Hey guys, so I have an ASUS P43E and after about 45-60 seconds of it being on, it just goes into sleep mode. I know it doesn't shut off because when you hit the power button it goes back to where it was left off. I went to all of the power and sleep setting and made sure it was all set to 'never'. Any idea what it could be? Thanks!

SO check my original post here i thought it was broken cause it started randomly when my pc never been moved in a week , but right now as i write this it is not flickering anymore, what i did : 1) at first i swapped out the drive with an older system image, which didnt help 2) i cleaned my entire system, plugged ports in and out, dusted and such to make sure connections to display werent bad and it still persisted but less often, rather than be a continuous flicker it would stop one two time and continue again until it just stopped permanently so my question is , any of you know what happened here , or was it just a lose or dust / oxidation of a connection and its all good now or my display it self is probably going bad ?

My pc, as told in the title, freezes at random moment's in a state that even the light of the hhd shuts off and gaps/num lights too, the screen is frozen in the last image and the pc runs normally. I checked the web for solutions and similar problems and i applied but nothing, i formatted both hdd's and tried them seperated but still it frozes. 2 month's ago i checked with memtest for 16 hours just in case and everything went ok also the graphics card is 1 year old. I friend told me that psu might be the problem if not the ram. Any ideas/suggestions someone? Please help.

For almost the past year my gaming pc will just freeze randomly with a horrible buzzing or static noise in my headphone. Basically I will being doing stuff from playing Gta 5, to even just writing an email (With nothing else open in the background) and the whole computer will freeze up and does not recover. I have windows 10 (Up to date) and one time when i was playing gta 5 and the Blue screen did end up happening , but that was the only time it has happened and it also had the buzzing sound as well. What is the problem? Is it hardware or is it software or anything else? This has been going on for far too long and i need a solution because it's getting in the way of my work. 20161023_162008_1.mp4

So I thought about this idea and I want to know if there is an app for it (idealy on iOS) that, in a very similar way to StumbleUpon, just randomly goes through the articles on the Wikipedia:Unusual Articles. Alternativly is there a way you can set up another app, e.g. FlipBoard/Stumble Upon, that would do this operation? Cheers Xvantok

So yesterday I was looking at reviews for a case (I don't remember which one) and I saw someone legitimately ask if they could put a 15 6600 in there... A 15!??? Just thought it was funny lol -
i know how to make any xbox or into a portable laptop first you have to attach hinges to the xbox and attach hinges to the monitor making a screen and to power it all you need to do is bolt a car battery to the bottom of it and its ready to go as a portable gaming laptop! the picture is a real and is what you could make

Ever since last now after I purchased and downloaded H1Z1 I played for a good 5 hours before my computer random rebooted. It came back on SUPER slow took maybe 10 - 15 minutes to become useable as everything too a really long time to load up properly. I thought maybe it was some kind of update that force rebooted and kept playing, maybe a hour later it happened again, and again, and again... Each time I tried to check Bluescreenview, Whocrashed, Eventviewer, etc but nothing seemed to be wrong in those locations. i play similar high caliber games like Rust for up to 8 hours a day a few days out of the week without any issue. I ran Prime95, FurMark, and OCCT to check my cpu and gpu and they both did fine. I'm thinking it could possibly be corrupted hardrive or H1Z1 itself but just a couple of hours ago while I was away from PC it rebooted again with the following errors: Error Eventlog Error Kernel-Processor-Power (Event 35) Error Kernel-Processor-Power (Event 35) Error Kernel-Processor-Power (Event 35) Error Kernel-Processor-Power (Event 35) Error DistributedCOM Error DistributedCOM Error DistributedCOM Any ideas? i can provide as much info as possible. Hello I recently bought the Inspiron 15 1700. I put in an extra 8gb of ram, and a 2tb hard drive Yesterday, I installed the new nvidia drivers (388.13) and whenever I put my computer to sleep, and woke it up again there would be a random assortment of pixels, and a pixellated block that was my mouse If that doesn't make sense, here is a video, and a picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/93zcv6widicsdkj/IMG_20171101_144421.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ybt34552rhnn6h1/VID_20171101_144448.mp4?dl=0 The computer seems fine - I can log in and even restart/sleep/shutdown my computer with some mouse guess work Putting it to sleep and waking it up again does not help either The computer has never done this before. So I tried downgrading to 388.00, and got the same results. I just tried 387.92 and same results. I am not sure what driver I was on before I upgraded Any suggestions? Edit: I fixed it. Contacted Dell support, and updated my bios. That has seemed to have fixed all my problems

So over the years I have had laptop seemingly randomly wake from sleep with no obvious reason. What made the occurrence stranger is that this is usually when the lid is closed and windows is set to sleep with the lid shut. Also after waking it would then refuse to stay asleep if put to sleep again. So after being puzzled for years blaming the occurrence on things like a wireless mouse being clicked or the keyboard being pressed in by the screen I believe I have finally found the reason. As it turns out when in sleep mode if the battery gets too low the machine will power back on! After testing this on an Alienware 17 R4, an old HP g6 and friends Razor I can confirm they all do this. Now I can sort of understand why but also find it damn confusing. If it were logical, it would turn back on to then go immediately into hibernation (which uses almost no power) as opposed to stand by (which uses quite a bit in comparison). However this does not happen, the machine simply turns on and bakes in my bag or chueches along on the desk until it gets a critically low battery and then sometimes hibernates and sometimes hard shuts off. It could potentially stay in stand by for several more hours if it did not power back on then sit there for 40minutes until critically low battery. However, upon thought, I realized as the battery gets older the time/percent charger will reduce. With modern SSD's standby is almost not necessary with resume from hibernation taking 15s as opposed to 60s + with a HDD however going into hibernate is pretty slow. So my solution is to make the power button hibernate and lid close standby, that way when the machine powers on randomly I can force hibernate immediately and potentially have 40 or more minutes use if needed as compared to it refusing to turn back on until AC is connected. hell this would make for an interesting video LTT.

Hello there. My strange random boot problem stars with a normal BIOS loading and posting, and when it begins to load windows; Neither of my two screens (HDMI (primary) & DVI-D) recieves any input. A quick hard reset fixes this issue. It has so far never occured more than twice in a row. - I always do a complete shutdown. System is 2 months old at most by the time of writing. At first I though it was the video card which was faulty, as I had an other issue, which caused lots of red horizontal one pixel one frame lines to appear. They increased with more information which was being outputted, but after I swapped my HDMI cable, haven't I seen them since, poiting it was possibly my cable who was faulty. Something however game me the feeling it was NOT the videocard which was faulty, as my keyboard who got built in sleep mode, and it did not respond to it. Two days ago while my computer was off did I bump into a bottle, which hit my keyboard, and the keyboard light it's light up, as it was woken up from sleep / idle mode. I powered on my computer, and neither of my screens recieved any input after BIOS posting. I don't know if this is relevant, but when checing my CPU usage, does task manager says my computer has been powered for days, even though I do a full shutdown every night. Aside from my screens not recieving any input, have I not detected any other issues, but I fear it may get worse, and would like to get it fixed. My specs are: Case: Fractial Design Define R5 Black Storage: 1 500GB Samsung 960 EVO SSD + 1 4TB (old) HDD CPU: Intel i7 7700k (not OCd) GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Armor OC CPU cooler: Corsair hydro series H100i V2 MB: Asus prime Z270-A S-1151 ATX PSU: Corsair CS650M 650W 80 gold + RAM: Corsair Vengance LPX 16 (8x2) OS: win 10 64 bit (does there exist win 10 32 bit?) https://puu.sh/vSG6M/25689d2d86.png DxDiag attached. Hey guys, So my situation has now worsened. I had a grainy screen issue on sleep, which is now gone, but now my laptop restarts randomly without any warning. When i am doing menial tasks like web browsing or listening to music the laptop restarts show me the BSoD that it has run into an error. As per online advice; I have performed a memory check, I have disabled the automatically restart option from the view advanced settings menu, I have reset my computer and installed only the graphics card driver again. I have checked the uninstall updates option but shows me only the updates installed after the reset. But alas, the issue has come up again. Just now while watching a video in chrome, the screen suddenly went black and it restarted. What should i do? Please reply quickly. Thanks for when and if you do reply. Regards Steve

So Here is the problem sometimes completely random the pc Freezes the display shows the image of what you were doing but all frozen you can not do All+Ctr+Del , Alt+f4 also no restart from manual button the only thing i can do is hold down the power button to shut down the computer or turn it off from the psu . After this happening some times the pc will fail to start from the OS ssd so other it starts and some others it doesnt find windows and i have to Install windows again . Additional Questions :1) Is the PSU bad ? 2) Is the SSD bad or do the windows get erased from shut-start repeatedly or due to another cause for example malufactionign cpu ? 3) Is the CPU bad ? 4) Is the MOTHERBOARD Bad ? I'm also running a memtest right now ! Also you can see from the images the following problems : Cpu led red , psu 2x4 pin connections plastic melted . My PC keeps spontaneously turning itself on during the day at completely random times. I'll shut it down at night before I go to sleep, and it's still off when I wake up (as it should be), but some days when I come home from work for example, I find the machine has turned on for some unknown reason at some unknown time in the day, and is just sitting idly at my lock screen. It never seems to do it overnight, only during the day. I have absolutely no explanation for it, but it obviously shouldn't be doing it and I'd rather it not. For the time being I'm just turning it off at the wall whenever I leave the house for the day, but does anyone have any kind of explanation as to why it might be doing this? Is there some setting somewhere that might be 'waking' the machine in response to a certain thing happening, even though it's not sleeping and has been fully shut down? If anyone has any explanations for this seemingly harmless but really curious problem, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I thought I solved this problem, but it's happening again. My Microsoft Surface Pro (5) i7 keeps randomly shutting down, it's like it's going into a hibernate mode, because when I turn it back on, everything just resumes. But it shows the boot logo and everything as if I just turned it on.

Hello guys. I wanted to bring up an issue I recently had, and how I figured out how to fix it. So for the longest time I had issues in Windows 10, and sometimes even Windows 7 where I would be watching a video on Youtube, netflix, in chrome, IE, VLC, listening to music in Spotify, or in Windows Media Player, and all of a sudden it wouldn't work., It might be one or two weeks between occurrences but it always fixed with a reboot. Whenever I went to play a video it would seem to just show me one frame, and not progress beyond that. No sound, nothing. In that time I had done an in place upgrade to Windows 10. And after enough time fighting with Windows due to the in place upgrade service having it's own pitfalls I did a fresh image of Windows 10 from Microsofts website. I always made sure all applicable drivers are installed, and my system / programs are up to date. And each time it came to renew my free trial of Windows I did slmgr /rearm until I bought my license key. Additionally since my motherboard died I purchased a motherboard from ASUS to replace it. The one commonality was my external soundcard. So in the decision to finally nail down what the issue was I went to task manager and started killing, and re-enabling processes and testing / reopening applications each time. I found one process that seems to have caused it: audiodg.exe Kill that process in task manager, disconnect your audio device (either from windows, or unplug the USB cable, and plug it back in like I did after killing the process tree) That fixed the issue for me. Just wanted to have it on the internet since I didn't run into a single thing that helped me, so hope this helps future plebs not to have to spend time troubleshooting.

Hi everyone! I'm having a little problem in here and was hoping to get some help from you guys so here is the issue: I've just bought a new PC about two weeks ago, which specs are the following: - Ryzen 1600 w/stock cooler. - ASUS Prime B350 Plus. - 2 x 8GB Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000MHz Memory Kit (CMR16GX4M2C3000C15) - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 Oc 8Gb - Corsair CX850M 850W 80 Plus Bronce. - Corsair Crystal 460X RGB. - Windows 10 Pro 64-Bits. I installed everything, windows, drivers, steam and downloaded some games and the pc worked flawlessly but, when I tried to get the RAM to 2933 Mhz I couldn't as that specific MB didn't support my kit for those speeds. I contact the vendor, explain everything and manage to get the MB to be changed to the ASUS Prime X370 Pro which had my RAM kit in the QVL and effectively let me get the RAM to those speeds. Here is when the magic started to happen. All of the sudden and completely random (most of the times while gaming) the PC started to "reboot" and freeze, showing a black screen with "No signal" on it, the GPU RGB goes white and despite the whole system being on and running that sign won't go away and I have to do a hard reset to the system in order to use it again. I got the RAM to stock speeds @ 2133 Mhz and despite letting me play for longer this still happens from time to time. Updated BIOS to latest (V0805) and all other drivers are up to date also but this keeps happening. I've tried to replicate the problem by running aida64, Unigine Heaven and superposition and no luck at all. The CPU temps at idle stay at 32 C and when I stress it with aida64 they get to 66/67 C, GPU temps get to 70 C with fans running at 50/60% when on load (temps seems fine for me but better let you guys know them for sure). Yesterday I've read on a forum that installing MSI Afterburner and setting "keep current constant" might do the trick and so far so good but I only managed to test it for a couple of hours and I didn't try to get the RAMs back to 2933 again (I'm gonna be doing this when as soon as I get back home from work today). Anywho, I would love to get some help from you guys on what may be causing this issue as the system should be fine running at full load with RAM @2933Mhz.

Hello everyone! My friend's computer yesterday began to restart at random times, after a cpu change from G3220 to i5 4460, and a bios update. His motherboard is a ASUS H81M-K. We updated the bios, then swapped the cpu to the 4460. We noticed some bend pins, but it was working before, so we just put in the i5, then turned on the machine. Everything was cool, until the "Display driver stopped working, then restored" thing happened like twice every minute. We updated the drivers for his gtx1050ti(4gb) for the latest ones, then this problem was gone. Then it started to randomly reboot itself. It seems like it doesn't matter if the pc is under heavy load or not, it reboots. The temperatures were okay, the cpu was around 45C , the gpu was at 60C at load. The voltages looked okay as well. He have some crappier type of 400W PSU, but it should work, as it worked well before. What should we try? We don't want to bend the pins back until it's not 100% that those cause the problems. I was thinking about reinstalling the system, as the current system lived through a cpu swap, a video card swap, and both 2 ram stick swap. But i'm afraid that during the installation it might restart at a point, so we will be pretty damned.

Whenever I try to play a game such as Dark Souls or Black Desert Online my computer will freeze and my screen turns two random solid colors. I have had my 1050ti for since April 2017 is would it be the card or do I need to replace something else? If this helps here is the DxDiag, https://pastebin.com/MsbfXxNT Thank you

So when playing games such as Payday 2 and Overwatch along with what i believe GTA V my Computer monitor blacks out, my PC fans go on very loud. My friend had told me it was a wiring problem or something like that.. not sure looking for any advice on how to stop this annoying crashing. Does not happen often only as much as twice or possibly three times in a day of use. general specs i7 6700k cpu @ 4.00 ghz ram 16 gb 64x based processor 64-bit operating system very bad at computers so that information could be very useless or not enough there not sure monitor blacks out fans go on very loud all programs still operating (atleast spotify because i could still hear that) something in my temps said a ridiculous temp but i think my house would have burnt down so im assuming display error

Is there any possible way to controlling another pc locally that does not have a operating system?
