Hey I am new to PC building and I am going to build my first rig at the end of the week. I have my CPU mobo case and PSU and am waiting on RAM SSD and GPU. Could I power up my case fans without any of the other components in the case? For one I want to show them to my little brother (who would think they look really cool) and 2 I want to make sure I have the right airflow in the case. Will this screw anything up? Thanks in advance!

So I have had my Razar ARGB Controller for a few weeks now but still cant keep the connectors from the fans in place, they seem to be loose I've tried my EK 360 AIO fans, which you'd expect to be good quality, aswell as some off ali-express that were not the cheapest they offered but still having the same issue they can be fine one day but any knock and I have to mess around with them for half our or so and give up I've seem a "shim kit" on etsy that is pictured below but can find any sellers elsewhere based in the UK, them below are £16 just for delivery of a few grams of plastic from USA that jams the cables in. Anyone got any ideas apart from shuving paper in the connectors?

Has anybody been able to find a three-pin 5 volt to 4 pin 12 volt adapter to connect build redux fan control hub to ASUS Aura RGB header. And is build redacts the only people who sell the cooler master fans with the three pin LED proprietary plug fans. Or can you buy those fans somewhere else to plug into the hub that they use.

I have a corsair hydro x loop for my cpu controlled by my commander pro and I would like to add my gpu to the loop, I have a Asus dual 3070 which has a waterblock available for it from alphacool. I have all the functional aspects of it sorted out but I need help with the rgb situation. I would like to control the rgb lights on the gpu block with my commander pro. I know that I can get an adapter to connect the gpu leds to the second open lighting channel on the commander pro but does anyone know if I can somehow tie the gpu rgb into the same channel as my pump and res? Also I think alphacool uses a non standard rgb connector but I can't find much info about it. I've looked at the adapters from piratedog tech on ebay but can't figure out exactly what adapters I need if I want to tie all the rgb leds into a single channel in icue. Any advice would be appreciated! Please enjoy this poorly drawn diagram of my current rgb setup.

EU has forced apple to use USB C in iphone. But power supply in PCs have bad convention when comes to modular cables layout. It's a burn your house with whole family on it situation. 1 EU should mandate, okay maybe not mandate, at least standardize PSU cables. This is also directly connected to energy and climate change, rather than iphone's connection to sustainability. Intel and others are trying to standardize both atx and sfx and maybe even flex PSU. But their standardization has issues. They don't mandate a modular layout. Intel is actually trying to create different motherboard power port, 10 to 16 pin rather than 20. The whole thing is getting convoluted. Nvidia is trying a different power port 10pin for gpu? This whole thing is getting so convoluted in 5 years it's gonna be impossible to untangle this mess. within next 5 years Intel and AMD mobo and Nvidia and AMD cards will have totally different layouts and you will need more adapters inside your PC than an iphone sheeple. 2 RGB hardwares require different softwares. That is more of a problem regarding privacy and monopoly rather than direct climate change, but EU can intervene claiming sustainability issue with rgb. EU already demanding that apple release iMessage to android because they think iMessage is a monopoly. So why not pass a law to have all RGB lighting/ keyboard mouse maker to support one open source standard, without screwing up 5v or 12v hardwares. Also, no more stupid old molex for fans and RGB please. We need modern sata power or those tiny little argb ports. I bet Taran van Hemert gonna like it. One software to run all RGB XD. 3 We need to legislate game store software api too. This is not really a climate change or power shortage issue but Linus was talking the other day about EU legislating interoperability for the better of the people. Different game stores like xbox-pc, epic, steam has different softwares. We need to mandate an API that all softwares gotta support... so one game client in pc to download and buy all the games. Right now there are already several unified game clients. But the issue is in most of those unified launchers you can't install game and you can't buy games from stores. 4 Hopefully one day we will have one software to control settings of all mouse and keyboard. Although that is gonna be difficult because different mouse have different architecture. 5 I am a Linus tech tips fan. So why not also standardize power outlets. It's difficult to standardize it now in 2022 So maybe just demand Airbnb and other hotel or housing apps that they have to show labels saying this room has universal power sockets. 6 While we are at it, USB forums have their issues too. Before they name USB 4.0 supersonic hedgehog speed ³√(2*2) we need to interfere. USB cable companies and laptop device makers are not clear about their capabilities. Can a cable show display via USB C. Can a USBc port charge the device. Can a port or cable reverse charge, charge your phone via lappy? USB 4 gonna make it worse, because even though it will be fast not all laptop gonna be able to do external GPU using it. Maybe pass a law, that device manufacturer have to be totally clear about their ports. or Linus can videos like make sheet manufacturers don't say about their ports.

Ive had this system for a few years now, all of a sudden the RGB is acting a little funky. In attached photo the colour has been set to pure white. The fans on the rad, GPU and cooler seem to be fine. The top and rear fans have a greenish tint to them. Also the same is happening with the ram earlier the DIMM's in slot 1 and 3 had a greenish tint and without changing anything it switched to 1 and 4 having the colour mismatch. Fans are connected to a single ARGB header with a 1 to 3 splitter, the front rad fans are connected to the default controller that came with the case which is also connected to the splitter.

Hi, I've recently built a PC for the first time and bought an OCPC RTX 3060 DUAL for a good price. However when everything is running, the gpu's fans are stuck on a single, orange rgb colour. I have scoured the internet for applications and software that can help me customise the colour (aura creator, NZXT, Thundermaster, etc...) but none are compatible. It doesn't seem like OCPC have any software for this. It is kind of irking me that I can't change the colours... has anyone ran into this problem or has a solution?

Building a new ITX build around a white Hyte Revolt 3 case and the peculiar motherboard orientation of the case means that the GPU directly faces one of the side panels. It fits a full size GPU, no half-height cards or one-fan ITX models necessary. As such, I would like to use a proper GPU with prominent RGB lighting if at all possible. Not just any RGB, but RGB that can be controlled via software or the header on the MB. 12V or 5V is fine, but the brighter the better. This will be a secondary travel build, mostly for use at FGC locals, so I don't need the latest and greatest GPU. I'll mostly be running Tekken, Dead or Alive, Street Fighter, King of Fighters, etc. The problem is that most of the AIB partners only seem to put RGB on their most expensive cards. What's the cheapest card that still has obnoxious RGB? Full RGB fans would be ideal, but I'm trying to stay under $450 USD for the GPU. USA prices/stores only please. For example: The Sapphire 5700 XT Nitro+ SE has full lighting on the fans, but those are only available used for ~$450. The Gigabyte 6750 XT Aorus has RGB as well but is retailing for $580 But is there something I've overlooked? I have a preference for AMD cards but I'm willing to consider all deals. I just need something semi-recent and with as much RGB as possible. If this is a bust and I really can't find anything cool, I'll just buy an RX 6600 since those have appeared for under $300 at BestBuy, and maybe affix an RGB strips to the shroud. Thanks in advance

I was looking to build my first PC. I'm quite sure I'm am going to buy a Phanteks P400A but I also want to mount an AIO in the front, but then I would have to rearrange the front fans right? If I could then I would want the 3 front fans rearranged in rear exhaust and top exhaust configuration.

I haven't found any way to connect my case fans and my power supply rgb to my motherboard, I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a hub or any other way of connecting them to my motherboard. Im tired of having my rgb ram sticks and cpu cooler matching color patterns while my power supply and fans are stuck on rainbow or one solid color. I bought the Antec DF700 Flux 2 years ago together with the ROG b450-f. Back then I couldn't fix the RGB fans so I am trying to do it now. The problem has come down to the fact that my Argb cables can go into the fan hub (from the DF700 flux), but I don't know how to connect the fan hub to my 4-pin RGB header in my motherboard.

Hi everyone, Problem + Brief Description I've recently finished building my new rig, but I'm having trouble finding the right header on the motherboard to enable the RGB feature of the 3 case fans. I connected them to the CHA_FAN header, and they are running just fine. The mobo I'm using is the ROG Strix B-450F, and the PC case of choice is the Corsair 220T RGB case. What I have tried 1. I have attempted to connect the cables stemming from the RGB header/controller on the back of the case to the RGB header on the motherboard. The problem with this is that there are three 3-pin female cables (1 for each fan), but only 4 pins total with the RGB header on the motherboard. 2. Tried using a "W-splitter" cable to connect all three cables to the RGB header, but when the PC is turned on, a periodic beeping sound is produced, and there is no RGB to be found. Please note, I've written this in slight frustration, so I apologise if there is any crucial information missing. I will, however, be open to any questions. Thanks guys

I am planning to buy 6 cooler master MF120 prismatic fans for my pc but I don't have any argb headers in my motherboard so I plan on buying an rgb controller for it. Would I be able to address the individual LEDs of the MF120 prismatic fan with a razer chroma rgb controller?

Hello everoyne, So I am working on my first PC build. I bought a lot of parts off of other people and also made sure that all the parts were compatible. Though it wasn't a priority, I did end up with a lot of components that had RGB on them. I have a MSI Gungnir 100 case and a MSI tomahawk b450 max. The case has a RGB controller attached to it but it is ARGB technology which requires a JRAINBOW plug. My mobo only has JRGB only. Is there any way i can work around it so i can control my case RGB through the MSI application or am I just stuck with the preset RGB configuration on the case? Thanks!

I am currently planning on connecting an argb strip to my pc but upon checking, my motherboard didn't have the 5V 3 pin port that I need. Can I use an RGB controller for this despite my motherboard not having a port for argb? I would also like to ask for suggestions for rgb controllers if I could use them. For reference, my motherboard is a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max.

Hello everyone i need help to turn off RGB light on my mouse and my motherboard while shutdown. I've tried YT tutor how to turn it off by searching "deep sleep" option in BIOS but i cannot find it anywhere, so if I need to turn off the RGB light I need to switch off the PSU If the RGB light can be turned off in sleep mode too, it would be more appreciated Thanks,

Hi all, The full size Torrent case seemingly is only available to order with RGB in black, why on earth is this? It seems like it's a choice of the colour you want, or RGB, but not both. I cannot see the logic in shipping one colour of the case in RGB fans installed, and not others? Are they likely to release it down the line in grey/white with the RGB fans, or should I just look at other options? Thanks, Kagan

Good Day, I purchased and installed a different CPU fan in my NAS to replace the borked Intel fan. The fan comes with an RGB header; however, the motherboard is an old z87 board that came before the times of fervent RGB. Is there any sort of adapter or card I can purchase with the appropriate RGB header on it that I may install? I don’t need RGB in my NAS box, but it would make a better indicator that it’s on and running than the single dim LED beside the power button.

If you have a TUF Gaming keyboard and a ROG mouse, is it the same software with a different skin, or will you need to have two separate softwares running? They have different naming and skin on the products page.

hello, I recently got a new motherboard, an ASUS Prime A320M-K and I am thinking of upgrading my cooler to an all in one water cooler for my CPU, I am also wanting to add in fans to improve airflow for my GPU, I don't however have any more fan headers, and for the heck of it I figured I might as well add in rgb if I get a fan hub, are there any fan/argb hubs I can plug into one of the internal usb 2.0 9 pin headers? preferably one that I can use with Aura Sync. thank you, Gandini
