I was trying to root my phone with the "Newest Root Method V03" which is a one click root installer for android devices. When i started this I had everything set up, all the drivers installed and updated, etc. It started normally and it shut off my phone and tried to find my serial # or something for the root and when it started back up it disconnected from my pc so i had to go into settings and turn on pc tethering and it connected again and turned my phone off and went into download mode and got stuck at 0% in firmware update. It disconnected from my pc again and is stuck and wont shut off and im not sure what to do please help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197 <------ Link to where i downloaded the root and got instructions. I used the First Method. LG G3 D85520G is my device it was stock. It is currently sitting on my desk beside my slowly dying stuck on the firmware update screen. Not plugged in. Edit: It died.

I have a Galaxy Nexus i515 (Verizon LTE version) running 4.2.2. I rooted it but forgot to make a system backup and didn't install any special recoveries. Once I was rooted, I installed SoftkeyZ (an app that can change the look of the android soft keys). After a few days, I rebooted my phone for whatever reason and the soft keys disappeared altogether. Reinstalling the app did nothing, rebooting the phone did nothing, factory resetting did nothing. I've been trying to find a way to completely unroot and flash the stock OS, but for whatever reason Odin won't recognize my phone when its in recovery mode and I can't figure out how to do anything. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Hello! I need help finding a way to root my samsung galaxy s5 i9506. I have seen several websites on it, but I'm not sure it's reliable, and I really don't want to brick my phone. Also, another thing, is there any way to root my device without losing my data? This isn't necessary, but it would be nice Phone Info: Samsung Galaxy S4 i9506 Carrier: Vodafone Australia Build Number: LRX22C.I9506XXUDOL1 I have never rooted before, so if you need anymore info feel free to ask! Thanks!

I was tired of my LG G PAD V410 being on android 4.4.4. I stumbled across Cyanogenmod 13 which would install Android 6.0 onto the tablet. So in order I, Downloaded CyanogenMod 13 Downloaded Gapps.zip file for Android Marshmallow. Copy all .zip files to the storage Installed TWRP Recovery on G Pad. Booted into recovery using Flashify hit wipe, cache, data, and dalvik cach. Installed CM13 and Gapps using TWRP recover. Then I rebooted and it started "optimizing apps" It got to around 126 of 186 and then it went into a loop that says "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped." then I hit ok and it loops it. So now I am stuck in a boot loop. So now I tried to do a hard reset with my device, but I cannot seem to get there. I googled it and it says to hold your power down and power button and the recovery screen will pop up but it takes me into regular boot. I am frustrated now because I think I have bricked the device. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I've had a rooted android device for a long time. I found out that i can't update my android device higher than 4.3 because of the modification. I also disconnected from my snapchat account and now I can't log in either. So I have followed some instructions and tried the unroot command in SuperSU, I have also deleted all other root softwares after unrooting the device. I used Root Checker to see if my divice was still rooted, and it wasn't. After all this, I took a good reboot and tried to update my device/log in to snapchat. It still says that my device has been modified and I can't update it. Same with snapchat, I get the "Oh no!" error, So I tried factory reset option, and it didn't work either. Now I'm kinda sad because I lost almost all of my pictures and I'm working on it with recovery software. Do you have any idea on how to make my phone "fully" unrooted so I can finally update my device and log in to different accounts? Thank you for your attention, derpylt

Hi guys, I don't know why but I can't root my LG G4 (H815) because of a weird problem I have. Basically, before I install the LG Drivers the phone is detected on the My Computer screen as usual from my pc but as soon as I install the drivers the phone no longer gets detected and it shows up as "LGE Android MTP Device" (see Photo 1) in device managment. Does anyone knows how to solve this? Photo 1: Photo 2 (tools I'm currently using to root, this is my first time trying to root an Android phone.):

hey everyone I recently rooted my Lenovo yoga 10 hd+ and was removing some bloatware and I think I deleted some system files which caused a never ending message(system "file" missing) so I rebooted the tablet but it wont start , it loads upto the Lenovo - powerd by android page but after that its just BLACK! I couldn't access the recovery mode which they say is opened by power + vol up but when I pressed power+vol down I got into some kind of menu which had factory reset, sd update, erase internal sd etc I factory reset the tablet but nothing happened I looked for the stock ROM and downloaded it , it is a .qsb file from the Lenovo forum and seems to be legit I couldn't find a way to flash it on the tablet can someone please help............?

I recently installed android 6.0.2 on a stock note 3 (sm-n900w8) using this build by custom recovery(CWM flashed by ODIN) http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3238064 then i also installed superSU and busybox using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1929852 (first one) and randomly after around 1.5 days of use every time i open the keyboard it displays "unfortunately, system ui has stopped" and when i press OK it goes to lockscreen. 1) tried changing the keyboards and installing swift 2) tried clearing cache in recovery Update: 1)i tried safe mode by adb shell su -c 'setprop persist.sys.safemode 1' since my power button is broken and the issue disappeared 2) disabling and re enabling google aosb keyboard solved it

Hey LTT, So I am wanting to root my Galaxy S6 (regular not Edge or Active) with Sprint carrier but I don't want to end up voiding my warranty from the Knox gate. I found a .apk program called PingPong that claims it can bypass the gate and thus give root access without voiding a warranty. Has anyone used this and can confirm it works and is legit? Also, if it isn't, is the warranty the only thing that is voided on my phone so I don't have to pay a fee or anything if I do end up having to use Knox? Thanks, -MDPS

Hello there, I had my Oneplus One rooted a few month ago and today i finally decided to unroot to update the OS. After unrooting with SuperSU I tried to update but while rebooting to update TWRP booted and didn't let me update. So i downloaded the latest cyanogenmod from cyanogenmod.org to flash it with twrp. I reallly am a noob when it Comes to mobile devices, rooting etc, so i downloaded "Latest Release recovery" because when booting it says recovery  i feel kinda dumb while saying this Anyways not knowing what to do i flashed the Image to boot using twrp and after restarting the cyanogen recovery boots, but nothing else. How do i boot the System? And how do i updated now? I tried "Apply update" in cyanogen Recovery but it only takes .zip files or something like that and i only have the .img and i can't get the zip from my pc to my phone because Windows does not identify my phone as something it just says something went wrong when i try to connect via usb I know it was bad to do something i don't know anything about at all and i dont think i will root my phone ever again, because it takes so much effort and knowledge to do an update. Thanks in advance for any help

Disclaimer- This is not my guide. I just wanted to bring this here so other people can see this. This is originally from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61507699&postcount=35 Also, don't be a moron. I have only tested this on the Alcatel. This can brick your phone! Backup your data if this is a phone you have been using for a bit. Antutu should not be on the SD card. It takes a bit to initialize. 1] Install Kingroot 4.0 and AnTuTu Benchmark on your phone and put them both on the desktop. Make sure you install the android download and allow unknown developers. Also turn off lockscreen in the security settings. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antutu.ABenchMark http://kingroot.net 2] Run Antutu and when it hits 10% click the home button and open and run Kingroot and execute while Antutu continues to run in the background. Don't touch the screen when Kingroot is doing it's thing. 3] After Kingroot hits about 20% give or take the phone will restart 4] Soon as phone boots back into desktop it will be laggy, quickly open Antutu and run it and immediately hit home button 5] While Antutu is running in background go into phones settings>apps>find Kingroot and "clear data" and hit home button 6] Open kingroot and execute (antutu should still be running in the background) 7] It could work right away, or take a few tries. If not, repeat steps 3-6 again. For me, it took me 3 tries. But, it took one try for my sister. Xposed framework works well on this. (Some modules can softbrick your phone. You may be able to fix this by going into the boot loader and resetting there. Happy rooting

So what does Rooting your phone do and does it void your warranty, make it less stable... etc.?

Hello everyone, I'm a newcomer to this awesome community. In my spare time, I decided to make an Android Boot Animation based on the LinusTechTips' new intro animation. The bootanimation is 1080x1920 @ 30fps (playback smoothness may vary among devices). You will require your device to be rooted in order to copy the bootanimation.zip file into /system/media (path may vary). Hope you will enjoy it. Mega
