So my Sapphire Rx 470 4gb nitro is crashing during mining and i tried everything to fix it, the temps are fine 57° in KAWPOW algorithm, i thought it's the vram overheating since there's no temperature sensor, so i just want to know what thermal pad thickness in my model (0.5mm/1mm/2mm) Thank you

I have a ryzen 5 2600 with a Rx 470 8gb. At the stock settings the CPU usage is 95-99% and gpu usage is very low (40-60%). The base clock for CPU was 3.4ghz so I clocked it to 3.5ghz in bios and the GPU usage was ok now (95-99%) but the CPU speed is now only 3.5ghz where as it ran on 3600-3650mhz before. What could be the problem.... Specs:- Ryzen 5 2600 Rx 460 8gb sapphire nitro plus 500W PSU 1x8gb DDR 4 Ram @ 3000mhz ( I know I should use dual channel) Mobo: Asus b350ma

Just a few days ago, I installed my new Rx 470. Ever since, my games have been crashing nonstop, with GTA V and Shadow Warrior 2 holding the current record for most crashes. Cooling does not seem to be the problem, as it only crashes the game, and my drivers are up to date, I've quadruple-checked. At this point, I don't know what is causing it. Thanks.

i saw some 10 series and rx series cards are on sale, so i want to get one to replace my old gtx970. i dont want to replace motherboard(because win10 is really expensive) so i cant replace my old i7-4790k to skylake or kabylake cpu. so here the question is, will my 4790k become a limit to gtx1060 or rx470?

Im contemplating a gpu for my pc. I want to mainly play games like CS:GO, Rocket League and Overwatch. Not very demanding games but I may want to play games up to GTA V. That is the most demanding game I'd like to play. Now, I want to know, will buying a RX 470 be better than a RX 460 4GB for 1080p gaming? I don't know if it will make such a huge difference and would not like to spend an extra 50 usd if I don't need it. Thanks, mKL Edit: Solved

Hi there guys, I found this forum through YouTube (Linus' Channel) I am in my mid-30s male and I am completely new to computer building - I specifically made my own computer to play Mass Effect: Andromeda. I posted on EA's forums but you usually don't get a response there I think the audience is younger and sometimes they even give incorrect advice. In any case the issue I was running into with Mass Effect's early access on Origin - I seem to be able to play the game and then all of a sudden 15 - 20 mins into the game the graphics card will hang and the game will crash (no error messages) it will just exit to the desktop, I will post my setup below as I have a few more questions, as I am going to be throwing more money at the problem to fix it, tomorrow I am buying a ASUS RX 480 - 8GB and another 8GB of RAM. My system specs below: MoBo:........: Asus ROG Strix Z270F Kaby Lake ATX Gaming Motherboard Processors: I5 7600 (stock cooler not overclocked) GPU...........: MSI RX 470 4GB RAM...........: G.Skill RipJaw V DDR4 8GB OC 3600mhz SSD............: SAND-DISK extreme over 400MB read/write HDD...........: 1TB 7200 PSU............: Corsair CX 750M 80+ Bronze. I was running the game in high settings at 1080p HD. I was getting solid 60FPS (never below 50FPS) until it just randomly crashed. OS: WIN10 64Bit Pro. It is a clean install. My ambient temperature is 22 degrees C, and in HWMonitor my GPU temp max was 60 degrees C, everything else was in the mid 40s range or below. Will this game scale with multi GPU as I am going to buy the RX 480 to crossfire it with my RX 470 I know I will lose 4GB of VRAM.

I got my xfx rx470 about a month or so ago and all has been well. Today, I turned on my pc and went downstairs for a little bit to make some food. When I came up, I started using it, nothing out of the oridinary but then I notice the max gpu temp on open hardware monitor: 112 degrees celcius. WHAT!!? that's insane considering that it was running at 55 ish and idles around 30ish. Even under gaming, I've never had it exceed 72 degrees. I immedietly ran a unigine heaven benchmark to see if anything was damaged and I got a score of 1688 vs my usual score of 1705-1740. Any help would be appreciated to diagnose what happened, if anything is damaged and or what I should do.

Hello! Which GPU is better for medium budget pc? I'm only interested in 4gb versions, because of saving money. Right now I consider these: https://www.galador.ee/1630-videokaardid/3803369-vga-pcie16-rx-470-4gb-gddr5-rx-470-armor-4g-oc-msi https://www.galador.ee/1630-videokaardid/3797981-sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro-oc-4gb-gddr5-256-bit-2xhdmi-2xdp-lite Thank you!

I have a RX470, but it doesn't perform the same as other RX470's in the internet. I noticed that my GPU usage is all over the place same with my power wattage. So I have been having some odd issues since the latest Windows 10 update came out just over a week ago. Now let me explain my issues. First one is a kinda borderless windowed mode in games, mainly R6 Seige, but when I am playing Skype notifications pop up. Second issue is in Overwatch my game no longer stays at 59FPS when using Vsync as it now flickers between 59 and 60 making the game have a stuttery feel. Things I have tried: Doing a complete uninstall of the AMD Drivers using safe mode stuffs, reinstalling the problem games, repairing the games and a few other small things like lowering game settings. Specs: GPU: rx 470 4GB CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.4Ghz RAM: 2x8GB 2400Mhz

So, doing as I normally do I was browsing Amazon for some tech stuff to buy and I decided that I kinda want a GPU upgrade, I currently have a 1050Ti that I got for about €130, At the time I bought it I seen the RX470 8GB for about 50-60 more than the 1050Ti. So today I'm browsing Amazon.co.uk and see a Sapphire Nitro RX470 8GB for the price of a high end GTX 1070... What is this?? I knew Bitcoin mining is the cause for some of the RX500 cards going up in price but really??

Okay so I have been having an issue lately where my ASUS Strix RX 470 4GB OC will downclock to 300mhz when playing games. This usually happens in most games when the framerate is unlocked. If I lock the FPS to 60 the drops are not as bad but are still there. So far the only thing I can tell that also drops at the same time is the GPU voltage. The voltage goes from 1.1Volts to .9938Volts. Currently, I have upped my power limit to +25% as that is what people in other forums say should fix it but it does not in my case. My next thing I am going to try is use the Asus Tweak II to see if I can find some setting that will fix the issue. If you have any idea what settings could fix this please do let me know. Specs: GPU: Asus Strix RX 470 4GB OC CPU: i5 6600k Stock RAM: 2x8GB @ 2400Mhz MOBO: ASRock z170a-x1 PSU: Corsair CX 650m 650Watt

Hello! So i managed to muster up enough spare change over the past 2 months and upgraded my video card based off some suggestions here and some research on the web. I went from a EVGA GTX670 2GB FTW card to an Asus Strix RX470 4GB. I got a really good deal on it from one of my vendors as they're trying to off load them since the release of the RX570. Issue i'm having now is, i'm getting lesser than expected performance and worse performance in some cases, than my 6 year old 670. Not in all cases however. Games i play are the following: GTA5, Farming simulator 2017, Wow and Brawlhalla. In GTA5 i'm seeing almost identical performance using the same settings as prior to the upgrade. (high, msaax2) Consistent 65 FPS for both cards. In Farming simulator 2017, i'm seeing a 10-25% decrease in performance at the same settings as prior to the upgrade. 670: 60 FPS and the odd dip to 35-40. RX470: 34-55 FPS In Wow, i'm seeing a slight improvement. 5-8FPS in highly populated area's. 670: 65-75 in orgrimmar. RX470: 70-73 in orgrimmar. In Brawlhalla, No changes. Solid 60FPS. No sure why i'm seeing worsen performance in some games. On Paper the RX470 chews the aging 670. I've tried 3 different driver versions including the 2016 version that windows 10 installs automatically. No noticeable difference between each versions. I've remove all old nvidia software that may hinder the AMD drivers. I'm kinda stumped. Would this happen to be an optimization issue with the new RX Series cards? Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions or advice. System spec: AMD FX8350 970-UD3 Mobo 16GB Kingston Memory Corsair H60 Cooler Kingston UV400 240GB SSD. I don't believe it's a CPU bottleneck as CPU usage never goes above 40% in any of the games. I'm also Playing at 2560x1080 resolution (ultrawide)

Okay so, I have been having an issue lately where my display outputs randomly die when playing games or watching a video in chrome. When this happens my monitor says no connect/display and no matter what connection I try, I can't get the display back without a hard shutdown and reboot. Just a note: My GPU is it in the 4x slot on my mobo due to the 16x slot causing major screen glitching into BSOD. Currently, I am doing some testing by using the balanced power plan, from high performance, and I also disabled hardware acceleration in chrome. So far no issues have popped up, but I expect them to continue. If you have any suggestions on what I should add to my testing please do let me know. Basic Specs: GPU: rx 470 4GB Stock Clocks CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.4Ghz RAM: 16GB at 2400Mhz Motherboard: ASRock z170a-x1

So I'm looking to buy a graphics card. Currently I have none. So thing is, I can get Asus Strix 1050ti for about 50€ less than a RX470. Is it worth paying that much more for RX? I also assume i5 4430 won't be bottleneck?

I have build new pc case and was testing temps, used Doom since its the only game that my cpu does not bottlenecks my gpu. I have noticed that utilization was at 100% constant, mem clock at 1650mhz(as should be), temps 60-65°(lower than in the old case) but my core clock was 1150-1250(Should be 1270) and power consumption around 95w. So in msi afterburner i put power limit to 125% from 100% and core clock did jump to 1270. Now, in other games there is a cpu bottleneck so utilization jumps up and down, it draws around 75w but memory and core clocks are at max all the time, no fluctuation, at stock settings. Since i increased power limit i continued to play doom, and fps was 120-140 from 100-130fps, power draw jumped to 115ish watts, i was happy, but maybe after 45ish sec fps dropped to 30 for a few sec and than went back up to high 130, and it happened again in same time interval. In msiafterburner it showed that uti, mem clock were at max all the time, same temps but core clock dropped to 300mhz at the time of the of the fps drop, as was power draw to about 30-40w. I put power limit back to 100% and that never happened again. So i put power limit up again and it happened again. Cpu utilization or temps did not change nor the temp of the gpu, and this never happened before. Now my thinking is that when i increase power limit up there is not enough power somewhere. I did buy new psu when i bought gpu but it was over my budget for upgrade so i don't think it the best in the world but it shouldn't be the worst, or at least it should be adequate. I was calculating 150w gpu + 95w cpu, hhd + 3 fans and a light strip shouldn't be too much, was i wrong? Cpu: amd fx 6100- stock speed with LC-CC-120 aircooler GPU: Asus rog strix rx 470 o4g Mobo: MSI 760gm-p21 Ram: 2x4gb 1333mhz PSU: Raidmax 500w rx-500xt HDD: Some samsung 1tb I was thinking ether psu 6pin connector cant give enough power to the gpu or motherboard pci slot. Shouldn't be that up to 75w comes from mobo and the rest from pci-e connectors? Does anyone knows where is the problem?

i have an A10-5800k AND An RX470 sapphire nitro 8gb of course the gpu is bottlenecked by the cpu will overclocking it from 3.8Ghz to 4.0/4.2Ghz reduce the bottleneck and give bettter performance and higher fps in more CPU dependent games like GTA V?

TL;DR: I need a small case (detaills at point 7). 1. Budget & Location Strictly less or equal than €800. €650 ($US 688.54, $CAD 931.55, $AUD 925) for the PC. Spain. 2. Aim Gaming, light software development and general tasks. I primarily aimed towards gaming on 1080p 60FPS at least at medium settings. Games that I'm interested in are Battlefield 1, Titan Fall 2, The Division, (I think this is enough to understand what types of games I want to run on this build), and some other games which are less demanding, I think (Overwatch, CS:GO, WoT, WoWs...). I researched different types of mid-range GPUs, and RX470 looks promising (high setting 1080p 80FPS on BF1). 3. Monitors 1 monitor. No plan to add more. 1920 x 1080. 4. Peripherals The remaining €150 will be for keyboard, monitor and some other stuff that I don't know right now, like cables, cooling stuff, thermal paste... I don't need OS. 5. Why are you upgrading? The main purpose of this build is to upgrade from my 4 years old MSI GE60 laptop to a nice small desktop with a lifespan of 5 to 6 years. 6. Planned parts PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RxkFKZ Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RxkFKZ/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: Asus H110M-D Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($57.45 @ Jet) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.89 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Asus Radeon RX 470 4GB STRIX Video Card ($191.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($46.99 @ OutletPC) Total: $520.31 7. Stuff that I need help First, a easy one, is this build optimal for the budget? Now my real question: I don't have much room for a desktop, so I'm looking for a compact case, mATX one. I've 2 candidates: HIDITEC SLM20 (330 x 430 x 100mm) and TACENS ORUM III (427 x 300 x 100 mm). I think it might fit, but I'm not sure. I would like to know if my build fits in these cases. Any other suggestion is nice. May use PCI riser for GPU. If it's too complicated, I might switch to a relatively small ATX size. Any suggestion is also nice. Should I add a CPU cooler or the stock one is enough? About monitor: BENQ GL2250 looks nice, opinion? 8. Additional stuff Here there are a couple of deals, Gigabyte H110M-Gaming 3 and MSI RX470 8GB, at almost same price as above. Recommended do get them? Thanks
