Hi guys, I recently redid my water cooling loop and have some issues with my pump. I have a Raijintek RAI-PM5 pump and I am almost sure that it cannot cope with the new number of radiators. My loop is: pump > thin 240 > thick 240 > GPU > thick 480 > cpu >reservoir. The gpu temps are alright, but the cpu is not getting enough coolant. I know that the RAI-PM5 is pretty bad and I wanted to upgrade for a while but I don't know if I shoulg go for a single D5 pump or Dual D5 setup. Also, if you think that a laing setup instead of a D5 one is better, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I just transported my PC and after turning it on the fans revved up to max speed and it started overheating. I shut it down and turned it back on again and my BIOS told me my CPU was overheating to 84C and climbing. I shut it down immediately and checked the inside of my PC. I found nothing wrong, pump was firmly on CPU, thermal paste was recently changed and all connections were re-seated and there were no leaks. I even shook my PC around to try and get rid of air bubbles as I thought they may have formed while the PC was on it’s side in the car and was carried upside-down from the garage to the house. I tried turning it on again and it did the same thing, fans max speed and CPU very quickly climbed to 90C (in the bios, no Windows or anything) before I shut it down. I tried to unplug and plug the pump back in while the PC was on and in the BIOS and it seemed to work for a second because the water pump speed jumped from N/A to ~200 RPM and my temp dropped from ~80C to 40C in a matter of like 5 seconds but the speed went back to N/A and the temp shot back to 80C before I shut it down. Unplugging and plugging the pump back in did make it work again after that. I was trying to power-cycle the pump to maybe get rid of any air bubbles. The pump is powered off a SATA connector. I’ve tried many connectors. I think my pump may have died. The light on the front of the pump still comes on white though. Help is appreciated. If the pump is really dead then I am going to use the opportunity to just go full-out watercooling.

Hello. I need some help with this. I bought an aio Water cooling some months ago. Corsair H45 hydro series. The pump noise makes a loud high-pitched and penetrating noise. so i decided to request a new one on the web where i bought it. The second one makes the same noise. I've tried to place both cpu part and radiator on any way. upside down, lateral and with the pump on the top. Does the same noise. I dont know if this noise is normal because is the cheapest water cooling kit from corsair and the pump can be cheap af. I would be really gratefull if someone know what is happening. Thanks! I share you a video:

Hello guys, I have a PC with a i7-4790 cooled by a Antec khuler 650 and i've just finished cleaning out the rad fins. I had tu use a small brush and get in between th fan blades for this as I don't have torx head screwdrivers on hand. I started the system up again and the idle temps are around 60-70 C. I had plugged the lead powering the pump and fan into a chassis fan header to be able to control them since when they're plugged into the CPU fan header, the thing does what it wants and only spins up to a speed high enough to offer any degree of cooling at 70C, since I didn't want my poor cpu idling at 50 C (prior to today's cleaning) I plugged it in a strange way and it was working fine, I found that 50% is good for everything so I set fanspeed up this way and left it. I don't know what happened but now, it seems that very little heat is actually dissipated by the unit and only one tube is really hot, the other is frigid. The cores all have temperatures close to each other so I'm guessing it isn't my tim application that was bad. Also, the hot tube kinda confirms it. However, only the half of the res connected to the hot tube ever gets hot and the fins stay cold, so does the air coming out the other end. I hear water and bubbles wooshing around when I start the PC up though.. I'm really confused as to what's happening here. I also tried different orientations for the rad/fan/pump combo, different fan header and lead placement and same results. Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance

Hi Guys. I'm buying parts to watercool my pc and I came accross thees two pumps: EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM and EK-XRES 100 Revo D5 PWM Planning to watercool my GPU and CPU with a Nemesis GTS 360 rad and some Noctua fans. I am going for a silent build and I am undecided between thees two pumps. The D5 I think is a stronger pump, but maybe for my setup the SPC-60 will be enough. I am saying this because I noticed the SPC-60 is 25 DB on EK website where the D5 is rated at 33 DB. Which one would you guys go with the setup that i'm planning? Thanks

Recently brought EKWB new aluminum water cooling kit and was almost finished completing the loop when I realized something odd. After filing the loop I removed the bridging and the pump testing cable and did not know where to plug the pump cable. It's only 2 inches long and cannot be placed anywhere close to an onboard header w/o looking awkwardly out of place. Am I supposed to use an extension cable? If so any suggestions. So I am planning on upgrading to a custom loop from my AIO. I need some advice for what Pump I need. As far as I know DDC is good for Head pressure, while D5 is good with flow rate. Im not sure what my build would require though. As far as tubing I would like to use PETG. Do I need to worry about what size tubing I pick 12/16mm or 10/12mm in regards to flow rate and what not. I have been sticking with EKWB products for the simplicity for now. My loop in the works, Rad: 2x EK Coolstream CE 420mm 1x EK Coolstream CE 560mm Blocks: EK Supremeacy EVO - Nickel, 2x EK- FC1080 GTX Ti - Nickel Res: EK-Res X3 400 Thanks in advance.

So I just finished building my first loop, and its all working fantastically, BUT, my D5 pump is making a fairly quiet, but noticeable high pitch noise, like really high pitch. Like, If I was 3-4 years older I wouldnt be able to hear it high pitch. Is this normal and is there any way to fix it? Changing the pump speed doesnt seem to affect it

Hello, I have a simple yet hard to google question. I am looking to redo my cooling loop, but I want the output to split into two outputs 1 going to the CPU, radiotor, and then res. The other going GPUs, radiator, and then the same res. Is this possible I have an EK D5 Reno pump and the ex-res 400. Like I said the input for the pump will be from the res, the output will split into two loops.

Hi guys, Im going to be bending and filling my first custom loop this weekend, and I have a question regarding priming the pump during filling. Can I use this AC/DC Molex adapter to power the Alphacool VPP-655 v2 pump instead of my main power supply during the filling process? Due to the orientation of my res/pump, Ill need to rotate the case onto its back, so itll be trickier to plug in and use the main power supply, though not impossible. The page for this product (which i already own), says 12v, but it doesnt mention amperage or any safety ratings. Thank you for any and all advice!

Hello, Im working on the custom cables for my first watercooled pc, and I ran into an area where I could potentially streamline the plugs a little bit. I have my Alphacool D5 pump that uses a molex connector (using 12v and Gnd), and a NZXT USB hub that uses a molex as well, this time using the 5v and Gnd. Is it possible, since Ive already repinned and sleeved these cables, to combine them into one Molex connector? Thus eliminating a connector that I would add to my custom power cables for that section of the case. (Please note that Im inquiring about this because I enjoy efficiency, not out of laziness!) Are there any issues that this would cause? Is it a bad idea to run multiple components from one plug? Your help and advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks! (I think this is the correct place for this question, Im sorry if theres a better location!)

Hello all, I finished my rigid tube loop and now sometimes the pump does not turn on and starts to make a clicking sound every few seconds. But sometimes it turns on without me doing anything but turn it off and unplugging it. I have drained the loop and I am going to filter out my coolant (pastel blue) using coffee filters and a funnel to see if there was anything in it and flushing the system. I bought it a little over a week ago on amazon and trying to decide on what I should do next. Also my 6950x is at 4.3 ghz 1.315v and the temps are at 70 on the coldest core and 87 on the hottest core, using a raystore pro and a 480mm 80mm thick radiator. Thanks!

anyone know of a cheap D5 pump (used or new) and were to get one? the only requirements are that it has to be a D5 pump and it has to be made by a reputable manufacturer.

I recently built a machine with an h115i aio from corsair. There is an ever so slight crackle that can be heard coming from the aio when the fans are at low rpm. It's my first build so I'm trying to see if this is normal behavior or if I should have the cooler replaced while I'm still within the return window of 30days. Anyone experienced this before? I sit about 3ft away from the case if that helps.

I've got a big 900D system with 1 loop and I'm thinking of adding an additional 480 rad and 2 more gpus. Would my 1 EK D5 Revo pump be capable of good flow when pumping through a 360 rad, 480 rad, CPU block and 3 gpu blocks? I should mention I'm using 16mm hard tubing and all EK components.

I am planning on running a loop with 3 blocks, and 4 radiators, 3 360 rads and 1 480 rad, is a single Performance Pcs Modded D5 Uber 665 enough for a loop like that?

Hi guys, Searching for a new pump I saw a new brand than I never hear "Barrow", they have a pump with model SPG40A-X and looks like a light version of D5, I think 1.5A@12V and 4000RPM. Someone can tell me if worth it, the price with top on PPCs it's $51.

Hello, this is my first post here I built my first pc around 18 months ago. (got my i7-77ook the day the 87oo was announced :/) Recently the AIO Water Cooler I got has started to make a strange rattling noise. The AIO is an 'ID Frostflow 240' (was a special offer with my msi mobo). I have confirmed that it is the AIO block/pump area that is causing all the noise (all noise stops immediately when the pump is unplugged. Here is a short video showing the noise: https://sendvid.com/53ll2kmt My question is: is there anything I can do to try and reduce the noise level? Or is my AIO ready for the trashcan and should I contact the supplier to try get a replacement unit even though its over 1 year? Many thanks in advance ?

Hey guys. Need urgent help here as i'm about to have a meltdown over this issue. My CPU pump for some reason is not kicking in at all on my PC. It started as an intermediate issue whereby it didn't kick in on boot and i simply removed the CPU pump fan connection and put it back on, it worked straight away, however, the problem has persisted and gotten worse and i am now at the point where I've striped the PC to the CPU, replaced the thermal paste, cleaned the fan, radiator , and removed and inspected multiple connections surrounding/ concerning the pump. When on my PC, it thinks my pump is running, but it isn't. May i also add the PC has been in transport recently to my college and back however the issue did start before that. I really don't know what to do as Dell are well.... dell, and there support isn't great at all, i cant even retrieve the most recent BIOS update for my PC cause you have to be on a Dell PC to do so. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks! Specs if Required: GTX 960 2GB 16GB DDR4 RAM 2133Mhz Intel I7 6700K Liquid Cooled 330w power Supply 2TB Toshiba HDD 256GB Samsung SSD
