ (ideally not too much over 500€) which in terms of PC hardware converts basically 1:1 to USD What's my current setup: I am currently rocking a powermodded 1080FE and a full custom watercooling loop that is pretty overkill for even 120W TDP chips, though ~100W-120W is a sweet target since there it can run below the noise floor and sometimes fully passive. I sadly have 2 mismatching 2x8GB DDR4 sets of which the slower one is only rated for 2133 and the faster one being 2600 (I bought them pretty early in the DDR4 lifecycle and thought the faster one was complete overkill - god do they suck by today's standards...) What's my usecase: I mainly do 3 things, scientific compute with mathematica and sometimes C++ or Phython were pure multicore performance is basically all that matters... like the PCs they give us at the uni when we work on those projects are Xeon Phis, clock speed and single thread super doesn't matter... I also do some occasional 3D CAD which are basically all single-threaded. In terms of games, I enjoy some KSP and Clausewitz based grand strategies (EU4, HOI4, Vic3...) for all of which the bottleneck is usually the single simulation thread, so again multicore doesn't really matter. Overall I would say the single-threaded stuff matters more to me, but I won't settle for less than 6 cores while 8 would be hugely appreciated. After doing some preliminary checking something like a 3700X would be smack centre in my budget, however, judging from Steve's review it seems like a terrible fit, being hard to justify for the gaming and cad against a 9600K or 9700K and it being hard to justify not to upgrade to a 3900X for the compute stuff. What do you think, which CPUs should I consider? Any other features that are meaningful on team Red and Blue (super don't care about optane caching or pcie4)? Is there anything rumoured or announced I should be waiting for? Thanks a ton for taking time for this!

Hello, A long-time viewer of the channel and generally curious in building a computer, never really got around to it cause I didn't have that much money and would go to a nearby gaming shop where we could rent computers by the hour... until now that I have a job and don't have the luxury of going to the nearest gaming shop and have a friend who I offered to help in building a PC for themselves. Just a bit of back story, I am from the Philippines and we have limited places in my area to find PC parts, we'd have to travel to the next town/city to the mall that possibly has more PC hardware stores, but it would still take a bit of time due to the number of store and differences in pricing for the parts, my friend wants to do casual/competitive gaming from time to time (games like Fortnite and some single-player games as well), she had mentioned that she might get a PS4 Pro or wait for the next PS5, I offered to help her build a PC instead since I know she works from home too and could benefit from something that can be used for more than one purpose. Another reason I want to build this PC for her is so that I can also know if what I make will possibly be good for me as well since I also play video games and need the pc for my hobbies and online work (I play CS: GO, PUBG, R6: Siege and some single-player games like Watch Dogs and Witcher) I've done a bit of research and wish to get a second opinion and some recommendations if possible, the prices I will put will be in Philippine Peso 'PHP' (for my kababayans out there) and in the rough conversion to USD At the time of this post, 1 USD = 52.53 PHP Currently, in my country, a PS4 Pro 1TB is priced at PHP 23,490 to PHP 30,499 / $447.17 to $580.60, depending on where you buy, my goal is currently to stay within that or close to it and to have a stable and reliable system for the next few years until an upgrade sounds or is a possible thing to do. Also, the prices I will be giving will be coming from the prices I get from Lazada.com (a kind of eBay in our country that's got delivery and a good system) I have decided to go with a Ryzen Build due to the news we've all heard recently Edit: I have used PC Parts Picker to try and see incompatibility issues and went with the B450 instead of A320M due to the BIOS needing an update in some models and I don't wanna take the risk of running into any delays or spend more money The parts I've chosen to prioritze first: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo) - PHP 4,060 / $77.29 GIGABYTE GA-AB450M-DS3H Motherboard - PHP 4,229 / $80.51 GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-16GVKB 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 RAM - PHP 5,350 / $101.85 1TB/1000GB 3.5" SATA Internal HDD - PHP 1,999 / $38.05 Thermaltake Litepower True Rated 550 Watts Power Supply - PHP 1,895 / $36.07 Raidmax Ghost Gaming PC Case - PHP 1,795 / $34.17 ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease 2019 Edition 2 Grams - PHP 300 / $5.71 What I plan to add later if budget is an issue: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB DDR5 - PHP 7,800 / $148.49 Western Digital WD Green 120GB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD Solid State Drive - WDS120G2G0A - PHP 1,090 / $20.75 Build Phase 1 (No External GPU and SSD) - PHP 19,628 / $373.65 Build Phase 2 (With External GPU and SSD) - PHP 28,518 / $542.89 The build that I will be giving her will be connected to one of her TVs that she had used before when she still had her old PS4 that she recently sold, I hope to give her at least 720p or 1080p gaming on the system Links to the Lazada pages where I got the prices in case you're wondering: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo) - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i175237008-s220278174.html GIGABYTE GA-AB450M-DS3H Motherboard - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i328590226-s701328694.html GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-16GVKB 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 RAM - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i4715254-s5915876.html 1TB/1000GB 3.5" SATA Internal HDD - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i327436142-s695718064.html Thermaltake Litepower True Rated 550 Watts Power Supply - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i324864756-s679082149.html Raidmax Ghost Gaming PC Case - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i310514496-s618548988.html ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease 2019 Edition 2 Grams - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i301554840-s535140639.html Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB DDR5 - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i332430290-s729552983.html Western Digital WD Green 120GB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD Solid State Drive - WDS120G2G0A - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i157935207-s191713359.html

Hi! I'm currently trying to troubleshoot my PC Ryzen 3 2200g R9 270 (non X) A320 Motherboard 1 x 8gb ddr4 2400mhz CIT-Atv500r Psu (500w 80 Bronze) 1TB WD 7200RPM So I'm only 15. My knowledge on PC Components is very strong ect. But when it comes to things like troubshooting I have no clue what to do really. My original PC when I bought it 2nd hand was: Fx 6300 Some random Asus am3+ mobo that I can't remember 2 x 4gb ddr3 1866 Everything eles was the same as it is now I didn't know what to expect pairing a 2200g with an r9 270. But it's been absolutely awful ever since I made upgrades (I suspect its bottleneck with my cpu gpu but I don't know 100%) I mainly game on my PC, that's its primary use. If anyone knows what's wrong with my system and what directions I can take to get my PC stable (suggest upgrades ect. As I'm upgrading my PC at Christmas anyway) Thanks!

Build: Motherboard = Asus ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming CPU = AMD Ryzen 3 2200G RAM = 8 GB HyperX Fury 2400mhz GPU = PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon RX 580 Hi everyone, So i recently upgraded my PC to a new case and a new motherboard. Everything worked fine in the old case with a MSI B350M Gaming PRO AM4 B350 but when we turn it on to post nothing happens and the indicator LED says its a memory issue. Iv'e tried half a dozen sticks of RAM to fix the issue but none have seemed to fix the problem. I have had the asus motherboard for almost a year so i am curious if the board needs a BIOS update due to being a first gen ryzen board with a second gen chip, or if its just dead and needs to be replaced. If anyone has an idea please let me know Thank You!

I'm new to overclocking. Im currently using the AMD Ryzen Master software. Im using a stock cooler on my ryzen 3 2200g. I want to overclock this thing but i have no idea. Any help?

I wanna suggest to liquid nitrogen cool a ryzen 2700x and overclock it to 5ghz and run it against a i9 9900k in not just a sythetic test but rather in shadow of the tomb raider to see if this could indicate any gaming performance of the next gen ryzen chips!

I've found a 4c/4t CPU titled AMD Eng Sample: 2D2204BGMCWH2_33/29_N, I believe that this is similar to the 12c/24t leaked benchmark thanks to the name of the sample, here are the results: Im not sure if these are legitimate results but they are impressive when thought about that way

hey guys I recently upgraded from a Ryzen 1700 to Ryzen 3700x and when I connect all the cables, I get no signs of life from the computer whatsoever -- no lights, no fan spins -- nada. does x570 chipset need to recognize video output from a discrete card to turn on? my computer specs are: AMD Ryzen 3700X Asrock X570M Pro 4 Kngston HyperX 32GB @2133MHz (2x16GB, but only one stick worked on 1700) AMD Radeon RX480 Silverstone Strider Platnium 850W SFX The fans are controlled by a Silverstone fan controller. both CPU and GPU is cooled by a custom water loop with 2 360mm rads when I first connected the components I got the red lights from the motherboard displaying faulty ram -- but fans spinned, lights came up and tried to post. after that, I've disconnected everything, redid the loop, and tried to turn it on, but I get nothing. things I've tried: reconnect all the connectors jumping the 2 mobo connector pins (in the case, case light comes on and pump spins, no fan spins though) trying one stick of ram but no matter what I try, I see no signs of life on the computer. the only thing I haven't tried is connect a display to the GPU to see if that was the problem, but I doubt this is the main cause of it. I want to know if the X570 chipset looks for specific components before it even decides to light up.

need some guide on overclocking my ryzen 3 1200
