Hi folks. I got some weird thing happening. Never encountered this one before so I turn to the PC Gods of this forum. Intro: The card that I'm using is a Gigabyte Gaming Trio X 2080 its water cooled and vertical mounted due to some clearance issues. Problem: The problem I got is that randomly my pc displays (see image) tiny squares across the screen. At this state the pc is completely frozen and won't do anything. But after ~15-30sek the CPU starts working again (deezer started playing music) but the display is frozen. At this point the only thing that I can do is to reset the PC. And when it boots up again the Nvidia drivers don't "exist" any more. But after a reinstall all is fine again for a while. And this issue haven't appeared when I play games yet. Didn't have a single issue before going to water the card ran like a champ. Hey ya'll ???, I'm from europe and at the moment i can pre-order the: Asus GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER DUAL-RTX2070S-O8G-EVO for € 689,- euro's ( i know there are cheaper ones but the best one's are still in the 600 / 680 euro price range, such as the MSI TRIO, GIGABYTE AORUS, etc ) but on another site, i can order the: ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 DUAL OC EVO for the exact same price of € 689,- ? So my question is: if it's exactly the same price and the same Asus EVO Dual, am i better off, going for the RTX 2080? except for the price, are there any other advantages or reasons i should rather go for an Geforce RTX 2070 SUPER ? i'm still looking for the right GPU to buy, also looking for a Silent and Quiet one! ps: if i am going for an RTX 2080, which one of these would be the best Pick ??? : ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 DUAL OC EVO Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING OC WHITE Asus GeForce RTX 2080 DUAL-RTX2080-O8G There are barely any Reviews? on the ASUS Dual EVO version, i want to know if it's better than the normal ASUS Dual + if it's more Silent etc. ? i hope someone can help me with this.. Hey guys, is it worth around € 50,- more to buy the ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 DUAL OC EVO when it comes to performance ? its for gaming when choosing between these 2 GPU's : MSI RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING X € 649,- ASUS RTX 2080 DUAL OC EVO € 689,- the rest of my pc build is pretty up to date, ryzen 7, 32gb ddr4, hx850 psu, corsair platinum h115i AIO cooler etc. ps: with all due respect, i'm not asking about an AMD 5700 xt or any other card for that matter, since to many people love to deviate from the simple question about comparing 2 cards. so no, i don't want to pay 100/200 euros more & go for a 2080ti, or wait for an third party 5700 xt, or just because my budget is € 689,- should go for a € 800,- this or that. i am However, looking for the most silent gpu since my Build has an open case! Hello, i want to buy the "ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 DUAL OC EVO" since all the 2070's Super gpu's are about € 50,- cheaper (all around 625,- / 675,- in europe) and the 2080 i want to buy is only € 689,- right now, but what i want to know is if it's a reasonable Silent/Quiet graphics card since it will be sitting in an open case ?

Hi guys, So a catastrophe happened to me as you can tell by the title. Being a broke college student I am trying everything possible to save my components, but my dumbass and my roommate were fiddling around with the ethernet in our room to get better internet speeds and in the process I had a 12 oz. cup of Powerade sitting on a desk directly next to my PC Tower which was on the floor and powered on. My roommate accidentally bumped it and it spilled right into the top fans of my computer case, flinging the liquid droplets everywhere (thankfully there was a mesh filter on top of the case restricting some of the liquid). I heard water spilling and I looked up just to see about half of the Powerade sitting on top of my PC. I immediately lost video (black screen as if the PC was shutting down) and the PC shut itself off. About 1-2 seconds later it turned back on in which I immediately shut off the PC via the power button and unplugged everything. When I opened the case and took some of the components I could out, I noticed a series of droplets on almost all the components, but no puddles. I am extremely distraught as the GPU was an RTX 2080 XC Ultra from EVGA which was the gem of my build. I would like some input on if the GPU is salvageable? If I have to buy another one, so be it. Since the incident, I disassembled the GPU and found no signs of a short or corrosion and gave it a clean with 91% isopropyl alcohol (same for the rest of my components). Please don’t be rude I already know I’m an idiot for this, advice is all I really need right now in terms of what else to do. All the components are cleaned and taken apart sitting on my desk at home just waiting to be tested. I was going to buy a new RTX2070 graphics card for about 480€(~$525) but I’ve found an RTX2080 for 530€(~$580) which has been used for six months. What do you think, which one’s the better deal?

I originally was going to go with a higher end build with RTX2080 ti and i9-9900k but I decided I won't be using 4K so that might be overkill. Is the RTX2080 good enough to run max settings in 1440 with over 60fps in all games? Which CPU is the next step below the i9-9900k? My hope is to be able to run all games in 1440 at least 60fps, I'm only interested in the newer hardware though. One more thing, I have no interest in AMD, only the newer Intel CPUs.

Can anyone give me references so I can decide on which version of the RTX 2080 or RTX 2070 to get based temperatures? I'm planning my first gaming/workstation so I'd like to get one of the lowest temp cards https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ResidingSoul/saved/#view=VDkdmG The Ventus versions look good and were cheap but I heard they can get hot and loud (not that I care about noise too much since I'm using a giant fan on my laptop right now anyway) I've seen these numbers before but they don't look accurate to me

i might broke my rtx 2080 while switiching cases... when its on load it stays at 2025mhz with oc (same with non oc) then it starts to glitching to 1500mhz~ 2025,1630,1985,1490,2000......it goes up and down every second~ is it broken?

Hi, I was wondering, what if I underclock an RTX 2080 and pare it with an i3 8350k on 4 GHz? Will it bottleneck that much, or it will be "fine"? I am asking just for experiment purpose.

Was considering on getting a RTX 2080. But I can't make up my mind on which model. Gigabyte RTX 2080 Gaming OC - 892$ MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio OC - 973$ As you can see the price differences is huge....Gigabyte's pretty much a bare bone RTX 2080 with an aftermarket cooler slap on top of it. While the Gaming X Trio, does have a custom PCB etc. Question is, is it worth it ?? I don't OC and such. Just curious, would you guys pay more for the MSI ?? Or should I just stick with my Vega64 Liquid. I'm gaming on 1440p, thus why I'm looking for more GPU power. But I'm only using a 1700X....( may consider upgrading to RyZen 3000 in future )

Anybody holding out on buying an RTX vanilla for a super? I don't really feel the value is there for the money. From what I understand they pretty much have a bit more performance than their vanilla counterparts that are factory OC'd from AIB's. Personally, even fancy OC cards only offer negligible performance gains from my experience. I've already cashed out on a 2070 black gaming last week, I guess this could turn out to be buyers remorse if they're real power houses, I doubt that will be the case but only time will tell.

I am just wondering about the performance difference between different variations of the same card. I am going to be getting an Asus Strix RTX 2080, but there is 3 models. - Gaming $1199 AUD ($850 USD) - Advanced $1249 AUD ($886 USD) - OC $1299 AUD ($921 USD) The only difference between them is the boost clock and I am comfortable overclocking which is no issue. I was just wondering if there was any sort of binning that goes in to those, or should I just go for the cheapest version and hope I get lucky? I am definitely going to be getting a Strix card as my whole setup is Asus and and I have always enjoyed the Strix lineup. Thanks.

Hello everybody, First of all, english is not my first language so, I´m sorry for the mistakes. I just got a Zotec 2080 AMP Edition on a Christmas raffle (I can´t it believe too). The problem is that my pc is not new and I think the other parts are bottlenecking my GPU. I can´t get consistent frame rates in games like AC Odyssey and BF5 and other games like Overwatch, Dota 2 and CS-GO I get worst framerate than my GTX 970. The system I have is the following: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 ( now is the RTX 2080) i5 4960k MSI Z97 Gaming 5 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Samsung EVO 970 M.2 SSD WB Blue 1TB HHD My idea is to upgrade to a i5-9600k, 16GB DDR4 2400MHz, Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X and I´m not sure if I need a better PSU. Will this config be enough? Thanks guys!

Back in september i switched out my 970 for a brand spanking new 2080. I quickly experienced that the card was under performing though, only reaching 60% usage in most games, 100% in Forza, and some times it just rejects everything and slowly goes to idle usage (youtube video is of the event). I as many other people ended up blaming my i7-4790k for the issues, blaming it on a CPU bottleneck and to few lanes, since i was running the card in 8x. Last week i switched out my 4790k with a 2700x, thinking that new mother board, new ram, new cpu, would do the trick. But alas it did not, exact same problems as before. Getting 10 - 20fps more, but i write that off as the 2700x doing its job. I have tried most solutions: Reinstalling drivers using old drivers "Buying a new everything else" Checking Bios settings regarding the card (running at 16x) Making sure the card has enough power, testing differences between nvidia DSR and non DSR. Overclocking Under clocking Using only one display. V-sync I know allot of people have this same issue, and most of them just get scurried away with "CPU bottleneck". Hey. I'm in dire need of a wifi adapter for my PC (where I'm going an Ethernet cable isn't viable). I have a slot available for an M.2 Key E wifi adapter on my motherboard (ASRock z390 pro4) but the issue is my rtx 2080 is in my no.1 PCI-e slot, and my m.2 key e resides below that. So my GPU will be butting closely up to the wifi adapter I'm looking at, should I buy thermal pads to keep some heat off of it, or will it be okay?

I have an MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio. Every time I launch Rainbow Six Siege, I am at 99% GPU usage at the main menu, and in game I am 90%-99%. When I play an older game like CS:GO I am in the 80% GPU usage and my i7 8700 CPU usage is in the 85%-90% range, which should not be happening on this type of build on a 9 year old game? This has been happening for a few weeks. I use MSI After Burner for custom fan curve, and Riva Tuner for overlay to display these numbers. Here are the steps I have taken: Rearranged settings in Nvidia Control Panel. Reseated RAM. Reseated GPU. Blew all dust out from PC. Applied new thermal paste to processor not GPU. Reinstalled windows. Updated/Flashed BIOS to latest version. Spent an hour and a half on the phone with intel who confirms chip is known good, saw test results. Spent an hour with Corsair tech support who said RAM is known good. Attempted to call MSI tech support. ZERO help the guy was just trying to get off the phone. I am at a loss at this point, Hardware seems to be known good however no one can give me an answer? Here are the specs I am running. Keep in mind this build is less than a year old. I'm currently putting togehter a new rig for a friend and for now I picked a KFA2 RTX 2080 Super because it's one of the more affordable 2080 Supers on the market. But I randomly stumbled upon the Gigabyte 2080 non super which is cheaper and now I'm wondering if both cards perform the same, because in that case I'd pick the cheaper 2080 over the 2080 super.

Hey there! I got carried away this Christmas and built a new pc, the only things I kept from the previous rig are PSU and GPU. Now I'm wondering if my psu is powerful enough. First let me go through my specs so you know what I'm dealing with. I'm running a i9 9900k (no overclocking yet), 64gb of ddr4 ram (4x16), a 1080ti, AIO cooling (kraken x72), 3HDDs, 2SSDS, and 2 m2 SSDs. With that, a whole bunch of rgb everywhere (don't know how drastic that can be on power draw) and 6 fans. All that, on an old Corsair Cs750 gold. Knowing that I'm about to swap the 1080ti for a 2080ti, is my old 750w psu enough, or should I go for a brand new 1000W to avoid any shortage. Thanks in advance, sorry for the long read.
