Hello, so my problem started a few months ago when I tried to play Battlefield 4 on my laptop, which is an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 with a Ryzen 7 5800 HS, and an RTX 3050, and 16 GB RAM. So the problem seemed to be, that my laptop is capped at 60 FPS, but my GPU was hardly utilized, and I tried a few things to fix this, but with zero progress. This issue came back today, when I tried to play Borderlands 3, and even if the framerate was uncapped, it seemed like the laptop is hardcapped itself to 40 FPS. I checked Armoury crate for some help, I tried adjusting some stuff on Geforce experience, and even on the Nvidia control panel, but nothing I did changed anything. If someone experienced the same issues, and has some kind of explanation, or solution, it would be awesome. Thanks In advance :)

Hello everyone, since September, my G713 (R9-5900hx+3070) keeps freezing on battery power. The freeze is my whole laptop's screen is frozen, audio stops playing, cursor stops moving. Only fix is to hard reset via holding power button. As a student, this is not a very reliable method as I do need to use my laptop on a daily on battery power. Using it on battery is one of the reasons I bought the Strix with AMD as I can get easily 6-8 hours of use on a single full charge. For some reason, it only occurs when it is on battery power. I suspect it might be ArmouryCrate from Asus that is causing this issue. It also seems to happen more frequently when the CPU is on very light load. Does anyone have any suggestion or anyone that is familiar with this problem? I did check my Event Viewer and Reliability Monitor, but both does not give me any information regarding the time of the freezes. The only error message I received was "Windows shutdown unexpectedly." - caused by manual hard reset via holding down the power button.

So for the past few years I had been re-using this old Corsair 550W PSU which although was working fine, was very loud and easily the loudest part of my system. I got the ROG Strix 750W on sale for a good deal and was wondering if there was any reason to not use the 0dB mode button that the power supply has? In the other PCs I've built for other people, the Corsair PSUs they used didn't have any extra button like mine and were automatic. From my understanding the fan should turn on if necessary, but if that's the case what was the point in offering a button to turn it on or off manually? Does running it in 0dB damage the PSU more than with it on? If so, would leaving it on all the time increase the lifespan past automatic 0dB PSUs?

Asus Rog Strix x670 green boot light. Just recently finished this build and I keep getting this green light. When it gets to this point, on my display I see the ROG logo and the prompt to press del to go to BIOS but pressing del does nothing. I’ve tried: * reseating the GPU. * reseating the CPU * reseating my m.2s * using one m.2 at a time * using no m.2s * reseating the ram * using one stick at a time * making sure all cable connections are secure * resetting the CMOS * removing the cmos for 30 seconds Literally nothing I’ve tried has worked. I can’t figure it out. I spent about $3600 on this build and it has me pretty upset. Below are the specs: * Case: Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB ATX Mid Tower Case * CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5 GHz 16-Core Processor * Cooler: Corsair iCue H150 Elite LCD * Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI ATX AM5 * GPU: NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB * Memory: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 * Storage: WD Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe NVME Solid State Drive (x2) * PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P5 1000W Fully Modular 80+ Platinum

I tried updating drivers, rolling back to older drivers and I can't seem to know what is happening. I'm using a DP that came with the monitor, and it only seemed to happen while using windows never while gaming. It occurs once a day, can't seem to know what it is, and is making me worry. P.S: Didn't try changing Displayport cable and I recently changed my extension cord that I use for powering the computer and monitor, can that cause issues like this?

As the title says, my monitor ROG Strix XG27AQ) has a very slightly loose casing on a section of the casing, and when I press, even lightly, near the section it always creaks, be it on the edge of the bottom bezel, the bottom part of the casing or on the back side of the panel (all them which are near the section). No other part of the monitor behaves like that. The other sections of the monitor creak like all monitors but only when swiveling or tilting and not the part where it is pressed. Can it cause problems down the line, especially while swiveling and pivoting? This a heavy monitor, that’s why I ask. Like an even loose casing or a crack? I know I’m being OCD, and maybe this is within manufacturing tolerances but still, it makes me a bit uneasy.

I bought an ROG XG27AQ a month ago and it came with these scratches. Never cleaned it, and yesterday I finally did, but with an air can and a damp clean cloth, so no way it was my doing. How common is it for new monitors to come like this out of the box? Is it something worth worrying about it or worth returning it? It is only noticeable when shining a light or on bright sunlight and the lcd inside seems perfect with no damage whatsoever (no dead pixels, clouding or discoloration) Here are some photos: There are some dots aside from the scratch, but those are dust particles. without a flashlight and without any other light shining in front it is not noticeable. And even less noticeable with the screen on I’m kinda OCD about new stuff, and between this and previous experiences with past monitors (2 came with dead pixels and one even came dead pixels + debris inside) buying new monitors (and of course exchanging the faulty ones for acceptable ones makes me crazy.

I was cleaning a stain in my 27 inch 1440p ROG monitor when stupid me decided to clean the stain with water and a soaked q-tip. When I cleaned it the water, obviously, it dripped on the side I was cleaning and a small amount of water seems to have gotten into the crevice of the monitor casing. I say it seems because when I observed the crevice there where some small droplets of water in there. In order to clean them I used a sheet of paper to get into the crevice, but I'm not sure if that was a good idea and maybe the paper transfered some small amount of water to other parts on the inside. After all that, now I'm paranoid about possible water damage that may have entered the monitor and damaged something. Everything seems perfect, no display anomalies, the buttons work fine, the powered on and standby led works, and the ROG logo rgb works. I've been using it the for the whole day and the situation occurred yesterday. Is it probable is that some kind of corrosion happened? I know I shouldn't worry too much, especially since it works fine, but I would like to hear opinions, which helps to calm my ocd

Hi, I recently bought a brand new Asus ROG PG279QM monitor and immediatelly noticed the white uniformity was a bit off around the edges and corners. How bad do you think this particular case is? I only owned an Acer XB271HU for the past 5+ years, so I don't have a lot of experience with other displays, but that one had no such issue. Would there be any point in returning this unit and hoping for a better one, or is this this still kind of normal? Otherwise it's a really great display, but this keeps bothering me. During games it's unnoticable, but I can't not see it during text editing or coding for example.
-
When using the display I notice uniformity problems with whites, especially in the middle (clouding) and right side (slight reddish tint in whites), it is even more noticeable when using Windows Night Light or any similar software. How normal is this for an IPS panel? Previous monitors from other brands and models had dead pixels and this one finally doesn't have any, so I plan to keep this one. Here are some photos. Hello y'all! Due to a damaged DIMM slot, I'm looking at having to replace my ASUS ROG X570-I. Ideally, I'd like to just get another one, as I really like the board, but it has one glaring issue that is making it extremely difficult for me to justify the cost. The RGB. I hate RGB, can't stand it, loath it with every fiber of my being. I went out of my way to ensure every part of my build was completely devoid of it; I even went as far as to rip out the cables for the power LED. Every part of the build is blacked out except the motherboard, because every ITX X570 board I could find that had the features I needed came with RBG, so I bit the bullet and bought the board hoping I wouldn't be bothered too much by it. I was. I hate it so much. I know I can disable it in BIOS (and I have) but it turns itself back on constantly and genuinely makes me want to destroy my PC. Every time I'm trying to sleep and I glance over at the glowing rainbow glitter bomb, it fills me with an unimaginable rage that makes me worried I may end up on the next news cycle for various crimes against humanity. However, now that I need a new one, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I may end up with two of them. That means I can root around in the old one, pulling cables and crushing bulbs without worrying about damaging it. I just don't know where to start. Any advice?

As mentioned above and shown below, anytime there is white text or objects on a dark grey or black background the red sub-pixels on the left side of the text/object are turned on and produces an abhorred red tinge that really makes reading on this monitor a very unpleasant thing to do. I haven't noticed it in game so it's not a deal breaker for this monitor, but it does annoy the hell out of me when reading smaller text. It's almost like looking at red-cyan 3D content but there is no cyan, just the correct image and the red to the left side. Does anyone else experience this on their monitor(s) and is there a way to alleviate it to some degree, if not completely? (Blue/green tinge in first picture is just an artifact of my camera and is not visible to my eyes)

So basically I've been looking online for a new gpu and my price range is max $1200 AUD but i want to save money where ever I can. I've done my research and come to the conclusion that the gpu I want to buy is the ROG STRIX gpu but I'm not sure if I should get the 3070 or the 3070 ti, the pricing is $900 AUD for the 3070 and $1100 for the 3070 ti. So is the performance really worth the extra $200 or should i save my money and just get the the 3070? Please I need help!

Hey guys. I recently bought a 2022 zephrous g14 and ran into a problem When I click on the edge of the key caps, I can feel the tactile feedback but the system will not registure my input. This is a huge problem since i need to use this laptop at school and this is making typing on this computer a pain in the butt. Does anyone has the same issue or it's just a QC problem. 156A86167F053D371A328CD07309A8B5.mp4

Hello, I have a 2021 ASUS ROG ZEPHRUS G15 GA503Q (3070 model, Ryzen 9 5900HS Grey 16GB ram.) My Fans will randomly go to MAX rpm with no reason. There will be nothing going on in the background, Armory crate will report low temps for CPU and GPU (40C or lower, it doesnt matter how low) the fans will go full bore no matter what. No heavy tasks in task manager, nothing. Just sitting here. ( the only thing I have found Is ASUS' My ASUS software will report the actual temp (Below 40C) and then spike to like 112-115C for a few seconds, then show like 38C. It will just keep going back and forth in MyASUS. Armory Crate (AC) will just report the seemingly correct low temp. I have been told they had some QC issues with this laptop when it first came out. (LTT did a video saying this may be the best gaming laptop of that year) I have one, and it has the fan issue, My friend who reccomended me the laptop said he had to return his first one for issues. My dad has one for his work computer at my recomendation that does not have this issue. but he recently got one for his home office (one at work one at home) because he likes it so much and the home office one has the same fan issue as mine, probably worse. the only way I can get it to stop is a power off and back on, sometimes it will start right away again, sometimes that will fix it. I have tried mulitple fresh windows 10 installs, uninstalling the MyASUS program, fresh install of Armory Crate, etc. It doesnt matter what AC power setting I am on is (silent, preformance, turbo, etc.) or if im plugged in or on Batt. Has anyone had this issue and found a fix? or do we need to start the RMA process on the 2 computers with the issue ? Thank you in advance. -Bourdaga

I have a fairly good PC and it's brand new. these are the specs if needed: RTX3090Ti - Core i9-12900k - 64GB of GSKILL ddr5 ram - ROG z690 Hero - running windows 11 and I have a serious BSOD problem and I am suspicious of few thing. 1: ASUS's RGB software this the list of apps that I'm suspicious of: https://i.postimg.cc/BnPTRgCh/sus-software.png the only RGB software that I installed was: 'armoury crate', but I thought it was responsible for the BSODs so I uninstalled the photo above is what has remained after I uninstalled it. please consider telling me which apps are potential BSOD causers. 2: driver related issues I can not find clear evidence that directly supports that drivers are responsible, but I am a little bit concerned about: Windows memory integrity turning off, but not giving a reason. additional information: I used 'Windows Security and Maintenance > Problem Details' to get an idea of what goes wrong: First: https://i.postimg.cc/rmTFqV2d/image.png and less than one second later: https://i.postimg.cc/wB7b3LHZ/image.png and lastly wanted to say that: 90% of the BSODs happen while playing games (particularly at full screen) and some times the moment I log into windows. I am good at tech but this is far to complicated please help me. update: I fully uninstalled all of the programs in the first picture, I am not sure if it's fixed, but when I'm trying to install a new RGB software (SignalRGB) windows just freezes and restarts, and doesn't install anything. the freezing happens when the software is trying to scan.

Hello there! I’ve just upgrade to a Rog strix 3080, in a 4000x Corsair case, aorus z590 elite mb, as you see in the picture the rgb strip just above the fans doesn’t look straight almost tilt on the left. Any idea why? Works perfectly doesn’t overheat and has only the coil whining noise when you launch a game then disappear. Should I be worry?

Hello Everyone So im building my new pc and I went out and bought a deepcool dq850-m-v2l power supply to power my system. But then i looked at the included cables and wondered if this psu can go with my gpu.. I have an asus rog strix 3080 12gb oc edition. Does the psu have the 8 pins connectors for it? So I did an upgrade of my GPU. Upgraded from a ASUS GeForce 3060 12GB ROG OC to ASUS GeForce 3080 12GB TUF OC. And that..... was an upgrade. I don't miss the RGB strip or the fan headers from the ROG card, as I didn't use it. The price of GPU in Norway is not cheap, prices in USA is cheaper. That said, I think I did a smart choise. Prices is translated to USD. I had a giftcard at the shop with 400$ in value, that had to be used at that specific shop. The 3080 was at sale for 980$ (before sale it cost around 1200$). After I bought the 3080 I was hoping to sell the 3060 for 400$ (new price for that card is 679$). Someone offered me 400$ for the 3060 and I sold it right away. Then I had to spend 180$ from my own wallet for a 3080 12.gb card. Can't complain about that =D

I’m having trouble getting my new build to boot or post. When I plug in the PC the LED’s on the motherboard come on but nothing else. I have stripped the pc back to, motherboard, cpu, ram and PSU. I tried swapping in a spare PSU and even though I only had one of the 2 CPU 8-pins connected it seemed to come to life. Baring in mind the PSU is brand new, can the PSU still power the LED’s on the motherboard and be faulty at the same time? mobo - ROG Maximus IX Apex PSU - ROG Strix 650w 80 plus gold CPU - core i5 7600k RAM - Corsair vengeance RGB pro 3600MHz thanks in advance for any help or advice!!
