Hello. I always wanted rtx 2080 as the next best thing. RTX 2080 TI is really expensive. Stores are pulling their 1080TIs from shelves to push 20xx series so 1080ti is no option for me anymore not even used ones. I play at 2560 x 1440 at 144hz so extra fps is always good but ... Prices: RTX 2080 is 1000 dollars RTX 2070 is 708 dollars According to benchmarks the fps difference is at 2K aproximatelly 10-15 fps less than 2080 depending on the game. I feel like price/performance wise the 2070 is much better buy here. What do you think? Edit: I am not from USA. I am from Europe.

Hi all, I'm building in a very limiting case that demands I use a GPU shorter than 180mm. I've also got a PSU limitation in that the largest capacity power supply I can get in my form factor is a 500w one (Flex ATX). As for my CPU, I'm opting for the R5 2600. All that said, I am looking at the MSI GTX 1070 (right now hovering at $400.00), the Gigabyte GTX 1080 mini ITX ($550.00 and up if you can find it) or maybe trying to wait for the MSI RTX 2070 mini ITX (no price announced and no date of launch as of yet). The thing is, I don't have a different GPU to slot into my new system in the meantime, and I've already purchased everything else that I need to build the computer. I'm a little worried about not being able to test everything before the return window closes, but that 2070 kinda looks tempting, since people are saying that it will launch somewhere in the neighborhood of $500.00. THAT being said, we don't know if it will be plagued by overheating due to its small size. On a final note, I'm assuming that a RTX 2070 does not have the power to do any kind of raytracing in any real sense, and that doesn't bother me. I just want a good GPU that's gonna last for a while without falling behind the times. Thanks in advance, folks.

So TLDR version, i have a great deal on an RTX 2070, its for 620$ and since im in europe that is a banging deal. So im planning to buy a 144hz 1440p monitor and it does have free sync but no g sync. What my question is, should i go with the RTX 2070 and get better performance, or go with the vega 56 and lose performance but have the adaptive sync. Keep in mind vega is quite old now, and just like the 980 Ti and the 1080, as it gets older it will get slower. The specs are: 16GBs of 3000mhz ram R5 2600 Ocied at 3.8/9 so i think it can run fairly optimised games like BF 1 and 5 over 100Fps even at 1440p. What to choose? Help me out

Hey guys, I´m on a RTX 2070 (ASUS version) and I got less FPS the reviews says. For example, guru3d says the RTX 2070 has 120 AVG FPS on DX12 thats give u 10 or more FPS on DX11. Well I have a 2600X at 4.2 and... a Seasonic 550 Gold Plus by Focus. Maybe its a stupid question but its normal having 60 to 90 FPS only in this game since AVG is 75 on 1080p at Ultra?! Kinda strange since, well, should performe alote better... or not? I updated today the newest drivers still no improvemente there... My powersupply isn´t the problem right, since alote ppl can handle it with a GTX 1080Ti! Im thinking to give it back (RTX 2070) and go for a GTX 1080Ti but Im affraid that PSU can´t handle or it maybe it isn´t worth 250€ I gona give as difference... What u think guys?! Thanks!

Hi there, i'm experiencing some problems too: i've just upgraded my GPU from a gtx 970 to a INNO3D X2 RTX 2070 and installed it today. I've made that upgrade to play flawlessly on my new 144hz MSI Display. The card runs "normal" but with some stutter here and there. And the biggest disapointment was when i launched Dota 2 and saw that the game runs at 70-90 fps (low or ultra quality whatsoever), when i was running it at 110 fps on my 970 before. Then i've tried with some other games like AC Origins, same thing: 41 fps in average on ultra for the 2070 against 45 fps for the 970. Then i've tried to do what moderators suggested: Try "High Performance" in NVIDIA Driver Settings...had some problems with "Optimal Performance" , then configured the graphic options in Geforce Experience, nothing worked... That let me think that's a driver problem because i dont see what can bottleneck it in my hardware: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Intel Core i5 6600K @ 3.50GHz HyperX Fury DDR4 2133Mhz 8Go ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. I mostly play and Stream CSGO but I want to be able to play and stream other/more demanding games. I know this rig is probably way too overkill but my degree will most likely require support for media editing. Also any recommendations for a laptop for basic word processing and microsoft office application and maybe basic video editing are appreciated. Since I am (hopefully) going to be a university student, I am on a budget. My budget for the Streaming PC and the Laptop is £2k Any part/laptop reccomendations are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

So, I got a Gigabyte RTX 2070. When I first installed it, It was working great. I got higher fps than my 1060. As days passed, I noticed my fps going down I was averaging around 60-140 fps in Fortnite with my custom settings down below (Same or worse than 1060). Is there anyway I can fix this. There are example of things I did to test my GPU below. My specs are Ryzen 5 1600 at 3.6 GHz, 16 GB ram at 2933 MHz, Asus Prime B350 plus Mobo, Alienware 240hz G-sync 1080p monitor, RM750x 80+ gold PSU, and last but not least the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070. Please help. This is my first post on here so...

Hey, I just bought a rtx 2070 and I want to watercool one of them in side of my Cooler Master H500p. I found a compatible waterblock from "Watercool", the "HEATKILLER® IV for RTX 2080 - ACETAL Ni". I found it in this very usefull LIST, all their blocks with a product number between 15600-15604 are compatible with rtx 2070/80´s with ref. pcb´s. So, now to my question, what kind of pump will i need, for this gpu? I will use a 360 rad, cuz i can^^ At the top of the case i have allready installed one aio for my cpu, with a 240 rad, i will move it to the front and install the pump on it like in this VIDEO. I want to buy a pump from "EK Waterblocks" , so, wich one should I buy??? I know watercooling for a rtx 2070 is overkill, BUT I love to do stuff like that, and its my hobby after all. So, "<insert random watercooling vendor> TAKE MY MONEY"

1. I was wondering what the optimal way is to undervolt my RTX 2070. I have a Zotac RTX 2070 blower edition so I need to keep my GPU cooler without sacrificing performance. 2. Is there any AIO GPU cooling solution out there for RTX 2070 reference designs?

Hello, I'm new here so I hope this is the right place to ask my question and have read through the Community Standards. I'm planning on buying a pre-built PC within the next week or so that has a RTX 2070 but I just watched Linus's video on the new RTX 2060's possibly coming out soon. My question is: should I wait to order the PC linked above until after the new cards are released for the sake of possibly getting a better deal on said PC or does it not really matter? I choose this new PC because I want to play Anthem and future titles on the highest settings possible on a 1440p monitor above 60hz and wanted to keep my budget around $1500. Not sure if this relevant but here are the PC specs: CPU: i7 - 8700K GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 8GB RAM: 16GB Motherboard: Z370 Thank you for your time.

So the gist of it is, after getting a tech team to clean out my PC and put in a RTX 2070, as well as a new EVGA 600W PSU an audio issue has arisen. Once I turned on my computer, I noticed it was quiet and lo and behold, my headphones have stopped being detected. They no longer show up in the list of playback devices when I open up the sound menu. Furthermore, my Blue Yeti microphone also has this same issue. I've attempted reinstalling Realtek HD Audio, disabling NVIDIA audio drivers, and a few other non-noteable methods to regain my headphones but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

PSST... apparently no SLI/NVlink support. " Everybody expected it when Nvidia announced the GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti at Gamescom. But Nvidia still pulled off a surprise, revealing the GeForce RTX 2070 at the same time—albeit without any concrete launch details whatsoever. Now, mere days before the slightly delayed RTX 2080 Ti hits the streets, Nvidia has announced release date information for the GeForce RTX 2070. The GeForce RTX 2070 will launch on October 17, Nvidia’s GeForce account tweeted today. The Founders Edition model will cost $599 on GeForce.com, with prices from third-party partners like EVGA, Asus, and Gigabyte starting at $499—at least in theory. In reality, we’ve seen custom cards treat the Nvidia Founders Edition cost as the true price baseline when new GPUs launch. The timing of the launch is interesting. GeForce RTX 2080 reviews proved divisive: Benchmarks showed it performing neck-and-neck with the GTX 1080 Ti in traditional games. Worse, the cutting-edge technologies that Nvidia’s radical Turing GPU was built for—real-time ray tracing, Deep Learning Super Sampling, and more—aren’t available in traditional games yet (although several games have pledged RTX support). Nvidia says the first ray traced games will appear about a month after the GeForce RTX 2080’s September 20 launch, when the underlying DirectX Raytracing API comes to Windows in the October 2018 update. But will ray tracing be ready for the GeForce RTX 2070’s launch? That’s the big question. October 17 is about a month after the RTX 2080’s launch. Microsoft hasn’t announced a firm release date for October 2018 Update. Spitballing off how the GeForce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti compare to their predecessors, the GeForce RTX 2070 might wind up matching the performance of the GTX 1080 in traditional games. If that’s the case, the situation would match the RTX 2080 versus GTX 1080 Ti dilemma. You’ll be paying the same amount—or likely more—for the same level of traditional game performance, 2.5 long years after the GTX 1080’s debut. If ray tracing and DLSS aren’t available by the time the GeForce RTX 2070 launches, buyers will once again be asked to make a leap of faith in paying that premium for Turing’s future-facing features. Fingers crossed ray tracing ships before October 17. In the meantime, here’s a refresher on the GeForce RTX 2070’s core specs: CUDA cores: 2,304 Clock speed: 1,410MHz base, 1,620MHz boost, 1,710MHz OC Founders Edition Memory capacity: 8GB GDDR6 Memory path: 256 bits Memory bandwidth: 448GBps Ports: VirtualLink/USB-C, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b Power: One 8-pin, 175W stock, 185W OC Founders Edition NVLink/SLI: No Release date: October 17, 2018 Price: $499 stock, $599 Founders Edition You can sign up to be notified when the GeForce RTX 2070 Founders Edition will be available to preorder on the GeForce website. Asus already revealed ROG Strix, Dual Fan, and blower-style RTX 2070 graphics cards, so expect to see custom models around the same date. " Source: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3308876/components-graphics/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2070-october-17-release-date.html I've been waiting for this, the mid range card, but if NVidia continues their price increases, we might eventually have to settle for a 3060 (whenever the heck that comes out)

Looking to upgrade my gtx 970 to an rtx 2070 since the prices of GPU in Japan is bonkers, Availability of gtx 1080 is scarce as well. (gtx 1070 costs the same as rtx 2070) I'm worried that the bottleneck would be too huge, Would it affect my performance significantly? Anything above 60fps is fine. Is it worth it to upgrade my cpu next year? Will there be a new line of intel cpus releasing in 2019? Please recommend a new mobo and cpu combo around 40,000 yen (350 usd) Current monitor is only at 1080p I'm looking forward to upgrading it as well recommendations are welcome within (250 usd) 1440p 60hz is enough. Current specs: i54460 1x 8gb ram 250gb 850 evo ssd (real mvp) 1tb hdd gtx 970 antec 550 psu Will upgrade as soon as funds are available. ps. Will touch ur pp for pc parts

Hello, after a few weeks of research I have created a computer part list I am happy with, but I would like the experts here to look it over for any errors or suggestions for improvement. I plan to purchase these parts within the next two weeks. Budget - $1500 USD Location - USA, I plan to purchase parts from a combination of Newegg and Amazon Goal - Play a wide range of games (From indie to AAA titles) at Ultra settings on a single 1440p 60Hz monitor. I typically play strategy, building, RPG, 4x games rather than competative FPS type games. For this reason, I don't feel that I need a 144Hz monitor. Theme - Trying to go for a Black/Red theme with the build. Reused Parts - I already own the 1TB SSD listed on the build as $0. Additionally I will be reusing a mouse and will get Windows 10 from school. Other Notes - I know that the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors are very popular recently, but I would like to stick with the Intel i5-9600k if possible. I plan to do some overclocking with the processor. Additionally I believe that this setup will initially be overkill to only run 1440p at 60Hz. I would like this computer to be able to hold up for a long time (4-6 years ideally). My current computer build has held up for 6 years (i5-3570k + GTX 660). Can you please check the build below and: 1) Check for any errors with compatibility 2) Check for any problematic bottlenecks 3) Let me know if the cpu cooler and mobo are suitable for moderate CPU overclocking (I have no experience with overclocking, but would like to try it with this build) 4) See if the 1440p 60Hz monitor I selected looks good, and if not, suggest a better alternative Thank you, and feel free to ask for any more info that can help! Hey everyone, I just recently got my hands on an RTX 2070 card, and I'm not sure what are safe temps? I my GPU will be rendering at 100% usage for 10 hours a day 4 days a week. It currently hovers around 70C at max load but I'm not sure if that's a reasonable temp for my card. I have the GIGABYTE WINDFORCE model. Thanks

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an RTX 2070. It's the 3 fan GIGABYTE WINDFORCE model. It has an RGB logo which I want to customize, but for some reason the RGB Fusion software just isn't working. No matter what I try and do in RGB Fusion it's not affecting the color of the GPU's LEDs. It worked the first time i installed it, but then it just randomly stopped working. I have tried to uninstall everything related to RGB Fusion and GIGABYTE from my computer and then reinstall it, but it make any difference. Thanks everyone!

My other specs are: amd fx8350, mb asus sabertooth r2, ddr3:16gb dual chan, psu: intertech 750w (650 real), win 10 ver 1809. What could possibly cause this? Latest drivers from nvidia also either low or ultra same thing in bf5, cpu usage 100% mostly, gpu: 50 ish %. Should i return the 2070 and get new generation everything and stick with the 970 for now? Thx alot.

I recently received a Gigabyte AORUS XTREME RTX 2070 as a pretty big upgrade to my existing Radeon RX 570. My question is do I need to upgrade my PSU to support it? If I do, what should I get? So I just bought a rtx 2070 and when I plugged in my displayport cable, it only displays at 1080p when my monitor is 1440p. it also won't send any audio to my monitor. I know the cable works because I had the exact same one plugged into my 1060, it was displaying at 1440p and sending audio. Any advice would be great

So, I'm new to PC gaming and I was excited to play games on my new system so I got it all setup and downloaded Battlefield 5 (which came with my PC) and it loaded into the menu but promptly after selecting multiplayer it crashed to the desktop, it has done this on multiple graphics settings.
