I just changed my ace 650W to a EVGA Supernova Nex650G and my Amd Hd7850 to a Galax GTX 970 HOF. When I turn it on now it doesn't automatically boot my ssd anymore. It just stays at the splash screen then if I leave it alone for a minute it come up with something saying Nvidia GeForce 970 VGA BIOS V5359 Version 84.04.36.00.23 then a black screen comes up. My usb MadCatz V5 keyboard doesn't work when I press Del and ps2 keyboard doesn't work either, the light comes on and have not been hot swapping it. Both keyboards work on other computers. I have taken out all the nonessential stuff sub stuff. When I hold down the del key and turn on the computer the motherboard make a clicking noise. I have tried jumping the Clr CMOS and removing the battery. I have uninstalled all Amd stuff. I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT TRY NEXT!!! Not long ago, I got a PS3 to add to my small video game console collection, mainly because it was cheap and I wanted to play Gran Turismo. It's a model from I believe 2009, so it does not have any backwards compatibility with PS2 games. It's not a big deal, because our PS2 system is completely functional. I'm curious about playing PS2 games on the backwards compatible PS3 systems. Would the output video quality of the PS2 games be higher quality, as long as it is used with an HDMI cable? Would PS2 games that support HD (Like Gran Turismo 4) play in HD?

me and my brother had this "nostalgia" talk, and we were talking about games we would play on our PS2. We specifically remember a boxing game on a PS2 magazine demo disc (can't remember anything else really,) Another game where you are a police officer, you invade a building of terrorists (I guess) again from the PS2 magazines. We also remember another game where your guy holds a blaster and at the end of the demo, you fight a dragon that comes at you from various parts of the screen (can't remember anything else sorry), again from the PS2 magazine demo discs. I know it is not enough, but I guess somebody would have at least a clue of what those games might be.

From what i've read, it seems that PS/2 Keyboards have Nkey rollover, because of how they work that is different to USB (no need to clarify this for me, i get it) My keyboard plugs into a PS/2 port, but it has something like 2 key rollover. I did this Key Rollover test (http://hardforum.com/archive/index.php/t-1523154.html) and my result was: TEUICRWNJUSRIGTVERTELAYDG. What's the deal with that?

Raw Danger seems pretty unheard of. It's a disaster survival game for the PS2 where you play as 6 characters. Am I the only one on this forum who has played and/or owns the game? It's actually a pretty good game, if you ask me.

Just installed my computer into a bitfenix prodigy with a Gigabyte z97n gaming mobo with a RM650 psu and my mouse and keyboard don't work!!!! Nor any of the USB ports for that matter. They work fine during bios but when 'starting windows' comes up they all go off. I have a ps2 keyboard which I tried to use to download drivers for the motherboard but since I don't have a dvd drive I can install from disc without ghetto img the old computer. I've tried clearing cmos also and I'm hoping my mobo isn't dead, please help!!!

PlanetSide 2 Platoon Vanu Sovereignty Requirements: - Must have a PSN account. - Must be in the Palos US Server. - Must be part of the Vanu Sovereignty. Basics: - The Platoon Leader (Lieutenant) will communicate with Squad Leaders (Sergeants) through group chat. - Squad Leaders will then communicate the objectives to their squads. Advanced: - If you are a squad leader or platoon leader you may edit an excel document which will allow you to: name your squad, add soldiers to your squad, and add your contact info. - You may also enter a group text chat with the other squad leaders and the lieutenant. This will allow a line of communication that isn't overly loud. Position Choosing: - Any person can be a squad leader provided that they have at least 2 members. (In order to join the excel doc) - Skilled players may become a Fireteam Guard if they wish. (Lieutenant's Guard) - Any person can be a Platoon Leader, lieutenant, if they have control over 2 squads. - Any person can be a soldier, squad leader will recruit you. I don't really know if this really belongs here but it's about CPU's so... Hello I was wondering if I would get any benefit from the i7 over the i5(both overclocked) when I want to play my old ps2 games on my upcoming pc. My current laptop with an i7 3610QM @ 3.0Ghz plays most of my ps2 games at an unplayable 2-10fps. For some reason games like ratchet and clank(any version), jak and daxter(any version) and sly cooper(also any version) seem to be extremely hard to emulate. And those are the games I want to play the most. I'm also thinking of playing some The Matrix: Path of Neo later on. I want to emulate them with pcsx2 because you can run the games at native 1080p rather than the unfortunate ps2 res which will look like a wet chalk painting on a 48" tv. http://pcsx2.net/ Any help is appreciated, links to guides as well

So I've been playing Planetside 2 for a little while now and I've only just been recently experiencing this issue. When I'm playing Ps2 my screen will sometimes go black and freeze and I'll get a notification on my desktop that says my Nvidia driver had stopped working and recovered. It's getting kind of annoying as it happens 2 to 3 times every time I play and sometimes doesn't recover. Can you offer any help/advice? Here's my parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/M7S

I'm looking for an old game for the PS2 that I played a long time ago. Thing is, I cannot remember the name. It's literally always on the tip of my tongue but I just can't remember it. Let me try and describe it: It's a game where you have a car (everything is futuristic) and you pick up weapons that are mounted on the front left or right of your vehicle. You then use those weapons to try and destroy your opponents, obviously. It isn't racing - it's like a "showdown" game. There are a number of maps, which range from small to medium then to large. There are three specific maps that I remember - one small, medium and large. The small map was like an ancient Maya style map, the medium was an airport map and the large was a space station map. There's more maps, but that's all I can remember. There might be an aircraft carrier map too. If I recall properly, each vehicle you could choose was paired with a character, like Power Drome and Destruction Derby Arenas. Also, if I recall properly, the gravity was low or low in certain maps and the control setup was a little odd, in that the brake and gas controls were for some reason bound to different buttons compared to most other driving based games. For some reason I keep thinking of the game as being called Power Drome, but Power Drome is a completely different game, which I have. I'm really sorry that I can't provide much else for details, but I want to try and see if anyone else may know of this game. And, even though the description I gave is somewhat similar to Rumble Racing, it's not that one. But I do know that this mystery game is similar to Rumble Racing, Power Drome and Destruction Derby Arenas in certain aspects.

I am a huge fan of the MMOFPS Planetside 2 but I have had one major problem with the game, the launcher. The Steam download took about two hours to complete but on the other hand the much smaller update once I open the launcher can take up to 30 minutes for a 1GB. Aside from the slow download speeds the launcher seems to kill my laptops performance while its updating. Does anyone know what causes this problem or a way to fix it? I Have been looking for a game i used to play as a kid ( like 6-9 ) i have been searching for awhile and i cannot figure out the name of the game , i drew a map of the level from what i can remember from memory, it was a 3rd person game and i think the story line was, there was things in the dungeon that scared all the village people away ( i could be wrong ) all i remember were there was a wizard in the dungeon who helped you through the tutorial i think. any help would be perfect. This one is Dark cloud ( Found a video of it on youtube after going through the playstation list of rpgs one by one) The second one was more of a magic game it had a kind of birds eye view and you would go through portals and go through the level and eventually beat a boss, i only played the demo but i used to play it with my older bro and i have some memories of it , yet again any help would be amazing.

Would using a USB to PS2 connector allow me to get n-key rollover? Or does it vary from keyboard to keyboard?

I am spray painting the buttons on a PS2 Controller (L1/R1, L2/R2, X, O, Square, triangle, d-pad) and I wanted to know if I could spray paint the joysticks and the start/select/analog buttons without messing them up. I am using a two in one primer spray paint. It is just the basic Ace brand. And yes the controller is disassembled. Thanks

So, here we are again. I am planning to build a new PC in a few months time. I will be using an Xbox One controller to control it all, but I need to know what some good specs would be. I don't want to spend a boatload, maybe around $500. I was thinking, would an i3 4130 with 8GB RAM and an ex-mining R9 270 or GTX 750 Ti be enough to play games from PlayStation 1, 2, Portable, NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and the original Xbox?

I've heard from a few sources that the PS3 is backwards compatible with some sort of software modification. I'm aware of major backwards compatibility models such as PS2>PS, Xbox360>A handful of Xbox, Wii>Gamecube and early release PS3s do have the ability to play PS2/1 games. I'm looking at consolidating as much of my gaming gear as possible - and heard that some software out there will allow PS3 slim versions to play PS2 games. I've also heard that USB dongles can be used to allow backwards compatibility? Does anyone know of anything like this? Thanks, saya_kucing

i am currently working on building a PC inside the casing of a PlayStation 2 and i don't exactly know how to power it, i cant fit a power supply in it because i want it to look just like a PS2 and i dont want to have to have a regular ATX/SFX PSU hanging out of the back. it has a core 2 quad Q9550 4GB of ddr2 800 and a gtx 550 ti (all salvaged form a previous build) so I would very much appreciate any suggestions on how to power it, thanks.
