Short long story.Saw some nice prices on a r7 265 and i thought i should get one since a pc in the house could use an upgrade. It had lines flickering across the screen during games and in standby, but less visible so after trying everything possible i rma it.Got another one, same shit, same time waiting and when it came it had the same issues.Returned it got a r9 270x and it's literally the same.I tried to update the bios since on asus's website it says that a vbios update and a certain driver will fix the issue( so they know about it) which clearly it didn't.Now it's worst, sometimes in game a black/white line will appear and split the screen for like half a sec and then come back to normal(yes the lines still occur).I am done with amd.I am out of ideas and thing to try so i did email asus and i am waiting for a response.

Built a PC recently and decided to go with the 270x. I did a lot of research on the card, and it seemed to be really good for it's price. I loaded up Skyrim (completely vanilla) and was getting 55 FPS average on max settings with occasional drops to 45 FPS and a maximum frame rate of 61. According to some benchmarks I found on Tom's Hardware, the 270x should be getting around anywhere from 70-90 FPS on Skyrim with max settings. I didn't think too much of it but what really worried me was Minecraft's FPS, which was around 60 fps average with a lot of drops to 40 FPS. Is there something wrong with my card? I've downloaded all of the updated AMD drivers. Asus R9 270x Directcu II Top CPU: FX-6300 OS: Windows 10 64bit (upgraded from Windows 8.1)

I recently bought a 2GB Asus R9 270x Direct CU II TOP for $230 CAD (it's still in the box), and I've been wondering if a 3GB Sapphire R9 280 Dual-X OC ($210) would've been more worth it.

I have a Sapphire R9 270X 2Gb Dual-X OC card and have several times tried to overclock it. When i overclock the card i get worse score's in benchmark software's and worse performence in games. I've tried a bunch of different oc settings. I have oc with, and used: AMD Catalyst and Sapphire Trixx. 3D Mark Firestorm, Furmark and Cinebench. I've notice performence drops in pretty much all games i play. A few examples are: Arma 3 (major drops) Battlefield Hardline Far Cry 3 and 4 War Thunder Eve Online What am i doing wrong? Or do i have a "worse than average" card? PSU - CM 550w 80 bronze Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AMD FX-6300

My Asus AMD R9 270x DirectCUII maxes out its clock speed at 1000 mhz when its supposed to come factory overclocked to 1120 mhz. I have tried using MSI Afterburner and AMD CCC to further overclock it and it continues to stay at 1000 mhz core clock and 1400 mhz memory clock. Any advice can help Thanks

I have a Asus R9 270x DirectCUII and when I put it under load using valley benchmark or in game the core clock caps out at 1000 mhz, and 1400 mhz memory clock, it is supposed to come factory overclocked to 1120 mhz core a 1400 mhz memory. I have tried manually overclocking both the core and memory it with MSI Aferburner and AMD CCC and after it still stays at the same clock speeds. I have the latest drivers and have tried rebooting, so if you have any suggestions that would be great Thanks

Hello everyone, in a couple of months time I will be building my custom gaming rig and today I went through amazon browsing for some graphics cards, and I saw the sapphire R9 270x for £145. I saw many videos of it saying that the graphics card is good but that was like 2 years ago or something like that. What I want to know is: - Will it be able to play games from medium to high settings 60fps? (CS.GO, Minecraft, Euro Truck Sim 2, Train Sim, Skyrim, City Skylines) - What power supply would be good for this graphics card? - Will I be able to record these games above at 60fps? Thanks,

To beat this budget build! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z4Wqf7 To be specific, in terms of price/performance- ideally something which is cheaper, but performs better and is more future-proof. I'm sorry I didn't list a case and power supply, but availability is limited where I live and there aren't many to chose from. Also this would normally sport Gigabyte's GA-H97M-D3H motherboard due to the frequent rebate attached to it, and the overclocking, RAID, and Crossfire support that comes with it. If it helps, the games I'd most like to play are- The Witcher 3 Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor Halo 4 (this was a joke) Bioshock Infinite The upcoming Star Wars Battlefront The upcoming Assassin's Creed (so was this one) Among several others. Regards, Aereldor.

I am searching for graphics card and have decided to go for a R9 270x, while looking for places to buy this card i noticed that Hawk version was only £10 more, is there a performance difference in the cards? is it worth the extra £10? Do all Hawk cards come with the horribly yellow cooler? What do you gain from having a Hawk card except from bragging rights? Answers to any of these question would be very useful

Hello there Linus Tech Group I am very confused between the Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with Boost and OC Version PCI-Express Graphics Cards 11220-00-20Ghttp://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Version-PCI-Express-Graphics-11220-00-20G/dp/B00I0D81OG/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1440040554&sr=1-3&keywords=r9+270x&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011 Or XFX - Radeon R9 270X 2GB DDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - Black/Silverhttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/xfx-radeon-r9-270x-2gb-ddr5-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card-black-silver/2091002.p?id=1219068840893&skuId=2091002 Is The Price Difference worth it ? Hello, I'm considering building a PC for gaming and light video editing, and wasn't sure what power supply would be best for it. The build incorporates a Core i3-4160 CPU and an Asus Radeon R9 270x GPU, which I do intend to overclock slightly. Here's the list- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZgmJdC However, due to shipping restrictions, the power supply is one of the components I have to purchase locally. Seeing as I live in India, good power supplies for decent prices have been hard to find. However, I have found a site with a few of them. http://www.flipkart.com/computers/computer-components/power-supply-units/pr?p[]=facets.power_output%255B%255D%3DBelow%2B500%2BW&p[]=facets.power_output%255B%255D%3D500%2BW%2B-%2B749%2BW&p[]=facets.brand%255B%255D%3DCooler%2BMaster&p[]=facets.brand%255B%255D%3DSeasonic&p[]=facets.price_range%255B%255D%3DRs.%2B2001%2B-%2BRs.%2B5000&p[]=facets.price_range%255B%255D%3DRs.%2B5001%2B-%2BRs.%2B10000&p[]=facets.availability%255B%255D%3DExclude%2BOut%2Bof%2BStock&sid=6bo%2Cg0i%2Cqbk&filterNone=true Out of all the power supplies listed on this page, which do you think is the best fit for my system? As a side-note, I'd prefer to spend as little as possible, but if you think the premium is absolutely necessary, I'll pay up. I'd appreciate any assistance you can lend me in choosing one. Regards, Aereldor.

Hey guys, So recently my budget cut down by to $700 AUD. So I need to change my build, the CPU that I will be using is G3258 Anniversary Edition with an R9 270X Windforce 4GB (Got a hard drive laying around). So I need your help with with these parts: Motherboard Case PSU (Just wondering, will a 400W do, got one from an old HP build) Ram So the you have the remaining money to spend on these parts, I don't really care about the cosmetics of the build. So a below-average case wouldn't change much. I would prefer a motherboard that I can do some decent overclocking with, as most of you know the G3258 Anniversary Edition is a beast when you overclock. Ram wise, I would prefer a 8GB, if you find a solid 16GB offer I will take that too. I can go over my budget a bit, NOT A LOT. Please give your opinion on the build and anythings that you would change. Budget Table: R9 270X (4GB) $250 G3258 $80 __________________ Remaining budget: $370 (ALL PRICES IN AUD)

Hi, I'm a first time builder, wanting to build something with enough power to do some good gaming, but I don't know what graphics card to choose. I dont want to spend much more than the price of a GTX 750Ti or R9 270X, and just want a card which offers great 'bang for the buck'. Which one should I choose, or is there a better option for a similar or lower cost?

Hi guys! I'll make it short: Just bought a new GPU, and I know its being bottlenecked by the MOBO and RAM. So I changed the RAM, it helped a little bit.. But it still has huge FPS during games (the computer is only used for LoL) during the game it has stable 60 FPS, but when it gets to "team fighting" (where all the "action" happens). I'm wandering if the PSU is affecting so hugely. Specs: CPU: I7-2700K GPU: R9 270X MOBO: Mid-Range MOBO (cant tell you the chipset ATM) PSU: 500W (Generic) Just want to know what do you think, I dont want to buy a new MOBO (yet at least) if I can just buy a PSU for now...

Hello I am currently selling this Gaming PC (http://www.ebay.com/itm/281562670591?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649) I have been selling this Computer for a while and have not gotten much interest. I don't think I made any mistakes with the Hardware choice or the Pricing, Here's the full specs: -AMD FX 6300 CPU @3.5Ghz (6 Cores) -Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 Motherboard -8GB of DDR3 @1600Mhz -1TB Hardrive -AMD r9 270x -600W PSU -Fractal Design Core 1000 Case For $750 I thought I was offering a good value. This leads me to the question: "What am I doing wrong?" As you can see there are no watchers and the thing obviously hasn't sold it just has views. Thanks for your help in advance.

I currently am running an OC'd R9 270x, am playing games like Metro: Last Light maxed graphics 1080p (no advanced PhysX), and I am extremely happy with my AMD card MSI R9 270x Gaming, when OC'd at 1150 (core) 1500 (mem) in Last Light it reaches 45+ FPS and never goes above 60 C. I have come to the forums to ask is it would be money well spent purchasing the 960, or if I should wait to see what red team has to offer later in the year.

Hey guys,so i have a gigabyte r9 270x which has had the flickering screen issue since the day i bought it over a year ago and i want to get rid of it.Basically i want to know if i should try updating the VBIOS or not as i've heard it can kill your GPU.The current Vbios on the card is F1 and i'd try to do it through Gigabyte's OC Guru II which has a "Auto update" feature for the Vbios. Also does it auto detect which is the correct one or do i have to look for that myself as i read on Gigabyte's website that you can only do certain vbios' on certain of the same cards (it says on their website that:You can only update to a VBIOS version of the same series. If your VBIOS version is: F1, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F2-F9. F10, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F11-F19. F20, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F21-F29.).The GPU now belongs to my brother so i need to know for sure if it's safe. Also do you guys think i could RMA it because of this issue? Example of what i'm talking about:
