So I've been overclocking my built PC that I've had for a while, like 4 years or something. This AIO cooler is consistently running at 1,300 give or take. The rated pump should run at 2500 RPM, aren't these suppose to run at 100% all the time for water pressure? Is there something wrong with the AIO or am I missing something here? I've roughly tried to adjust it through speedfan, no result of being able to lower or increase the RPM, same goes for the BIOS (as far as I know, thats why I'm here)

Hey so I'm trying to find a better pump for my distribution plate for my case. It uses a ddc pump mounted directly to the plate. I was hoping to change the stock one I have over to an ekwb 3.2 elite. I know the mounting holes for the screws are the same, 50x50. From what I can gather the size of the pumps looks to be generally the same as well. But are there height differences with the impellers? I know my d5 has one that sticks out and ddc is more inside the pump. But idk if it will fit on there well, and Bykski doesn't really seem to keen on helping. Is my only option going to be to order it to try it out?

Wanting to set up a custom water loop for an Asus strix rx5700xt,my question is could I use the fan headers on the gpu since I can set these to GPU temp to run the pwm pump from Corsair and the second header on the gpu to run fans on the rad for this to keep this loop just for the gpu?

Hi All Bit of a weird question. I was thinking of combining the loops of 2 different systems that will likely not be on at the same time. That way I can capitalise on not having to buy 2 separate sets of radiators etc and can hook them up together. I'm not sure how best the pump would handle this situation however, turning on when one system is turned on, off when both systems are off and then on again with the second system is in use. Is it as simple as (wish they weren't molex) connecting a molex splitter to both PSUs and then into the pump? If that's the case, would there be an issue if both of them were powered on at the same time, would it fry the pump by sending through too much electricity? I tried having a look at Paul's Riptide videos and other dual systems (both systems would be high end, not 1 NAS server) but a lot of them aren't having everything go through the same loop. Many thanks!

Hi. So since I built my loop about 3 months ago, I have noticed some slight brownish tinge to the flex tube next to my pump. I used quality liquid from EKWB. I read that it could be some lube from the gaskets? Anyway, I didn't really pay attention to it unitll this evening when I heard a strange deeper whirring than usual and some occasional popping, Now there is a burnt smell, the water is not flowing, and the pump is far to hot to touch. I presume the pump died due to a PSU failure, hence the popping and extreme heat on the pump. Obviously I need to replace the items. As you can see in the pics the tubing next to the pump is very gunky looking, and there appears to be a residue coating the resevoir as well. Why is this? Was this a failure waiting to happen? I also do not have much ventilation near the pump. Should I put an additional fan near the pump?

Hi, So I have the Gigabyte X570-i Aorus pro wifi motherboard, and the Corsair H60 AIO. The mobo has no dedicated pump header, and only has a CPU fan header, and one Sys-fan header. I have two splitters, and initially connected the pump and radiator fan to the CPU fan header; then the two case fans to the Sys-fan header. However, my radiator fan would wildy keep going from low RPM to high RPM no matter what I was doing on my PC at the time. So, I was wondering what is the better/preferred config for this 2 case fans, 1 pump, and 1 radiator fan conundrum I seem to be having. This is my first build, and here is everything I have: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $189.99 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Corsair H60 (2018) 57.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $69.98 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard $219.00 @ B&H Memory G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $179.99 @ Newegg Storage Corsair Force MP500 120 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $57.67 @ Amazon Storage Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $168.99 @ Amazon Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB VENTUS OC Video Card $509.99 @ B&H Case NZXT H210 Mini ITX Tower Case $79.98 @ Amazon Power Supply Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $119.99 @ Best Buy Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1595.58 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-01-21 05:48 EST-0500 Any help would greatly be appreciated. Hi all! I am new to this forum, but every time I search for knowledge about PC systems there’s a topic on the LTT forums to help. And I need help. I tried to plunge into watercooling years ago, but didn’t get far. Now with all the new stuff coming out I dug out all my components from 10 years ago. Among these are an Aquacomputer Aquastream XT Ultra - never used so I was hoping it would’ve worked just as good as a brand new. Alas when filling a small test loop, connecting the molex connector and jumping the PSU the pump gives a thump and the PSU turns off. I then have to wait for a couple of seconds before I can turn on the PSU again. To me it sounds as if the pump’s starting current is too much for the PSU to handle, but I just don’t understand it - it’s a Corsair HX1000W. Granted this PSU is also 10 years old, but I haven’t tortured it and I have tested it with my new motherboard, Ryzen 3800X and so on without a problem. So it must be an issue between pump and PSU, but I can’t understand what. I know it’s an exotic pump and a old PSU, but I hope that there are some bright minds here that can shine a light on my problem! Thanks!

I purchased the EK alu watercooling kit, and I would like to upgrade the pump for the system, but I am finding difficulty finding any information as to what the pumps are made of. Most vendors do not list the composition of their pump, but I was wondering if anyone on the forum would know. The reason why I am upgrading is that air gets trapped in one of the radiators at the end of the loop because there is not a enough water flowing through towards the end of the loop. If anyone has any helpful recommendations please list them below.

So my i needed 1 more case fan to plug but the connectors of my mobo is full. I found out that I can connect my pump through sata? I think? And plugged the case fan to the AIO connector. Is that okay? Mobo is B450 I Strix, AIO is ID Cooling X240 Auraflow

Finished my pc and so far looks good, I end up having a cpu heating problem. I don’t know how to control my pump and my cpu is getting hot.

Hey guys, I will need to upgrade my graphics card soon but all the flagship RTX cards (and presumably the upcoming gen too) are quite long at around 292-300mm and my current 1080 is 266. This means I need to free up some space horizontally in the case (either by going for a smaller reservoir tube and moving the reservoir up or down so it doesn't obstruct the gpu or separating the pump from the res and hiding it the lower compartment next to the psu or both). Any ideas how that separation would work cuz I can't really imagine it myself.. **n.b-> Yes I can fit the gpu in the lowest slot but since I'm going for air-cooled cards again I don't want to suffocate it being so close to the metal divider under it. Any further ideas how to solve this are appreciated! Cheers

Hi everyone. I’ve had a primochill D5 pump for 4.5 years & about a month ago it started making some noises, but maybe for a few seconds at a time & were very subtle so I didn’t do anything about it. Today the pump stopped working completely, it just shut off while I was editing a video & so I took my loop apart & realized it’s slightly out of alignment & a piece of the pump has been rubbing against the side of the pump for a while. I can pop it back into place but when I let go the magnets hold it in it’s wrong position. In the pictures below you can see the white dot is not centered & how it sticks to the wall when I’m not holding it. Anyone have any advice on how to fix it or suggestions? I’m really not interested in buying a new pump especially because I’ve been waiting very patiently for Icelake to build a new PC but I need my current PC in the mean time.

got this cooler yesterday, just tested it and makes this noise. it's intermittent though, stops for a few seconds then starts again. i have corsair icue but it doesn't do anything. any suggestions are appreciated. 20190907_122744.mp4

Hello, this is my first post here I built my first pc around 18 months ago. (got my i7-77ook the day the 87oo was announced :/) Recently the AIO Water Cooler I got has started to make a strange rattling noise. The AIO is an 'ID Frostflow 240' (was a special offer with my msi mobo). I have confirmed that it is the AIO block/pump area that is causing all the noise (all noise stops immediately when the pump is unplugged. Here is a short video showing the noise: https://sendvid.com/53ll2kmt My question is: is there anything I can do to try and reduce the noise level? Or is my AIO ready for the trashcan and should I contact the supplier to try get a replacement unit even though its over 1 year? Many thanks in advance ?

Hi guys, Searching for a new pump I saw a new brand than I never hear "Barrow", they have a pump with model SPG40A-X and looks like a light version of D5, I think 1.5A@12V and 4000RPM. Someone can tell me if worth it, the price with top on PPCs it's $51.

Looking for a low voltage pump (3-12 volt) for technology, However I don't have that much time(Leaving Cert project deadline like next Friday) so I cant get from countries that are too far away so does anyone know if you can get good quality submersible?external (outside the water) pumps for a low price from the Uk or Ireland. PS sorry if this in the wrong forum. Thanks Ben

Almost 3 years ago, I built my first PC. All of the components were brand new including a 'Corsair CW-9060025-WW Hydro Series H100i V2 240 mm Extreme Performance All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler'. At first, my PC was very quiet and the performance was great. I have thoroughly cleaned it and replaced the thermal paste at least a couple of times since the the first installation. Over the last few months, I have noticed my CPU running hotter and my fans getting louder. Naturally, I just assumed these were signs that another deep clean was needed. My PC is very important to me, both for doing work as part of my Computer Science degree and my in free time for playing games. So, I have to transport the poor baby to and from my uni dorm a few times a year which unfortunately means packing it sideways in the original case box. I took my PC home this weekend and intended to give it a clean over the next couple of days. However, I tried using it at home first... and there is a horrendous noise coming from the cooler. The fans are extremely loud and there is an awful grinding/scratching noise coming from the pump. Today, I dismantled part of my PC to give it a good clean and look for any problems around my fans and radiator. I did not remove the pump because I did not bring my thermal paste with me. It is now relatively dust-free and I couldn't find anything that looked wrong...but unfortunately, the awful noises still persist and my CPU is now running at 100 degrees celsius at idle. My system has not shut itself down but obviously, I do not deem it safe enough to leave on since I don't want to risk long term damage to my expensive intel 6700k. The cooler is still within its five year warranty so I have sent a ticket to Corsair and I am waiting for a response. While an exchange would be brilliant, I would really rather not go through the hassle of battling my case for why I should get a new one and waiting who-knows-long to receive a new one while I'm basically stuck without a PC and have coursework deadlines. I'm really hoping anyone might have a suggestion of how I can fix my issue. Thank you ??

Hey guys. Need urgent help here as i'm about to have a meltdown over this issue. My CPU pump for some reason is not kicking in at all on my PC. It started as an intermediate issue whereby it didn't kick in on boot and i simply removed the CPU pump fan connection and put it back on, it worked straight away, however, the problem has persisted and gotten worse and i am now at the point where I've striped the PC to the CPU, replaced the thermal paste, cleaned the fan, radiator , and removed and inspected multiple connections surrounding/ concerning the pump. When on my PC, it thinks my pump is running, but it isn't. May i also add the PC has been in transport recently to my college and back however the issue did start before that. I really don't know what to do as Dell are well.... dell, and there support isn't great at all, i cant even retrieve the most recent BIOS update for my PC cause you have to be on a Dell PC to do so. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks! Specs if Required: GTX 960 2GB 16GB DDR4 RAM 2133Mhz Intel I7 6700K Liquid Cooled 330w power Supply 2TB Toshiba HDD 256GB Samsung SSD

So I've just installed my first water cooling loop and it's loud as heck, I assume it because my pump is stuck at high, its PWM but I can't find any software that will allow me to fix it and my bios won't let me alter the curve either. I've tried Speedfan but my mobo isn't listed as supported, I've tried installing ASUS fan controlling software but there is something wrong with the installation and it never installs properly.

Hey guys, so I have a z370-i strix mobo that has a 4 pin pump fan header that runs at 100% by design. I want to slow the pump down a little for noise and longevity but the other 2 headers are being used by 6x 140mm fans. My question is can I put a Noctua PWM low noise adapter on the pump? Would that cause any damage to the pump? (Using EKWB PWM pump res combo) Thanks!

Ok so I recently had a temps rise from 30C to 97C which caused PC to crash and become unusable. I figured out the problem was my Corsair H115I Cpu cooler.. I decided to do some digging around and I figured out how to take it apart and put it all back together. My question is this. Can you purchase a replacement block and pump to just connect to the tubing and radiator for Corsair products and if so.. where? I want to see if I can Frankenstein this thing and get it working again for kicks. I appreciate any help!

2 years ago, I installed a custom loop into my computer. The pump I am currently using is an alphacool VPP655 pwm model. When not hooked up to a fan header, it goes at roughly ~30% speed. It is now moving at a trickle pace. Does this mean my pump is dying, or could it be something else?

First of all sory for my english. ok i have 2 broken 240 aio's and i want to build a cheap costum loop (i will take the rads and cpu blocks from the aio) and i need a cheap pump i was thinking (https://www.ebay.com/itm/PC-Water-Cooling-System-Circulating-Pump-Kits-with-Water-Tank-G1-4-650L-h-DC12V/202387351513?hash=item2f1f39e7d9:g:hpAAAOSwAV5bYCjv) or (https://www.ebay.com/itm/SC-300T-12V-ultra-quiet-Water-Pump-Set-For-PC-CPU-Liquid-Water-Cooling-System/192357955736?epid=6008881266&hash=item2cc96d7898:g:3cwAAOSwa2lZiFBr) what do u think
