How do I make these old web-cameras to run on windows. I just need a footage from these cameras so I can create something like a 360 multi camera thing (photo attached). I will be using python to program the cameras on a rasberry-pi. Windows does detect the hardware (named it as USB Camera), but it is unable to find any drivers for it. All the cameras are from the same company: yotech. I'm unable to find compatible drivers for these cameras on the internet. What can I do? Can some python script help me get the footage? P.S. I figured out that those rigs are called time freeze camera rigs.

I currently have two monitors(different brands-Dell and LG). I was thinking of getting two Dell P2419H. I usually sit for a prolonged period of time on front on monitors. So I need something that won't hurt my eyes. Price of monitors are exceptionally high in Bangladesh so considering all the factors I chose the Dell P2419H. My budget is about 200 USD for each monitor(20k BDT). For people with big heart and a few spare time in hand you can check out the prices of monitors here.

Hey there, I'm currently searching for a new laptop. My use case is mainly software development and a bit of gaming (I do have a gaming pc, so nothing excessive.) My other requirements are: Good trackpad/keyboard, lightweight, long battery life, preferably a 120/144hz display, not because of gaming but out of me being used to it so much that I think I won't survive without it. My Budget is <2300€. Any help would be appreciated! Greetings

Anyone got any got concentration tips for when they're programming/coding? So far I've narrowed it down to Go to sleep no later than 10:30pm If working on an area you know thoroughly (and don't need to think about), listen to instrumental music If working on a different area you will need more problem solving elements, don't listen to music If people are chatting around you then listening to music may be better however being totally isolated is probably best. Changing up my scenery seems to help. If I'm particularly struggling with a piece of work I'll take my laptop away from my desk to the downstairs main table, it's not got the full tech setup but mentally it helps me. No more than 2 coffees in a 4ish hour period, I may physically be very awake if I have more but I would basically be a zombie mentally after that; I don't know why. If you're really stuck on a problem, try rubber duck debugging where you explain your problem to something, your methodical approach of explaining the problem usually reveals the answer ( I do prefer explaining to real people though) Surround yourself with people who are interested in programming (struggled to program in my spare time when all my friends were artists, guess all I wanted to do was draw! lol ) (If working from home) Have a main area dedicated to working, e.g. If possible don't be gaming in the same room that you do work, have that 'work environment' Don't need that taking up brain space. There's probably some things I could do in terms of dietary changes but I've not really experimented with it Anything in particular work for yous?

Hi, I've taken the 'poor guy" approach and I've made a docker image to backup a remote MySQL/MariaDB server into a remote git repository (ie. GitLab, GitHub, etc). I'd like to listen to your opinion on this form of backup, potential security threats, optimization tips, etc And, its free and open source. I'm open to Pull/Merge requests: https://gitlab.com/franciscocb/mariadb-git-backup-docker

As the title says, I'm planning on starting a website to compete with Youtube (as well as spotify, blogger and deviantart. All of those in one website.) I'd like to have a few features available at launch, and I'd like to know if there is pre-existing open-source code for those features. 1. Censor patches On Youtubeb you are instantly demonetized for vulgar content. I'd rather that not be the case, but I also don't want the first thing browsers see is a lot of swearing, and since making a separate censored video for the web-page would waste a lot of space, I'd like to know if there are small size files that can be applied to content as the page loads. For text this at least sounds easy. A simple word library of naughty words, and few strings of code to auto-replace those words with illegible characters. Steam has already done this in their community forums, replacing swearing and slurs with heart emojis. (Not what I would've gone with. I think I'd make the default either a blackout text, of wingdings.) For images, I believe there are already ways of layering multiple image files on top of one another. This could also be used to add things to the base image and have multiple different versions of an image simply by using layers. Not sure how it would affect file sizes though. Video and audio would seem to be a bit trickier. Naturally as a platform that offers both, playing the audio version would just opt out of loading the video portions of the file. This would mean that there would only be the original audio and the censor patch loaded, which might have to be custom made for each video, as ai voice recognition just isn't that good yet. I would also allow uploaders to use either the default bleep, or custom censor sounds, which you can then monetize. Video would ultimately have to compile five or more separate files to play one video: the video, the audio, the video censor, the audio censor, and the subtitles. Again, these patches would have to be pre-made for each video, and could use default graphics like blurring or black rectangles, or custom monetizable censors. How the site actually decides to load these patches should be rather easy. If the user has an account, is logged in, and has censor options set to off, then no censor patch would be applied. To anyone not meeting that criteria, the patch is loaded in with the page. Naturally I'd want to try and have all of this running onsite, however if that's not an option then I'll recommend optimal software for whatever hardware you're using. 2. Monetization Naturally. Just like Youtube I'd like you to be able to monetize your content, either through advertising or through direct payment. I probably won't be using adsense. Instead, I'd like each user and advertiser to choose each other directly. You can message an advertiser and request ro advertise their product, or the advertiser will message you with an offer. This all happens either individually or blanketing across an entire video category. However, you will be prompted to confirm the deal in order for advertisements to show up on your content. And you can diractly monetize through subscriptions, rental periods, or one-time purchases. And these can be applied to content individually or your entire content library. I'll also make it so that you can create group purchases, tying multiple channels' content under a single subscription or purchase. You'll just have to work it out between yourselves in terms of how much of a cut each channel gets. And of courseb you can monetize custom censor sounds and images for your content, as stated in 1. 3. Private servers I'm not some giant multi-billion dollar conapny, so I'll probably use peer-to-peer streaming to distribute content. However I'd like to give users the opportunity to host their own content, either with physical servers or a subscription to publically available server companies. And I'd lime to tie that in directly with the site as to just how you decide to distribute your content. And if you are paying a subscription for servers, you can set ypur channel to automatically subtract that cost from your monthly earnings. 4. Parent curating app This will probably have to implement later on down the road. We'd probably do most things on an honor system, and getting reported for foul or vulgar content that you didn't report when you originally posted will put the content under review, hiding it from the lower rated areas of the site and probably fining you as punishment for a violation. Ultimately, I'd like to have dedicated applications for all devices for viewersb content creators, and curators who will check each content for a content rating system. As an extension of this, I'd like to have dedicated apps for parents and children so that parents can remotely curate what content their children can see on the site. Simply login both the parents account and child's account on both devices, set which is which, lockout settings using a password, and parents will be able to view content and decide whether or not they want their child seeing that content. I'll also enable parents to share curated content lists. So already rhat makes my proposal very different from youtube. Do you know if this all sounds to be possible (code-wise)

I am looking forward on earning income from programming, I have a very very basic knowledge in Popular languages, But haven't excelled in anyone. I wish to master either Python or JavaScript... The thing I worries about JS -- A lot of Frameworks and Libraries to keep Up with The things I worry about Python -- A lot of people mastered it, worried that that may reduce the demand -- I am not actually sure what will I do as Freelancing Project if I master Python.

Budget (including currency): £1000 (With some leeway) Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Video editing, Programming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Upgrade: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/FTomasz/saved/tR3jHx Current Spec: Looking to upgrade my current setup, I'll end up saving up more to get a better graphics card, I really need to get the base setup correct, just wondering if there's anything I should change, perhaps get more bang for buck. Graphics card will be upgraded in the future/when available. All peripherals are taken care of, would potentially get some higher resolution monitors in the future as well. Also, I got the case purely for looks, would it be upgradeable, will everything fit in the future, it's mid-atx, was really looking to get a full ATX instead like InWin 805 Look forward to hearing any tips and advice, Cheers!

To preface this, I'm a total newbie with Arduino and OOP in general. My current project is an automatic pet feeder, and I just need to make an SG90 mini-servo rotate 90 degrees and back, and repeat that action every 6 hours. No idea how to do this, any help would be great.

Hello, so about 1 and a half years ago I thought I found a sort of vaunerability with google maps and over the following months investigateted it further I will go into more details in a secound and would like a discussion and hear your thoughts but mainly I would like to have you informed about this issue because it could affect youreself. If I have spelling mistakes or my grammar is wrong please correct me English isn't my native language. I will update this Topic with mor detailed information when I get all of my notes together ^^ The "vulnerability" First of all I asked 2 companys which sad it isn't eligable for bug bounty so please don't spam random Companys with this article -thx When you are googleing a company or a location google will normaly show you the Google Buisness information that they gathered by helpful locals or websites so google is able to display the Information to you. The Problem is that (at least in my county Germany and I think in others as well) Buisnisses don't claim there Buisness on Google, that leads to the problem that -someone- could enter false Information. To be fair depending on how drastic your changes are to the data that google shows more people will have to report or confirm that information. I don't know how to programm a bot who could do that, but I have had time so I tried how much you could change and found this: Change the Telephone number by 1 number: 1 User Change the thelephone number by 2 numbers: 1 User (sometimes 2) Change the telephone number by more than 2 numbers: Changes drasticly from buisness to buisness but arround 10 Users with local guide or 18 without To change the website I think arround 5 Users have to say the same thing and the website has to have the buisness information. -I didn't focus on this as much as on the thelephone number why will be described in a secound. The Problem with chainging the telephone number: When a telephone number is active on a location/ buisness it takes about [2-8] months for the Claim your buisness function to accept verivication by telephone again. A Person with malishes intend could use a telephone numer and send every incoming call automaticly back to the original number so noby would notice that this would be the wrong number NOBODY CHECKS A WORKING PHONE NUMBER IF ITS "REAL" OR NOT The second you are able to verify via phone number you could turn the call forwarding off to recive the call and verify a buisness wich isn't yours. When you verivied that you "own" that location/ buisness you are able to cainge the information shown on google without confirmation That leads to one of the main vulnerabilitis: You can change the Buisness Website to a simular domain wich 1 Displays a fake website to grab Information 2 Have a cookie grabber and forward you to the real website you the user wouldnt notice The other main vulnerability is that nobody questions if the google bisnes owner is the real buisness owner so you could post events and discounts on the google page this would lead to a lot op upset custimers and a bad buisness reputation. The thired one is that [I think] you could record the calls that you would forward to the other number if you would connect them vai your server but I'm not shure about this last one because to be honest I don't have the tecincal epertise but would like to here from you if you are more skiled in this topic. How to protect youreself: You don't really have another choice as to claim your google buisness and check your data regulary This also apllies if you are not a buisness in case you are a cities office or something like that you may have to ability to take out the ability that people change your data but not shure (again) Before I posted this I talked to my local Police and a few buisnesses who are effected I can't contact all of you and I really want to make shure nobody will be harmed by this so I wanted to get the word out. If you have any questions or something like that feel free to ask I will make a reddit thread as well but its late and I probibly will post the link here tomorrow Reposts and follow ups are hoped for I you do I would love some credit ^^ Stay save Fabian

So I have started taking Python 3 courses and it's my first programming language. I am trying to make a funny magic 8-ball program, but something isn't adding up and I keep getting an "invalid keyword argument" error while executing. I am certain it's probably something silly and simple, but it's still evading me. Also, this is my first day learning. I appreciate any help and tips!

Hey guys, so I'm going to sell a program I made to the local dirt oval racing club. But I'm not sure what the price should be? I had an idea that I'd want to ask R3000 for it (about 200 USD). Is it too high? Keep in mind, that this is the first program that I ever made at a "professional" scale, I also just recently finished high school. So I don't know if I'm maybe asking too much? If so, what should my asking price be? Thanks in advance for the advice! Kind Regards PrimeMinister

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m in need of a new laptop. I’ve had a Mac Pro for the last 11 years and it recently died on me. I’ve been advised by friends to leave Apple and look elsewhere to get more for my money. The main uses will be for school and work. At school this laptop will be used for programming. For work it needs to be high powered because it will be running multiple tasks at once without frying the computer. Ideally my budget is under 1k. The other option is investing into a pc and just getting a Chromebook for when I’m out and about. Let me know what you guys think.

Hey guys, so what license could I use for my app that I'm going to sell? I'm hesitant of using open source licenses cause this software won't be open-source and I want to upload it to GitHub as part of my portfolio. Are there any licenses that can be used for commercial apps? Thanks in advance for the help! Kind Regards PrimeMinister

Hi guys! I am looking for recommendations for a laptop to replace the one I use right now. It's Lenovo ideapad 700 from 2016, with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHzi7 7600HQ, more info you can find here - https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPad-700-15ISK-80RU0009GE.167197.0.html I am looking for a solid upgrade on which to program and play games in my spare time. My budget is around 1500 EUR. Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi, I wanna buy a gaming laptop and I have 3 options which are very similar in hardware but 1 differs in it's original price vastly than the other 2. I don't know which brands are considered better or something like that, and I wanted to get your recommendations please. The first one is Gigabyte Aorus 15G which goes 1500 after a supposedly huge discount off the alleged original 2200. This is the one with the far higher original price than the others. The second is HP OMEN 17 (2020) which goes for 1450 and it's virtually identical to the Aorus except it has 17.3" screen and it's GPU is 2070 and not the 2070 max Q - I am unaware if that makes a big difference. The third is MSI GL75 Leopard 10SFK-029 which is 1400 and is like the HP OMEN except it also has a 1 TB HDD. So my questions in order of importance are: Which do you recommend? Do you have any idea why the Aorus, which has almost identical HW (slight tradeoff - better GPU, smaller screen) goes for such a higher original price? And also, do you think I should wait for the new laptops which will have the 30xx series GPUs? I don't know when those will appear and how much I should expect them to cost, but considering the 30xx sell cheaper, maybe it's worth waiting? Bonus question - if you happen to be a programmer, would these laptops be suitable for that as well? Compile / build code fast ect...? Thanks a lot!!!
