*I know it's a bit budget on some parts but I'm getting a lot of it for an incredibly cheap price.* ======================================================================= ======================================================================= Anyway I would like to know if all this should be fine together as I'm building a new PC, thanks! *Intel i5 760 @ 2.8 GHz (planning on overclocking to at least 3.4+ GHz) *EVGA Geforce GTX 770 Super Clocked with EVGA ACX Cooler, 2GB *700 watt Power Supply *8GB DDR3 Ram @ 800MHz *Asus p7h55-m Pro Motherboard *2 x 1TB SATA III Hardrive *Rosewill Edition Gaming ATX Mid Tower - BLACKHAWK Blue *Some Standard Thermaltake CPU Heatsink *Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit I will be using all 5 fans in the included case and obviously the 2 on the graphics card. The main thing I'm worried about here is the processor as it's quite old and I'm not sure if it may bottleneck my GPU. If you think it will, do you believe upgrading to an i5-4690k will do any better or be worth it? =========================================== *Any other information you want me to include, just ask.* ! ! ! I have a 630w Rosewill Green Series power supply. I recently RMA'd it because it had an electrical buzz. I received my new one yesterday, however the same buzzing occurs, so I don't think it's the power supply. The strange thing is that the buzzing doesn't seem to occur when I'm refreshing an internet page, in the BIOS, or when the machine is powering on. The buzzing only seems to occur when browsing the internet and using applications and games at the desktop. It's less apparent in games however (probably because the CPU fan and GPU fan get louder and mask the PSU noise is my best guess) I tried to use a different power supply cable and plug it into a different outlet however it still happens. Its buzzing as I type up this post. PCPartPicker build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qcyDnQ And also I'd rather not RMA again.

I'm getting a new case for my PC. I've been browsing for a while now, and I've narrowed my selections down to five cases which are all compatible with my build. My problem is that I just can't decide on one of them, so I came to the forums to get suggestions. The five are as follows: Rosewill CHALLENGER ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153 ) Cooler Master HAF 912 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233 ) Cooler Master Elite 430 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119227 ) NZXT Source 210 S210-001 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146102&cm_re=source_210-_-11-146-102-_-Product ) Corsair Carbide Series 200R ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139018 ) Thanks!

Ok i am looking for a keyboard.... this is very difficult for me as i have used nothing but membrain keyboards and dont like change. With that said i think it is time for mechanical as i have heard nothing but good things about them. I would like the keyboard to be under $100 and has to have led lighting, a palm rest would be nice but...... not the most important thing. Some keyboard i have looked at are: Corsair k70 (Out of price range, put still a possibility) logitech g710+ ( A little out of price range but seems nice) cooler master storm (Not Full size but i could probably deal with that) Steel series 6gv2 (No led) rosewill helios (Dont like the dual led unless you can change the colors, but i don't think you can) With all of this said i don't know or have a preference on cherry switch colors due to having never used mechanical keyboards. I dont want a razor keyboard. Thanks everyone for the help!

So lets kick this off. Heres the newegg link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CjwKEAjwgYKfBRDvgJeylem9xDUSJACjeQ7AEue-vQ46dZi6-vDwH6WIPrHpa8idUg0zYB3b1V1tHBoCWGPw_wcB&Item=N82E16811147160&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Computer+Cases-_-N82E16811147160&ef_id=U86NRgAABH@OGuz7:20140805203648:s Pros: Case is 50 dollars, it's very spacious which will likely make it nice for first time builders and the like. Features the tooless lock thingys, which are nice for mounting SSDs. Relatively okay build quality, but don't expect much. The metal is pretty thin. Attractive case, very conservative. Red and black goes well with almost all amd cards. Lots of expansion (HDD, optical drives, SSDs) Cons: (so far at least) Build quality: see above Lack of motherboard standoffs; the case included 7, but there are 10 marked (ATX) slots for them to screw into. This left me a little confused as to which ones to place where. I opted for all four corners, center, and two on the left side where the pci slot is. I don't know if it is common practice for cases to ship without all the standoffs....? The placeholders between the pci slots were very hard to get off, and bent my slot a little bit. Once again, the metal is very thin. Fans are pretty much garbage (these will be coming out soon for some Corsair 120 Quiets) Plastic clips that held in the placeholders for the optical drives on the front panel are very easy to break. Mine has stress fractures in it just from pressing down gently to release the placeholder. Rubber gromits around the bottom of the PSU, but none near the optical drives or the HDD cage. Overall: Cheap case, but effective for what it does. Very roomy. Shoddy build quality in some areas, but its my first build so I'll let it slide this time. Next time I'll definitely be going for something around the $100 range. 4 stars.

I made this thread because these updates are part of my Anthrax 7.0 Build Log but go much farther into detail than whats needed from a update that doesnt directly apply to the build. I do however think that this is great info and something that everyone should do if they work in dim, dark, or no lighting. If there is something you want to know about that I didnt cover or cover enough or something you think I should add in please let me know. I read all input and try to answer all questions as best I can. Remember to to receive continued updates automatically and check out the main build log to see how this fits in and gets put to use. Sub-Update #1: My new baby needed some ice. Sub-Update #2: Lighting it all up! Sub-Update #3: Almost forgot one, kidding Sub-Update #4: Cleaning it up.

I'm asking this because I want to be sure on what I need and such, soon I'm getting a Saphire Tri-x R9 290 4GB, and I want to know what is needed for sure so it won't melt through my PC and through the floor. My case is currently this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133191 All the fans that came with it are still the ones I'm using 200 x 200 x 30 mm Colorshift Front Fan x 1 Included (600 - 800rpm, 13 - 15dBA) 200 x 200 x 30 mm Colorshift Top Fan x 1 Included (600 - 800rpm, 13 - 15dBA) 140 x 140 x 25 mm Rear TurboFan, 1000rpm, 16dBA Here's a copy paste from what it uses. I added an extra fan that is a Rosewill 120mm fan up top, blue led. I don't know what fan EXACTLY, that's all it says on it appearently. It came from my last case, a Rosewill Challenger. It's blowing outward. Should everything be fine? I've not into OCing just for the sake of OCing, nor Bitcoins, just Gaming, videos, recording, that old good stuff. And if so, how far can I go with this cooling? Can I at somepoint Crossfire? I am also using an extra desktop fan blowing into the side of the case, because there's still that spot with a filter that air can flow through, so why the hell not lol. No need to worry about quietness too much, though it may be a bonus, some blue LED definately being a bonus as well, but I'm more someone who likes more efficiency and reliability, so air flow, and reliability above all else, please!

Like the movie/game title esque name? Lol Alright, so this is pretty much an Intel + AMD GPU build (hence the subtitle "Forces United") all created within a Rosewill Blackhawk mid-ATX case (hence the main title). Here's the link (in case you're interested in the parts specs and what they look like): http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HhJYLk Here's the actual list: CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1240 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($267.98 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($56.98 @ OutletPC) Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($259.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Rosewill BlackHawk ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Rosewill Hive 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($67.99 @ Amazon) Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.98 @ OutletPC) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC) Total: $967.88 This build is actually closer to 1,000 dollars, but PCPartPicker seems to really enjoy including the rebate and combo prices. The build is going to try an maximize the performance of video editing and rendering, while having also having decent/good gaming performance as well. I choose the Xeon because it's pretty much an i7 only you can't OC it and it doesn't have an iGPU (therefore it's a lot cheaper). The i7 has slightly better rendering performance than the 8350 the Xeon actually beats the i7 in video rendering since it's generally used as a workstation CPU (most of you know this). The one flaw towards this CPU is that I'm going to be losing about 3-10 FPS in games because the actual i7 beats the Xeon in gaming. I choose the AMD card because the 280X (at least from what I've seen) for the most part beats a GTX 770. What I'm mainly interested in though is that in Sony Vegas the 280X is HALF the time of the 770 when it comes to rendering 1080p videos. SO, that's why I choose the parts, my budget is roughly 1,000 dollars, what would you change, add, remove, recommend, ETC!? Just curious about how you all feel about the build and I am happy to take all forms of feedback. Thanks, Jackson

I would like to thank Rosewill for providing this wonderful keyboard for this video review. They have this keyboard in different switches: Brown, Red and I think black as well. I have a request from you guys, give me some constructive criticism about reviewing keyboard. That will be greatly appreciated!

I recently found out about the Cooltek UMX2, and thought that it looks really clean and simple (which I like). I think it's marketed as the Rosewill Legacy MX2 in the US. After looking at some picture of the inside, it seems like it has poor airflow. I'm not expecting you to be able to put the hottest hardware in it, but atleast a decent gaming PC. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the case and if so, how is the airflow? Also, this is my first post on the LTT forums, so hello everyone!

Hey guys, So basically I have a custom PC with a Rosewill RNX-N250PCe wireless adapter. A while back it was still working fine and it could connect to my home Wi-Fi most of the times. Two weeks ago I upgraded the connection to a fibre network and the adapter can't connect to the network any longer. I was given a new router: DIR-865L, dual-band 802.11ac. So now there's a 2.4Ghz and a 5.0Ghz network. Another PC can connect to either networks, but the problematic one can detect neither. A few networks in the area showed up but none of them was mine. There were two occasions when it could detect and connect to the 2.4Ghz network but that was it. The next time the computer was switched on none of my networks showed up. I've spent quite some time searching for an answer online but there wasn't any solution. So I'm turning to you guys. Thanks in advance! What I've done: Booted up the computer in safe mode. Same problem. Reinstalled the driver. Nope. Change PCIe slot. (I was desperate.) Messed around with the adapter settings. I forgot to mention that it's unlikely to be attributed due to a weak signal because my mobile devices can detect both networks in the same room as the computer. I'm also getting relatively stronger signals on another computer.

It's a great little unit for any single gpu config due to the low number of pci-e cables despite that it should be able to support some multiple gpu configs otherwise.
