Hey there ! I'm having major bottleneck issues with my current setup. Now I had a gtx 1060 3gb paired with the i5 2400, Now I replaced it with RX 580 and my CPU is now bottlenecking the GPU alot ! I have two options for the cpu due to my budget . i7 2600 . Xeon E3 1240 v2 Both are 3rd gen processors But I'm more interested in buying the xeon out of the two! What do you guys think? Can recommend a better option? Also one more thing! I'm aiming to play rdr2 with it I'll wait for your replies Sorry for bad grammer*

Hi guys! I have a doubt. My GTX 780 just died the other day and I need something temporal before a complete upgrade of my PC. So I was looking for second handed graphic cards and I found this deal. Two Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 4GB for doing crossfire for 165€ total cost. Do you think that it's a good option? My requeriments are playing on 1080p/60hz at ultra settings. I heard that this pair of graphic cards can compete with the GTX 1080/GTX 1080 Ti in some examples (depending on how optimized the games are for crossfire). This are my actual specs: -Intel i7 4770K OC at 4,3GHz -8GB RAM 1600 MHz CL7 (I'll upgrade to 16gb eventually) -Gigabyte GTX 780 Windforce OC 3GB R.I.P -PSU Tacens 750W -Hyper 212 Evo Buying these RX 580 will be a temporary solution until I upgrade to ryzen zen 2, DDR4, etc, etc.

Hello Everyone, My intent for this build is nothing exotic. Comfortable 1080p gaming at just about any settings. I just want to make sure I don't abuse my GPU in the process. No, I don't think my GPU is going to melt... I'm just considering whether or not it would be worth the effort to put a few extra fans in my case and bring the temps down. Here is a good comparison of Idle vs Load temps. Extra details attached. I'm happy with my CPU temps, though I may replace the stock AMD cooler for something quieter in the future. I'm really focused on my GPU Do you guys see these temps as a long term problem or something I should improve on? My build should be listed in my signature. Thanks,

hello there! I'm facing screen tearing problem with a game (ac origins). i play GTA 5 too. but never faced problem like this. My monitor is Samsung SyncMaster S19B150 with 60hz of refresh rate. the monitor has VGA port. and my GPU is Rx 580 which has HDMI port. so I had to use a VGA to HDMI converter to connect them. So I'm thinking right now, if the problem has something to do with the converter? or just only the monitor refresh rate syncing? Would be grateful if anybody could explain it!! Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi i am in a procces of long time comming PC upgrading i got C2D E8400, geforce 750 ti (before gtx 460 gibabyte <= it burn; before that EVGA 8800GTX artifacts after 5 years of use) with 4gb of 800mHz ram... :D I can run game titles to around 2013. So i got like 60 games that i can easly play to catch up on my entertainment... thats why i am looking for PC that can Run 2019 titles with 1080 ultra details + 2020 titles high details. I have to add that i am from Poland and we like the rest of the world have to pay big "customs" fee (if i am translating that word correctly). So most components are +15% to +33%(gpu's) more expensive then in US. So it not that easy to just add XX bucks and have something better. After long time i chose Ryzen 5 2600 -148$ Asus Prime a320m-k (i do not overclock and i can live with only 2 ram slots and i like sata port position on this motherboard) -56$ Ballistix Ballistix Sport LT, DDR4, 2x4 GB,2666MHz -45$ and XFX radeon rx580 Black OC+ 8gb version at really low price - 210$ That is very fishy becouse Aorus cost 230$, Saphire Nitro+ cost 242$ (but that card is very big amd have wierd PSU connection 8pin+6pin) and MSI armor cost 249$. Of course i exchange the currencies for your convenience. My question is: what is wrong with XFX? Did they screw that model... are theirs fan way louder then the competition or does their GPU have short lifespan.... I had in the past only Nvidia card (always gibabyte and EVGA) i am used to gpu life to be around 4-5. Can i expect the same from from XFX. Any one from you guys got this gpu and can share your expirance with me. Do i need to add 39$ and buy MSI? To put things in perspective :D i earn 31,25$ a day.

Pc specs: CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz GPU: RX 580 8GB Sapphire PSU: 650W Corsair VS650 RAM: 12 GB SSD: 240 GB , 1TB HDD Monitor: AOC Freesync 75HZ 1080p So i got my new RX 580 a few weeks ago expecting it to out perform my old GTX 750 TI FTW which i previously had. I'm having a few problems with my new graphics card, For example i used to play LOL ( League of legends) at 90-280 FPS and same with Minecraft, I used to get 300-600 FPS with my old GTX 750 TI and it wasn't even overclocked and now if i try to play the game with my new RX 580 It fluctuates around 60-140 sometimes drops below 60 which is frustrating. I've overclocked my new GPU to 2100 MHz and have provided 25% Power yet still no change. I've searched everywhere for a solution yet i couldn't find one and so have i decided to come and see if anyone could possibly help me out?

Hi Guys, I need help as i am trying to fix this for 3 days now. i bought a RX 580 nitro + 8gb, and its giving me crashes when i start two minute of kombuster or crashes a game. by crash i means black screen and then the audio goes off and the power is still on. i will have to restart in order to get it working again. but after the first crash i am able to run kombuster for 1 hour 40 minute with no issues at all, i started gaming on apex for a while and no issue for the entire duration. I have DDU Nvidea driver and AMD and use auto detect from AMD to install the new driver "Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.9.2 Recommended (WHQL)". When i do run the graphic card in kombuster temp never exceed 74, i am also able to run 980 ti without a problem (tested a friends graphic card for 2 hours). i have: CPU: i5 2400 Graphic card: RX 580 Nitro Ram: 16GB Psu: 600W EVGA Motherboard: ASUS® P8H61-M LE/USB3 Monitor: Acer 24 inch (using HDMI) The card is not faulty as i have tested it on another machine which works fine. so why do i keep getting black screen randomly? i would really appreciate someone helping me here. p.s i use to have a 660 ti and it never gave me issue when running anything this is the first time i use AMD product. Below is the setting or info in regards to my card

So I bought a used Gigabyte Auorus RX 580 8gb that was used for mining. It didn't even work when I got it but I eventually got drivers on it and now it works fine until I was playing Destiny 2 last night and the game randomly froze, I saw some artifacts, then the screen turned Purple/Pink and there was a loud buzz coming through my headphones. I looked at GPU-Z thinking it had a mining BIOS or something odd on it, and what I found is it doesn't have the correct BIOS a Gigabyte Auorus should have. It instead has Bios Version 015.050.000.001.000000 which doesn't line up with the Tech Power up VBIOS database for the model I have. https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=&manufacturer=Gigabyte&model=RX+580&version=&interface=&memType=&memSize=8192&since= When I tried to use AMD Winflash, I got a Subsystem ID Mismatch error. I really don't know what to do.

Someone, help me. I want to know the cheapest CPU I can buy (amd or Intel) to get the full potential of my Radeon rx 580 8gb graphics card. I know it is the CPU, since it was made.a loong time ago. It is the a8-5500 amd apu. Comes with Radeon hd graphics. I'm on a tight budget, so need cheapest options. For example, I should be able to run fortnite on epic settings at 75-90 fps, but I can't even get 30 usually. Help needed.

Hello, in advance I'll mention this - my GPU is ASRock AMD Ryzen RX 580 8GB Phantom Gaming X, my CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 2600, I'm running 2x8GB ram on XMP 3GHz DDR4 I've been having an issue with my GPU lacking in terms of performance, for example, when there's too much load on my GPU, everything outside the game crashes, for example, when running ReLive and/or Final Fantasy XIV with High (Laptop) graphics (which is medium high), my 2nd monitor tends to black screen and discord crashes, teamspeak I can only hear, but input crashes (doesn't register push to talk, makes weird noises on voice ativation) It happens with other games too so I had to tone down graphics and such, but after playing around with some calculators and "Can I run it" thingies, I found out that there's supposingly a bottleneck on my GPU. Could it be true and noticeable that my GPU is bottlenecking or are these not the ways that a bottleneck would show itself? How does even a bottleneck work and should I be worried about upgrading my GPU or should I consider replacing my GPU?

Hey guys, So I built my Gaming PC (well... a friend did) back in 2014, and have only really upgraded the GPU since. My first one died after 4 years then I upgraded to RX 570 4GB, but I wanted more power so I sold that yesterday, and just today bought a Sapphire Pulese RX 580 8GB... Check out my build here at PC Part Picker. I wanted to get the 2x8GB G Skill DDR3 RAM so that I can keep up with the new games but not sure if I should keep upgrading the build I have now or just sell the whole thing and put it towards a more modern PC build. What you guys think? I also wanted to upgrade storage as well but how long do you think I can get this PC to keep up with the modern games? Is it even worth it? Any help and tips appreciated. Cheers

I built a new gaming PC that I also use for photoshop and a LITTLE bit of Premiere. I bought an XFX RX 580 Black Edition, since it was 190 USD on Amazon. Seemed like an amazing deal. Also, somewhere on this forum is a list of the best coolers for graphics cards and it said that the GTS cooler for XFX cards is in the second best tier. Currently, my specs are: Ryzen 5 2600x stock cooler Corsair Vengeance Rgb Pro 16gb 3200mhz MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Bitfenix Formula Gold 650W (Tell me if there is anything I missed) Cooler Master Masterbox MB500 and the three stock fans in it, two intakes one exhaust. My problem is that when ever I get my GPU to 100% usage, it doesn't ever come down from 100% and it really heats up everything in the case. I'm getting 80°C even when I'm on the desktop with nothing open, after running a game or something. If I cant fix this stupid 100% usage problem, how can I better cool my system? And by the way, apparently Radeon ReLive might have something to do with 100% usage, burning not sure. I found that on an obscure forum deep in the interwebs and I can't find it anymore.

Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X with stock cooler Mobo: MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC RAM: 2 x 8 GB Ballistix Sport DDR4 3,000 MHz CL 16 GPU: XFX Rx 580 8gb PSU: Corsair CX450M 80+ Bronze Case: Masterbox Q300L Bought a secondhand Ryzen 7 2700x, box was unopened and everything intact. Could not get it to boot with a different mobo so I returned that mobo and purchased the current one. Still didn’t boot. Both times the fans would all turn at max speed and the white motherboard LED would come on for the CPU, indicating a failure to detect the CPU. Bought a new Ryzen 5 2600 and tried it on the board, got the same issue with a non detected CPU, was about to give up the. I tried switching out the ram. Switched from equivalent Corsair Vengeance of same spec to the current ram. It finally worked. So I the tried the 2700X with the new ram and it worked properly. Installed windows 10 and the most current driver for the RX 580. Restarted the computer and it bricked. The mobo’s CPU light comes on and the fans rev at max speed. Tried a different, third set of ram (Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz CL16) as well as all of the other pairs one stick at a time, and still nothing. Took out the motherboard, cleaned the thermal paste off the cpu and cooler, reapplied new thermal paste (Thermal Grizzly, not liquid metal), and hooked everything back up without reinstalling the motherboard into the case. The problem is still here, cpu light on and fans wail at max speed. Switched out the Rx 580 for my main rig’s 2060 and it still showed the same problems. Tried it without a gpu and the same problems were still present. The ram even works in my other pc so I really don’t understand what went wrong. It was working not too long ago when I installed windows 10 and that one driver for the Rx 580, but now it is back to the state it was in when I had defective ram. I’ve built 4 PCs and this is the first time I’ve ever had problems.

Hello, so my system has always been loud. I thought that because my case is a modified PowerMac G5 (zero sound isolation), that my case fans were what were the loudest component in my system. Turns out that last night I was able to isolate what component was making all that noise when gaming. Turns out that my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580s fans were spinning at over 2,300rpm despite the highest temp recorded by HWmonitor being only 58C. As you can expect, this makes the card EXTREMELY loud, I'm talking louder than a reference 480! Could HW monitor be wrong about the max temperature recorded? It was correct about the temps at idle and the RPMs reported matched the ones being reported by Wattman. What is even weirder is that when I was playing before I updated my drivers is that the card took like 5min to spin down its fans from the max down to like 805rpm. Even though the card was sitting around 47C. According to everything I've seen, the Zero RPM feature should mean that the fans are not spinning completely until like 55C. Could the stock fan curve have been totally borked? From what I can tell the fans should never be approaching their max RPM with the automatic fan curve on this card. Should I try switching to the other BIOS on this card? I can't find any documentation on which BIOS is which so I have no idea which one I'm using right now. Thanks.

Hello ! About a week ago i bought a used for mining RX580 8GB. The card was in good shape and it performed as expected. But today, after playing around with the clock speed and voltage (i found a stable clock speed and put the voltage settings on auto) PC suddenly shut off as i was playing a game casually. Nothing happened when i tried turning the computer on. I unplugged the psu power cable, waited a couple seconds and then re-plugged it. This time when i pressed the power button the power led flashed for half a second, the fans spun for half a second and a weird buzzing noise came from the pc. When i unplug the 8 pin power cable, the fans of the card don't spin but the PC powers on. I tried resetting the bios but it didn't work. Now i am using my old graphics card which doesnt have any 8 or 6 pin connections needed (750Ti). All these probably point to a problem with the card but i really am hoping that it's not and i can fix this. Have any of you experienced this ? Your help would be much much appreciated... (My PSU is FSP HYPER 700w)

Hello, A long-time viewer of the channel and generally curious in building a computer, never really got around to it cause I didn't have that much money and would go to a nearby gaming shop where we could rent computers by the hour... until now that I have a job and don't have the luxury of going to the nearest gaming shop and have a friend who I offered to help in building a PC for themselves. Just a bit of back story, I am from the Philippines and we have limited places in my area to find PC parts, we'd have to travel to the next town/city to the mall that possibly has more PC hardware stores, but it would still take a bit of time due to the number of store and differences in pricing for the parts, my friend wants to do casual/competitive gaming from time to time (games like Fortnite and some single-player games as well), she had mentioned that she might get a PS4 Pro or wait for the next PS5, I offered to help her build a PC instead since I know she works from home too and could benefit from something that can be used for more than one purpose. Another reason I want to build this PC for her is so that I can also know if what I make will possibly be good for me as well since I also play video games and need the pc for my hobbies and online work (I play CS: GO, PUBG, R6: Siege and some single-player games like Watch Dogs and Witcher) I've done a bit of research and wish to get a second opinion and some recommendations if possible, the prices I will put will be in Philippine Peso 'PHP' (for my kababayans out there) and in the rough conversion to USD At the time of this post, 1 USD = 52.53 PHP Currently, in my country, a PS4 Pro 1TB is priced at PHP 23,490 to PHP 30,499 / $447.17 to $580.60, depending on where you buy, my goal is currently to stay within that or close to it and to have a stable and reliable system for the next few years until an upgrade sounds or is a possible thing to do. Also, the prices I will be giving will be coming from the prices I get from Lazada.com (a kind of eBay in our country that's got delivery and a good system) I have decided to go with a Ryzen Build due to the news we've all heard recently Edit: I have used PC Parts Picker to try and see incompatibility issues and went with the B450 instead of A320M due to the BIOS needing an update in some models and I don't wanna take the risk of running into any delays or spend more money The parts I've chosen to prioritze first: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo) - PHP 4,060 / $77.29 GIGABYTE GA-AB450M-DS3H Motherboard - PHP 4,229 / $80.51 GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-16GVKB 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 RAM - PHP 5,350 / $101.85 1TB/1000GB 3.5" SATA Internal HDD - PHP 1,999 / $38.05 Thermaltake Litepower True Rated 550 Watts Power Supply - PHP 1,895 / $36.07 Raidmax Ghost Gaming PC Case - PHP 1,795 / $34.17 ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease 2019 Edition 2 Grams - PHP 300 / $5.71 What I plan to add later if budget is an issue: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB DDR5 - PHP 7,800 / $148.49 Western Digital WD Green 120GB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD Solid State Drive - WDS120G2G0A - PHP 1,090 / $20.75 Build Phase 1 (No External GPU and SSD) - PHP 19,628 / $373.65 Build Phase 2 (With External GPU and SSD) - PHP 28,518 / $542.89 The build that I will be giving her will be connected to one of her TVs that she had used before when she still had her old PS4 that she recently sold, I hope to give her at least 720p or 1080p gaming on the system Links to the Lazada pages where I got the prices in case you're wondering: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo) - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i175237008-s220278174.html GIGABYTE GA-AB450M-DS3H Motherboard - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i328590226-s701328694.html GSkill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-16GVKB 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 RAM - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i4715254-s5915876.html 1TB/1000GB 3.5" SATA Internal HDD - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i327436142-s695718064.html Thermaltake Litepower True Rated 550 Watts Power Supply - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i324864756-s679082149.html Raidmax Ghost Gaming PC Case - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i310514496-s618548988.html ARCTIC MX-4 Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease 2019 Edition 2 Grams - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i301554840-s535140639.html Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB DDR5 - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i332430290-s729552983.html Western Digital WD Green 120GB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD Solid State Drive - WDS120G2G0A - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i157935207-s191713359.html

Getting a new PC and 2 new monitors (one 4K 60HZ, the other 1080p 144hz) and am wondering if a RX 580 will run 4K on decent settings at 30-60fps. I'm just going to be using it for more cinematic, slow games. I could settle for around 30fps, but would prefer higher. Thanks, Anoraked

So while playing destiny 2 I get 98 to 99 percent usage at 140-180 FPS. This in itself isn't bad and if I set a frame rate cap of 60 even at 1440p highest settings I see GPU usage at 45-70% or so. (via task manager) Again no big deal. The problem comes in the form of my screen goes black for a few seconds and basically making it impossible to play. It seems to happen more in graphically intensive part in the game ( go figure), but it does happen in less intensive areas outside of fights. This never happens in a cut scene as those are much more prerendered ( I would assume) and don't see over 20% GPU usage. I have tried freesync on and off with no change. I have a brand new LG monitor 1440p 144hz and comes with some nice freesync software and is built around gaming. I have not done any special software to change the freesync range and I have not done any monitor overclocking. I haven't found my issue in particular anywhere yet. If any of you could help that would be great I seem to only have this issue in destiny and to a much lesser extent the division 2. ASUS prime X470 Pro R7 2700 32 GB 3200 Mhz C16 RX 580 8GB Corsair 510 M.2 960GB boot drive Corsair 510 M.2 960GB game drive Corsair RM850x in white Corsair 140mm fans galore fractal define S LG 32GK650F-B Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I may try some screen recordings and see what comes out of that. It might show me that it's a monitor problem instead. But for now, I'm just very confused.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X 4G, 4GB RAM: CRUCIAL DIMM 8GB, DDR4-2133 PSU: SEASONIC G-550W MOTHERBOARD: ASUS Prime A320M-K Sometimes at random moments while gaming my pc will just repeat the last seconds of audio output, my screen will scramble and show white lines. after that my pc stops outputting anything, no video no sound and doesnt take any input(my peripherals have leds and they turn off eg the capslock) and i have to force my PC to shutdown by pressing the power button. The moments when it crash dont seem like intense ones for my gpu either. Im on win 10. I am not OC. I have checked temperatures (fans spin) and no components go over 70C. I have fixed all corrupt win files using sfc and DISM. I have cleaned the pc a bit in case of dust. I have the pc for a year and it started doing this a month ago. I have checked for malware and i dont have any. when in windowed mode I can play bit longer. It happens for shadow of mordor and GTA if its in full screen. I have reseted my PC to no avail. I havent made any recent hardware changes. I used amd cleanup to get rid of all drivers and reinstalled them. I uses windows memory diagnostic and didnt get any hits. I havent switched out my ram or psu because i only have one of each. None of my CPU Cores are parked. What could be the cause of this or how can i find the cause of this?

Worth overclocking ryzen 5 2600 with rx580?
Jakub.. posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Is it worth overclocking my cpu if my gpu is the bottleneck? I already have my rx 580 overclocked to 1430. But my cpu never hits over 35% so would overclocking it do anything?- 5 replies

So I just got my Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G that has RGB on it. However, when I installed it into my PC, the RGB lights up in cycling mode, but I can't find the option to control it anywhere on the software, I've tried AORUS Graphics Engine and RGB Fusion app. Is it because my motherboard doesn't support RGB? Has anybody got any ideas on what I can do? Thanks.

Hello, I built my computer in February of this year. Everything had been working fine for a good long while until just recently I started experiencing a problem where the screen goes black for just a couple of seconds. It was pretty annoying but I could deal with it. Then it started to happen more frequently which made me wonder what was going on. I began to notice that for Minecraft it would occur a lot when I had my shaders on and then at other random times during my playing sessions. In Overwatch it was just unpredictable however. Sometimes it would be just fine. However there are days, specifically today, where my screen flickered black and I had to restart my computer. Another time during the same session my computer just crashed all together (this was after I turned my graphics down a little). I suspect that it has something to do with the graphics card but I'm not too sure. Keep in mind I'm no computer genius so I'm not sure if the problem is easily fixable but I was really hoping that I could get some answers and help here. I will leave a list of my PC specs below. Let me know if there is anything else that you need to see. PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Gigabyte Arorus B450 Pro WiFi 16GB Corsair DDR4 3000 (2 sticks of 8) ASRock Radeon RX 580 EVGA 650 G3 Power Supply 500GB Western Digital SSD NZXT H500i The picture is the message I got when my computer crashed. I also have a video of it happening. This is when I play Minecraft with shaders, although it can happen without shaders as well. (Sorry for poor video quality) IMG_3112.MOV
