Hi, I have a problem with GPU Rx 580 2048sp 8GB. I have tried with many motherboards but still fail. However, recently I have tried it with a riser, and it finally works. So I reversed my action by putting it directly in motherboards, and It is still not working. Only Riser can revise my Rx 580, regardless of the boards. Please help me explain this situation. PS: These are the boards: Huanan Zhi X79, Asrock B250 Fatal1ty Gaming, MSI Z390 Gaming

System specs: Motherboard: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600G GPU: MSI RX 580 (Not sure on specifics as I can't find the paperwork on it currently) Previously was a Sapphire HD 7790 SSD: Western Digital WD Blue SN570 250GB (OS Drive) HDD: Pulled out of an HP, not sure on specifics, used as an extra drive for storage, is a 1 TB drive PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 80+ Gold 600W Non Modular RAM: Crucial 2x8GB DDR4 3200 OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit I'm not sure what is actually causing the issue, however it seems to be consistent with the use of google chrome and video playback. It originally started with the HD7790 I had installed initially, the driver was constantly getting corrupted, I believe is what it said. I tried a few different drivers for it and ran furmark with each install and showed no issues other than the GPU itself was getting a little warm, I think knocking on 70c, assumed the card was finally starting to die after jumping from system to system for years being as it consistently was having issues with the drivers freaking out. It was pretty consistent every time after reinstalling drivers it would work for a day or two and crap out again. So I replaced it with the 580 I bought off ebay, reinstalled newer drivers for it and it has worked for a few weeks now, maybe a month, and it just did the same thing. I have another HD7790 that I know is working as well as another system to test these cards in if you think that would be necessary, but I'm starting to wonder if it isn't just an issue with the drivers, especially being as I now can't use the video output from the CPU either. I used the AMD Cleanup Utility between each install of drivers. I have used the legacy drivers that AMD still offers, I have a few drivers from before that I kept for back ups, though they are windows 7 drivers so won't install anyway. I believe the 580 is also on a legacy driver, though it comes with the adrenlin pro instead of the non pro version that came with the 7790. And in case it makes a difference I need the Adrenlin interface so I can adjust the overscan/underscan of the "monitors" that I'm using with this system, they are tvs that have lost the remote to adjust the overscan or did not have that option in the first place. I use this particular PC as a "home entertainment" system as well as light office type work and internet surfing. Basically a catch all for everything non gaming, several people in the house hold use it for streaming tv in the living room, checking email/social media, and as a googling machine. So I am not sure of the exact causes of the issue, but typically I was told it was whenever trying to watch a youtube video, and just now I fired it up to put on Amazon Prime Video and it freaked out while trying to load the page. It is currently working fine, no stutter in playback or anything, however I have lost access to the adrenlin pro interface (which is consistent with the hd7790), but the overscan setting is saved which it wasn't doing with the 7790. I have yet to try to reinstall the drivers again for the 580, being as it is currently being used, nor do I off hand know of which bios version it is running, though if memory serves it is running a newer bios version, not the newest but a newer one. I'm sure I'm forgetting some pertinent information, so if you are needing any more information from me please ask. I am computer literate, though I'm not a programmer by any means, I'm capable of simpler trouble shooting solutions and can figure out some slightly complex solutions. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Edit: Added a picture of the pop up, guess its not corrupted, just timing out. Though the hd7790 actually said something about the drivers being corrupted or something to that effect.

So the issue basically is, when I press the computer's power button, it generally starts up. However, I notice a quick blink of a white light and the fan spins really fast for a short time on the GPU. Then, I hear the Windows starting sound, but the screen stays black and the monitor doesn't seem to get any signal from the GPU. But I think the computer is still working fine in the background. Now if I press and hold the power button for more than 5 seconds to force restart the computer, then everything will boot normally. (The fan doesn't spin too fast, the white light doesn't blink, and the screen shows up as expected) The PC will run for hours without any issues. When it happens? If I normally restart the computer or if i shutdown and turn in back on within short period of time, the issue doesn't show up. It only happens if I try to start the computer the next day after shutting it down and unplugging it. This has been happening at least for some months now. Troubleshoot I've tried: turned off fast startup and hibernation from windows power settings. reset MSI Afterburner profile and disabled windows startup option. stress tested the GPU to see if something is unusual but nothing seems extraordinary. Computer Specifications: Software OS: Windows 11 version 22H2 build 22621.2134 AMD Adrenalin Software: 23.5.2 Radeon RX 580 Driver Version: 31.0.14057.5006 Hardware Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Graphics Card: Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz Storage 1: Gigabyte UD Pro 240GB SSD Storage 2: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard drive Power Supply: Antec VP500P Plus 500watt Display: ViewSonic VA2215-H The whole setup has been around 2 years old at this point but it wasn't used as a regular though (on average 5 days a month). Let me know if you need some more info to help me troubleshoot and get rid of this issue.

It's been bothering me, I just bought a pc (pre owned pc) with a Ryzen 5 3400G It runs great but I plan to get a gpu to match my monitors refresh rate, but I'm not sure if my power supply (Corsair CV450) can deliver the full potential of the Rx 580, and Im worried it wouldn't be comaptible Specs: 16 Gb Ram Ryzen 5 3400g Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite Corsair CV450 Please help!

History: So my PC was built in Jan 2019. always used 1080p 60/75hertz TN/VA monitors. Even back then, my second monitor would suffer from turning on and off during gameplay or even normal usage. It was the bad house wiring and no Earthing connection to the PC. Fast forward to 2022. Got a new 144hertz. it does the same thing, when turning on Fans, the monitor turns off for a second. We fixed the wiring, that solved the issue. 2 weeks ago, Cleaned the PC and changed CPU fan and after that the monitor is not turning off from power fluctuations, But ever since ive got 3 BSOD's. Browers crash at random times. PC on its own closes heavy demanding Applications like Steam. So fresh installed the Drivers and that stopped that BS. Here is the issue. every time i start a game, my PC does this weird notification sounds of a Device getting plugged in and Unplugged. Further more, my monitor turns on and off with that same plugged and unplugged noise when im gaming for some time. It depends from game to game how its affecting the Rate of this issue. Here are is the list of games ive played and the amount of time the Screen turns on and Off. 1. Halo MCC - H2A = when ever i fire my scrab gun for more than 2 seconds as burst. (halo 2 Skulls on) Videos to show issue: around 16 seconds into both the videos. 2. Forza horizon 4. Never does this. i get 120-144 Frame in Forza and runs smoothly and never i have got this Monitor on/off issue 3. Valhiem = it does this once ever like 30 mins 4. World of Tanks = Does this once every 45 mins, sometimes every 10 mins Yesterday i got BSOD when i shot a tank while full zoomed in, and the tank was bound to explode, instead my PC gave me blue screen 5. Hitman Blood money: was streaming this game 2 days ago and i got the issue every 20 mins 6. 7 days to Die = Every 1 minute. it was soo bad that i deleted the game. FORGOT TO MENTION: This only happens when i am using this 144 hertz Acer Nitro on DP, but when i plug it through HDMI, the issue goes away. My old BenQ monitor was plugged through same HDMI cable and it still had issues. even tried to use a convertor cable for using both monitors at same time, cuz they both were HDMI and GPU only has 1 HDMI port. back then i used DVI port to HDMi cable. The GPU is running in Silent mode and these are the Idle stats I would like to know how to Diagnose the issue with the PC, is it the GPU, Mobo or the monitor or something else

I live in a developing country and i want to build a gaming pc on a tight budget. I've chosen i3-12100F with ASUS Prime H610M - E D4. My GPU options are GTX 1650, RX 6500 XT and RX 580. All are under my budget but I'm confused if i should go with a PCI Express Gen 4 card with 4GB VRAM since my CPU is 12th gen or go with the RX 580 which has 8GB VRAM but PCI Express Gen 3. I will be gaming on 1080p only. Pls do not recommend buying a used GTX 1080 or similar because there are almost no options on the used market here and its very risky. Also I'd like to know the required wattage for my PSU. Newbie PC builder here so not really sure how to choose wattage for PSU. Help is appreciated :)

Hello, as of right now, my GPU doesn’t seem to be working. Or at least it doesn’t seem to be giving putting an output. Backround info: I was playing one day, and then all of a sudden, my PC suddenly shut off. This never happened to me before, and I’ve had my PC for less than half a year. So after it shutdown all of a sudden, I of course attempted to turn it back on. But once it did turn back on, I noticed that my GPU fans weren’t moving. Every thing else was turned in, the lights behind my mobo were still on, my CPU fan as well as my case fans were still running. The only thing that didn’t appear to work was my GPU and it’s fans, as my monitor was showing “No input.” I looked online and tried a couple methods to fix this. I removed my RAM sticks and replugged them and removed and plugged back in my GPU, but no results were made. Can someone please give me some advice? My current specs: PSU: Corsair 650w GPU: rx 580 CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (with stock cooler) Storage: 500 GB SSD RAM: 8 GB x 2

Hey everyone! I was recommended posting here after mentioning the performance issues I was having in Star Citizen. First off my system specifications: GPU is a RX 580 8 GB CPU is a Ryzen 5 1600 I have 16 GB Ram And 1 SSD as well as 2 HDDs I am also on Windows 10 Alright, so I've been having quite severe performance issues for a few years now (I got this rig sometime in ~2016), beginning with Minecraft, where I was unable to run the game with shaders at more than very unstable 40 FPS. Now for some reason I can run shaders just fine at smooth 70 FPS now, which I assume is due to an update to optifine, I still get massive lag spikes in MC, with or without shaders. Now more recently: I've been playing a lot of Star Citizen and I noticed that when moving the game to my SSD it took up over 120 GB despite the file being only ~72 GB. CP 2077 did the same thing for a while. I temporarily fixed that issue by reinstalling windows, it is now back though. Aside from that I get less than stellar fps, at about 15 to 30. Other people with the same setup seem to be able to play the game normally, whilst I can hardly dock a ship without crashing. And my CPU and GPU aren't even close to 100%. I have tried nearly every trick I could find: power settings, optimizing windows and Radeon software, reinstalling, overclocking, etc... Currently I am running the game at a lower resolution with AMD sharpening, min settings, affinity set to what this guide recommends (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/50174/thread/developers-hate-this-boost-your-ryzen-performance-) and having the game set to high priority. I am getting ~25 fps in the station but very unstable FPS everywhere else that range from 15-40. I would like to add that I can play Battlefield 5, Anthem, Valheim, rdr2, CP2077, and any other game just fine. Or at least not drastically worse than expected. Thank you for reading, I hope you have a great day! - Demo

I have an RX 580 pre oc'd from Sapphire which randomly crashes in some games. I see the shutting down with the buffer wheel and for a few seconds the computer is off but then suddenly it turns back on by itself and the GPU fans ramp up to max speed. This lasts for about 20 seconds before the PC shuts off again and when I turn it back on there's no information on why it crashed leaving me confused and scared. Can anyone help me? Has anyone else had this issue?

Aa I said, I got a RX 580 and it's behaviour is weird because if I set the voltage lower (it easily overheats to 85-89 degrees so I have to undervolt) it just uses more wattage..? If I do set it lower sometimes I do get a higher stable clock speed but if I go into a game it crashes. The lowest value I când set fire 1366 mhz is 1080 sadly... Anything below that and it doesn't work. Right now it's kind of stable but I wanna know if I can do anything to get it lower?.. Kinda everyone on forums etc said that they can get it to 1030 mv or something close to that and well that would be a huge deal for the temps but for some reason the wattage kept rising. The clock wasn't stable in furmark and neither in superposition. I did get it to be stable with +50 power limit but isn't that just bad since I did undervolt it and it still needs extra power than the 100% power limit?... My card is a XFX GTS XXX EDITION 8 GB and it's in a pretty small and with just-a-small-82-mm-fan-as-exhaust case. That should be the main point of the overheating but it doesn't explains anything about the core clock. It isn't thermal throttling tho, it was on 100% fan speed all the time. The fans did start doing a weirdish noise but it stopped and came back etc. No noise at 90% but it does sound a bit weird (only if you listen clooooosely*barely hearable* at 60%). Please let me know if I should add more info I can't think of anything else right now since it's early in the morning and I created this thread now so that I can actually maybe get some responses for later.

Hello guys, 3 days ago my rx580 had started to have some issues , the fans were spinning, but i was getting no display. i had a problem with the amd drivers, some settings just refused to change, i reinstalled the drivers and restarted, after i tried to restart my gpu was kinda restarting and not giving me output. first of all i disconected the gpu, but the problem seem to persist, second i unpplugged the ram, and tried to boot with just 1 slot on, that didnt work, after that i changed the psu ( no display whatsoever), changed the hdmi cable, tried swap the gpu with an older one, the pc was working just fine. I think the problem might be the gpu memory chips or smth, what do you guys think? the gpu seem to restart, and restart but i dont get any display. [fans and rgb working just fine =)))]

I've been trying to use the trick of using another gpu as output and another as rendering but windows only shows the gt 730. I have a rx 580 and a gt 730. Both are detected in device manager and on task manager. Any help would be appreciated

Hello guys! Before a week i bought 2 RX580 8GB. They were mining but still have 6 months warranty left. So one of the cards is MSI RX 580 8GB GAMING and the other is SAPHIRE NITRO + RX 580 8GB.The MSI booted from the first time i tested it in heavenbenchmark and furmark good temps no problems, but when i try to use it in nicehash for mining the screen flickers and amd drivers message shows the pc shutdowns sometimes too. In compute mode i had problems too with fragments so switched back to graphics mode. Tried different drivers still no luck the guy that sold it said that the bios wasnt modded and i checked and i think its the same that i found in techpower. Still dont know what to do with this card. So the Sapphire didn't boot on the same computer i mean the pc gave beep code and the card fans were spinning but no image either from hdmi or displayport and other. Took the sapphire to my newer pc and booted fine. But when i installed drivers and run furmark it shut down and now the 2 computers wont boot with the sapphire unless the card isnt with plugged in pcie cables, i dont know how but i maybe broke it. The first psu is seasonic 850w gold and the second is seasonic 550w gold so i dont think it has anything with the psus. Also there is clicking noise trying to boot with the pcie cables in the gpu(sapphire card) . Maybe its time to rma these gpus or give then back to the guy that sold them to me because i had many nvidia mining cards never had problems like that before, and my head now hurts.

Today I was playing GOW IV and had a black screen for a split second, after that I had continued playing for more like 1 hour or close to that and no more black screens agin , the system seems to be stable anyway ... The amd drivers continue to have this known issue "Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.",indeed this option was activated by me before I´ve open the game today... so this thing is really still an issue after all this time being a known issue ??! Hey guys! I just had a quick question. Everytime I open a game that puts a big load on my GPU it makes this weird ticking noise. I would really appreciate if you guys could help me fix it. My GPU is the XFX AMD Radeon™ RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 8GB. Thank you!

Hi, I'm trying my hand at overclocking my XFX RX 580 GTS XXX 8GB GPU model and having strange results. I managed to find a very acceptable stable overclock with the Core Clock at 1425MHz and Memory Clock at 2250MHz. I'm using 3D Mark to generate performance reports and comparing them with others online. Only others with the same specifications as myself. My best benchmark was 4812 points, the highest results with my specs is 5397 points. 5397 points was achieved on a lower Core and Memory clock than my setup, how is that possible?

I had a failed flash on my Rx 580 phantom gaming d 8gb from Asrock and it hasn't been working since, only the fans work but system can't boot with it nor display picture,so I'm thinking of using the bios programmer to try flashing the bios i backed up externally, but I need help locating the bios chip on back of the gpu,i circled only 2 I could find, lower one is named U11 and upper one is U2,so if anyone could help me out locating the correct chip would be extremely helpful.

Hi I have been running an RX 580 8GB for the last 1.5 Jears and it is starting to make problems (my games or/and drivers are often crashing). I also bought it used wich means it has been running for quite a few years now. I would buy both amd or nvidia cards but i would prefere nvidia (just because of software support) My question is which graphics card should I buy for games like GTA V / Fivem COD Modern Warfare Forza Horizon 4 Rust at 1080p with Max Settings and gta5 / Fivem with graphic mods btw. the rest of my system is a Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz, 650W be quiet pure power 11, ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming

Hi i recently upgraded my gpu and installed my old rx580 in my girlfriends pc. I've been putting my old parts in her desktop to "upgrade" it a bit but the rx 580 is causing some issues. Whenever i launch a game on her pc it ends up shutting down and rebooting, i thought it might be a heat issue but that doesn't seem to be the issue. The system now has a i7 2600 with a 1 fan water cooler keeping it wel below 50 degrees at all times. The rx 580 goes up to about 80 degrees which is perfectly fine. I believe the psu is too weak since its a 450 watt. In theory this should suffice but i think it might be because it's old and worn that it cant keep up with the new gpu. I'd like to know if my theory is right and possible fixes. I know buying a new psu is great and all but that's not in de budget (i know they're like 50 bucks or less but it's just not happening). Could i underclock the rx580 to prevent the reboots? She came from from a gt 730 so even underclocked a rx 580 is a huge upgrade. Please let me know what you think and thanks in advance! Edit: the psu is in image

Hi everyone. I know my GPU is faulty because I tested it on another working PC and it had the same problem there. It went like this: One day I got no signal on my monitor with my own PC so I took my GPU out to test it with a friend's computer. I got a signal but the PC crashed while playing a game. I turned it back on and it worked fine but I didn't try any games. The next day I turn it back on and I get no signal. I opened the GPU and changed the thermal paste and I got signal again but the fans weren't spinning so it overheated when I ran a stress test. I opened the GPU again to check if I put everything right and I noticed nothing out of the ordinary so I close it and plug it back in. Got a signal and this time with fans spinning. Tested a game and it ran fine. I turned off the PC for like an hour and I get no signal once again. I took the GPU back to my own PC and steps 2 to 9 happened again and I got no signal anymore. I know my GPU is faulty because I tested it with another PC and it didn't work so I'm looking for a way to repair it by myself or if you have a guess of what could it be. My build: CPU- Ryzen 5 3500 GPU- XFX RX 580 8 GB RAM- 16 GB DDR4 3000 MHZ dual-channel Mobo- b450m. 500 W PSU

I've had my GPU for a while, and I've been using it just fine for a couple of months. My XFX RX 580 8gb GTS XXX Edition recently (like literally started yesterday) randomly showing a black screen when opening games. As soon as I opened the game, the screen would show black, but sound would play and it was still interactable. When clicking on my second monitor, my screen would appear again, but clicking back over would mess it up again. This issue only happens in games, I still use that screen just fine. This seemed to have started when I messed with my monitor settings and increased the refresh rate from 60 to 75, but going back still didn't help. My second monitor is plugged into my motherboard instead of my gpu (only two hdmi slots total on both my gpu and motherboard, so I had to do that). I also have integrated graphics on my Ryzen 5 3400G. Please someone help, I don't know why this is happening, it happened so suddenly, and I don't know what I'm doing.

Hi. I built a new system yesterday. When I turned it on for the first time, everything lit up and the fans spinned correctly, but it gave no signal to the monitor and the white LED that says VGA was on. I tried switching the display port for an hdmi but it didn't work either. This is my specs: Intel Core i5 10600 KF Cooler master Masterliquid 240 V1 MSI MGP Z490 gaming plus Gskill Tridentz RGB 2x8 3600 MHz DDR4 Ram I don't recall the brand, but NVMe m2. 500 gb ssd SATA 3.5" 7200 RPM 2 TB HDD XFX RX 580 8 GB. NZXT H510 Corsair 550W 80 plus bronze The graphics card isn't new, I had it installed in my previous build that I planned on giving away to my brother. Since I had an r7 260x lying around I tried pluggin' it in and the system started with no problem, I even installed windows and have been using it for some hours now with no problem. I put the RX 580 back in the old build and it gave video output right away. I also checked for the MSI board bios date and it salid october 2020. I checked if 550 was enough power on a wattage calculator page and on paper it should be enough. Although I built it myself, this is my first time doing so and I don't know how else to trouble shoot it. I can't just plug the HDMI cord to the IO slot since its a KF chip. Can somebody help me please? The picture of the white led isn't mine, but is the same one I'm getting PD: In the new rig picture I know the RGB looks weird, I had the rgb cables plugged in the wrong way but I already fixed it
