So I've tried browsing on Steam & I've come to the conclusion I hate the way they sort things. Why can't everyone learn from Newegg & let me check boxes for what I am & aren't searching for to fine tune my search & or browsing results. I'm looking for a free, decently rated, third-person either Shooter, Action or Adventure RPG. I know WarFrame is an obvious first choice on Steam that checks all those boxes, but I want more options because I ain't deciding just yet. As some of you know I play RuneScape mostly, so my standards for graphics aren't too high lol. Although I do value a games U.I a lot & my recent week long Perfect World International experience left me with a massive headache so I'll never do that again. I also play a little Real Racing 3 on my S7 so if decent graphics are possible in whatever you suggest, fire away. What I don't want is something equally long term grindy as what I already do or completely pay to win. I love how you can do whatever you want at any time in R.S by not being restricted to pick a particular race at the beginning like many other games are. I've heard that's pretty rare in the free category though, so I guess you could say I'm looking for a poor-mans GTA. Thanks in advance & for everything else y'all have helped me with in the past.

I'm dogging my way through Mass Effect: Andromeda on my console. This is my first Mass Effect experience. Yes, yes, yes. I know. It's a crappy game. Weird broken bits in the Research. Landmarks that blink in and out of existence. Sudden lag. Illogical decision trees. Frustrating combat system. Made by EA. Its moments of visual brilliance keeps sucking me back in. May I have OTHER SUGGESTIONS from the forum? Ideally, I'd like a Witcher3 (my ideal go-to game for visually-pleasing/RPG/FPS/well-crafted-game) in outer space. Thanks in advance, eh.

Hello People, Anyone know of any sites that sell sprites for games, Google search don't really bring up anything like what 3D has available (Unity Store) I am 4 years into Education, 3 years Game Development, 1 year Computer Science and I am have two options on the table. I can neither create 3D models and animations myself and use Unreal or use Visual Studio and SDL to make a 2D cell shaded game. I don't plan on making this an over night project, but something I can do for a few months to a couple of years, figured I got all this education, but nothing more than whats been asked of me to show for it. Some may say this isn't programming related, but I say it is because I can't be the only programmer that has game ideas and no art.

I am doing my first pc build on friday, (without the gpu), and will be getting a gtx 1070 when I can eventually find it in stock. However, I don't have any PC games other than CS:GO, rocket league, and the bioshock series (which I got on a good deal previously,) as I am coming from the xbox one. To narrow it down, I like open-world, fps, rpg, adventure, and similar games mainly, but I am willing to try out different genres. I do not like horror games though, and I would probably not play any indie titles. Some big games to base your recommendations off of can be things like far cry, battlefield, gta and the witcher. (I only own far cry 4, gta 5, and battlefield 4 on xbox one from these names, so feel free to recommend any of the games from these series's as well.)

Having played wow from BC and being a massive Diablo fan, breaking away from Blizzard wasn't easy. Over the last year I have tried supporting WOW but there is just no community, and on top of that, lack of enthusiasm with my irl friends. Diablo 3, while I found to be an enjoyable game, I have pretty much done... everything. Reaching leaderboards every season was fun for the first couple... but now it has become... not fun... I need a new game, I have tried a few but just can't get into them. These include: Dragon age - I think primarily, the polish on the game wasn't there for me - and the single player (while fun) lacked the co-op features to make it "great". Guild Wars 2 - Massively enjoyed the game at launch, but now lack of community during levelling phase has caused me to quit. I imagine the end game content is what I'm looking for, but the grind and loneliness to get there is too much. Trove - To be fair, the rpg style was good idea, basically a minecraft mmo with dungeons - was pretty fun, but the refusal from my friends to play in turn made me stop playing. League of Legends - Played this game for years, but the Moba style is getting old for me! Massive community (while sometimes cancerous) helps a lot. Allowing for lots of guides and people to learn and play with. The only reason I don't play this game a lot is because (although a lot of teamwork) lacks a major end goal (i.e take down x boss for loot). I think the game I want to be playing has to have HEALERS (gosh, the amount of games nowadays who don't have healers!!). I am a PvE type of player, I want a game that involves teamwork with healers, tanks and damage dealers, that take down bosses for gear etc. I see a lot of wow clones, but they all seem to lack something to make me go "I want to play that" like wow used to. The game I'm looking for doesn't need to be an MMO, but allow for like 5 or so players to fight together. If any of you have some good game ideas for me to try, I would appreciate it. I have a pretty good PC, so don't worry about game specs etc. TL;DR - Looking for a game me and my friends can sink some time into, with good co-op involvement, MMO/RPG style. Thanks all.

So, Two games are on sale that I want, but I have no idea which one to get. My options are either Shadow or Mordor or Elder Scrolls Online. Yes I know they are two different types of games but which one do you guys think is the most enjoyable and has the best gameplay out of the two? Also can you give reason as to why you like that certain game over the other? Thank you so much in helping my decision.

Looking for a new game to get into. Could be an mmorpg, rpg, fps, anything that is really immersive and has a lot of content. Not looking for the basics(L4D, Halflife, portal, WoW, borderlands, witcher, csgo, tf2) something different. I haven't played the new assassin's creed, so lemme know if that is worth playing, but hopefully somebody can introduce me to something new. (I don't like anime rpgs, or turned based strategy games*except i like civ V)

Hey everybody! So I'm very new to all of this, but I've researched quite a bit over the past week and checked out quite a few interesting builds. I've also used logicalincrements.com and pcpartpicker.com as a guide to help pick my parts. So here's my rundown: I'm on a $800 budget for my first build, which I would like to be mainly a gaming PC. I plan on starting out with just one monitor and then upgrading to possibly two or three in the future. I'd also like to play it every now and then on my TV (52 inch samsung) whenever I have friends over. I'm really into RPGs, MMOs, and fantasy type games, so I was trying to optimize the build for resolution and fps. Finally, I don't plan on overclocking, unless it's absolutely needed for what I'm shooting for. I'm completely open to criticism, so let me know if my build seems a little off compared to what I want out of it. CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Graphics Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 280X 3GB TurboDuo CPU Cooler: Stock Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2H Micro ATX LGA1150 RAM: PNY XLR8 8GB(1 X 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory SSD: OCZ ARC 100 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Case: Fractal Design Core 1500 MicroATX Mini Tower Power: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Let me know how that looks. Thanks everybody!!

Greetings, I'm nearly done with getting the parts of my upcoming Haswell-E build, and I'm "just" missing the GPU, and would love to hear your thoughts and advice. A bit of background first: I tend to play on a regular basis (1h to 2h a day, sometimes several hours in the week-end); my favorite games are role-playing games, hack n' slash and driving simulations, no interest in FPS. At the moment, I'm playing mostly Diablo 3, but I'm interested in Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition and GRID 2. My current 6 years-old rig is Nehalem i7 920 and single GTX 275, running on a 20" IPS monitor in 1680 x 1050 which works decently (no anti-aliasing). But along with the new rig, I've ordered a 27" 1440p monitor (Dell U2715H, IPS, 60Hz) which obviously is going to put more pressure on the GPU if playing at native resolution I want a Nvidia-based GPU (nothing personal against AMD, but Maxwell-based are far more quiet and watt-friendly) I strongly favor single GPU (quietness, power consumption, stability) I would like to be able to run aforementioned games with best quality possible with acceptable FPS (is 60 the minimum required or is 30 acceptable?) I prefer to be able to keep my GPU several years (I've never felt the need to upgrade my GTX 275, probably due to the low resolution) BUT considering Pascal and HBM2 coming next year, I could go now for a more modest GPU and swap it in 1 year or so My future display seems to handle 1080p very well (http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2715h.htm) so playing at 1080p might be a way to go short-term I don't really have a budget, I'm more looking at having my investment make sense So far, I'm hesitating between: GTX 960: start small and wait for Pascal approach, play at 1080p, upgrade within 12 to 18 months (Asus Strix ~230€) GTX 970: very good sweetspot, not that far from GTX 980 for 2/3 of the price, I could play less demanding games at 1440p and more demanding at 1080p, upgrade within 18 to 24 months (Asus Strix ~390€) GTX 980ti: extreme performance, 1440p games should be fine for couple years, upgrade (if necessary) within 24 to 36 months i.e. mid-life of rig's life (MSI Gaming 6G ~780€) Same as 1 but keeping my GTX 275 and keep on playing on my 20" Considering the "paradigm shift" of moving to HBM, spending now close to 800€ in the "previous" technology doesn't look to me like a smart move. So options 1 and 2 seem wiser. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Hi, I have an old keyboard SteelSeries Merc Stealth from 2004. What is a good keyboard to replace that one? Say hello to Dreeps, a role-playing game, of sorts, for mobile phones. Like many RPGs, it features a cute character exploring an alien world, interacting with objects, talking to people, getting into battles. The only major departure from standard norms is that, in this game, the player is not required to offer any input. That's right, the game just plays itself. You, the player, make no contribution whatsoever, above and beyond turning the game on. Designed by Hisanori Hiraoka, it's an alarm clock, which will wake you up in the morning and start playing until you send it to sleep at night. You can, at any time, check in on how the game is progressing. "In Dreeps, you just have to set the alarm, that's all," states the game's website. "You can have a look at the adventure on the phone put on you desk while working, during snack time, just enjoy the game at your pace. There's almost no text in the game. You can imagine your own version of the story with the hints hidden in visuals and sound." Dreeps is available on the App Store for $2.99. I really wanna get into a MMORPG and I need a friend to play with. I'm 14 and actually know what I'm doing most the time. P.S. - I'll play almost any free game and depending on what it is if it's not, I might consider buying it.
