Today I was installing xbox controller drivers on my Logitech f710 controller because Windows was not loading the plug and play drivers of logitech correctly ,so I manually on device manager tried to install xbox 360 controller drivers and the system just crashed , I saw some artifacts on screen followed by a black screen , so I powered off the system on the power button as it was not responding to nothing ... then when I boot the system it scans my SSD after scanning tries to repair windows and fail to repair so I started on safe mode and it started normally , I unistalled all controller drivers and restarted again the system and it started fine but I noticed that on event log shows some warning on a AMD display driver that have failed and recovered and some kernel power error after I started the system again . . Then I´ve run 2 benchmarks on heaven benchmark and 1 h of stability test on aida 64 and , reeinstalled the controllers drivers this time instaling xbox 360 receiver drivers on device manager ,until now I had no crashes again . what it could be ? just a driver issue on the gamepad or something else .... ? Latest AMD drivers says something like this on issues notes "Some users may still experience black screen or system hang issues during extended periods of gameplay. AMD will continue to monitor and investigate reports of these issues closely." I was not gaming anyway so idk if it is related in someway . is there a graphics card overclocking guide anywhere? AMD RX 580

hi , I have built my PC with a new PSU days ago, a bitfenix formula gold of 550w , and the cable mangement for me was a bit hard , some cables are harder to route with this PSU, and my case and me didin´t help by much too I am already not the best doing cable management , the first obstacle was my 24 pin cable that was too large because the tape that is used on the cable to route for any hole on the case , after that I had to route the CPU cable under the GPU because the cable was too short but it´s fine because since it looks like it´s safe by some opinions and don´t look so ugly as it could be IMO , but what is worring me right now are my GPU cables , because I don´t know if it´s safe to have like it is right now , it seems that the cable is so thick , seems like that on the end of the cable when connecting to the GPU connecter does some resistence and it´s touching my side pannel , I don´t have to force the side pannel to close but it touches it. but the connection seems solid and the gpu doesn´t seem to bend or anything . I am doing something wrong on the GPU cables? it´s safe like it is ? tried other ways and the cable had more bends or some twisting that didin´t liked to see . Photos: https://imgur.com/a/CXJFLML

Hi all, I'm new to building PCs, and I've just finished my first rig. I've got an MSI x470 Gaming Plus, with a Ryzen 3600 CPU, an RX580 card, 16 gb of ram, a 500w Thermaltake PSU, and a few hard drives I've salvaged from parts bins and old computers. The issue I'm facing is that I'm not getting any signal to my monitors when I power on the PC. When I press the power button, I hear and can see each fan whir to life, and the motherboard lights up just fine, but then I receive no signal to the monitors. I've tried the HDMI port on the motherboard, all three displayports outlets on my GPU, and the one HDMI outlet it has. No dice. Is there any other information I am missing?

Hi guys, I have recently built a new rig, however I have run into some problems. Pc boots up fine when graphics card is not installed, running through onboard HDMI, but when I install my GPU, nothing happens all power is good and as soon as I take it out, it starts up perfectly again. Have tried resetting bios and different pci-e slots. But cannot figure out what’s wrong, GPU (Saphire rx 580 4gb) REQUIRES 1x6 pin connected and 1x8 connector. what’s the possibility that my power connector cable is faulty? Or psu? Have tried another GPU, GTX 960 with same result. Should I take into a shop and let some professionals take a look? Hi this artifact happens rarely...usually happens when i press reset on msi afterburner...when i reboot the pc by pressing the power button it function normally I could even run some stress test without any instability or crash...so weird c5b538d5-6a6d-400b-b574-5a612d30241f.jfif

I'm building a cheap gaming budget pc. I have decided gpu to be RX580 8GB. I will be gaming at 1080p@60hz on Med - ultra depending on game. I am thinking of a i7 3770 but im worried that it will bottleneck. Should I go i7 4770 instead for 33$ more? Also, if I wanna go amd or xeon what cpu do you recommend that are cheap and won't bottleneck. Last question, is 8 gb ram (4x2) enough or do I need like 12 gb (4x3) ram? Im not going k varients because I have no idea about overclocking plus its expensive to buy a cooler and a compatible motherboard so a xeon may be good here?

Hi everyone...basiclly I have this OEM rx 580.The problem is I cant control the fan RPM.In idle mode(which is below 60c) the fan will go to 0 rpm but when im gaming it will only go to 4000++ rpm no matter how i set the fan curve. The fan seems to be running at 47% ingame but the speed is 4000++ rpm.Another thing is sometime when I play games the will stay at 0 rpm even when it reach 70c.Plz help me

I have Rx 580 8gb graphics card from sapphire nitro+ brand. it is crashing games randomly its not psu not processor not motherboard nothing else because i used strix 1080ti on same system and it worked perfectly. so assuming that gpu is faulty, is there any solution for gpu that crashed game? I am out of warranty so cannot RMA. also tried several driver versions which were stable with another gpu with crashing issue. tensed about this product please tell me if its hardware issue and repairable? I also flashed bios given to me by sapphire support team still causing issue.

Hey there guys. I have a slight problem with my RX 580 Sapphire Nitro +. The problem is that the memory clock always stays at 2000mhz which is the stock max clock for the memory. I'm also using overclock profile for 2100mhz which will sometime trigger the fans and they will ramp up for a couple seconds and then stop. My case is well ventilated, but still my GPU is staying at around 50 to 53 degrees at idle with fans stopped which is a little bit high knowing that i have direct airflow with 200mm fan on it. I'm currently using 2 monitors. 27 inch asus 144hz 1ms 1080p and 21 inch Philips 60 hz for monitoring temps and facebook. Asus is connected through HDMI and the Philips through DVI. Whenever i disconnect the HDMI cable and leaving only the second monitor on the memory clocks will return to normal idle state at 300mz and the GPU temp will drop to around 37 to 40 degrees. (The cooling block is also making contact with the memory modules so when they heat up it heats the gpu even tho it is not used) I've tried lowering the refresh rate although that if it even works it's not a permanent solution cuz i'm not willing to sacrifice 144hz,but it didn't work. For now only completely removing the HDMI cable from the Video Card works. Any ideas? Should i switch to display port instead? And i've just bought the Asus monitor, but before that i was using Panasonic 32 inch TV and the clocks were the same 2000mhz all the time... also using the HDMI for it. So maybe it is the HDMI that's causing this problem after all?

Yesterday my pc restarted itself(crashed) while playing CS GO for first time I just downloaded it, and played for 10 mins and bam it restarted. After that, I couldnt launch any game (League of Legends or Minecraft), especially BF5 or new Cod, but can use pc for everything else However, now I can play LoL but not the demanding games. Is my psu dying or did i ruin my rx 580 ? It was overclocked btw to 1500 mhz, but now its stock 1411 mhz ( saphire) My psu is coolermaster v650 gold 80 Setup: I7 2600k at 4.6 Rx 580 16 gb ddr3 2x8 1tb hdd Coolernaster 650

I have Gigabyte Aorus RX580 4GB Graphics Card.I haven't ever seen it's power draw going over 145W.? I maxed out the power limit on AMD software , but the result is same. Somehow Furmark managed to hit 180W but every other benchmarking tools or games won't.I have attached gpuz screenshots. Any inputs are welcome ?

Hi, I'm building a budget PC whit parts of my brother old PC (MB, RAM, i7 4770). I fund a free case at a shop, bought a corsair CX430 SPU for 35$. And finaly today, I bought a used sapphire rx 580 nitro+ SE for 140$. First, I know the PSU is underpower. I planned to limit the power draw of the GPU to make sure I don't break anything. But the thing is, I din't know that this GPU has a 8+6 pins connector. So I'm wondering if its possible to use the GPU with only a 8 pins connecter? (since most 580 use 8 pins) I don't plan to OC it or push it at is max until I swap the PSU. Thanks for your advise.

Hi, I was wondering if my XFX XT 500w psu is good for a XFX RX 580 8GB GTS ver. I know Its not a decent psu. In psu calculator I get 423w load wattage and 473W recommended wattage but with some fans, led strips, fan/led hub etc. that Im gonna do I get 439w load wattage with 489w recommended wattage(outervision psu calculator exper). The psu is kinda weird, I have seen confuison with his wattage so I have no clue what Im reading but its working fine. Here is a picture. Thank you for your replies. Hello everyone, I've undervolted MSI RX 580 Armor MK2 in WattMan to see how much temperature will drop from the process of doing it. While the undervolt of all states was successful, i've stumbled upon some strange voltage readings from HWiNFO and GPU-Z. When i was monitoring the card's core voltage, the core temperature was higher than the voltage, which i set on certain states. So, on 600 MHz (which is an idle state of GPU) i found that 750 mV is a stable voltage, but software shows that the current voltage on 600 MHz is 900 V. I'm using Radeon 19.12.2 version. Is it possible that there's something wrong with GPU/WattMan or is it a normal behaviour?

Hi everyone. So I'm kind of new to building PCs and I need some help troubleshooting an issue. Here are the parts: Ryzen 5 1600 ASRock b450 pro4 Corsair vengeance ram 2x8GB Corsair cx750m PSU XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU Samsung 1TB SSD (qvo I think) So this is my girlfriend's PC that I built. We built it and it was rebooting during games, so I thought we had a bad GPU. We replaced the GPU at my house (same model) and it worked fine. We played overwatch and everything perfectly. Then when she went home she wasn't getting signal to her monitor. It was just a generic computer monitor she dug up. So I brought over my monitor to test and now it's not working fine. I've yet to take it back to my house to test there again but we are getting no signal on the DP cables or HDMI (I have no DVI to test with). If anyone can help me troubleshoot this I'd really appreciate it.

I have a RX 580 (Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB) and I recently switched to a Ryzen build with a new motherboard. Everything has been fine and the performance has been great but the fans seem to max out randomly for no apparent reason now. The card never goes above 74C at most but the fans max out randomly between 63 and 74 degrees for no real reason. The temperatures are in check and the fan curve doesn't allow that so, why is this happening? Edit: I managed to solve it by uninstalling RivaTuner and deleting its registry keys. For anyone who might have this problem in the future. You need to delete the "Unwinder" folder in regedit after uninstalling RTSS. Do a clean Afterburner uninstall and install again without RTSS.

Hi so I have a relatively low spec PC (Xeon E5 2470 8-core, 32GB DDR3, Kllisre LGA 1356 m.2 MoBo, 2TB HDD, 128GB NVME SSD, Super Flower Leadex III etc..) and I have a PowerColor Red Dragon RX 580 8GB, which I picked up on eBay a while ago for about $90, a steal a few months ago. It was the last component of the PC and I decided on it over the GTX 1060 6GB, as it's probably a slightly better card nowadays, what with the better AMD drivers. Which brings me on to the issue. When I first got the card, it took me an age with starting the driver install then it stopping for an unknown reason, then I'd have to DDU and try again, until finally, after in excess of 10 times, the driver installation tool prompted a restart of the PC, which I did, and the drivers installed. The card then scaled properly to the monitor and began to output in HD 1080p, or at least I thought, but in GTA and other games it can only display 1024x768 at 75 Hz (though I haven't lowered the refresh rate to see if that would make an increase to the potential resolution, and my monitor is the Acer VG-240Y W/ FreeSync), another problem seemingly lying with the card, with the CPU easily able to output even 1440p in GTA at playable frame rates in medium/high, whilst I was getting only 60ish in the in game benchmark with everything incl. AA maxed in 1024x768 (The only synthetic benchmark I've tried). This really strange behaviour is something I've never seen before (Bad resolution, terrible driver experience on CD and online (though that may be fixable if booted in safe mode??) Poor performance in games (I'm pretty sure atleast) and just generally stifled performance.) I'm sumising that perhaps this is due to a weak PCI-e x16 connection on the board, though in a YouTube video I found that this board goes well with an RX 570 8GB, essentially the same card. This time round, however, I can't install the most recent drivers even after a DDU, and, also, side note windows 10 doesn't even automatically install drivers of any sort, which I found strange. So that brings me to my findings; 1, I have read bad things about checking the AMD user experience feedback (or whatever) box, so maybe uncheck it next time round? 2, I have also thought about installing them in safe mode/ off a disk with Wi-Fi turned off (as I did it just with Wi-Fi off last time, from the driver disk, with no safe mode activated) or 3, maybe it could be the PCI-e slot on the motherboard badly soldered or whatever, I could test it in a different MoBo as I do have more lying around the house, which could be the poor connection? The thing that bugs me about all this and what makes 3 the most likely is the fact that the resolution is poor and the drivers won't install, 2 separate issues it seems. Sorry for such a long post, but I can try all of the things in paragraph 3 and anything else anyone may suggest, and if there's any more info required I'll try to provide it. Thanks

While i’m playing games my monitor will randomly go black and say no signal but i can still hear audio. A few seconds later the GPU fans will speed up to 100% and i have to restart my pc to be able to stop them/see the screen again. i am not overclocking by the way. I have tried 4 things so far Checked all cables to make sure nothing is loose. Clean install of GPU drivers Checked temps, CPU temps are normal and GPU never went above 62°C Looked at event viewer and saw Kernel power 41 “The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.” I think that’s just from me holding down the power button to shut it off though. I have not done a memtest like i’ve seen other people with this issue suggest. Should i try that? Also saw a few people that had the same issue open their card up and see almost no thermal paste on the chip. My temps are fine so i don’t know if that could be the problem but would it be worth trying that? Thank you for any suggestions. Hey all, I'm having issues with my RX 580 all of a sudden. My XFX RX 580 XXX GTS 8GB was running fine and cool for a long time - don't remember the temps - but then recently it started running extremely hot. It is idling around 39C, and when under load it is shooting up to 77+ degrees after a few minutes. I have it overclocked to factory confirmed mhz - 1386mhz - and that used to run fine and cool. Now that, and when I set it to stock, the card runs very hot. The only changes I have made are; 1. upgrading to an i7 4930k and a Sabertooth x79 motherboard (this is when I think it started), 2. changing to an NZXT H510i case with a Kraken x62 cooling my cpu (hoped that would solve the problem), and 3. Plugged in two vga monitors to the card with Displayport to VGA adapters in addition to my main display (forget vga resolution, but think it is the 1080p for that monitor size). Tried with the two vga monitors disabled in windows, and it did not help much. Airflow should be fine - I have the Kraken and its dual 140mm fans on the front, and both stock H510i 120mm fans output in the back. I set a custom fan curve when it started running hot to try to keep it cool, but even when the fans are at 100% it still shoots up in temps (albeit a few degrees lower). Thanks.

Hello, I have a concern about mounting the G12 on my XFX RX 580 GTS XXX 8GB. I heard somewhere online that since the VRMs are not under the fans on the G12, it would not keep the VRMs cool. Is that true and something to worry about? My RX 580 is running quite hot; it is overclocked to 1386mhz, but since I plugged in two other monitors it is running hot. It is either the fact that I plugged in the monitors and its causing extra power draw, or it is because my new cpu is running hot and pulling air into the case. I will be narrowing down that soon - I have an NZXT Kraken x62 arriving tomorrow - but want to look into the G12 anyway. Thanks
