I have an ASUS ROG GL552JX with integrated Intel HD 4600 and a dedicated NVIDIA GTX 950M. Applications using the integrated graphics are working fine and does not show any artifacts. The same thing cannot be said when using the NVIDIA GPU (changed thru NVIDIA Control Panel) Does this mean my GPU is dying? The only thing I've tried was reinstalling old/new NVIDIA Drivers. laptop sucks ay? I have ROG Matrix GeForce RTX™ 2080 Ti P11G Graphics card started to overheat. i bought this used and had it for about 3 months. However it was working perfectly fine prior. Graphics card at idle is 35c Idle temperature never goes above 40c GPU doesn't actually crash it just has high temperatures. While playing Warzone or Apex Legends the temperature on the GPU automatically increases to 88c. I tried Following things to lower down Gpu temperature Thermal Paste changed Removed Dust from fans Clean PC case 100% full clean on the PC, every part was taken out and cleaned. Both the CPU and the GPU have new thermal paste. A this moment there is no dust in the PC Checked for VBIOS update Made sure that all the drivers were up to date from motherboards, gpu, cpu, everything. The PC has more than enough cooling. I ran the PC with side panels removed, and front panel removed as well, I put a house fan in front to allow more air to flow through. I checked for leakage on the GPU built in AIO when i replaced the thermal paste there are no signs of it leaking. i checked every component. i ran the fans on max speed and the same thing continues to happen. I have Asus ROG Strix G G531GD-BQ036T. I installed WD SSD (nvme) into the empty given slot. I installed fresh windows 10 on the SSD, but when I the time came to change the boot priority, I restarted and pressed F2 to enter bios but it got stuck on the logo (Republic of gamers). In order to boot normally I have to remove the SSD, than boot to windows fro HDD. Than insert the SSD and boot to the HDD windows. Please someone help me.

HALP! I can't update the BIOS on my mobo! ASUS chat support wasn't able to help. They told me to use FlashBack, but that just blinks the light three times, then stays on. I let it sit there for 30 minutes thinking it was doing something, but apparently a solid light after the blinks means the installation got borked. Taking a step back: the reason I thought to try to update it is because the network card on the board seems to be out of whack. I don't know if it's a hardware problem, but Windows won't allow me to turn Bluetooth or WiFi on, even though they show up in System Information (copy pasta from that at the bottom of this post). Any thoughts on that would be swell. Here's what I've done so far trying to figure out the BIOS problem: Downloaded the most recent BIOS from Asus (Version 2423) Ran the renamer script that comes with it Moved the renamed .CAP file to a FAT32 USB drive Booted up BIOS and ran Flash 3. When I target that CAP file, it says "not a valid UEFI BIOS" (paraphrasing slightly because I don't remember the exact verbiage). Alternately, as I described above, I tried FlashBack, which didn't work Checked AMOURY CRATE (screenshots below), which lists my BIOS version as 1804 (which was released in Feb '21). But when I go to Tools > BIOS, it says there are no new BIOS available. I'm concerned that between the network issues and this BIOS mystery, my mobo might be borked. Bought it back in July from Micro Center, so I think I'm outside of the retail warranty, but hopefully still within ASUS's. Thanks for reading this far and for any help in advance! Love this community - first time posting but I've been gleaning tech support here for a couple years, ever since I started my PC building journey. Hi all, For some reason my brand new pc i built stopped working overnight after a full day and a half of it functioning normally after the build. I thought the PSU might be bad so i swapped that out because the entire PC seems like its getting no power (no lights anywhere no fans either) that didn't change anything. I tried de-seating the ram and booting, i unplugged the gpu and ram and tried again to see if it would at least beep but that didn't do anything. I swapped the cables all out too from the PSU to the motherboard. I tried holding down the motherboard reset button for 10 seconds that also didn't work. Is my new board dead? i don't understand what happened, its plugged into a power strip and my other desktop plugged into it as well doesn't have this issue so i don't think there was a surge or anything. Any tips would be appreciated! I have had this MoBo installed on my PC now for about 3 months, and up until recently it hasn't had the white LED light up on the board. I did some looking and saw some people mentioning that it has something to do with VGA, but I use HDMI and DP for my monitors and haven't unplugged or changed the cables since installation. When I restart the PC it will flash red then orange like normal but then go off all together but then a good while after boot the white light will come on (I haven't yet determined the direct cause) and stay on. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you. See images for reference.

I recently changed case. When I finish reinstalling my fans, I accidentally pushed my gpu down with the palm of my hand. It was like a quick push that made the gpu wobble aggressively for a brief second on the right end. My gpu is a triple fan one, it's the ROG Strix 1060 6gb OC. Did I damage something? It is working fine, but it already has sag if that's of any importance to the problem. This is how my gpu looks now:

Got an ASUS ROG stix g17( RTX 3060 + Ryzen 9) a couple of months ago. Upgraded to windows 11 via the windows utility on microsoft website, things were running okay until yesterday when I fired up Apex legends for the first time the machine went off and is not powering on since then. On a side note now the machine is heating up even though it's turned off. Anyone facing similar issue?

Strix 3090 oc Z590 glacial 11900k Rog 1200 Thor 64gb Dom 3600 Too much storage to compensate for bleh core count Summary of what I did here. #1 Painted case white pearl and flat black. Matte coat on top #2 Painted radiator and radiator cover Satin jet black #3 Black stain oak veneer cover for the psu shroud (went a little too dark killed most of the grain lol. I tried it 3 different times and well at the end picked the least grained one. #4 Hydrodipped all the black plastic on the case to carbon fiber #5 Lian li sl 120 and 140s converted to black and white with vinyl #6 Rear cover is Carbon fiber white and black vinyl on one side (embossed the logo but the white makes it hard to tell). Other side of the cover is perforated leather, but all the case components make it hard to see but what gaps can be seen from the main view, you just see leather. #7 tubes are matte mixed with jet black with no clear on top of any kind. Tried a few combinations this gave me the most of shinny but not too shinny. #8 bought the case twice to get 2 glass doors because CM can't get a man a door. Laptop temps seem a bit weird. Temps increase by around 15 degrees when I switch to turbo mode. Isn't turbo mode supposed to increase fan speed to aid in cooling? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Video attached for reference. (i7 10750H, 1660Ti, Far Cry 3). The temperature seems to reach around 95 degrees when on turbo (max fans) and stays at high 70s when on silent (comparatively lesser fan speed). WhatsApp Video 2021-10-06 at 12.41.13.mp4

Hi, So I bought an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 (GA503QR) a while back and I'm loving it if it weren't for the fans ramping up to 100% and locking there sometimes.. Anyhow on to the issue: 2 days ago my laptop's speakers suddenly decided to sound like a telephone speaker. Very muffled, and quiet. I tried basically anything except hardware repair and Windows reinstallation. So: Restarting Uninstalling and reinstalling the Realtek drivers Uninstalling the device via Device Manager DDUing the Realtek drivers and reinstalling them through Windows Update I'm 99% sure it's a software issue, since it's only 2 months old and the issue began very suddenly after a normal restart. I hope you can help me since I'm at my wits end and reeeally don't wanna RMA it since I need this laptop everyday. Best regards!

Hi everybody. I am Bjorn from the netherlands. Aka Blade21 / Blade00021 It's been a long time since i posted a full pc build. I hope you guys like this crazy stupid project! Next to customizing cars and modding them so you can drive your car with a remote control.... I also love building PC's! Clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exAkFbXiorQ WHAT am i building? I decided to build a desk PC. My last PC's where custom Mountain mod's and Danger Den's. I like big cases and many screens So now i wanted to do something different. But it had to be something 'special' / a real eye catcher and functional. After looking for hours around the internet for inspiration from other pc desk builders... i was strucked! There are so many INSANE and beautiful pc desks in the world... No way i could beat those designs. + I have a big desk for my large danger den case and i also do electronics work/ soldering etc. I didn`t liked the idea having a great fancy desk pc. And the desk next to it will be 'normal'. So i dropped the idea for a few months. >> .....Untill i saw the 'desk' from Batman in the movie: Batman vs Superman. I just loved the design! It's big / it has side desks/ and i am pretty sure its one of a kind. How much ROOM would you have for PC stuff! But man...thats a big desk! Can i pull if off? I do a lot of customizing on PC's and cars. But this was something else. However, i was a Laser operator. So i designed and lasercut stuff like acrylic and i can also bend it. So the 'vent' design on the desk should be possible. Wat really pulled me over the line... The desk is suspended from the ceiling. I thought screw it. I am gonna start building it!! Just 1 thing, i want to give it a gamers/ ROG theme. I am sure Batman will love RGB >>> I will show you guys the building progress of this INSANE project. I luv to hear you guys comments! HATE IT? / LUV IT? / INSANITY? > YES! Pictures of the build will follow soon!

Hi everyone! If anyone here owns the ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3080 Ti LC OC, how well does it perform for you? Like: 1. what clockspeeds are you getting at stock 2. how warm is the GPU and VRAM 3. if overclocking or undervolting, what are your results 4. how is your case configured in terms of airflow, cooling, placement of GPU AIO etc Seems like this 3080 Ti model isn't so popular but ey - maybe someone on here owns it Thanks

Strix G17 R7 5800H, high temps/low boost?
Shadowjump posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Just got a G713QM with a R7 5800H and 3060 115W. I noticed when running benchmarks, the max temperature goes directly to 93C in Perf mode and 95C in Turbo mode. Also, max turbo boost when running all cores is 3.6GHz. From many reviews that I saw, the boost was around 3.8 to 4GHz and with lower temps. Cinebench R20 score is 4667 (when the same laptop in reviews gets 4900+ and with a 5900 gets 5200+) In gaming (for example Tomb Raider) the CPU temps were around 89-94. Could it be that the liquid metal isnt applied correctly? -
I've just got a new ROG Claymore 2 keyboard with a hungarian layout Which has 2 extra keys compared to a basic US layout. One in the place Where the right side of L-shift would be, and the other replaces the left side of Enter. Neither of the mentioned keys work, and only one lights up with rgb. Anyone had the same issue and/or knows a solution?

Ive been having problems recently with my fans turning on very high and not being able to be turned down as the ai is controlling them, fan xpert seems to think that my cpu is at 80+ degrees celcius and then turns the fans up when im only running a few browser windows, but I dont actually know what my cpu temp is as iCue normally reads it around 30-40o and speccy reads it about 50-60 I have no idea how to fix this problem and I really dont understand as this is a basically brand new motherboard (asus rog maximus XII hero) any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi everyone, I am consdering picking up the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, as I like the combination of power and portability. I am worried that gaming on a 14" display might be a bit immersion-breaking - I won't always have access to an external monitor so will have to do some gaming using the screen in the unit. Has anyone played games on a 14" screen? Does it feel too cramped? There is a 15.6" variant that costs quite a lot more, but I will consider it if it will be a much better experience. Thank you!

Hey, I randomly woke up to find my PC could not recognize my inbuilt Bluetooth adapter. Specs: motherboard- ASUS rog strix b550 gaming Wi-Fi ( https://rog.asus.com/in/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-wi-fi-model/ ) processor- amd Ryzen 7 5800x 32gb ram(3600hmz) ,3060 card, 2tb hdd, windows 10 pro (21h1) It does not show in task bar, action center, settings or device manager(due to which i cant just update drivers) inbuilt troubleshooting says there is no Bluetooth adapter connected It would be helpful if someone can guide me through the process of getting it fixed.

Hey all, I would like to know if rog strix scar 17 laptops are good? Would you recommend another brand? the one I'm interested in has an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 9 5900HX processor with 32GB of ram. I'm in Mexico and after checking online (same specs), I think this laptop is approximately $1000 USD more expensive here. Is it normal for Asus to overprice their products in some countries, specially Mexico?

In November, my friend asked for a laptop so I searched for it and she got this model -ASUS ROG G15 G512-ES76-, which was affordable at the time in terms of price and features. We no longer have a chance to return the laptop, so we want to get the best performance out of this. You can see specs here. Look for the G512LW-ES76 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-10750H Processor 2.6 GHz (12M Cache, up to 5.0 GHz, 6 cores) GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2070 8GB GDDR6 RAM: 2x8 16GB DDR4 3200MHz Ram (they're on dual channel mode and chips are 1r8) SSD: Intel 660P 1TB SSD 1800/1800 MB/s (%7 Over-Provisioning) BATTERY: 66WHrs, 4S1P, 4-cell Li-ion I've been testing this computer for about a week. I'm a desktop user, so I don't know much about some features of laptops. I watched the review and test videos of laptops with the same specifications to see the performance that the laptop should have. Laptop can reach the same fps as in the videos. I'd say it works fine when the computer is plugged in. The CPU (45W) and GPU (115W) are reaching their required wattage. I can say it works really hot, 95°C on GPU and CPU. This device uses liquid metal and i thought it needs to be replace. But consequently it can not come out so a big impact. Because game and benchmark results are normal. When I run this laptop on battery, the world collapses on me. I don't get stuck in FPS lock. I deactivated this option in Geforce Experience and Intel Graphics. I am running in performance mode. I activate performance mode wherever possible. I choose it to use the external video card in windows settings. P.S. This device doesn't have optimus option. While running on battery, the gpu and cpu is stuck at 30-40W power limit and 55°C temperature limit. Only minecraft non rtx mod is playable -less than 100 fps-. Ac odyssey, which is avg. 55 fps when connected to the wall, gets 8 fps when connected to the battery. Minecraft Bedrock RTX, which is avg. 90 fps when connected to the wall, gets 15 fps when connected to the battery. Is there a way to remove the temperature and power limit? Is this because the battery is not delivering enough watts?
