Hi.. Long Story Short I have an Rx 580 8Gb and a Pc with 450w Psu (Lenovo 54Y8930) I dont have money to upgrade can I game on my Rx 580 with this Psu.. Btw the Psu does not have 8pin connector (it has two 6pins) but I have an 6pin to 8pin adapter. Will it Work??

Budget (including currency): - Country: - Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mainly gaming (1080p) Other details: my first ever built, already got everything other than cpu and mobo, and as the title suggest, i'd like to gather a bit of opinion on cpu pairing. i've been trying to get those mythical 3300x but to no avail, even gone as far as contacting the vendor/supplier of the retail seller. so i guess its 2600 or 3500 for me. i've seen few comparison which state that 3500 is basically comparable to a 3300x. but those comparison use super overkill gpu like 2080 super or something. i can go with a 3600 but i figured it'll get bottlenecked with my gpu. so basically is 3500 better for me? or 2600 would be fine since my gpu isn't really that powerful? those extra thread can be really usefull, lots of time i play game with discord, chrome, and few other junks in the backgrounds. -
Specs: i5 10400f, b460m-a asus, 2x4gb ram viper, rx 580, 600w gd and 628 gb of storage my new build turns on but nothing on the screen (connected to my gpu, even tried two of the same i5 and two different mobos) with my rx 580 but it does with another gpu... my previous build works fine with the rx 580, i dont understand how it doesnt work with the new one. Previous build: fx-6300, mobo for that cpu(i dont really remember), 12gb ram and everything else as the new build. i will appreciate any help. -
I've been having problems with games on my xfx rx 580 gts black edition. Games will mostly artifact, black screen, and crash out. i've tried reinstalling drivers using ddu, updating windows, underclocking, undervolting, raising the power limit to 50%, and I've also upped from a 500w psu to 650w. Albeit it's not a great psu, it draws 588w from the +12v rail, but I'm still pretty sure that's enough to power my card.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 stock GPU: XFX RX 580 8GB at 1366 MHz RAM: G.Skill 16GB 3600 MHz Motherboard: ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 2x 1080p 144hz Freesync monitors BIOS: P1.60 - AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3 PSU: EVGA 500W Bronze OS: Windows 10 20H2 When i'm playing games in Windowed Fullscreen applications on my secondary monitor will stutter and drop frames like crazy. Youtube will try to auto adjust quality to lowest and still stutter while my games performance will remain fine. This has been a constant with every Adrenaline 2020 driver, only fixes being either play the game in Fullscreen which makes alt-tabbing annoying or going back to Adrenaline 2019 driver which prevents some newer games from playing. Windows game mode has been disabled and i've tried DDU to do a clean install. Wiping and reinstalling windows did not help either. For a time enabling eyefinity then disabling it worked but that stopped after a driver update and hasn't worked since. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I've recently installed a sapphire rx 580 nitro 4gb card into my rig to test it. The sapphire led logo comes on but the fans do not spin and there is no display. I've connected a working gpu with it and booted into windows where I could see if it would be detected there but it's not being detected. Any way of fixing the problem? Thank you. I'm upgrading my build from an rx 580, and I was wondering if getting a 1080 8g second hand for 350 dollars (This is all due to the scalping of the 3000 series cards) is a good deal. I'm just unsure about how future proof it will be, as well as the performance gain I would get from going back 2 generations. Any help is appreciated :^)

Hello everyone so in my most recent build I decided to include a rx 580 Because I got a good deal on it, so installing and everything went swell, until I booted it up and I kept getting no signal and no post. So, What I did was go through a bunch of random guides and everything because my pc and everything was all lighting up and no ez-debug lights were on and GPU fan was spinning. SPECS Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Msi Radeon rx 580 armor B450 Tomahawk max motherboard 16 Gb DDR4 RGB ram Evga BR 500 watt Bronze Power supply An NZXT H510 Case And a 940 gb SSD and Yes I did connect the PC However, today I randomly decided to put my old gt 1030 into the pc, and voila, it booted perfectly into bios and everything and I installed windows without any issues. So, I was wondering if that is possible? No ez-debug leds, fans spinning, but still a DOA gpu? and Im ordering another rx 580 so any way I can prevent this for next time or is that just how it is? Thanks

Will the Rage mode OC feature come to Polaris GPUs like the RX 580/570/560 or is it RDNA 2 exclusive? I'm hoping that since it's a software level feature, it should be supported.

Hi, so i had this problem yesterday and today pc shut down again. Yesterday i was playing Mafia like 3hours and suddenly pc shut down. Power led is still on, rgb od mobo is still on, cpu fan not working as well as rgb on fan. I cant turn on pc so i need to turn off PSU switch. After that everything is normal but mouse isn't working so i need to replug it to work. R5 2600 B450 Aorus elite Hyperx Predator ram 8gb 3000 RX 580 8gb Unpopular brand nJoy psu with 600W and mouse is HyperX pulsefire core if that matters but i bought it few days ago but cant download its driver because i need windows update blah blah. PS. i cant update windows i have error with a lot of numbers saying that it cant find any updates but under that it says that my pc is missing important update. Friends are saying that PSU is suspect but everything is so strange with that mouse and that my mobo dont tell me anything with troubleshoot leds Thankss

I have an AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU in a Dell 5675 PC. This GPU runs very hot near 80c most of the time. I don't game on this machine so temp reduction is more important than performance increase. Any experience on how to reduce temps on this CPU? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hello, I have an RX 580 system with an HDR capable monitor running at 1440p 144hz. It runs 1440p 144hz fine, but cant turn on HDR. If I lower the refresh rate to 60hz I can then turn on HDR. I suspect it could be too much bandwidth for the cable? Or even the RX 580 - can it handle the bandwidth for 1440p 144hz HDR?

A friend asked me way back on the Philippines about this aisurix rx 580 as i know nothing about this type as i never heard of it nor my friend. Some say on internet it's a 570 in rx 580 skin.

Hello, I have a Gigabyte aorus rx 580 used card which i bought recently from a shop for a cheap price. The card was running quite well but recently i am experiencing some problems with it. My driver version is amd adrenalin pro latest version. I made some custom profile in the wattman including a downclock profile for skyrim modded game and fan curve xml file. Whenever i open heavy 3d games or apps i tend to load my custom xmls for better cooling. But recently i noticed when i load games and loaded my custom xmls my screen shows glitching artifacts (lines, muticolor box all over the screen) then for a brief moment the screen goes black and i get amd software error along with wattman default warning and the screen goes back to normal. My pc doesnt crash, nor hangs nor bsod but i get weird artifacts and driver crash on desktop only only upon loading my custom fan curve amd downclock xml. But on windows boot menu amd bios logo gpu doesn’t show any artifacts. So can anyone specify what might be the cause of such issue? Driver or card. I think the former may be the culprit.

Hello , I bought a second hand RX 580 Gigabyte Aorus Model from at an affordable price. GPU works almost fine at stock clocks albeit a bit hot max temp 80 c+ . So i decided to undervolt it further and managed to make it stable at 1080mv / Vram 925 mv state 7 (max temp now 74c and hovers around 69-70) and changed other values accordingly while keeping all clocks at stock value. But my question is when i was switching different values i noticed artifacting (Black rectangle box, grin yellow pink line, orange line) as well as BSOD's . So my query is did those artifacts while i was undervolting reduced card's lifespan ? PC specs : i5 9400 16gb ddr4 ram RX 580 Aorus 8gb

hi , I have built my PC with a new PSU days ago, a bitfenix formula gold of 550w , and the cable mangement for me was a bit hard , some cables are harder to route with this PSU, and my case and me didin´t help by much too I am already not the best doing cable management , the first obstacle was my 24 pin cable that was too large because the tape that is used on the cable to route for any hole on the case , after that I had to route the CPU cable under the GPU because the cable was too short but it´s fine because since it looks like it´s safe by some opinions and don´t look so ugly as it could be IMO , but what is worring me right now are my GPU cables , because I don´t know if it´s safe to have like it is right now , it seems that the cable is so thick , seems like that on the end of the cable when connecting to the GPU connecter does some resistence and it´s touching my side pannel , I don´t have to force the side pannel to close but it touches it. but the connection seems solid and the gpu doesn´t seem to bend or anything . I am doing something wrong on the GPU cables? it´s safe like it is ? tried other ways and the cable had more bends or some twisting that didin´t liked to see . Photos: https://imgur.com/a/CXJFLML

I built my PC in November of 2019. Parts were (originally): r5 2600, asrock b450 pro4, (2*8)16gb 3200mhz crucial ballistix, gigabyte windforce rx 560 4gb, 256gb nvme ssd, 2tb hdd. It worked just fine and I successfully used it as a hackintosh just out of curiosity. I have since upgraded from that gpu to a powercolor rx 580 8gb. I have not tried to hackboot with the 580 until last night. I wanted to check that catalina would work with the upgrade so i uninstalled by game drive and boot ssd and installed the mac hdd. I did this because i thought it would be more simple than dual booting through bios. after i plugged the hdd in it wouldnt post. fans spinning and lights on, no post. i reset the hardware back to my boot ssd and game drive and it still wouldnt boot. I panicked and borrowed my friend's pc (r3 3200g, msi b450m pro-vdh max, evga gtx 960 2gb, (2*8) 16gb gskill 3600mhz stock but running at 2666mhz for some reason) so i could troubleshoot and make sure i didnt kill my parts. First I put my 2600 in his system. Booted just fine, so the processor wasn't dead. Next I put my 580 in his system with my 2600, boot successful. I then put his 3200g in my motherboard and booted just fine with on board graphics. so my motherboard, cpu, gpu, and ram are still working. I went back to my original config and didnt boot. It seemed to be a bios issue, so I went into the bios with the 3200g and set everything to default settings and tried my 2600 again, unsuccessful. I popped out the CMOS battery and left it out overnight so it would have plenty of time to discharge (I know that probably wasnt necessary but other people online said it could take that long). I put it back in this morning but still didn't boot. Any ideas? The next step I was gonna take was updating the bios. Considering how risky that could be, are there any other options that would work? -

Today I was installing xbox controller drivers on my Logitech f710 controller because Windows was not loading the plug and play drivers of logitech correctly ,so I manually on device manager tried to install xbox 360 controller drivers and the system just crashed , I saw some artifacts on screen followed by a black screen , so I powered off the system on the power button as it was not responding to nothing ... then when I boot the system it scans my SSD after scanning tries to repair windows and fail to repair so I started on safe mode and it started normally , I unistalled all controller drivers and restarted again the system and it started fine but I noticed that on event log shows some warning on a AMD display driver that have failed and recovered and some kernel power error after I started the system again . . Then I´ve run 2 benchmarks on heaven benchmark and 1 h of stability test on aida 64 and , reeinstalled the controllers drivers this time instaling xbox 360 receiver drivers on device manager ,until now I had no crashes again . what it could be ? just a driver issue on the gamepad or something else .... ? Latest AMD drivers says something like this on issues notes "Some users may still experience black screen or system hang issues during extended periods of gameplay. AMD will continue to monitor and investigate reports of these issues closely." I was not gaming anyway so idk if it is related in someway . Buld : CPU :AMD a8 6600k MB :MSi a88xm-e35 RAM: Corsair xms3 4gb(x2) PSU: Bitfenix Formula Gold 550w GPU: AMD XFX GTS XXX RX 580 4gb System: Windows 10 pro 1909 (fresh installed on 6-3-20 because I´ve changed the PSU) SSD :KIngston A400 120gb HDD:WD Blue 1tb 7200rpm HDD 2 : HSTG of 500 gb , some 2"5 model of 5400 rpm Temperatures on full stress on AIDA 64 during 1 h : GPU 81ºc maximum , CPU: 49ºc maximum , MB : 31ºc maximum

Been using the following spec and system for around 5 years now: i5 3570k 16gb DDR3 ram 500w psu (gigabyte ga-z77x-d3h motherboard) EVGA GTX 960 2gb Short story: I was replacing my gtx 960 to the one I got from a friend which is RX 570 4gb reference model, that was from his Dell inspiron tower (used for 1 year). I also have RX 580 4gb that I bought from Ebay. Desktop turns on with fans spinning and LED lights on mouse and keyboard, but no signal on monitor tried Hdmi to Dvi-d cable, no signal. Tried different monitor with hdmi to hdmi..no signal. Things Ive tried is CMOS, Reseat rams, diff PCIE slot Update: so, here is what bios looks like using my old GTX 960 and looking at Bios https://ibb.co/n17HxB2 https://ibb.co/JQm8D9d Window is installed on Legacy https://ibb.co/8Xw1MSJ I have a feeling that its about bios..but idk what to touch and try. Hi guys, I'm building a system soon and wonder which card is better (both are the Asus rog strix 3 fan design). I want to know which one is better and if the difference is significant. I've heard that AMD driver updates made the rx 580 perform much better than before? I really don't care if I have nvidia or AMD card in my system. Nice to meet you Back in 2015 ~ 2016 I built this build: CPU: i5 6400 Motherboard: H110M-DGS (Not quite this one, but very similar) Ram: 24 Gb 2133 Mhz GPU: GTX 950 Gigabyte OC, 2GB Case: InWin 301 Red Tempered Glass Premium Micro-ATX (Not quite this one, very similar but the one I got is discontinued) Storage: 1TB WD 3.5 HDD, AND NOOO SSD!!! I spent around 1000$ CAD for this build. To make matters worse, I bent the cpu socket pins! I re-bent them and then it worked (I bent like 20 of them, but when I fixed it, everything worked!). So now four years later, I'm having a hard time running games like Warzone. So, I really fucked up. To redeem myself, I wanted to make a really good build that focused on price to performance. By the way, if you're wondering why I did not get a better graphics card it's because I don't really care about graphically intensive games all that much, I play a lot of Supreme Commander and my processor was holding me back so the GPU upgrade was just a luxury. What do you guys think?
