Hey guys, since I'm going to get a NZXT Kraken X60 somewhere around january and my current case (Sharkoon T9 Value) won't really fit it (I cut out 2 140mm fan holes - would have to mount the fans outside), I've started thinking about switching it. While I'm at it, I remembered having a lot of problems with cablemanagement and airflow in this case and since I want to get 2 NZXT Kraken G10 for my graphicscards later next year I need at least one additional fan-mount on the bottom of the case. So what I'll need is: 2x 140mm top fan-mount support for NZXT Kraken X60 radiator 1x 120/140mm rear fan-mount (later used for G10 radiator like a Corsair H55) 1x 120/140mm bottom fan-mount (later used for G10 radiator like a Corsair H55) 2x 120/140mm front fan-mount (alternatively on the side - storage and airflow) Since I want to reuse my cathodes (red) and maybe get some LED-stripes I want a case with a window. The one I've come across, meeting these is the CM Storm Trooper SGC-5000-KWN1. But I'm not so sure about it. What are your thoughts? Kind regards, Trek

The topic says it! What fans do you use to cool your radiator? Better yet, what fans do you wish you had to cool your radiator?

Hello guys, wasn't sure whether to ask here or in water-cooling, but: I've decided to get a Swiftech H320 AIO watercooler for my CPU, I've read that you can see quite an increase in performance by replacing the 3 included 120mm Helix fans with some after-market options. Could anyone recommend me some high-performance fans that are also quiet and available in black (sorry noctua). They would have to be static-pressure fans and 4-pin PWM. I'm new to all this but so far I've found: Corsair SP120 Quiet Scythe 120mm Gentle Tycoon (1450 rpm?) Swiftech 120mm Helix (the ones included, so no extra cost, guaranteed to work) Thanks for looking.

Hey guys, What would perform better, 2x 240 rads 30 mm thick, a 480 rad 30 mm thick or a single 240 rad 60 mm thick, if they have the same FPI? And if I use the same 4 fans for all three rads, shouldn't it theoretically be the same performance? How about noise level?

I already have my loop and know for a fact I'll be switching some stuff out this Christmas as well as adding a waterblock to my r9 290. I've heard one 240mm just will not do the trick and will make my CPU numbers worse. But I shouldn't need more than 2x 240mm rads, right? I could probably fit another 140mm radiator, but I'd rather not have to spend money there and get a new cpu block and some fancy fittings instead. I'm budgeting about $300, so I should be able to grab the 290 block, a 55mm x 240mm radiator for the top (EK radiator) some 45 degree fittings, and a new CPU block. So should I compromise some things, or do you more experienced water coolers think 2 x 240mm rads will be sufficient for just a single GPU and a 3770k (@4.4ghz)? I was looking around the forum, and just didn't find a satisfying answer. I'm very new here, so I'm sure there are some older threads out there with a similar question. Sorry if this is an annoying duplicate, but I did look first before posting.

Trying to figure out how to fit a CPU watercooler, preferably H100i or something similar into my NZXT Phantom Full Tower case. I have 2, 200mm fans in the top already and really don't want to remove them. Any suggestions?

I have a SilverStone Redline series RL02B-W-USB 3.0 and a MSI Z87-G45 motherboard and I only have 27 mm of room to fit in a fan. I was wondering if I could fit a 240 mm radiator in there. Maybe putting the radiotor or fans on top of the case and have the fans or radiator inside? is that okay or is it something you cant do? I own a coarsair h60 water cooling unit but I only have the AMD mounting screws. If somone has them and doesnt need them I could just use that. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi, currently I'm still in progress of planning for my water cooled rig. I'm using an NZXT Phantom 530 case which is able to mount an 360mm rad on top,1x 240mm on bottom/front. What I have WC Parts I have right now. EKWB DC4.0 Pump + Reservoir Combo XSPC Raystorm Intel Socket Swiftech MCR 320 QP – Stack Edition EK-FC660 GTX -Nickel WB And my rig specs: i5-3570k Asrock Z77 Xtreme 4 8GB Redline Mushkin Ridgeback 128GB Sandisk Ultra 500GB WD Caviar Blue MSI GTX660 OC Twin Frozr Seasonic 620W SII PSU. So my question is the single 360mm rad above is enough to cool the cpu and gpu all together? or I should buy additional 240mm radiator? And for the fans for the rads, I have a pair of SP120 which really helps alot in my previous crappy All in One Seidon 120V. So I thought might buy more for the rads. I'll be getting arcylic tubings for this build so kinda torn between just using a single 360mm rad or buy another one. Sorry if my English is bad or asking noob question. Kinda new.

So, first of, I'm new into this discussion thing and topic stuff, so I might not do it right.. Apologies for that. And you must excuse my English language since it's not my native language. Enough intro, I have one simple question and hopefully I'll get a simple answer as well My question is: Is there a watercooling block with a dual radiator that will fit in my case, if so which one? If not, which single radiator watercooling block do you recommend. I'm possibly going to overclock my CPU. If you need anymore information about my system, I'm happy to give so. Thanks in advance!

can someone just freakin show me what i need and where i can find all the parts to create a loop.. i've searched all of what my mind can find and i can't find anything to help.. it seems the 3/8 inch or w/e is the best for tubing or something i dont know but it would be GREAT to know if someone can point the way to a 760 full coverage GPU waterblock intel 1150 CPU water block compression fittings pump 240mm radiators and a resevoir.. its starting to piss me off that people keep sending me to the watercooling 101 link in this damn forum and it doesnt do anything for me.

I currently have two Corsair SP120 Performance fans and they are too loud. I bought a fan controller to use instead of using the software on my motherboard, but they're still too loud, so I need some new fans. I don't want to spend more than £30 for two fans, my current choice are the Corsair SP120 Quiet fans (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-010-CS&groupid=701&catid=2331&subcat=4) what other fans would you recommend?

Hi guyz! I'm planning to build myself a new fully water cooled (custom, of course) rig wich will sit in a Corsair 750D. I'll be using a 360mm radiator at the top with a pull configuration of Noctua's NF-P12 silent fans. My only concern is that I wish to use an XSPC dual 5.25" bay reservoir and I don't know if the radiator will be slim enough with the fans on it to clear the two 5.25" bays i'll need. Here are some dimensions for you guyz, lowest number is always the thickness of the product, derp! Rad: XSPC EX360 121 x 395 x 35.5mm Fans: Noctua NF-P12 120 x 120 x 25mm Thanks upfront. If someone own this case but do not have water cooling mounted it, i'd really apreciate if you could get a mesuring tape and check that out for me! All answers will be welcome! Oh btw, Hi guyz i'm new in here but i've been following Linus on youtube for over a year now! After looking for a decent fan to go with the proposed WC loop I looked at Akasa for any fans as I knew that they had their Viper fans as well as their Apache Black in both 12 and 14cm. But it seems that they've a new fan in the lineup: the Piranha! http://bit.ly/1dFY1XN If the fans are as good as the spec says they are then this fan is the best I've seen that caters to people who want to have silence, performance and aesthetics at a fairly good price. And seeing as these fans are boasting a fairly hefty Max static air pressure 3.04 mm-H2O while still offering a silence level that even tops Linus' favorite fans the NF-P12 (if I remember rightly), at 6.4dB (A) these fans are incredibly quiet. Sound level 6.4-27.2 dB(A) If these fans do what they say they do with the addition of PWM these will be the only fans to ever touch a radiator in my loop ever again! Amazon.co.uk http://amzn.to/1aVzaij Overclockers.co.uk http://bit.ly/HvzZnc Hope to hear all your views on this, maybe Linus will even do an unboxing and review Me thinks this might be a great addition to the H100i video that he did to see how it really stacks up against those green 'n' cream Noctua's!

One thing I was wondering guys, is it easier to install a radiator (say and all-in-one) into the case first, or the CPU block onto the CPU first? Does it really matter? If you could, say how you would install an all-in-one into a PC in order with these steps: Install Motherboard (with CPU on it), Install CPU block, install radiator Thanks.

Hey everyone, In my case (Fractal Arc Midi R2) i have support for a 120/140 rad in the front. The questions comes down to choosing whether to go with a 120mm or 140mm radiator in the front? I know that a lot of the good fans for watercooling are currently only 120mm. But i would like your opinions. Also, would it be easier to sell it if its 120 since its kinda like the standard size? Thx in advance

hey everyone, I'm thinking of putting together a watercooled system for my EVGA GTX770 SC. problem is, this is my first watercooling rig that i'm going to build (except for the H100i) So, my question is: how many radiators do i need to cool two GTX770's and one I7 3820? As a reference, here are my system specs: CPUIntel i7 3820@4.00Ghz MotherboardAsus P9X79 RAM2x4GB corsair vengeance GPUEVGA GTX770 SC CaseCoolermaster Storm Trooper Storage1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD 120GB samsung840 SSD PSUCorsair AX860i I'm going to upgrade to the Corsair 750D as soon as i can. It can fit 1 triple 120mm radiator and two dual 120mm radiators. However i want to use one drive cage in the front and i still want to see my two SSD's in the special SSD bays of the case. I plan to control the fans of the case with the corsairLink2 software and the LED fans/lighting with one simple switch to give the case a "stealth" look switching off all of the lighting ;-). CPU waterblock that i'll be using: XSPC raystorm waterblock, because then i'll be able to put LED's in the block for lighting. http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/product_info.php/info/p12533 GPU waterblocks that want to use?: XSPC razor GTX Titan/780, not sure about those... The name says that it is compatible with the Titan/780 but from my experience; the 770 is almost excactly the same so if you know more, lemme know http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/product_info.php/info/p15426_XSPC-Razor-GTX-Titan---780.html Pump/res combo: Monsoon Series Two D5 Premium Dual 5.25 Reservoir - Blue, because i don't wanna have the hastle of finding a place to hide the pump and the res looks great http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/product_info.php/info/p15953_Monsoon-Series-Two-D5-Premium-Dual-5-25--Reservoir---Blue.html LED fans: Bitfenix spectre PRO blue LED fans, i can use those on the top side of the 750D for a nice effect and i can turn off the LED's independandly http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/spectre-pro-led/ Fans: corsair SP120 quiet edition fans, for the inside of the case, or maybe the outside. Not sure yet Fittings: i want to use monsoon compression fittings just because they look awesome and you can customize the fittings with special disks etc. Tubing: anything that you guys reccomend. preferably clear tubing. Coolant: any coolant that is UV-reactive (any mix would be good) thanks for checking out my first thread anyways!

Hello, its my birthday soon and i wanted to upgrade my pc. I was getting a new case the Phantom 410 NZXT in white because it has great cable management nd airflow. So i was also thinking of getting a new cooler as mine is like £20 and isnt very good, so i have an intel quad core i5 2300. I game on it alot its my main gaming system, so my question is, do i get an air cooler for the CPU or a corsair radiator? I dont know if i will really need a radiator so do i just stick with a good fan cooler? If so could you suggest any good ones? Thanks!

any tips for a beginner watercooler?
Jason Linusses posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
i'm planning on replacing my h80i and cool my 4930k with a custom loop. but this is my first time doing it. any tips? my case is a silverstone tj11 and no, i'm not planning on watercooling my gpus. i've ordered 1 360mm radiator by hardwarelabs to put in the basement of my case... sooo.... any important tips i should know before i start? and does anyone have a recommendation for a great reservoir to use? -
This is a strange one. So, Swiftech are having a sale on their MCR-H220 Radiator. It's the radiator and fans off of an H220. Sounds like a strange prospect. They are being sold as-is, and anyone looking to save a bit on their watercooling loop or looking to expand their H220 can take advantage of this. Remember, you get a 240mm radiator for $39.99 along with fans. From Swiftech themselves. The deal exists while supplies last only though. More information can be found on the product page. The original price is, according to the Swiftech website, $71.34 http://www.swiftech.com/MCR-H220-RADIATOR.aspx

Hi guys I'm new to this forum and I really need help. As the title says I'm planning on doing this huge case mod because when I got my new case (300r) I didin't realize I wanted to water cool. As most of you know the 300r is a fairly budget oriented case and its radiator support is terrible. My idea to get around this problem was to build a alluminium box on top of the PC and put all the radiators in the (1 or 2 360mm radiators and 1 240mm radiator) in the box. I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I wonder if it would be easier just to get a better case because I think making it would be hard and whether it would even work. Making it would be hard for me because I don't have access to high end tools. On the other hand getting a new case would be expensive and would cause me putting off water cooling for a while. As far as I can tell no one has done this before because they think about the car they get and don't cheap out on it like me. By the way my specs are: Fx8350 R9 290 8gb ram 500gb hard drive Gigabyte mobo 300r

Hi. I'm planning to build myself a gaming PC. It's going to have a super-quiet liquid cooling setup. The water-cooled components will be: -an Intel Core i7-4790K processor, -and two MSI R9 290X Lightning graphics cards. As for radiators I'm planning to use one Alphacool 80mm thick 240mm radiator and one Alphacool 30mm thick 280mm radiator. The fans are going to be: -four Cougar CFD LED fans on the thick radiator in push-pull configuration (link:http://www.cougar-world.com/products/fans/cfd_blue_led_fan.html) -two Bitfenix Spectre Pro LED fans on the slim radiator in push configuration (link: http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/spectre-pro-led#specs) My questions are: -Is that going to get me enough heat dissipation? -If yes, then how much overclocking space would I get? -If not, then what would?
