My problems: -As you can see my ECO mod is read only on gaming center - My games play shitty -LEDs dont work on power button and keyboard - also keyboard doesnt work. Things I tried: -Downgrading bios -Reinstalling windows -Reconnecting cables of both fans and keyboard -A full cleaning inside PC At last nothing worked. I've seen other posts that imply there is no solution but sending to Asus support and pay up the same price of the PC itself. I finally found a 7 days break after 2 years and my PC chose this exact moment to break. I just want to play games so need to deactivate the ECO mod. All help is appriciated.

I bought the Antec DF700 Flux 2 years ago together with the ROG b450-f. Back then I couldn't fix the RGB fans so I am trying to do it now. The problem has come down to the fact that my Argb cables can go into the fan hub (from the DF700 flux), but I don't know how to connect the fan hub to my 4-pin RGB header in my motherboard.

I recently bought my new Asus laptop(https://rog.asus.com/za/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-scar-17-2022-series/) and it has two usbc ports, one usbc and the other one thunderbolt. I have 3 AOC CQ27G3S 27" WQHD (2560x1440) 165Hz 1ms VA curved monitors at 165hz. With this I have them connected to the Dell WD19 USB-C Dock with 130W AC Adapter from my old laptop, it works but not really sometimes (most of time) everything feels suuuper laggy even typing this. If think it could also have something to do with running on the cpu graphics. If I swap the dock from usbc to thunderbolt then my Nvidia surround does not work properly. How can I fix this is it the dock or cables? I would like to run the 3 monitors at 1440p 165hz. Please Help.

I have Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 and the screen looks a bit dull... When I turn on the laptop the screen looks perfect, at least as it should. And after some seconds the armory crate stuff starts to happen like performance/Turbo and other color grading like game visual stuff/vivid and stuff(this is when the color gets dull). Vivid Looks best in this case, but before this effects kicks in it is better and I want to keep it that way. Can someone suggest something that can make the display looks good? or stop the colors settings from getting applied in the first place.

Hello, I just bought ROG Zephyrus G15 (2022 version) with 16GB DDR5 RAM (8 soldered + 8 stick), and I just installed CPU-Z to check the RAM and this is what I got: What the hell are those readings! (575 MHZ DRAM Frequency?) (Uncore Frequency 287.8MHZ) I also got this result in SPD tab: Is this normal? Or have I just got screwed by ASUS?!

Hi there, thank you for looking. I’m suffering a no post following a failed BIOS update. So I’m running a ASU’s ROGSTRIX B450F Gaming motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600, I’ve just purchased a 5600X, installed it but stupidly didn’t think to check the bios compatibility before installing so just got no post, so swapped back for the 3609, launched straight into bios from startup and started a BIOS update on a USB drive I made on my laptop, unfortunately it failed about 50% of the way through possibly due to a power issue as light flickered and tv went off (I know I know UPS). So since then I have no post at all, switch it on, everything lights up and fans ramp up and stay there but no POST at all. I have a yellow light on QLed which suggests DRAM but I’ve taken all but one of my RAM out and reseated the one I have left. I have inserted the thumb drive into every ISB port and started the machine as supposedly it has a “CRASHFREE Bios flash” but no nothing, just turns on and stays on and nothing else no Post. I’ve taken out the CMOS for ten minutes or so, touched the CLRTC pins and again, still nothing. I’m really really upset that I may have bricked a mother board but surely there should be a way to fix this? I can’t find online the location of the BIOS chip not can I figure it out so please any help or advice really appreciated.

This is my “first” build. I bough a ASUS motherboard that comes with a ROG Fan controller/hub, there’s also the Lian Li AL120 hub, along with universal fan hub in the Evolv X case. I am not sure which to use or to either connect in series. The goal is to use minimum software to control the fans along with my water pump. The case, fans, and mother board all have integrated D/ARGB. I would like to use the ASUS ARGB software. The mother board has ARGB installed on the waterblock. Using AL 120 also There will only be (3) fan, (1) pump and ARGB connections. (5) total ARGB connections with the case. The pump can connect directly to MoBo. I would like to use the case hub to connect to the MoBo. Thoughts on the best configuration to control both the fans and ARGB?

I recently dropped my Laptop off my tesk by accident. There are some minor scratches, which I do not care about, but the screen(Display works fine) ist slightly bent so I am wondering if this could cause problems or if i could fix the bend in some way.

After using a screwdriver to forcefully release the PCIe lock and knocking against the motherboard, I hot-swapped a GPU. I had read online that nVidia and Microsoft had updated software to allow hot-swapping PCIe cards and GPUs. The GPU was not in use (video was connected to onboard graphics). Motherboard will not turn on now but does light up, albeit irregularly.

I have had lots of wierd problems with my asus rog flow x13 (more specs below) since monday this week. It all started when running android studio and the laptop just freezing. It wouldn't unfreeze so I shut it down before trying to restart. It wouldn't really restart so I "forced" it by holding down the power button for 10+ seconds (sometimes 50+), it took around 8-12 tries before it turned on and everything worked like normal. Should be said that when it's first turns on it works like normal except the few times it freezes (never while using the same programs). This "worked well" until wednesday where when i shutdown my pc and put it in my backpack (inside a pc sleeve) it didn't shutdown completely but rather kind off restarted with the pc going at full power... This is might have happend before wednesday, but since i only noticed it because i got the laptop out of my bag and sleeve and it was so hot that i couldn't hold it, i don't know. So basically when i use the shutdown function in the windows start menu it seems like the laptop turns off, the powerlight on the side goes off, the fans turns off++, but later it turns the power and fans to full while the screen stays black. Another wierd thing is that when the laptop is in the state of not completely on but needs a couple more 10+ seconds of powerbutton pressing the motherboard make a whining sound, and when i dont press the down the button, but just "hover" on the fingerprint reader the whining gets louder... One more thing is also that the clock on the pc never syncronises after it turns on again. A workaround I found that worked to get the pc to actually turn off was that when i pressed shutdown in windows and later when it ramped up i held down the power button for 10-12 and it actually shutdown completely. On thursday i tried installing all outstanding updates both to BIOS, but also to windows and drivers. The laptop really struggled since it never actually turns off, even when the update tried forcing it to restart, but it eventually managed to update everything. After the updates I still experienced the same problems tho, so basically just 3-4 hours wasted... Today (saturday) I tried more to use some of the functions off windows "advanced start-up", but since it won't really turn off this worked really badly. I ended up having to use 1+ hour just to turn it on again to be able to write this. TL:DR; So basically to summarize: it sometimes freezes, when it turns off it struggles with turning on again, and it struggles with turning off... + lots off small wierd things happening SPECS: ASUS ROG flow X13 (AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS with the 3050ti, Think the product nr. is GV301QE-K6229T) Has never been overclocked and most often used in "silent"-mode I only use the included charger (basically this laptop has never been "mishandled") Has had the motherboard fail once before (september 2021 i think) and replaced through warranty Windows: Edition Windows 10 Home (64 bit) Version 21H2 Installed on 24.08.2021 OS build 19044.1706 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0 It is probably also worth mentioning that i am using WSL2 with ubuntu on the laptop, but this has worked fine since the install in january.

Hello friends, here I am again. Preparations took a long time, but time for such a thing is never enough. I present to you a scratch build for this year called "GlaSSial", and as you can guess from the title it is based on the Asus Maximus Z690 Extreme GLACIAL motherboard and Intel 1700 processor. Final photos is on the last page!

So I currently have a GTX 1070 Strix version that I'm really happy with. No coil whine, fans that stay off whenever the system idles, looks good. I wanted to get an RTX 3070 TI. The TUF version is 789,99€ right now and the Strix version (it is an oc card) goes for 889,99€. Is this just an oc version and RGB tax I would be paying extra or are ASUS Strix cards actually better?

Hello, I have the ROG centurion 7.1 that come with an audio station apart from the advanced volume control it has two HDMI outputs, one for speakers and one for the headset and I can switch between with a press of a button, the headset that is connected through HDMI isn't working anymore and I couldn't find a replacement, so i purchased the ROG Theta 7.1 and I want to use it with Centurion audio station, the problem is the output from the station is HDMI and the Theta headset's connection is USB, how can I make it work? PS: the audio station connects to the PC through USB Thanks in advance

There's not really a backstory with this one. I was kind of just looking around for something to replace my surface (pro 2017) and when Asus announced this I immediately wanted one. I ended up finding one open box for what I considered a reasonable price... I ended up getting the top end one (i9, 3050Ti, 1TB SSD) from BestBuy for $1700 (Normally $1900). For some reason on Newegg & Ebay they seem to be going for ~$2400 which is a bit ridiculous IMO. There was a shortcircuit video on this so if you want more detailed information about it check there first. Performance: It's very powerful especially for the form factor. The GPU isn't anything to write home about, mine has the 3050 Ti and for the games I play (mainly Minecraft & BeamNG.Drive rn which are both very CPU intensive) it has no issues. The CPU is where it really shines though, scoring near my 10900k in cinebench. I'm super impressed that managed to cram a h series i9 into something this portable and not have it throttle a ton under any sign of load. It can spike up to ~100W for a short time but settles in around 55W while using the original 100W charger (more on this later) Obviously for the price you can get a laptop with an RTX 3070 which would destroy the 3050Ti in this machine but if you want a surface pro like form factor there really isn't anything like it. The closest thing in terms of performance in the ROG Mothership and that is much larger and heavier. Also the Surface Pro 8 with a (low power) i7 and no dedicated graphics/16GB RAM/1TB SSD (same RAM/Storage as my Flow Z13) is ~$125 more than I paid for my Flow Z13 and you don't even get a keyboard... Here's a Firestrike run as well for good measure. Display/Keyboard: To start, mine has the 1200p@120hz panel and that's the one I would recommend. 120Hz smoothness and no scaling is way better than the added resolution and better colour in my opinion. It gets decently bright and it looks quite nice, I'm not really the one to ask about colour accuracy as I don't really care as long as it doesn't look like total ass... But the panel is quite responsive and I haven't had any complaints. (also if you care, Twinkletray works perfectly with it). Now the keyboard, it's good. The typing experience is pretty similar to my Surface Pro 4 keyboard. Even though mine is a US layout, Asus did 'connect' the slash and enter key similar to how the enter key is shaped on other layouts, no idea why but it doesn't really change anything as they are still separate keys. The keyboard isn't per key but it is RGB. I don't really care but it would have been nice to have per key RGB (though I also understand that it's super thin and also not really necessary) Ports: It has 2 USB-C ports (one of which is under the rubber cover and technically part of the XG-Mobile port). The exposed one is thunderbolt 4 compatible and both do 10Gb/s and can be used to charge. It also has a USB 2.0 Type A port which I really wish was 3.0, it's not a huge deal but it would be nice to just be able to plug in a flash drive or my phone and not have to worry about being limited to USB 2.0 speeds. (though again, there is an extra type C port so I could always get a dongle or just a USB-C flash drive/C to C cable for my phone). It also has a 3.5mm jack and SD card reader. The XG-Mobile port is so close to being amazing. It's still cool, especially because you can use it to charge and add extra ports to it however I really think Asus missed a super cool opportunity to make a dock for desktop GPUs that connect via the XG Mobile connector, I feel like even with the limitation of Gen3x8 a desktop 3080 would destroy the mobile 3080 in the current top end XG-Mobile dock thing. Battery: I leave mine with the Optimus disabled and the battery life seems to be ~2 hours while doing normal stuff like browsing the web/watching YouTube and obviously much less when gaming. I'm sure if you re-enabled optimus and turned on power saving you could probably push 3-4 hours maybe more but battery life definitely isn't great. Problems/Inconsistencies: The biggest complaint I have BY FAR is the bullshit arbitrary limitation on their chargers. Apparently this isn't a new thing but Asus is using USB-C PD however they limit non Asus chargers to 65W over USB-C despite the fact that their charger uses the same voltage/amperage as the USB-C PD standard (20V@5A). This is fucking ridiculous in my opinion. If you want full CPU performance (>30W) you NEED the official charger, and on top of that the only place I can find to buy one is asus-accessories.com and it costs $90+shipping which is quite steep for a 100W USB-C PD charger. Also you don't get the ability to use your own cables with the official adapter. To be fair, the gaming performance seems to be similar using a USB-C PD charger and the official one however the laptop will discharge when using one. Another complaint I have is the weird lighting issues I am having, it just feels unfinished. You need to either select a preset pattern or use Aura Creator, but the problem is Aura Creator is not great. But once you have the lighting set up you're not free of my main issues. The window on the back appears to just randomly decide to switch to a different white only light effect when charging. I don't know if this is supposed to indicate it's done? or maybe just indicate it's charging? no idea, but it would be nice if there were options to configure this. Also sometimes the keyboard backlights doesn't come back on when waking the device and the only way I can fix it is detecting the keyboard and re-attaching it. It gets really annoying and I'm hoping I can find a fix for this. Also for some reason Armoury Crate reports the GPU max TGP is 50W. I never see over 35W and even Asus' own site says it's 40W max (and so does Nvidia's system information thing). Conclusion: In conclusion I still really like this machine, it's not for everyone and it definitely has it's problems but for me it's great and I'm hoping to keep it for many years to come. (Also the design is fucking amazing in my opinion, I love Asus ROG's new design style). Feel free to post questions and suggestions below.

I looked up the laptop and found that it helps to change the ram. I got a Crucial dual rank cl22 3200mhz RAM, so same specs as the original, but dual rank. However it is running at 2660mhz. Is there a way I can change it?

My rig ---------------------------- Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor NZXT Kraken X73 73.11 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Asus MAXIMUS IX APEX EATX LGA1151 Motherboard ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Western Digital Blue 250 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive TX-M Series™ TX850M — 850 Watt 80 Plus® Gold Certified PSU Asus ROG strix 1060 6 gb Microsoft Windows 11 Pro OEM 64-bit LG 34UM65 34.0" 2560x1080 60 Hz Monitor ------------------------------------------- So I had the above build working number one for many years now. Now this week I have purchased a ROG RTX 3050 and now the issues have started. So at first I would loose display and the video card fans would speed up like crazy. I would have to reboot to get display once more. After some investigation I noticed the power cable was a bit loose thus I fix that issues by replunging it. Now I will still loose picture and pc looks frozen (mouse wont move before I loose picture) but the fans on the 3050 wont spin like crazy anymore. If I wait about one minute display will come back like nothing happened. 3050 are still hard to find so If I return it I will loose it until store has another one(Canada computers). Thus I'm hesitant to return it or even believe its defective. So this is the steps I took to try to pin point the issue cause: -Reinstall NVidia clean drivers -Uninstall Asus AI suite -Move the switch from performance to quite on the 3050 -Clear CMOS -Reset bios -I had a silly Lian Li 8 Pin GPU Power Strimer - Show Yourself - 30 cm [8+8 pin] so I removed it since i was convinced it would be that https://www.amazon.ca/Lian-Strimer-RGB-PSU-Cable/dp/B07H4V2ZKF/ref=asc_df_B07FCLJYVH/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292954324246&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14599527512424384792&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1002661&hvtargid=pla-560399597413&th=1 -Stopped wallpaper engine (live wallpaper app) - I also have a small 5 inch monitor to display my speeds and temps. Now unplugged And I still having the issue Only thing I could see possible if that my pc is not fully compatible with windows 11 (don't think its that) My power supply is 850w but does not like the new video card(if that is even possible) This same pc was working fine with my 1060 Please help

usb3.2 Do cases have specific USB standard compatibility?
Austroknot posted a topic in Cases and Mods
So I was looking at the ROG Crosshairs VIII Extreme mobo and saw that it supports the newest USB 3.2 Gen 2 2x2 data transfer protocol at 20Gbps. I have previously bought a Lian-Li 011 Dynamic computer chassis (because I’m basic and unoriginal) for this computer build and it has me thinking whether or not my case itself needs to support that, and that it’s not enough that my motherboard has that functionality. If I’m not mistaken, years ago I thought there were cases that support USB 2.0 but not 3.0 so I figured that the case can determine data transfer speeds even if the motherboard supports it but now I’m not sure if that’s a fact or just something I assumed…? Also is it the same for Thunderbolt 4 since this motherboard supports that as well? -
Recently installed NZXT Kraken X63 on my ASUS ROX X570 E mother board and on boot i get CPU fan error message.(AMD Ryzen 3800X) I followed all the internet fixes: 1. Check the fan ports on mother board 2. "Ignore" CPU Fan speed in Bios 3. CMOS reset 4. Remove battery None of it worked, Please help!

Hi all, After 2 and a half years of normal use, my keyboard a Logitech G413 went crasy. Multiple keys starts repeating multiples times. So i start to find a new keyboard replacement. I was very disappointed because i really liked, but i read a lot of negative comments of this keyboard, after 2 years of use it broke. Anyway I´m looking for a GOOD mechanical keyobard with PBT Cherry MX switches (no longer trust in other brands) RGB lighting (i only need them to see the keys not to be fancy) and i will appreciated its durability the Asus ROG Falchion its pretty nice but its expensive and i can not found any comments about its durability, same for the Ducky One 2 actually i´m not fixed to 60% i need it for 3d modeling and i need some advice from you Thanks for sharing

Finally it was time to do some up grading of my system. Before I was running a AMD FX6300 paired with a 4GB RX 480. Prices were down to a reasonable amount on all parts so I pulled the trigger. Yes I know the PC is on the floor close to "dust", but I assure you my place is heavily air purified so dust is very uncommon. Also a robot vacuum cleans around the computer 3 times a day. Everything other then the PC are all budget friendly gear to get me going until I can save up for better stuff. This has been about almost a year long project and there is still more I'd like to do! Let me know what you like about it and what you don't! What would you change if you could? Hello everyone, last month I build my first PC and started with 32 GB of Trident Z Neo 3600 CL16-16-16-36 memory (https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562839473/F4-3600C16D-32GTZN-Overview). Last week I got myself a second kit, but couldn’t get it running at 3600 MT/s). Now I am looking into buying a complete 64 GB Kit and for my mainboard. ASUS does list compatibility for a few Trident Z Neo 4*16 GB kits (https://rog.asus.com/de/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x570-e-gaming-wifi-ii-model/helpdesk_qvl_memory) with the fastest one being this: https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562840280/F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNCTrident-Z-NeoDDR4-3600MHz-CL16-19-19-39-1.35V64GB-(4x16GB) This kit does have 16-19-19-39 timings. But G.Skill does have a 4*16 GB CL16-16-16-36 kit (https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562839857/F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN) that they claim works with the Strix X570-E Gaming (ASUS even says themselves that it dies work with the X570-E and Matisse CPUs: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX_X570-E_GAMING/AMD_Matisse_for_ROG_STRIX_X570-E_GAMING_DRAM_QVL_20190912.pdf (page 33)). Does anyone on you use this particular 64GB CL16-16-16-36 kit successfully with an ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II? And why should it work with the normal X570-E but not with the passively cooled X570-E Gaming WiFi II? Tl;dr: ASUS says a 64 GB G.Skill 64 GB CL16-16-16-36 kit (https://www.gskill.com/product/165/326/1562839857/F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN) is not compatible with the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II. But G.Skill says it works with the Strix X570-E Gaming. Can you say if it will work or are you even using this kit successfully? Thanks a lot to everyone for your help!

I'm switching from a Radeon 6900 XT Sapphire Nitro+ OC to a GeForce RTX 3080 ASUS ROG Strix. My motherboard is the ASUS ROG Hero VIII. I was able to control the RGB of my Sapphire card via Armory Crate. The Sapphire card had a RGB header built-in. The Strix card doesn't appear to have one. I am trying to plan my cable management. My question is, how will the Strix card's RGB be controlled? Are the RGB signals transferred through the PCIE slot instead of being plugged into an RGB header on the motherboard?
